Illustrator fügt der Zwischenablage ungewollten Text hinzu

Hallo zusammen,
seit einigen Monaten arbeite ich in einer Agentur, die sich auf die Erstellung von Karten und Stadtplänen spezialisiert hat. Unser wichtigstes Programm hierbei ist Illustrator in der Version CS5 auf dem Mac. Und manche Dateien haben ein lustiges Gimmick eingebaut.
Kopiert man Text in einem Illustratordokument und fügt ihn direkt an anderer Stelle wieder ein, wird dem Text "DBPolizei" angefügt, inkl. vom eigentlich kopierten Text abweichender Schriftart, -farbe und -größe. Das geht soweit, dass der Text, sofern man ihn in einem anderen Programm einfügt, diesen zusätzlichen Text ebenfalls behält. "DBPolizei" wird also nicht beim einfügen hinzugefügt, sondern bereits beim kopieren.
Dieser Fehler tritt nicht bei komplett neuen Dokumenten auf, wohl aber sobald man gewisse (bisher nicht bekannte) Inhalte aus einem alten Dokument, etwa Symbole o.ä., in ein neues Dokument kopiert. Diese "Übernahme" des Fehlers kenne ich bisher nur vom Hörensagen.
Nun dachte ich zunächst, es läge an im Büro installierten Zusatzprogrammen (FontExplorer oder MaPublisher). Ich nahm mir eine betroffene Datei mit nach Hause und öffnete sie unter Windows 7 mit CC 2014 - und hatte das gleiche Problem. Unnötig zu erwähnen, dass das eine ziemlich nervige Geschichte ist, wenn man auf häufiges Kopieren und Einfügen angewiesen ist.
Für den Selbstversuch habe ich eine betroffene Datei in die Dropbox gelegt. Ich hoffe mir kann jemand helfen.

Farbverschiebung beim Einfügen aus der Zwischenablage

Wenn ich einen Screenshot mache und dies in ein neues Photoshop CS6 RGB Dokument einfüge, dann verschieben sich die Farben. Leicht nachzuvollziehen ist dies über folgenden Workflow bei mir:
1) Anlegen einen neuen RGB Dokumentes
2) Füllen der Fläche mit #2299ee
3) Screenshot von Photoshop machen
4) Einfügen aus der Zwischenablage
Dann Punkt 3) und 4) mehrmals wiederholen.
Nach viermaligen kopieren und einfügen ändert sich die Farbe bereits zu #7986e2.
Hier ein Bild des Vorganges.
Woran kann das liegen?

If the test by CS5 was done on a different computer, then the Monitor Profile might
have been occasionally very similar to sRGB.
Here comes a test by CS6. It shows that the color management works as expected.
About the generation of this graphic:

Illustrator CS6 clipboard doesn't paste text from other programs, stays 'frozen.'

Lion Mac Tryout version: After using Illustrator CS6 copy and paste a couple times (just after you start it up), I cannot change the clipboard.
I cannot paste common text in from anywhere. It just pastes again the text from the last time the clipboard worked. I have to restart Illustrator CS6 to get a couple more correct clipboard uses before it repeats the same paste over and over despite what I just copied externally.
I'm having to still use Illustrator CS5.5 because of this. And wonder if updating to the Cloud version will turn off my access to Illustrator CS5.5. Help!
I think I won't be able to upgrade for real if this keeps happening.

I refuse to debate with anyone in literally lives in an online forum and has amassed >8,900 posts to their name (expecially at a pace of 8 posts per day, 365 days a year). Nevertheless, I stand by my previous two posts. It still can be a bug even though some experienced bug-reporting techno-masters have not seen it. And the fact remains the bug goes away for a while when you relaunch Illustrator. The problem is that it comes back at some point and none of us like the idea of perpetually relaunching Illustrator while we are working on a project in Illustrator. Furthermore, the fact some of us are seeing this bug doesn't mean there's a hidden/forgotten clipboard manager on our computers either. Some of us are also certainly no novices to Illustrator and we know of past bugs -- bugs which did not affect everyone (like the bug in Illustrator CS5 that would cause the application to crash/quit when you try to copy large graphics within Illustrator itself). It is also important to consider that Illustrator users are most often Creative Pros, not Techno-Wizards. As such they would prefer to be spared the lectures when it comes to proper protocol on bug reporting to Adobe. Posting in forums like this one is not in vain. And although proper bug reporting is important, to think Adobe (or the online media) is oblivious to forum posts is naive in the extreme.
For now, you can get around Illustrator CS6 Paste bug by drag-and-drop. Works for graphics but in most cases you can't always do that with text. But at least it is a semi-convient copy/paste-like way to move content from another app into Illustrator CS6.
I would like to add that I can COPY text or graphics within Illustrator CS6 and then Paste them in an external app just fine. The bug in CS6 seems exclusive to Copying something outside Illustrator and then PASTING it into Illustrator. So for those of you filing bug reports on this, you may wish to confirm that point and then file it as a "Can't PASTE content copied from external apps" bug.
Lastly, I'd like to point out that this thread is currently the lone place on the net that Illustrator CS6 users can Google-up any info about this Paste bug. Unsurprisingly, CS6 is so new not many people have discovered the bug yet. Even so, I have little doubt that as time goes on more and more will find this thread and seek some kind of relief, hoping to hear word about an Adobe acknowledgement the bug exists (which implies they are working on a fix). Filing a bug report is the right thing to do, no question. But I would like to encourage those of you who don't have this problem to please refrain from writing with a condenscening attitude when replying to people who have been bitten by this bug. Adobe is a big company and they don't need the help of individual guru users to defend them. Some people who experience bugs vent their distress in different ways. Sometimes it's best to just "listen" rather than brow-beat. I try to do that myself in cases where someone reports a bug that I myself have not seen. I feel their pain.

My Illustrator CC show Dxf files as Text files...

My Illustrator CC identify my dxf files as text files...
even they are valid dxf files as Acrobat or Rhino are able to open them...
Any hints ?

Illustrator dose not save with any text/fonts then locks up program

I will start off with.
I am using CS4 Design Premium with Windows 7.
For the last three weeks I had a problem with a few of the programs Illustrator, Indesign, Fireworks. Not saving while getting an error can’t save this file.
Also in Illustrator while it is loading running the splash page, as it loads the different files it stops and gives an error PFDFormat.ai is missing.
Now I worked with Abode for two of the three weeks. I finally figured out the problem. FONTS I remove a few fonts I recently installed. Great everything has worked for about 5 days and I am back to the font problem.
When I open Illustrator it loads fine but once I try to open a file or create a new file I get an error “unknown error has occurred”.
When I restart my computer then start illustrator when it opens it works with vector objects but no fonts at all. I tried to even use the default Myraid Pro no luck.
So in short when I try to put text in a file in any program of Adobe CS4 I can not save and it stops that program from working.
I know this is a font problem.
How can I remove all the extra fonts with out removing the required ones for Windows and Adobe? When can I find a list of the fonts?
I have also found before you install a particular font check the properties for that file some of them have a block/unblock this file. This is something I have not found if I do not do this will this cause the problem. I think that is the problem but still not sure which fonts are required and which ones I can delete.

If you are having a program loading and locking up fist thing check your fonts with a font program, it is worth the time. I have been working this problem for a month. I even had the Adobe support confused after they spend about 6 hours all together on my system they still did not figure it out. I did I have five different fonts corrupted. They were already installed I did not add any fonts either. Good luck everyone!

(CS2) Probleme mit der Zwischenablage

Ich habe folgendes Problem:
In Photohop CS2 versuche ich, eine Textebene oder Bildelement-Ebene in die Zwischenablage zu kopieren (Strg+C od. Bearbeiten->Kopieren) um sie in das Fluchtpunkt-Werkzeug einzufügen - so wie es in dem mitgelieferten Video-Tutorial beschrieben wird.
Leider kann ich kein Objekt aus irgendweiner Ebene in den Zwischenspeicher kopieren...???
Unter "Bearbeiten" bleibt die Auswahl "Kopieren" grau - somit nicht anwählbar.
Hat jemand einen Tipp für mich?
P.S.: Aus Illustrator CS2 kann ich sehr wohl ein Objekt in die Zwischenablage kopieren und als gerastertes- oder Smart-Objekt in Photoshop einfügen...

Ja, stimmt - jedoch habe ich überhaupt keine Möglichkeit ein angewähltes Objekt in die Zwischenablage zu kopieren, da die Fkt. Bearbeiten -> Kopieren grundsätzlich nicht auswählbar ist.
Das Program ( Adobe Creative Suite CS2 Professionel ) habe ich vor zwei Tagen installiert und keine Änderungen in den Grundeinstellungen vorgenommen. Die Online-Aktivierung hat auch ohne Probleme fkt. Was mache ich bloß falsch?

Illustrator Freezes when trying to use text

Ever had a problem using text in illustrator? Every time I try illustrator crashes :( I'll open a new document and try add some text and freeze. Anyone else had this problem?

Einfügen aus Zwischenablage Adobe Illustrator CS6

Hallo zusammen
Ich möchte eine Grafik aus der Zwischenablage in ein Dokument kopieren.
Ich muss noch dazu sagen ich hab vorher mit Corel gearbeitet.
Diese Grafik sieht echt bescheiden aus wenn ich sie einfüge.
Woran kann das liegen?
In anderen Programmen mit der selben Grafik ist das nicht so.
Will aber jetzt schon gerne mit Adobe arbeiten...

Ähm, du fügst die Grafik in Illustrator ein.... Nix für ungut, aber der ganze Workflow ist einfach komplett furchtbar. AI denkt in Inches und Punkt, nicht in Pixeln. Alles, was du einfügst, platzierst oder sonstwie in dem Program machst ist dieser einfachen Regel unterworfen und das bedeutet im Klartext:
a) Die Dokument DPI Einstellungen spielen eine Rolle.
b) Daten, die keine DPI Informationen haben, werden als 72 DPI angenommen und dann umgerechnet.
c) Dinge, wie Platzierung auf fraktionalen Werten führen zum Umrechnen.
d) Gibt 'nen Grund, warum das Ganze in AI nur "Vorschau" heißt - Qualität hängt von der Zoomstufe und anderen Faktoren ab.
Aus den oben gennanten Dingen läßt sich daher schließen, dass...
a) ...Pixelbilder in Photoshop zuz bearbeiten sind und dann bestenfalls platziert werden.
b) ...Dokument DPI und DPI der Pixelbilder übereinstimmen sollten.
c) ...Hilfen wie Pixelgrid usw. schon irgendwie Sinn machen.
d) ...eine endgültige Beurteiung der Qualität meist eine Erstellung z.B. eines PDF oder den Export einer Pixelversion erfordert.

ExtendScript Illustrator - Change color of text one character at a time.

I'm trying to write code for ExtendScript ToolKit to target Illustrator. I've been writing in JavaScript, but am open to switching to AppleScript if needed. The goal of the code is to change the characters in a text box one by one to the color of the image behind that letter. The end goal is to have the color of the text create the image.
Basically, I select a character. And lets say that character is at 720x648 (in pixels) in a 24x36 in image. Then I detect the color in the image layer at that location. Then turn the selected character to that color.
I have encountered two problems, finding a way to have the script detect the color of the picture at a given location (ideally in pixels) and then change that one character to that color.
So far my code is this, with a color hard coded in for testing purposes since I haven't figured out the detection part yet.

To detect the color, I tried using the following code, but it only works in Photoshop and even there I can't find a way to store that color the way I need to.

I tried using the following code, but it only works in Photoshop.....
unless you get extremely lucky (working with matching Object names) photoshop code won't work in Illustrator.
a possible workaround, clip your text to your image, rasterize it, trace it, you might end up with a solid color per character, where you could read their color.

Creating Dynamic Text Field for Flash CS3 in Illustrator CS3

I've created a series of buttons in an illustration and made
them into movie clip symbols in Illustrator. I then created some
text fields for the button labels and assigned them as dynamic text
in the Flash Text panel in Illustrator.
When I import the illustration into Flash and test the movie,

Text problems with Illustrator CS6

Hello. We are having problems with text in Illustrator CS6. 1. When we copy / paste text within illustrator all color information is lost. 2. When we save documents in Illustrator CS6 then re-open text with color attributes changes to different random colors!! For example: If we save an Illustrator document with a paragraph of text that is part red and part black when we re-open the same paragraph might be all gray, or orange or (you pick a color). Can anyone help us here as this is causing no end of grief. Mac OSX 10.8.2

As promised. This is the response received from iClipboard re the text color problems with Illustrator CS6.
"Sounds like an Adobe problem especially given their last fix which changed how they worked with the system clipboard. We don't mess with any of the data put on the system clipboard. We simply make an exact copy of it and store it in iClipboard. It's a READ operation, not a WRITE operation so no data on the clipboard is changed. We use standard Apple API's to do all of this (proof is that iClipboard is in the Mac App Store--Apple's review process doesn't allow undocumented API calls)."
My thanks to the people at iClipboard however the problem still exists. I'll sum up the issue this way. I have created a paragraph of text in Illustrator that combines black text with red text. I copy then paste the text with iClipboard running and the pasted text is all black. I copy then paste the text with iClipboard disabled and the copied text maintains the color information. When I save the Illustrator document with iClipboard running then reopen the black / red text reopens as grey / orange. With iClipboard disabled the reopened document is fine - go figure. The problems only occur with text - images are fine though they were a problem with the first version of Illustrator CS6. Anyone got any suggestions??

Als Illustrator-Anfänger habe ich ein Problem mit der Textanzeige am Bildschirm. Es muss an den Einstellungen hängen, aber ich kann die relevanten nicht finden. Wer weiss Rat?
- Hier geht es noch um Illustrator 10.
- Die Grafik enthält normalen Text.
- Ich fahre mit dem Cursor über den Text, jetzt verschwindet der Text, sodass ich kaum arbeiten kann.
Wie stelle ich Illustrator 10 ein, damit es den Text immer gut sichbar (schwarz auf weiss oder weiss auf schwarz) anzeigt?

Did you include hidden files and folders in the search?-- When trying to move (not to copy) the folder, Windows shows a warning not to do tha, because ILL 10 could fail to work correcly afterwards.
The folder you have found is the programme folder itself.
So I proceeded as follows:
(1) I created a subfolder to folder 'Adobe': '* / Adobe / Test ILL 10'. So, it is on the same level as the corrupted version of ILL 10.
(2) I copied the content of folder 'Illustrator 10' into folder 'Test ILL 10' (I did not dare to move it, as required).
Very good, see above. You may as well delete the copy.
(3) I started Illustrator 10, once for the old location, once from the new location. But both versions reproduce the problem.
The preferences folder is unchanged, and will even remain if you uninstall.
Want is wrong with my procedure?
My guess: not including hidden files and folders in the search.
If you have Windows XP, it should be in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSERNAME\Application Data\Adobe.
You still need to enable viewing hidden files and folders.

How can I align a text object by the visible text and NOT by its bounding box?

Illustrator CS4.
I am trying to align some text to the center of the artboard. The bounding box is bigger than the text, so when I try to align it to the artboard it doesn't actually center align the artwork as I need it to. The text is needing to be aligned with another text object, so I can't just center align the text and then align to the artboard (which would eliminate the bounding box problem, I think). To make matters worse, the text I want to align has a stroke.
The only way I know to currently align the text properly is to convert it to outlines. This is what I've done, but I need something better. I want to be able to have my illustrator file that has all editable text and then be able to make a separate identical file with all text converted to outlined paths. The only thing holding me back right now is that I can't get the exact alignment while everything is still as text.

The solution is to simple to believe and probably why you over looked it.
You make two text frames to exactly the height and width of the text. You position the text in the relative location and then group the text frames then center that group on the artboard.
Like such:
If you ever want to add text that should be no problem but you have to re center.

Converted outlined text not distilling properly

I'm not sure if this is an Illustrator issue or an Acrobat distiller plug-in issue or even a font, if someone can shed some light I would be so grateful.
I'm using the Mac CS3 design standard suite and the type family I'm using is Avenir on my MacBook Pro at home and a CS2 on a PC at work and the same issue happens on both platforms.
My newspaper only wants ads that are saved is a press optimized pdf with all type made into outlines.
When I view the text conversion in Illustrator's preview mode, all the text look accurate; all the I's and L's are outlined rectangles.
When I save the file as a pdf, with the press optimized setting and then view it in Acrobat, the I's and L's looks strange. When print to my proofing laser the kerning between the any i or l character is increased.
I will open this pdf in Illustrator and turn on the preview mode, Inotice that the I's and L's are no longer outlines but are now are two points (a vector stroke).
Any users out there have a solution other then manually creating I's and L's with the rectangle tool?

I outline text by highlighting the text and then select the Create Outline command under the Type pull-down menu. Never thought of flattening - the document only had two text blocks on one layer on top of a layer that had a placed tif image and a logo (that was completely vector art); I usually only use the flattening command when I use the transparency filter.
Thanks for the tip Wade, I'll try the Flattening with outline stroke checked first and see if that works.
