Im having trouble with " what u hear "
I dont have " What u Here " turned on but when I record with Cubase SX3 its picking up everything on the computer as well as the instrument or what have you. I played with the button but I cant figure it out. Can someone help ?
This is a pain until you learn the quirks... You see the little down arrow... by selecting will determine what you are controlling...
I have this set to mute (below the slider) but make sure Microphone selected... When I get home I will double check but play with those settings

Thanks to you and everyone who showed interest.
These are the files, I put them in both version 5.0 and 5.1 format.
Sub1 is an attempt to make a sub VI that would be part of a larger
prog. It works by itself but not when part of the bigger picture.
The bigger picture is really just 5 possible copies of the sub.
What should happen is when the operator enters a number into "Input
Tray Number" and hits enter, the timer starts counting up to 45
minutes. If it reaches 45 min an alarm goes off. If the "Tray in
Oven" switch is hit before the alarm state, the timer stops and
everything is reset to default.
Again, it works fine in sub1.vi. The problem comes when trying to use
5 seperate instances
of that sub in Tray Timer.vi. The timers need to
operate completely independantly of each other.
I'm SURE it's a boneheaded mistake I'm making somewhere. I just can't
see where.

While Loop construct you used does not truly monitor for the user entering
"Input Tray Number" and then start your countdown clock. The countdown
clock will run only if the appropriate "Tray in Oven" Boolean control is set
to false.
If you started Tray Timer.vi using the Run Continuously button, you have the
VI starting, seeing all of the "Tray in Oven" controls set to true, stopping
itself, then starting itself again until it sees one of the "Tray in Oven"
controls set to false. At this point the appropriate While Loop will run
until the control is reset to true. The other While Loops will have
finished running long ago because their "Tray in Oven" controls are set to
true.
The simplest solution is to enclose each of your While Loops in yet another
While Loop, the continuation indicators of which are wired within the While
Loop to either some overall Boolean control or its local or global;
enclosing all of your While Loops in a single While Loop will have the same
results as using the Run Continuously button.
Remember that the Run Continuously button should be used only for debugging
purposes. When it is time to run your final application, the Run button
should be used to start it.

I am having trouble with my iPad, i can start it, but the iPad does not work. i tried to use the power and home button at the same time, the apple logo appears, but the iPad does not work. What am I suppose to do?
After the Apple logo appears, what happens then? Can you hear any sounds or if you tap on the screen, does it seem like apps can open or are you just seeing a black screen? You might have a hardware problem, but you can try restoring the software and see what happens.
Read this in its entirety before you do anything. Make sure you read the sections at the end about using recovery mode.

Kayla, check the grill that covers the microphone (bottom left next to charging port) and make certain there isn't any dirt, makeup, spilled soda clogging the grill causing it to fail. My sister had a similar issue with her earphone and while I was in the process of replacing it for the third time I decided to check the grill under a very bright light and it was totally clogged up causing her not to be able to hear her phone calls. Use a Q-Tip dipped in hot water and gently wipe the grill. Just barely moisten it, no need to go crazy with the water. Might as well clean the earphone and speaker on the bottom right too. Anyhow, that could be what your issue is and if so it's a really simple fix. If that doesn't help just replace the microphone. It'd cost maybe $5 and ten minutes of your time to do. Good luck, John

I recently added my old mac hard drive to a new macbook with an SSD as my main OSX drive. I am having trouble with permissions in viewing my old hard drive, when I save a permission when I reboot the full access is changed again . What is the best way to get complete access to my old hd installed in my new Macbook?
Open the Get Info window for the old drive. Click the Lock icon on the bottom of that window and type in your password. In the permissions area click the Plus sign ( + ) and Add your Username to it and set it to Read & Write. Close that window. you should now have full access to all the files.

Have you tried a soft-reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

As with all clickwheel iPods, you can reset this iPod by first toggling the hold switch on and off and then simultaneously pressing the select (center) and menu buttons for approximately 5-10 seconds. This is a common fix should your iPod behave unexpectedly or lock up. Once reset, the iPod should display an Apple logo for a few seconds before showing the main menu. As stated I'm having trouble with my computer, I boot it up and within a few minutes it freezes and I have to restart it, I tried updating it to the latest mavericks but it won't finish the installation it's stuck at the end, what can I do to fix this? I need it for homework tonight.

you can try this: boot your MacBook Pro into Recovery mode by holding down a Command key and the R key as it starts up. Once the Mac OS X Utilities menu appears, select Disk Utility. On the left-hand side of the Disk Utility window, select your internal disk’s boot partition (typically called “Macintosh HD”). On the right-hand side, press the Verify Disk button if it’s not greyed out; if it is greyed out, or if it reports that errors were found, press the Repair Disk button. Once the verification/repair is completed, exit Disk Utility and select Restart from the Apple menu to restart in normal mode. Does it still freeze after a few minutes? -
