Image problems - inline, but white space in image next to text

I've converted all of my images to be inline with the text in an attempt to correct alignment issues in various browsers. However, now every image is displaying as two pieces with white space adjacent to the text. What's going on? How do I fix it?
http://mikegatto4assembly.com/Site/Endorsements.html

Lucky for me I haven't an Apple Sore nearby, so I have to find solutions myself.
The endorsement list is one long image.
Solve it by creating separate textboxes with a photo with text left-wrapped enabled.
Inside the textbox, add a second textbox with the name of the person and make the text vertically centered.
Make the textboxes page wide and neatly place them one below the other.
The image shows the outline (Cmd-Shift-L) of the textboxes.
Typos are my mistake.

  • Problem in parsing white spaces using if_ixml_parser

    Hello People,
    I have a problem in parsing XML file in one of my programs.
    The program uses the method get_value( ) of class if_ixml_node to fetch a value. In the XML file when the value is spaceA, then after parsing, the value fetched is A and not spaceA.
    Is there any way to fetch the white spaces also?
    Here is the sample tag. The value inside the tags is " A" and after parsing I get "A" the blank is ignored.
    <ns1:IndiceCible> A</ns1:IndiceCible>
    DATA : l_node_fils       TYPE REF TO if_ixml_node.
    indice_val = l_node_fils->get_value( ).
    In some XML parsing forums I saw that if we add the option as shown below, then the parsing works properly. But this did not work in my case.
    <ns1:IndiceCible xml:space="preserve"> A</ns1:IndiceCible>
    The input XML file is as follows.

  • White space gets introduced in rich text

    Hi,
    We are rendering a form using Output service API. The form contains some fields with Rich text.
    We are able to render rich text on the form but an extra white space gets introduced in the rich text sentences if the text contains Bold, Italics or Underlined letters without any space.
    If either of the two formatting (Bold, Italics, Underline) is done to the letters of a sentence without any space, this problem arises.
    We need to retain the Rich text formatting without any extra space being introduced. The form is a non-interactive form.
    I have attached the screenshot for the same.
    Please suggest a solution.

    Hello,
    Could you please check if "Sticky Footer" is enabled in File>Site properties?
    If yes, does unchecking it helps?

  • JDK 1.6 Installation INSTALLDIR with white space

    Hi,
    I am trying to install jdk 1.6 in silent mode. I am using following command:
    <jdk1.6>.exe /s INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\CA\IAM\JDK1.6"
    But this shows me the usage dialog. When I remove INSTALLDIR then it gets installed in Program Files\Java. When I use a INSTALLDIR path that does not contain any white space then also it gets installed successfully. What could be the problem with the white space in "Program Files"?
    Thanks,
    Rajeev

    Ah, I found it. For anyone interested the answer can be found in a bug report addressing this very issue:

  • White space not preserved with XSL Mapping

    Hello
    Is there a problem with preserving white space when using a XSL mapping? My schema has the following included:
                  <xs:element name="FileVersion" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="1">
                    <xs:simpleType>
                      <xs:restriction base="xs:string">
                        <xs:length value="5"/>
                        <xs:whiteSpace value="preserve"/>
                      </xs:restriction>
                    </xs:simpleType>
                  </xs:element>
    The whiteSpace attribute alone didn't do it, so I've added length as well which didn't help either.
    My imported XSL mapping writes a fix value of " 6.00" (having a leading space) into the field:
         <FileVersion>
              <xsl:value-of select="' 6.00'"/>
         </FileVersion>
    Processing the mapping with an external tool provides the correct output with a leading space.
    The leading space is missing in the output file or when I do testing in the integration builder. Looking at the target payload in sxmb_moni also shows me the value without leading space:
      <FileVersion>6.00</FileVersion>
    What do I miss? I haven't really found a posting regarding the issue, hence I assume it isn't really one!? Any feedback is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Daniel

    My XSLT mapping does not have a preserve-space declaration. I am using Altova MapForce, and apparently preserve-space is not a declaration that is supported by MapForce. I would need to manually add it to the mapping after generating it in the tool. Nevertheless, isn't preserve-space the default anyway if nothing is declared, and therefore not necessary?.

  • White spaces issue when applet is launched from Browser

    I am trying to open HTML file (generated by net beans) to launch applet using window.open function.
    The applet is launching fine but white spaces are coming on top and left side of the applet.
    Any idea on how to remove these white spaces?

    You need a custom html template and to set the application size parameters to 100% width and height.
    Not sure if this is possible using the NetBeans JavaFX project configuration options currently.
    Have a look at the Ensemble sample and Ensemble sample code, it implements a custom html template and 100% size parameters.

    A css reset will remove default padding from an html page.

    The minimal reset required to remove margins around the edge of the page is:
    html, body {
        margin: 0;

        padding: 0;
    }Documentation is on web based deployment templates and application size is:
    http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/deployment/deployment_toolkit.htm#BABJHEJA
    Note it doesn't talk about percentage sizes as this may be an undocumented feature, but I think if you set the width and height in the dtjava.App call to '100%', the app will fill the available area of a window.

    hi, in my asus memo pad hd 7 i have some problems whit the videos, they run but whit many stripes in image.
    what can a i do?
    the firefox is apdated.
    thank you

    Thank you for the update, the fix will be in the release version of Firefox on 2015-02-24.
    In the mean time if you want to continue using Firefox beta our Sync service may be helpful getting your Firefox release data into Firefox beta. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync

  • Usemap error - extra white space after image -solved: area shape must be inline

    When using image hotspots, if the &lt;area shape= "rect" is not IMMEDIATELY after the &lt;map name="Map"&gt;, then FF adds a white space (white horizontal line) after the image.
    White space shows between shop_top.jpg and shop_mid.jpg:
    <pre><nowiki><img src="images/shop_top.jpg" width="1022" height="259" border="0" usemap="#Map">
    <map name="Map"><area shape="rect" coords="251,147,435,252" href="http://www.example.html">
    <img src="images/shop_mid.jpg" width="1022" height="3250"></nowiki></pre>
    Images are touching vertically (no space in between):
    <pre><nowiki><img src="images/shop_top.jpg" width="1022" height="259" border="0" usemap="#Map"><map name="Map"><area shape="rect" coords="251,147,435,252" href="http://www.example.html">
    <img src="images/shop_mid.jpg" width="1022" height="3250"></nowiki></pre>

    Maybe Mozillazine's Web Devel / Standards Evangelism forums may help better.

         <p>Sending Otis to Brian for the board and train program was the best decision I ever made.  After being told Otis could not be helped and that he should be put down, I was devastated.  Otis has now been back from Brian's program for a few weeks and is extremely obedient and friendly.  He is the same puppy we brought home a couple years ago, but calmer and without any aggression.  We work on Otis' obedience daily as well as walk him and put him on the treadmill.   Thanks to Brian, our dog is happy-go-lucky and more approachable.  The list goes on and on of how Brian has helped the family, myself, and especially Otis.  If you are having issues with your dog, especially behavior and aggression problems, my advice to you is to trust Brian.  Your dog will be in good hands with a safe, reliable, responsible, dog lover that will treat your dog like his own.<br />

    The issue with that white space is explained by the use of relative positioning of your menu. Remember that relative positioning visually allows you to move an element, but that its "shadow" or "foot print" is retained in the document flow. So it still takes up space where it originally flowed in your content, and this causes the header image to position itself the way it does. Turn off the relative positioning of the menu to see what I mean. A simple solution is to set the #header to relative positioning, and then apply absolute positioning to the menu.
    There are other issues with your code. Much of it can be simplified, and you should really stop using ID selectors from this point on, and predominantly use classes instead. The use of ID selectors ought to be limited as much as you can - they force you to write bloated convoluted code.
    Try to write DryCSS (Don't Repeat Yourself).
    Here is my somewhat cleaned up code. Notice I removed and simplified most of the css selectors. Some have no css properties at all anymore. And be careful that you cannot use re-use the same id selector in your html  code: it will not validate. #program1 must become .program1
    PS as always, please backup your files before applying these changes! Dreamweaver lacks a history/versioning feature!

  • I can't get rid of white space between images (even when margins are 0)

    I'd like the user to be able to add two images that actually touch. I've set up 2 image fields that are touching, and set the margins to 0, but there is still white space in between the user added pictures.
    I thought maybe the problem had something to do with borders, but when i click the borders palette, it tells me "these properties are not available for forms that contain background artwork".
    Any help is appreciated.

    The behavior only appears if you create a static form.
    I saw an old thread about it here in the forums, you have commented too.
    It probably will never get changed or nobody have ever send a bug report about this to Adobe.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4927663#4927663
    I never had such problem with image fields in dynamic forms.
    And I almost never build static forms from existing PDF files, as those forms are too limited in — ahem — everything.

  • Many images and buttons on websites are not visible and appear as white space.

    i am unable to see buttons such as the "buy now" button, but when i scroll over the white space, the cursor changes to alert me that i've found the button. also, websites i frequent are now missing images and logos on this computer. i am windows XP pro, firefox browser. thanks for any assistance.

    -> click '''Firefox''' button and click '''Options''' -> Content panel -> place Checkmark on '''Load Images Automatically''' -> click '''Exceptions...''' button and click '''Remove All''' -> Now type the address of websites on which you want Images to appear e.g. '''msn.com''' , '''yahoo.com''' , '''google.com''' , etc. -> click '''Allow''' for each, One by One -> click Close - > click OK on Options window -> Restart Firefox
    -> Go to your concerned websites
    * Right-click empty space within the page and click '''View Page Info'''
    * In the '''Page Info''' window, select the '''Media''' panel and Remove Checkmark from '''Block Images'''
    * In the '''Page Info''' window, select the '''Permissions''' panel

  • How do I get rid of white space on one side of image in table cell?

    I'm making a disjointed rollover and when ever I add images it creates too much white space to the right of the cell.  How can I make the picture fit, so space is not wasted?  See image sample with red arrows where I want to remove space.  I've removed the width size from my table, hoping it would "spring to shape" around the images, but no go.

    HTML:
    Cellpadding="0"
    Cellspacing="0"
    CSS:

  • White space between images

    I have 5 rollover images lined up beside each other in a
    table cell. I have reduced their borders to 0, the cell padding and
    cell spacing to 0 also. I even tried reducing the images padding
    and margin to 0. However, there is still a really thin line between
    each of the images that i want to get rid of (it's as if the images
    all have a small white border around them, but I've reduced their
    borders to 0).

    The gap I see is in the images themselves - the outermost

    bottom pixels are faded. There's no other gap between the
    images in
    Opera and IE 6.

  • White space/margin around images in onClick popup windows

    Hi. I'm using a JavaScript function that comes with
    dreamweaver so what when users click on thumbnail images, a larger
    window pops up with the image. Here's the function:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    <!--
    function MM_openBrWindow(theURL,winName,features) { //v2.0
    window.open(theURL,winName,features);
    //-->
    </script>
    Here's an example of how I'm using it in the code:
    <a href="javascript:;"><img
    src="dr_chm_allrgt_200x281.jpg" width="200" height="281" border="0"
    onclick="MM_openBrWindow('dr_chm_allrgt_400x300.jpg','','width=300,height=400')"
    /></a>
    This works great, except for one thing: the image doesn't
    appear in the very top left-hand corner of the pop-up window --
    there's some white space around it, and the right and bottom edges
    of the image are cut off, because they don't fit in the pop-up
    window. I'm wondering, is there some way around this problem,
    that's less messy than changing the width and height that I'm
    passing to the function every time?
    Thanks

    You are opening an image directly in the browser -
    MM_openBrWindow('dr_chm_allrgt_400x300.jpg'
    In that case, you have no control over how the browser
    displays the image.
    To get control, you would have to open an HTML page that
    contains the image
    instead of opening the image directly.
    There are extensions that will do this for you on the fly -
    the one I use is

  • Conditional Build Tab for image leaves extra white space

    I've applied the "Print" Conditional Build Tag to an image in
    my online help. When I generate the help and view it in the
    browser, extra white space is inserted between the steps. For
    example, instead of the steps being:
    1.
    2.
    3. etc.
    They now look like this:
    1.
    2.
    3. etc.
    Why is there extra white space where the image used to be?
    Thanks in advance for your help. Using RoboHelp7 -- WebHelp.
    Bill

    Probably there is a paragraph break or a space that you can't
    see but is not enclosed in the conditional tag.
    Check the html code immediately before and after the tag.
