Image size not showing when inserting into html

I have Dreamweaver CS3
I noticed after inserting a bunch of images using the html pane I noticed that the image sizes where not showing in the html, i.e
<li><img src="pics/customerphoto/thmbs/100_0223_thmb.JPG" alt="guitar rack" /></li>
however, when I drag them in to the preview pane (which I prefer not to do), the sizes are referenced, i.e
<li><img src="pics/customerphoto/thmbs/001_thmb.jpg" width="140" height="94" /></li>
I prefer to have the sizes included in the html and certainly don't want to manually add them. Is there a way to do this through the html pane?

Right Click on picture. Hit Reset Size. The native height and width will then show in the image properties pane.

Images not showing when inserted in RH8 topics

Hello all,
I am using RH8 for HTML on Windows 7. When I insert a new image into a topic, the image does not show. What appears is a small red square.
You probably want to know how I inserted the images. I create the image (usu a jpg file) in Photoshop Elements. Using Windows Explorer, I copy the image file into the Images folder for the RH project. In the RH topic, I click Insert, Image. In the dialog box, the image does not show up under the images folder, so I click the Browse icon to browse to teh image, select it and click ok. The image is inserted.. I can tell because there is a red square, and when I preview the topic, I can see the image is there.
Also, even after I have inserted the image, and it then shows up in the Images folder in the "insert image" dialog box, I still cant see a preview of it.
How can I get the images to show in the topic when i insert them?

When you generate your output, do the images show up there?
Can there be an issue with upper case / lower case filenames? Any special characters in the file names?

Pasted image does not show when imported to AI

Mac OS 10.4.11 - Acrobat CS4. I made a contact sheet of images in Bridge which was saved as a PDF. In Acrobat I pasted another image (different size ratio) and saved again. However, when I placed the image in Illustrator the pasted image did not show, only the original contact images. It does not show at preview level either, but when the PDF is opened it is definitely there. I tried to 'flatten' it but cannot find a option that works.See attached file.

I would love to help you, but I'm totally lost as to what you are trying to do.
Here are my questions:

There really isn't an Acrobat CS4. There is Acrobat 9 that shipped with CS4. But let's go one.

OK, this is where you lost me. Acrobat does not have a paste image ability. Exactly how did you get that image onto the Acrobat page? You copied from where? You pasted how? This is totally screwey.
However, when I placed the image in Illustrator the pasted image did not show, only the original contact images.
Placed what image? The original PDF contact sheet? Why are you trying to put it into Illustrator? There's no reason I can think of to do such a thing.
PDF is usually the final output form. It isn't a page layout tool to place into other programs.
It does not show at preview level either, but when the PDF is opened it is definitely there.
Still trying to figure out what you talking about.

You have totally lost me. There is no "flatten" in PDF? That's in Photoshop? What are you doing???

Images do not show when deployed on remote server

We are using jdeveloper 11.1.2.1, adf and integrated weblogic and remote server has weblogic where we deploy the application for testing.
We have a login.html page. when deployed and running the image in login.html does not show in FF or IE 8. It shows on IE9. when deployed on the remote server.
When deployed on the integrated server only fire fox shows the image. None of the other web browsers show the image in login,html

The problem does not seem to be with TopLink or JPA, so you may want to post this question to a different forum, such as the JDeveloper/ADF forum at:

If the image itself is being sent but not loaded, you might check that it is a display issue with the browser being used.

Tab does not show when dragged into it's own new window

This happened after I updated to Firefox 8.0.1. Same problem with 9.0.1. I'm on a Mac running OS X 10.5.8. I have not changed any add-ons, plugins, extensions, or anything like that.
Every time a tab is dragged from my main window to form it's own new window, the tab button on the new window does not appear. I only have a + sign showing.
A tab will show when I open a new tab, but the original "tab" does not appear. The + sign also appears on the left side of all new tabs. Isn't it supposed to be on the right?
If I have 2 "tabs" open but only have 1 tab showing and try to close the window, Firefox asks me if I'm sure I want to close the 2 tabs.
Tabs when opening blank new windows work properly. Dragging a tab to an already opened window works fine as well.
Most of the time a tab is dragged out on accident, and it is quite annoying because I can't drag it back into the main window.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I found the cause but no solution, it's actually a plugin that does that: divx plus weblpayer (it gets installed when you install DivX on your system), if you disable it and restart firefox it all works again. But I want that plugin... so DivX need to fix this, unless it is a Firefox bug in its own core... anyway these two together creates the problem.
(I'm running Firefox 9.x on OSX Lion)
I also wish firefox tab tear out tab worked more like chrome's tab tear out, much friendlier...

RoboHelp HTML 9.0.1 - My images are not showing when published

Hi all,
We have just upgraded from RH5 to RH9. We are using IE9. All of our projects transferred over just fine - except for one. We are able to publish this topic; however, the images within the topics are not being displayed when we publish - we get the dreaded red 'x'. We can see the images when viewing the topics in RH. However, they are not listed in the images folder in the Project Manager. The images can be seen using Quick view and Internet view. However, they cannot be seen when we generate a Word document.
Every other project is functioning properly. We can publish everything else just fine. This one project is our oldest project, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Any guidance or direction will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help. I did attach one of my images as a baggage file, and low and behold, the image appeared in my topic after publishing (I'm sorry I thought you were both nuts). I just hope there is something I can do short of attach over 6500 images as baggage files.

Images are not showing when page load

Hello All
I am having lot of webparts on my page.
In two of them webpart i applied xslt and showing image of created by person in this
1)Announcement webpart(Wall updates)
2)Showing blog using content by query webpart(Blogs)
While page loading not able to load images in both webpart view.
But when i decreases webparts on page images rendered properly.
I think it is taking time to fetch images so timeout and showing default images.
Kindly suggest me some way to tackle and images will displayed properly

Hi,
According to this documentation from MSDN about
SharePoint Server 2010 capacity management: Software boundaries and limits:
“In SharePoint Server 2010, there are certain limits that are by design and cannot be exceeded”, “The default values for these limits were defined by testing, and represent the known
limitations of the product. Exceeding supported limits may cause unexpected results, significant decrease in performance, or other harmful effects”, “in most cases, operating at or near an established limit is not a best practice, as acceptable performance
and reliability targets are best achieved when a farm’s design provides for a reasonable balance of limits values”.
So it is not recommended to add many web parts into one page.
If there is a special need to display many web parts in one page, it is recommended to reorganize the content to minimize the number of web parts in use and customization will
be needed sometimes if the built-in web parts can’t meet the requirement.

Image galleries not showing when site is uploaded to the web.

My site currently works fine. However, when I add a new set of photos to the image gallery and republish my site to the web the "work" page doesn't load anything at all.
As soon as I delete the new images set, and republish the site to the web, it works fine again.
I will add a new set of images now so that the site goes blank and people will understand.

I hope somebody knows what is happening here.

How do I get top of page curl (IDCS4 to SWF doc) to show when inserted into DW?

Is there a way to get the top & bottom of page curls to show on my web page the way they do in the html preview? (With a transparant efffect?) I've attached the SWf file, if that helps.

Hey, well thanks for responding.... but, if ANY other people who are novice web designers want to find out the answer to what, apparently, is a dumb question, a point in the right direction would be nice. Even if it was only a few people checking back to see if an answer was there, it means they want to know how - just as badly as I do.

When I open Photoshop CS6, the image does not show in Photoshop. The image IS open, i.e. the filename is shown on a tab and the image layers show in the layer panel. What is going on?

Both Photoshop and Bridge open as usual. But when I open an image, the image does not show in the image area. The image filename does show in a tab and the layers show in the layer panel. What is going on and how do I fix this.

I resolved the problem. It was somehow related to my using Microsoft
theme pictures. I set Windows to use the basic theme and the problem
went away. Thank you for the suggestions.

I've seen the opposite issue. My wife recieved an email with jpg attachments. She couldn't see or print them on her iPhone 4S but they showed up fine in iCloud or in the mail app. I had her forward the email to herself and then they showed up. I assume there is an issue with how Apple is processing the attachments and resending causes them to get reformatted in a way that makes them easier to handle.
So yeah. Seems like some bugs. Hope Apple fixes them soon.

Hi Terence, When I am uploading photos from a memory card,not all of the photos show up on I photo as a photo image, but show up as a dotted square line. For example, I just added 12 photo from two days. The first day had 5 photos, but only 4 show up as images, then there is 1 as dotted a square. The next day, there 7 images, with only 4 showing up as photos, and three as the dotted squares.
I am using I photo 11, 9.1.1.

Images do not show up

I can get some .gif images to show up in my Dreamweaver HTML
page and can see them when I upload the document.
Other images are not showing up.
The images that show up and do not show up are in the same
"images" folder. All of them have been uploaded.
The images that show up were created by a software program
that made them be .gif images.
The images that do not show up were made in Adobe
Illustrator. I then imported them into Adobe Photoshop and saved
them as .gif, .jpg. png. and even used the "save for web" feature.
I also imported the image into Fireworks and saved it as .gif and
.jpg.
None of the copies of the image that I created are showing up
in a webpage.
I have used the image icon to place the image. I also went to
Insert | Image and put the image in that way. Plus I tried the drag
and drop method to get the image onto the page. In many cases I can
see the image on the page in Dreamweaver, but not when I upload the
page. Not even the alt tags with the red X show up online. Each
image does have an alt tag.
I have no clue what to do because other .jpg and .gif files
are showing up as images. Oh, and when I used a .gif version as the
background, it worked as a background.
If you know why an image I made will not appear after being
linked to a webpage and uploaded, please tell what you know. I am
stumped on this one.

With this one, again the only image that shows up is one that I
made originally as a bmp export out of Snap Surveys, turned into a
gif in Photoshop (I think). In the table toward the bottom with the
pink squares there should actually be two pink squares, one should
have an image in it. Being a practice page that I did not expect
others to look at I left the obnoxious background. If this is too
annoying, I can remove the background and repost.
Did you define a site in the site manager?
I'm sorry but I do not know what this means. I regularly have
a site at www.onlineschoolsurveys.com. The first link goes to a
page that is actually a part of the website- I tried using a
template I know works thinking that maybe the non-templated page
was flawed. So if you are asking if these were loaded to an active
website: yes, I regularly have pages at that website, but no, these
pages are not intended to be a part of my regular website. I was
just using that space to practice.

Yes, the images were uploaded. They should exist in an image
folder. Although it may be really stupid for me to make a link to
an unprotected list of files, here is the list of images in my
images folder:

Swf not working after inserted into dreamweaver

I'm rather new to flash and Dreamweaver CS5. I created a media playback swf that displays pictures. It works perfectly when I view it in Flash but when I insert the swf into my website in Dreamweaver the images do not show up, the backgound and everything else show up in my preview in Dreamweaver but no images....All the images and swf files are all in the same directory, all the code looks correct to me but I cannot figure out what is wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
