Images and Effects not printing right in ID CS2

I'll try to describe my problem to the best of my ability. I am using CS2 and In Design for some brochures.
Basically I created some background art in Illustrator (it's just a wave yellow in color) and on the rest of the page is text and some images. I also have some more illustrator created simple art work like text bubbles with a drop shadow added in In Design.
When I print the sheet, behind the images is a Box that isn't visible on screen. It basically discolors the yellow background in the boundary of the object placed on the page by essentially looking like a white box with the opacity at a low level.
Could anyone tell me if this is a problem with the printer, or the settings of the document, and how I could fix it?

Also, I apologize for asking what was probably viewed here as a dumb question. I'm under the gun because designing products is my real responsibility. I am just doing the brochures because they don't want to pay a professional.

LR 4 - image does not appear in Preview and will not print`

The selected image appears on the main/center panel but not in the preview screen. Printing results in a white sheet of paper with no image at all. The image has been updated to LR 4 - but made no difference. I've served help and the forums (where i saw mention of similar problems, but no comments or guidance on the problem). What am I doing wrong?

The problem began with the installation of LR4. I print directly from LR4 to my HPZ3100. I routinely select "print preview" in the print dialogue box. Now the first print I see the preview and then it prints. If I select a second print job and use the "print preview" the print preview screen comes up blank and never loads. If I try to delete the print job, it just never responds (resolves) so I have to turn off the computer and the printer and restart to clear the print job. if I don't use the print preview, it prints just fine (except that I'm not able to check what's about to be printed). Thanks for any thoughts you have on this.

Bill, if this is only happening some of the time, then we are probably looking at a resource issue. Any pattern in when things won't print? e.g. Certain file type won't but others will? Or is it more of a timing/order thing? e.g. First file prints fine, second does not? VStromee, do no files print for you? Or is it like Bill and sometimes the print and other times they do not? Did you install any new software recently or have any updates to the OS or any application that has printing capabilities?

Photosmart 7520 - error code 0x61011beb makes alot of noise and will not print!!!!

I am at the year mark with this print. It has only been used about five times. I tried to use it one day and recieved an error message 0x61011beb. The printer is making alot of noise like its moving the ink over too far and do not know when to stop it. I have tried about everything. Unplugging, resetting, and just about everything that is mentioned on here to do. I am at a lost right now.
You only use the printer when needed. I had an interview and could not print my resume. I am not liking this HP at the moment. It is really letting me down.

I am sorry your printer has let you done when you needed it most! Let's see what we can do to get it working again.
The error message you are seeing generally means 'carriage jam'. Please use the solutions offered in the following document to resolve the issue; A 'Carriage Jam' Message Displays on the Control Panel.
If the issue persists, I recommend calling HP and letting the know the issue as well as the steps you have already completed. It may be helpful to even let them know you completed all of the steps in HP document #c03405144.
If you are in Canada or US call 800 474 6836, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
HP printers generally have a 1 year warranty from their purchase date, you can verify the warranty using the following link if you would like; warranty check.
Even if the printer is out of warranty, it is best to call HP to see what they have to offer.

We use CS6, yes we calibrate using x-rite. I have always had adobe manage colors when printing. This problem just occurred, all my settings are the same as they have been for years. The only thing we did lately is do an update to CS6. We thought it might be our printer but when we use the printer manages color it works fine, The problem with adobe manages color is it is not blending the light highlights like on top of the cheeks with the colors around the cheeks and its putting a faint red between the two it just does not have a smooth transition. I printed a photo that I had printed 4 months ago with no issue, and this time it had the issue that I am dealing with now. Somehow the photo shop manages color is not getting the right info to my printer.

HP 7280 all-in-one says ink cartridges are empty and will not print from PC, but it copies fine.

Replaced 2 ink cartridges in hp 7280 but still says both cartridges are empty and will not print from PC, but it will copy fine. When I try to print I get a error box that says "Ink cartridges empty - replace black and yellow ink cartridges to continue." They are brand new - just bought them - expiration date Sep 2015. Have tried rebooting and disconnecting and reconnecting everything. Same error, but it still will do color copies fine - all cartridges are working. Help?!

I understand you have a Photosmart C7280 that you are unable to print to from your computer. I'm sorry to hear about this, but I will certainly do my best to assist you in resolving this issue.
Before I can offer any suggestions I do need to know which version of Windows or Mac that you're using and how the printer is connected (wireless or USB). Once I have that information I should be able to help you better. In the meantime, if you're using Windows, please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to see if it can assist with the issue at hand

I worked for HP but now I'm retired!

JA4580 will not print right border of document in any reduction

My printer cuts off right edge of document in any reduction. Can not access print preview.
Please advise correction in non technospeak.

For further assistance, I will need to know:
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
If the printer is able to make copies.
If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
The name of the program you are printing from.
If you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens!

Try starting Aperture with the command and option keys held down. You'll get 3 options.
Try each, starting at the top, in order, checking after each to see if it fixes the issue.

The document shows in the printer viewer, but it is paused and will not print.

Hi, are you referring to a problem in trying to print via the ePrint service e.g.. sending an email to your printer's email address, or printing directly from your PC/laptop?

Mail with image and PDF not displaying correctly on Outlook

Environment and problem
OS X Mountain Lion, Mail 6.1 (everything up to date)
Emails with mixed image and PDF attachments send from my MacBoox Pro are not being displayed correctly when received on Outlook. It is not an Outlook problem.
Multiple inline images - ok
I compose an email, rich text format, insert severnal inline images, send to colleage on Windows 7 using Outlook, all received ok. He sees the message with inline images.
Multiple inline images and PDF - not ok
I compose a similar email with multiple inline images, but attach a PDF. This time all of the attachments (images and PDF) appear at the end of the message when viewed in Outlook.
Gmail browser comparison
I repeat the above from a Gmail account via Safari and I can make an email with inline images and PDF attachments and it works.
Any thoughts, tips, bug reports, etc appreciated.

My problem was solved by installing Attachment Tamer.
It could also have been solved by emailing from Gmail directly.
The guys I work with use Outlook and were suprised to see this behaviour.
It's only basic OS X email that has a problem.
I wholeheartedly agree that the standard for emails are not conducive for rich layout control.
But - when my email just has images I had no problems. Take for example the email notifications we're getting from this thread - there are images and layout etc and work fine.
The key feature from Attachment Tamer hints at the problem (and its solution):
send images embedded in HTML layout and safely mix embedded images with other attachments;

For this particular error, I have found the NVRAM Initialization type of reset to be beneficial in restoring functionality. Note that completing this step will reset your printer's wireless configuration, ePrint address, and other customized printer settings. 8500 does not show troubleshooter as turned on. It is on and will not print.

Had this printer for many years. No problems. It now will not print. Windows 7 troubleshooter says to turn on the printer and try again. The printer was and is powered up and will not print. I have cycled both the printer and the computer trying to sync them.

Uninstall LR from Control Panel—there may be more than one entry: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, Photoshop Lightroom, Lightroom are all possibilities, then after LR has been uninstalled, log out of the CC Desktop app using Gear / Preferences / Account / Signout, reboot, and then see if LR shows up in the CC Apps list, after you give it a minute or two to contact Adobe’s servers. LR 5.6 is the current version which is probably what the update message is about.

I have a Officejet 8500 A910n. When printing a pdf the print job just stops and will not print.

Only certain files the print job just stops and will not print in Adobe Acrobat X. All other applications work fine.

Have you tried downloading and installing Adobe Acrobat XI? http://www.adobe.com/products/reader.html

That message originates from the printer, not the Mac. Get in touch with HP, perhaps they have an explanation.
