  • JSP pages not displaying images in Jdeveloper

    HI
    I am using lot of images in the JSP page.But the JSP pages are not displaying images in Jdeveloper in Design preview.
    Do I need to install Apache for that?I have not installed Apache yet.
    If so then what are the configuration or settings I have to do in Jdeveloper for Apache.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Apps user

    Which JDeveloper version? where are the images stored? can you share the code you are using to show such an image?
    Try this - create a JSP page and drag an image from your desktop onto the JSP page - this will add the image to your project - does this work?

  • Image in Jdeveloper 3.1

    Hi, i'm a new user of oracle and jdeveloper.
    I must use table with image, but with business component i can't see the column thath old the image. If i add a session info component and i create a new appmoduleinfo, without check the create default business component, then in the query info, of the row set info, i can see the column thath old the image for compose the query, but at run time a receive an error:"DAC-502: ResultSetInfo: ResultSet rowSetInfo1 could not be opened because of problems opening one or more attributes.
    null". If i check the create default business component, when i create a new appmoduleinfo, then i can't see the column that old the image, when i specify the attribute for the view i can see all the columns except the ones that old the image.
    The table had the following columns: Foto
    FOTO ORDSYS.ORDIMAGE
    FIRMA RAW(2000)
    DESCRIZIONE NOT NULL VARCHAR2(50)
    ORDINE NUMBER(3)
    To load the image in the column i use the sql's statements:
    UPDATE immagini SET foto = ORDSYS.ORDImage(ORDSYS.ORDSource(empty_blob(),'file'
    ,'ORDIMGDIR','OU000700.jpg',SYSDATE,0),NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL,NULL)
    WHERE ordine = 0;
    select foto into imma from immagini where ordine=0;
    imma.setProperties;
    update immagini set foto = imma where ordine=0;
    If someone know how it's possible to show the image contain in a database please help me.

  • Image with jdeveloper

    when i use an image it works only by using a full source path.
    Why it doesn't work using simply the filename myimage.gif located in the default package ?
    image = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage "C:\\myimage.gif");
    MediaTracker m = new MediaTracker(this);
    With imageIcon's i can use a class path, but not with with Image-Objects
    ImageIcon myImage = new ImageIcon(theclass.class.getResource "myImage.gif"));
    regards,
    marco

    but when the image is used in a try catch block and not in the package a NullPointerException ..Uncaught error fetching image is generated. Why ?
    MediaTracker m = new MediaTracker(this);
    try{
    Toolkit tool = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
    Image image = tool.getImage(myClass.class.getResource("myImage.gif"));
    m.addImage(image, 0);
    m.waitForAll(); }
    catch(Exception e){}

  • How to view an image at runtime?

    Hi all,
    I am developing a web application using JSP,struts, ADF BC with JDeveloper 10.1.3.
    I have added
    <input type="image" src="../../images/calendr3.gif"/>
    in my Databound table on my JSP page.
    I can see the image at Design time but no image at runtime.
    What should I do to view the image at runtime??
    I have tried
    <input type="image" src="<%=request.getContextPath()%>/images/calendr3.gif"/>
    in this case JDeveloper completely stops functioning. I don't know why? Maybe it's not allowed to have a jsp tag within a databound jsp form???

    Hi,
    did you add the image to JDeveloper (hit the refresh button) so it gets deployed with the application ?
    Also, look at the generated JSP code to see how the image is accessed. I am sure you will find an improperly defined URL

    I tried the wayback machine, but unfortunately, it doesn't cache the SWF files either :( I do have a copy of some (ok one) of Steve's old videos (the one that shows how to do a dropdown list in an editable table, back before it was easy to do), but unfortunately, none of the search ones.

  • View tiff image

    Hi
    I download the sample:Image Controls for long raw,Blob and interMedia Image Content on http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/jdev/files/images/sample.html, this sample work fine, but only work with gif & jpeg images.
    My Database use longraw column and tiff format, and this image no display, but i can save in my hard disk in gif, jpg or jpeg format
    How i can change the sample, for work with tiff images?
    Jdeveloper 3.2.3

    Sorry, the BC4J interMedia control only supports GIF and JPEG. There is no way to display TIFF by using this control.
    The reason is that the control uses Swing ImageIcon class to display images. ImageIcon only supports GIF and JPEG. To display TIFF, the control needs to use Java Advanced Imaging(JAI). You may file a feature request to ask for TIFF support.

  • Where's JDeveloper11g file browsing feature for codes?

    In JDeveloper 11g, whenever I type img src, followed by an equation sign, I expect to see the File Browse link being popped up along with all the files within the directory so I can easily pick the ones I need. Unfortunately, this function does not work, and all I get is "CDATA or ELExpression" being popped up which usually happens when there is no code insight. I am sure the File Browse and easy pick feature did exist before way back in the early versions of 10g. Is this a bug in 11g or it is a step backward by removing that feature although I don't believe there's a sound reason to.

    Hi, I'm afraid I have got this issue since the first clean install. For all 11g versions I have tried on, there is no popup for File Browse, as you can see here:
    http://s8.postimg.org/4wy23u6ut/image.jpg (Jdeveloper 11g)
    On the other hand, when I checked the old 10g version that I have previously, it has that, just like below.
    http://s21.postimg.org/aetyo97mr/image.jpg (JDeveloper 10g)
    For all the above, I am using JSP page. Usually I would create a custom application, and then adding a new JSP. I believe this shouldn't result any peculiarity, as it's almost standard procedure.
    Update: I think I've figured out. I didn't have image files in the directory yet. After I have put some images in the directory, I'm now able to see the File Browse.
    By the way, is JDeveloper 11g short of support for inline CSS parameters?
    For instance, if i type the HTML, [anchor] input style [equals], it doesn't pop up things like 'text-align' etc. I think I noticed this feature when I'm doing a preview of 12c, so can anyone confirm that this doesn't exist in any version of 11g?

  • WS-ReliableMessaging when starting from WSDL

    I'm trying to enable WS-ReliableMessaging for a service for which I started
    from the WSDL. I used to start from the JWS file and so I just added the
    @Policy annotation to enable WS-RM, but now I'm starting from the WSDL
    (using the wsdlc ant task to generate the JWS and interface JWS) and I can
    no longer enable WS-RM. I cannot add a @Policy annotation because then it
    won't compile (because of the interface). I've also tried adding other WS-RM
    (optional) annotations and even embedded the policy directly into the WSDL,
    but no luck.
    Does anyone know how to enable WS-RM when starting from a WSDL under
    WebLogic?
    Thanks.
    Toon

    Hi dvohra21,
    The 3rd party has advice me tha the wsdl is not available on the specified ip:port on which the web service is running. If I make a call to the web service named "fvdbscan" as per your question, i.e., if i put the in a web browser http://192.168.1.4:1063/fvdbscan?wsdl , i get the following:
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
      <SOAP-ENV:Body>
        <SOAP-ENV:Fault>
          <faultcode>SOAP-ENV:Client</faultcode>
          <faultstring>HTTP GET method not implemented</faultstring>
        </SOAP-ENV:Fault>
      </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Further more, as you can see in the atteched image, the "JDeveloper Test Web Service" i.e., the HTTP Analyser, option works fine when a call a funtion in the web servicce.
    However, when I run the client, ( which as you can see has zero code expect for that generated by the JDeveloper wizard), it throws an excception, as showned below.
    Here you can see the WebServiceClient generated by the JDeveloper wizard and you can see the urn it has created which is not valid.
    Thank you for your attention.

  • Buisness Components

    Hello there,
    Im using buisness components to make an application based on a specific table. All's well except for one thing. (I created a module too) There is a long raw column in the table. This is a picture. The app doesnt know this yet. Where can i let it know that it's a picture. (Now it just shows the hex-data it seems) Can anyone still follow me??
    null

    Were you testing the AppModule with the default tester ?
    Currently the tester is not able to show images in the long raw column.
    You can build a java application with Infobus controls which shows the images.
    JDeveloper has an Image Control in the Infoswing components which will be able to render the images from long raw column in the database.
    Note :- The images in the database have to be either jpg of gif format.
    To create a java application create a new project
    choose Application from the type of the project
    and follow the wizards
    In the Application wizard "select a java form based on business components"
    and follow thru the wizards
    After the default form generation , you can drop a image control onto to the panel and associate with the long raw column.

  • Jdeveloper visual editor do not show images and other component shapes

    I used jdeveloper(10.1.3.3.0) to create an ADF BC application, I create a jsf jsp file and drag and drop components from ADF Faces Core to this file visual editor, but jdeveloper visual editor do not show images and other component shapes.
    Could you tell me how I can fix this problem?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Actually, I need to make a dummy change to the jsp file and then it will display boxes representing the objects in the visual editor whereas I get an exception in the log:
    javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: Cannot find FacesContext
    This does not talk much to me !
    Thanks

  • Jdeveloper 10.1.2, UIX , Intermedia , unknown error causes image corruption

    Dear Sirs...
    i wrote an application using jdeveloper 10.1.2, and uix. the database version is 10g release 2.
    i created an intermedia field in the db of type ORDVIDEO.
    the problem as follows:
    i have ONE JPG picture that get corrupted when it is uploaded into the system.
    if i use other picture the problem never happens,
    if i open the picture that gets corrupted in MS Paint and save it again as jpg it will be uploaded correctly.
    if i modify the picture a little or change its dimentions it will be saved correctly.
    just to make sure i created a new web application that only uploads this ordvideo field. and i uploaded the original picture and the problem rises again.
    so i am sure 100% that the problem is not in my program at all.
    Is the problem in the ORDVIDEODOMAIN?
    Is it in the database intermedia?
    i never modified anything at all.
    i think the problem might be related to the db intermedia. can i disable data processing of the intermedia field?
    please if any one know anything about this please post it here. if any one has a similar problem please tell me.
    thanks

    hello there... just to make sure, i reinstalled oracle database 10g standard edition 10.1.2.0.1 on a different computer, created a table like this
    create table t(n number primary key, d ordsys.ordvideo);
    insert into t values (1,null);
    commit;
    now created a uix page with inputform without navigation, and the form property uses upload = true. run the page and selet that same image and the image is corrupted. this means there is a bug in the db.
    can any one solve this please? is there a patch for this? is the problem in the ordvideo domain or in the db itself?
    please help me in this
    if any one from oracle wants to check this please send me email at [email protected] and i will gladly send you the image that causes the problem.
    best regards

  • JDeveloper 11g Using jsp to display images

    I am converting a 10.1.3.3 application to 11.1.1.3
    It has 2 web modules. One is an ADF administrator module and the other is a public web that displays information including images stored as blobs.
    This public module has a simple technology scope, only html, java, jsp and servlets. It is a hand me down from a few technologies ago and ran well on 10.1.3.3
    To display images it uses a jsp acting as a servlet which is referenced inside other jsps. Since moving to 11g the images no longer display. If I use a java class servlet it works
    however I have to use the full url, e.g. http://mydomain:myport/web/Sevlet?.... which means I have to update the details for each deployment.
    I can use <h:graphicImage but this means I have to include JSF and use expression language to fill in the servlet parameters.
    I don't know what has changed to cause it to fail. Weblogic?
    The Libraries and Classpath include
    JSP Runtime
    Servlet Runtime
    JSTL 1.2
    The servlet jsp is as follows remembering it works in 10.1.3.3

    i responded to your duplicate message 4 days ago:
    is it possible to insert and retrieve images from sql server using actionscript.
    you'll need server-side script to query your database and you can use the flash urlloader class to call your script.
    also  is it possible to create a flash scrolling gallery based on images  stored in a database and everytime an image is added it is displayed in  the gallery.
    load the data using the urlloader class and  then load the images.  periodically query the database for new images if  there's no direct way for flash to know a new image was added.
