IMovie HD suddenly does not work right.

I am currently working on an iMovie HD project. All of a sudden, the clip menu is acting strange. Whenever I scroll down, it just stops at the exact same point in the menu every single time. Then it takes forever to scroll back up and I can't scroll any farther down or select clips. Either that, or the program crashes. It's been doing this for about a week and it's really frustrating. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Are you low on hard disc space? If your hard disc is more than 90% full, then your computer may act strangely.

Double escaping suddenly does not work anymore.

We have WCF Data Service that is configured to use
double escaping according to this article

During a long time (a year or more) this solution worked well for us. And suddenly, a week ago, we found that on some our services (in cloud, in out of cloud)
double escaping does not work anymore.
For example, request to our service may looks like
http://service-host/odata-service/ContentTreeNodes('ID-%257BFEE06CEE-F667-45A2-9014-394F4B7CD3B0%257D')/
In sample above we have ID that without double escaping looks like ID-{FEE06CEE-F667-45A2-9014-394F4B7CD3B0}
But when our service processes this request ID becomes like ID-%7BFEE06CEE-F667-45A2-9014-394F4B7CD3B0%7D.
And that is means that .NET (WCF Data Services) infrastructure removes only single escaping and forget (ignore) to remove second one.
We have an assumption that issue probably maybe caused by some Windows security update. Because on some PCs it works well.
Does anybody have similar issues?

I suppose you tried to uninstall this patch from Azure VM. If so then yes, it can not be done. Seems it prohibited by MS or at least I do not have answer how to do it.
At the same time I had no such problems with out of cloud PCs.
BWT, we recently found that we do not require double escaping anymore in our service, because single escaping now works well for us. Looks like MS fixed an issue regarding # symbol in URL path. Now if URL has # in some URL path (for example in entity ID),
then single escaped # works well.

My keyboard does not work right how can i fix it

I have the iphone4 I bought from Verizon about 2 months ago and now my key board will not work right how do I fix this? I have tried to reset factory settings and all of that but it did not work! If I can not fix it my self will Verizon send me a new one ?

That's a very important component of your phone, tiffanymoyle. Let's see what we can do to get your keyboard back up and running correctly. What issues are you encountering with the keyboard? Do certain letters not register when pressed? Does it make a difference if you turn your phone to function in landscape mode?

Microsoft does care about their customers. Microsoft's enthusiasm for Windows 8.1 might have overshadowed their inclination to warn you that not EVERY computer on the planet is able to run Windows 8.1 easily - or, in some cases, at all.
The Envy 2, IF you are talking about the Envy X2 - one of various models, should be able to run Windows 8.1 if some precautions are taken ahead of time.
For example:
Every driver must be updated to Windows 8.1 before you Upgrade
Most user installed programs should be removed
Most user settings should be set back to standard. For example, set a standard background, do not expect your fancy Start Screen settings to survive, back up and strip the stuff from your Desktop.
All connected devices must be removed.
Security software must be removed.
You should not attempt the Upgrade without having the means to get back to where you started. Translation: Make Backups - Make Backups - Make Backups
The following might help you if you want to try again:
Upgrade Windows 8 to Windows 8.1

Mighty Mouse does not work right with my macbook why?

I have a macbook 2.2 ghz intel core 2 duo and i am running 1.5.8 When I connect my mighty mouse to my macbook it seems to work fine. But for some reason I can not use the right click and when I try to scroll up and down using my finger in the middle of the mouse it does nothing. But when I connect the mouse to my new Imac it works just fine. Why is this?

Have you run Software Update since you got the mouse? The system requirements state:

You probably need the Wireless Mouse Software Update in order for the mouse to function properly.

SmartView 11.1.1.3.01 does not work right with Windows 7 64 bit

We have a user running Windows 7 64 bit and Smartview 11.1.1.3.01 that is having a host of issues
1. After initial install SV works as expected
2. If He either shuts his computer down or closes excel and reopens smartview he is not able to save data, nor when doing adhoc query analysis is he able to manually enter dimensions into the cells and click refresh. For example, He will open the connection and ad-hoc query analysis. Drag over the year dimension, enter FY12 in the cell, click refresh and FY12 disappears, he can manually choose it out of the tree and it will stay.
All Windows XP users do not experience this issue
any help would be greatly appreciated

Which version of MS Office are they using?
Did you confirm the plugin was installed using the run as administrator windows command - as there have been issues when not using this caused problems too.
Can you try using the later version plugin: 11.1.1.3.500. Be careful though that you don't hit the following:
Issue: After upgrading from Smart View v11.1.1.3 to Smart View v11.1.1.3.500, the connection screen box is blank in Excel 2007 on Windows 64-bit systems.
Cause: The registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperion Solutions\HyperionSmartView was not updated during the upgrade and contained incorrect information.
Solution
In the registry editor, delete the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hyperion Solutions\HyperionSmartView and run the Smart View v11.1.1.3.500 install.
Note: By deleting this key, you will lose stored information for: Connections, Login, Options, Preferences. These will need to be recreated.

MIDI keyboard suddenly does not work in logic

Well, I bought a new keyboard over the weekend because guitar center was having its sale.
Thing is, I have already tried it out, and it worked. It is connected to my PreSonus firebox, and I cant for the life of me figure out why it isnt working anymore. It turns on, it plays through the keyboard's internal speakers if I turn the volume up, it is connected to my audio interface, and logic plays tracks through it just fine. The only thing is that my keyboard isnt working as a controller. I have checked all the connections, restarted logic multiple times, and turned everything (except my macbook) off and on. Nothing.
So I went ahead and pulled out my old keyboard which I have not attempted to sell yet, and it didnt work either. So either there is something very simple that I am overlooking, or there is a problem with the MIDI cable, or with the jack on my firebox.
Any ideas? I'm hoping that I'm just being stupid...

Ah, it is a MIDI keyboard without an interface, so you send midi to the Presonus, which I think also has MIDI, right? Is there no setup software for the Presonus?
The fact that your Keyboard doesn't have its' own (USB-) midi interface, means that it will not appear in AMS - the Presonus MIDI ports should show up. You can create the keyboard in AMS though, and cable it to the Presonus MIDI. Just click "Add Device" and fill in the correct info.
And trying a different MIDI cable may be a good idea as well.
And check the Presonus for switches that may be in the wrong position.

Phone in iphone 5 suddenly does not work

Help! Suddenly the "phone" on my iPhone 5 doesn't work. Worked two hours ago, but now, just says "searching" when I hit a number in recents. Tried using the keyboard and contacts...nothing. Other iPhone features work: Safari, email, all there...except the phone! Any ideas?

Using another phone, I called my daughter, who works at an AT&T call center. She said the same thing: do the "soft" reboot using the Sleep/Wake button and the home button. Leave it off for 5 minutes, which knocks you off the network. Hit the sleep/wake button and the iphone woke up fresh as a daisy and reconnected to the network and now works great! Thanks for getting me started in the right direction!

When attempting to view the result on my iPad I received a message telling me there is a problem with the format of the movie and that I should discuss with the gallery's owner. After a brief discussion with myself, I decided to re-publish the movie in the "medium" format. It works.
Interesting that the "mobile" format works on my iPhone.

Mini Display Port to Dual Link DVI Does Not Work Right

Somebody said here that this was an isolated problem. Well, I just got my new MacBook Pro 15", used the adapter to hook to the 30" Dell monitor, and it works a few minutes, then the screen distorts.
Count me among the isolated problems- it is beginning not to look isolated.
Now, do I wait on Apple to fix the problem, or do I return the MacBook Pro while still in the return period?

The Matrox Support only told me that the new MacBook Pro with Mini Display Port is not supported, but as it's working for 2x1680x1050 with the Dual-Link DVI adapter, I was wondering if the Mini Display Port to Dual-Link DVI Adapter could be the problem.
I suspect that what Matrox Support meant when they said "not supported" was, in fact, "not supported": i.e., they've tried it and it doesn't work satisfactorily. You've tried it too, and found that to be true. Now you just need to come to terms with the fact. Matrox is quite open about it; it's not a secret. Can't open e-mails/long-time problem/can't delete just does NOT work right and hasn't for some time but today it just keeps loading and loading goes from "done" & I click on an e-mail/starts loading and transferring nothing is working

I have always had trouble with e-mail. I have deleted cookies, etc. Checked connections. opened firewalls/closed firewalls. I have tried to go thru all the suggestions from Yahoo and Foxfire and this is the first time I have done this. E-mails are a real problem. On a system check, it says computer is working and other programs are working, JUST e-mail system.

Garage band suddenly does not work with my apogee jam. What's going on?

Worked fine last week. Hooked it up tonight and I can't get it to recognize the apogee jam. Tuner still works... No sound and monitor light refuses to connect. Very frustrating!!!

Try to reset GarageBand:
Go to the "Settings" app, and scrolll down all the way to GarageBand, enable "Reset".
Does it only happen with one particular GarageBand project, or any project? If it is only one project, delete it and start over with a new project.
If happens with all projects,
restart your device.

PC to Phone connection suddenly does not work

I bought Nokia N86 2 weeks ago, I connected it to by notebook Vista using the USB cable provided. It connected fine, it always has this pop up on the phone like connect it as PC Suite and etc. I could transfer picture from the phone, and also transferred files from PC to the phone.
Yesterday, I tried to do the same thing by connecting the phone to PC using the cable. Nothing happened.
What is the likely problem? What should I do? Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry, I can't help with your specific problem but I'd just like to express how I'm becoming more and more disgruntled with Nokia's phones and software. I have had the same issue this morning and came here looking for a solution. My 3 week old Asha 300 phone was working perfectly yesterday (at least, once I finally got it to see the phone ) with either Bluetooth or USB connection to the PC be it tethered for 3G internet or synchronising and suddenly this morning it doesn't see the phone anymore on either. The computer hasn't been switched off and nothing has changed since i used it yesterday. I had a similar issue with my last phone, a 6275i. One day it'd hook in fine, the next nothing. So much so that I stopped bothering to back it up. And this was on 3 differnt computers with OSs ranging from XP Pro to Win7.
Their connectivity drivers are randomly flakely at best. I think this will be the last Nokia I buy.

Macbook Pro 15 (2012) trackpad scrolling does not work right

The trackpad on my Macbook Pro has been acting up a bit lately, whenever I am scrolling through a webpage, using the two finger gesture, it seems to think I am swiping left or right, to go back or forward pages, instead of just going up and down the page. Is there any way to maybe recalibrate the trackpad or anything? any tips are very appreciated, as I have tried all i can think of up to this point.

From what I understand, your trackpad on you MacBook Pro can be erratic and perform commands that you are not meaning for it to perform. In this situation, I would recommend reading over the attached article to help troubleshoot this situation.
