Import data external system in PCUI SAP CRM install base Object fact sheet

I want to import data from third party system to Object fact sheet of install base. Please let me know the possible way to do so. Do I need to import data in BI and then to Object fact sheet?

Hi Pankaj,
If you have seperate BI server also alongwith the CRM system as back end.Then IU can create two seperate iviews of the two fact sheets hitting different servers e.g.if this is telecom perspective then In one pcui screen you can give two iviews one will fetch data from CRM server and populate 360 degree view of the customer whereas the BI iview will have multiple line level display of the last bills generated which we can see in detail also by hitting the same iview.

  • Serial number in CRM installed base

    How do I insert a serial number in a CRM installed base record?  We will not be downloading this information from ECC so it begins in CRM.  The serial number does not currently reside in SAP but is part of historical data.  Therefore, we need the ability to enter a number in the installed base record that did not previously come from ECC.
    Thanks!

    I have created the set types and attributes and assigned them to the material types FERT and HALB.  But, I am still not clear on where the attributes (serial number) are maintained.  There is only one field in the material master for a product and as we know, there are many serial numbers per product. Where are they maintained?
    I am trying to create an installed base record and record the serial number in the individual objects view.  The problem I have is that if I create 2 IB records and use the same object ID (material number), the system wants to delete it from the first IB record to insert it in the second record.  This is not what I need.
    Questions:
    1) Is the Equipment record (from ECC) created as an individual object using the Product Maintenence functionality?  Each new piece of equipment is a new master data record created by COMMPR01?
    2) If it is not, how would the serial number that is unique to each install base (but not unique across a material number) be recorded?
    Thanks!

  • Forwarded successfully the workitem for BO-BUS2000220(complaint) in the worklist of other user: Problem in "Sent date"  not reflecting correctly in SAP CRM 7.0 Web UI

    I am working with SAP CRM 7.0. We have a workflow in the system which is triggered at the creation of complaint(BO:BUS2000220) and then assign the complaint workitem
    in the woklist of specified agent. I have created a report and scheduled it daily to forward the complaint into the worklist of user B from worklist of user A after 7 days
    from creation date of complaint. But the problem is that the forwarded complaint is showing in the worklist of user B with sent date(the creation date of complaint, not the
    forwarded date).
    Relevant code:
    IF gw_complain-PROCESS_TYPE = 'ZCMS' AND age_complaint = 8.
              CALL FUNCTION 'SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT'
               EXPORTING
    objtype         = 'BUS2000120'
    objkey          = obj_guid_key
    top_level_items = ' '
    SELECTION_STATUS_VARIANT       = 0001
               IMPORTING
    return_code     = return_code
               TABLES
    worklist        = it_worklist[].
    READ TABLE it_worklist INTO wa_worklist WITH KEY wi_type = 'W'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SAP_WAPI_FORWARD_WORKITEM'
                EXPORTING
    workitem_id    = wa_worklist-wi_id
                  USER_ID        = wa_worklist_esc-ESC_USER
    LANGUAGE       = SY-LANGU
    DO_COMMIT      = 'X'
    CURRENT_USER   = wa_worklist_esc-CURRENT_USER
                IMPORTING
    RETURN_CODE    = lv_return_code
                TABLES
    MESSAGE_LINES  = lv_mesg
    * MESSAGE_STRUCT =
    * USER_IDS       =
    ENDIF.
    Can someone help me how to change the sent date to actual forwarded date of complaint.

    Hi Kavita,
    There is a standard column in UWL with name 'Sent Date'. Other functionalities in UWL for example deadline monitoring (Due date column) are based on this sent date. This shows an employee what was the date workitem was created (sent date) and when it will get escalated (due date). Displaying forwarding date in Sent date will not give clear picture to employee as the deadline will be calculated based on sent date only not based on forwarding date. this was just an example.
    even though if your client is insisting, i dont think it can be done without any enhancement in UWL web dynpro com sort of thing. you can check with your portal consultant too.

  • Importance of Bounce management functionality in SAP CRM

    Hi All,
    I want to discuss few interesting issues which I have come a cross while doing a setting for bounce management functionality in SAP CRM 7.0
    Before sharing my experience I want to discuss some term related to Bounce email than will discuss about types of bounce emails and cause of the bounce email.The setting of bounce functionality is describing in below link .
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm700_ehp01/helpdata/en/46/3f509215835fa7e10000000a1553f7/content.htm
    In general when a website visitor sigh up they receive email from the company site, the information the site collected saved in the database but It commonly happen some of your email will be undeliever. In marketing term we say it as 'Bounce'. this is the same way happen as when a person give a bank cheque to bank and don't have sufficient money to his/her account the bank people say the cheque got bounce ..
    As we are aware emails are bounce for variety of reason such as.
         - In case the recipient email address is invalid.
         - recipient email address is inactive or closed
         - recipient mailbox is full or mail server have some technical issue etc
    In general all these bounces emails categorize in two category.
    Hard bounce- When email address is not active. example wrong email address, email address de-activated, deleted,or closed
    Soft bounce-  recipient mailbox is full, mail server have some technical issue, Out_of_office is setup .
    Now finally we come to know about the cause of bounce email and types. Now the question arises why this is so important when we have bounce management functionality active in sap crm marketing ? as described in above url.
    suppose that there is a campaigning happening for an product where 3000 person visited it. Now incase 2000 visitors shown interest so have qualified as prospect bases on the information they have provided such as name, address, salary or employment detail.
    After successfully execution of campaign now senior executives create a mailing list for all the prospects in the target group of campaign and sends email to all the users.Now if I say to how many customers really company have reached reached after campaign execution answer will be we can not have the correct fact and figure as there could be some bounce happened.
    Now incase bounce management setting is configure in your CRM system than system will receive inbound e-mails for each bounce.Suppose we have received one thousand bounce emails than we would say actual customer contacted is 1000. this is the correct fact and figure and very much useful for marketing people.
    After than executive could remove email address which were hard bounced and for soft bounce they can use some other channel to contact like telephone calls etc to reach them.
    The correct facts and figures are very much important for marketing strategy and planning and also to know success level of each campaign. Assume a scnario where in day a company launches more than 5 campaign. I feel the importace is transparent now.
    I hope you would find some interest in above blog.
    Thanks

  • Options for loading data from legacy mainframe to SAP CRM and ECC

    Hello All,
    I am new to SAP.
    As part of data conversion planning from legacy mainframe to SAP CRM and ECC systems, I need to know the different tools available for loading the data and comparative analysis of the tools by showing the features. Please also describe the process to evaluate the tools (prototyping, technical discussions etc) and make the recommendations.
    I would also appreciate any information on testing tools like (eCATT) and any third party tools (like Informatica)
    I know I am asking for lot of things here. But, I really appreciate any information reagrding this.
    Thanks,

    Hi
    Data Migration(Conversions) mainly involves the following Major Steps
    Discovery->Extract->Cleanse->Transform->Load
    Discovery-> Involves identifying various source systems available where the actual data is residing.
    Extract->Extract the data from the source systems(legacy systems)
    Cleanse->Cleanse the data by enriching it,De-duplications etc
    Transform->Transform the data into SAP Loadable format
    Load->Upload the data into SAP Using the Load Programs(Eg,BDC,LSMW,Data Transfer Workbench,BAPIs etc)

  • Connect two ECC systems with one SAP CRM 7.0

    Hi Gurus!
    I have to do a customizing for connect two ECC 6.0 and one SAP CRM 7.0, only I need the organizational structure from both systems and they need update when the structure from CRM has changes. The business partner goes to ECCs system by PI interfaces.
    Both organization models are different, so I have to maintain and update depending the changes in the business.
    But I don't know if this is possible, I don't know if we can do this by Middleware, ALE or PI.
    Can you please, give your oppinion about this topic?

  • Accessing SAP CRM 7.0 objects

    Hi All,
    After doing lot of research on SAP CRM 7.0 documentation, I got to know that there are different ways to access data from the system:
    1) Using BAPIs
    2) Using RFCs
    3) Using SAP XI
    4) Using Web Services (Enterprise services?)
    I am interested in going with the Web Services option.
    I have read in the documentation that Enterprise Service Repository is part of SAP NetWeaver Platform.
    We are planning to register for SAP RAC service to get access to SAP CRM 7.0.
    If we have access to just SAP CRM 7.0, will I be able to access the web services.
    Can someone please help me understand this.
    Thanks
    Naga
    P.S I am very very new to SAP CRM. Please bear with my questions.

    Hi Isaac,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I read the documentation[1] which says that there are 235 enterprise services built for 35 business objects.
    That said, the wsdl will be already published for all those default web services I believe.
    Can't I just consume the default web services and read the data from SAP CRM 7.0?
    As SAP CRM is dependent on SAP NetWeaver, can I assume that I will have access to all the Out of the Box web services if I have SAP CRM 7.0 installation.
    Thanks
    Naga

  • How to extract CRM Install Base's serial # to BW?

    Hello Gurus,
       I'm working on CRM services area. Now the questions is I have a requirement to extract Install Base's equipment serial number to BW. In a service order I can get Component number. With that component number I can go to IB53 tcode and check the serial #. But my question is how can I extract that # to BW side.
    Is there any FM which return Serial#, Equipment location. etc when I pass component #?? So, that I can enhance with this field to service order header datasource.
    Or else are there any other ways to solve this?
    Thanks in adv
    RKR

    HI,
    I used this DataSource to get IBase detials. 0CRM_SRV_IBASE_TRAN. But this DataSource doesn't have any DSO. So, I created a custom DSO on this DataSource.
    This data source doesn't return equipment serial #, location, etc... To get those we need to enhaced the data source.
    Let me know if you have any questions regrding this...
    Thanks

  • CRM Installed base Partner assignment main partner

    Hi,
    Sorry about the maybe stupid question but:
    We have on our installed bases component a field with partner assignment. In here we have preferred engineers there normaly should be only one on the installed base, but now we face that there are more then one preferred enigneer is there.
    then that shouldn't be a problem if the right preferred engineer has the main partner function. the system gets this from table: COM_DYNP_PARTNER_UI and the organization model.
    but it assigns the wrong preferred engineer as main partner.
    Anyone has an idea what I could do?
    Kind regards,
    Remon van Harmelen

    hi Vijay,
    Open the Business partner in Role Employee (Tx. - BP).
    Goto the Identification tab.
    Specify a Username for the user.
    Thanks,

  • CRM Installed base

    Hi everyone
    In Installed base we can create a hierarchy of components. But in a Service Quotation, when we use an Installed base, the sub-components under that component are not seen in the Objects tab of Transaction data.
    Can anyone plz offer me any fast help regarding this matter? It's urgent.
    Thanks and regards
    Debolina

    Hi Debolina,
    If you want to do it programatically then you can do it by passing all the components of an IBASE to the table OBJECTS in the BAPI BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI.
    You will be able to see all the components in the order.
    I don't think there is any way in which you can set it online.

    thanks
    sandeep dabral

    Hi Sandeep,
    You require a abap guy along with a basis person. Below steps are required.
    Step 1: The third party ll specify the file format in which they are going to send the data.
    Step 2. You need to check with the basis or a third tool to upload the file into SAP application directory tcode al11.
    step 3: Then the ABAP guy will write a interface program using this BAPIs to upload the data in to catsdb.
    Step 4. Then functional testing and bug fixing and finially sheduling the inteface job in Production.

  • Access to EHS data from system outside of SAP

    We are creating a Formulation tool in a SQL database with a Access front end which will need to use EHS Specification data and eventually push the Formulation data back into the SAP EHS Spec database.
    I would like this new database to have Real-Time access to SAP data. We currently are using RFC connections with tools such as EASY-Expert and a external Rules based program Atrion as well, so I know it is possible to feed this data back and forth using XML files.
    Any advice on how I should proceed and maybe some external tools for purchase that will help me do this.

    Hi Beverly,
    it is possible to access EH&S data from outside SAP by using the standard SAP BAPIs (e.g. BAPI_BUS1077_GETDETAIL for reading EH&S data) which are RFC enabled. Another possibility would be to develop your own RFC enabled function modules in the SAP system and call them from outside.
    From your access database you can use VBA to perform the RFC call.
    Best regards,
    Andreas
