Import duty to be added to material price

Hi!
I have one specific client's requirement ( not indian client), when import goods, they have to pay import duty and VAT :
Import duty on Basic material price, VAT on Basic material price + Import duty.
I have defined one condition type for import duty and added in tax procedure and account key also assigned in order to capture the import duty in seperate GL account.
But I don't have idea how we can add this import duty to material price i.e client is asking while posting goods receipt it has to be added, of course it is not possible.
I have tried with MM pricing procedure by giving one condition for import duty and manually they can insert import duty once they knew the import duty to be paid, then they can post GR and invoice. ( of course we cannot use both MM pricing condition approach and Tax procedure condition type)
but we want to avoid manual updation of duty tax.
Can any one suggest me alternative method.

Hi,
Check your import duty condition type - condition type category should be B.

  • Value from condition types not to be added to material price

    Hi friends,
I have a Pricing procedure for Cross company stock transfers.
Supplying plant put some margin on the material price and will supply it.
Now My question is how to avoid the value of the margin getting inventorized(adding to the material price) in the receiving plant
As iam using Std price for this FERT material in the receiving plant , it is trying to inventorize.
I have assigned an Account key and accrual key , for this margin condition type in my pricing procedure.
    many thanks

    Dear
Vendor is local. We are using LOCAL PRICING PROCEDURE(IN WHICH THERE IS NO ADDL DUTY COND TYPE)
The problem is we need to capture the 4% addl duty paid by our vendor while importing
Purpose is passing over this benifit to our customer through DEPO SALES PROCESS
Question is how to capture condition type ( 4% addl duty) in our LOCAL PRICING PROCEDURE. SO that we can pass on to our customer

  • Import Duty added to costing run CK40n

    Hi all,
We are looking to have the system automatically add the import duty on materials imported from outside of China into China during the SAP costing run. Was lookign at using CK74 additive option to set this up in the costing run or maybe somewhere in MM-PUR?. Has any one done this before or have any information on how to set this up please?
    Cheers

    Hi sree-
You can use x-plant material status indicator during costing run. you can set up all the parts that are active with an indicator and use this indicator during cost run. you will find this indicator in dynamic selections.
    Hope this helps...

  • Cost is not a part of PO, but to be added in material, how?

    Dear all,
Cost which is not a part of PO but to be added in material, how that can be done... is it through statistical condition types, kindly explain how this can be done?
    regards,
    Archu

    Dear Archana,
    Your question is not clear,
But I think if the cost is like Freight or Duty or any other thing like that, then in pricing procedure you can add a condition type with condition category "Delivery cost" then while doing GR for that PO, automatically system posts that amount to the material i.e. that amount is included in the material.
    For Example,
    Material Price   -  100 Rs,
    Freight              -  10 Rs
then Upon Goods receipt MAP will be updated with (100+10) i.e. 110 Rs.

  • Import multiple info records for 1 material item in repository

    Hi Guys,
I have got sort of a puzzle I can not solve at the moment, maybe some one can help me to solve it. The situation in our system landscape is as follows:
    Systems:
    SRM 5.0 (Classic implementation scenario)
    ECC 6.0
    SRM-MDM 2.0
    PI 2005
Material master is maintained in R/3 and the materials are replicated to SRM. From SRM we replicate all materials to the catalog repository in SRM-MDM.
As the material master in R/3 is vendor independent, the materials replicated to SRM also have no vendor attached. For the first initial material replication from SRM to the catalog SRM-MDM this also means that the products in the main table of the repository, u2018catalog positionsu2019, will not have a vendor or vendor number attached (i.e. no reference to a source of supply).
To assign a source of supply in the repository to a product (record) we will use info records which are replicated from R/3 to SRM-MDM. The mapping for this in the Import Manager can only be based on the product number. As this is the only unique value available which can map a info record to a already existing (but vendor less) ptoduct item in the catalog.
As long as every item in the repository has only one unique info record, meaning one source of supply with a specific price, there is no issue in the above scenario. Based on the product-id, the info record data will be matched with the material item in the catalog.
The issue for me arises when multiple info records exists for the same material. The info records can heave different vendors and different prices. All possible vendors should be available in the catalog for the same material (at least this is the requirement ).
At this point the product-id will no longer be an unique value. Importing the info records will cause problems, as only one material record is available in the repository for the specific product-id (remember that when doing a initial replication of the material master to the catalog, no vendor data is replicated).
Does anyone had this issue before, and knows a solution? Is it for example possible during the import of the info records in the Import manager, to duplicate material records in the destination data, based on the number of info records available in the source data for the same product-id. Or is there an other solution that I am missing?
    Your help would be appreciated!
    Regards,
    Skander

    Hi Shai & Ravi,
Thanks for your answers. The MDM version which we are using is 5.5 - currently on SP6
@ Shai: you are right; the standard SRM-MDM 2.0 catalog repository has a qualified lookup table u2018priceu2019, in which itu2019s possible to store the info record data. The standard fields in this sub-table are: Purchase Org, Amount, Currency Lower B, PIR-ID, price based quantity and Price based quantity UoM.
I added some extra fields (non qualified), to accompany the remaining info record data (product no. u2013 vendor id  u2013 product category)  which is exported/imported, via the standard extraction program in R/3: Tcode MECCM
I tried the solution Ravi proposed. This scenario works fine when, for example you want to maintain multiple info records for one specific material record in the main table (all info records related to the same source of supply, i.e. vendor). But as I described, the info records we import for one product can have different vendors.
The source of supply (vendor) in the shopping cart of SRM is determined via the u2018supplieru2019 field in the main repository table (which is in itself a flat lookup table ). What happens now is that all related info records are added to the u2018price informationu2019 field of the specific product record in the main table. Thus info records which have different suppliers are attached to a record in the main table which will have one specific supplier in the u2018supplieru2019 field. So from my point of view this will not work.
I am still stuck with the situation that the material master import will only import one record for every distinct product, which can have multiple info records. The info records can/will have different vendors. As the supplier field in the main table determines the source of supply in the shopping cartu2026. Iu2019am seeking for a solution which will duplicate the material records in the main table, based on the amount of imported info records for that specific material record, that have distinct vendors.
Shai, if you have some useful info on how you accomplished this requirement on a previous version of SRM-MDM, it would be greatly appreciated if you can share it..
    Thx.

  • How to include Freight charges and unloading charges in Material price.

    Hi All,
Can you pls. advice how we can include freight charges & unloading charges in Material price (MAP) when receive in system.
    Current Situation :
We buy Switchgears from vendor, which transported with special vehicle arrangement from different service provider and gets unloaded at warehouse by another service provider. Currently business create seperate PO for Material vendor, Freight Vendor and for unloading service provider. But MAP is only updated with Material cost only. How can I include delivery cost and unloading cost in MAP thro standard SAP process.
Your solution will help business heaps.
    Regards,

    Hi,
Create three condition types namely basic material price, freight charges & unloading charges.
For  basic material price , you can copy PB00 and rename your basic material price condition type. Now freight charges & unloading charges condition type in M/06 , do not maintain condition category ( keep it blank ), so that it will added to inventory cost .For freight charges & unloading charges do not maintain account key & accrual key in Pricing procedure.
Cretae PO , now you will see all cost added to NET price in PO and you can for doing GR where all cost are inventoried as materisl cost.

  • Basic customs and  Scess on BCD being added in material cost

    Hi Friends,
I have prepared a import order and a stk trpt po. I want to take receipt first in (A) plant and subsequently with stk po I will receive in B plant as I want to pay the duties only at the time of actual receive in my mfg plant. My stk po is having duties as CVDs and BCD cond types. When I do vl10d and vl02n for the outbound delivery , FI document craeted following entries for Eg. ->
    Bus. Area_ Acc. Description   Amount_
    2910(A)      HR Imported        100.00
    2110(B)      HR Imported        200.00
    2110          cvd cLEARING      50.00
    2110          CUSTOM CESS    40.00
    2110         CUSTOM SCESS   10.00
Here HR imported for B.Area 2110 should be posted as 1004010=150 on the material cost instead of 200.00. As CVD amount will get availed.
So I donot want this cost (CVD) to be added in material cost.
    Kindly suggest its configuration.

  • Need to load import duty / taxes onto inventory

    Hi SAP Gurus
Need your help in one issue related to loading import duty / taxes onto inventory.
Scenario is, Corpoprate office is procuring the doing import for J&K plant.
PO has been raised by corporate office for asset & raw material. Commercial invoice has been posted for Customs 10 %, Customs Edu.Cess- 2 %, Custom Se Edu.Cess- 1 %, IN CVD 14 %, Edu.Cess- 2 %, Sec Edu.Cess- 1 %, IT Duty - 4  %. Material has been delivered at J&K plant. GRN has been done at J&K plant and excise duty has been capture but not posted yet. Invoice verification is also not done for vendor.
Now the requirement is, if we post excise using J1IEX_P for part 2 entry, the posting will happen to CEN SEC EDU CESS CR., CVD/CENVAT CREDIT, CENVAT EDU CESS CR., CVD/CENVAT  CLG., CENVAT CREDIT ON HLD accounts. But for J&K plant we want the duty values to be inventorised as we canu2019t take cenvat credit for J&K plant. Also the material has been consumed i.e. stock is also not available.
How can we post the duty values to inventory in above case?
    Looking for your valuable suggestions.
    Thanks & regards'
    Manoj Gupta

    MANOJ
you go to j1iex select A02 Change
then select the vendor invoice no then go to item detail data, item select N non cenvatable and and save and go to j1iex A04 Post.
system will post ( it reverse the part1 entries) and it will give you the staus when u post.
    This for this time
and for next time you create a seperate pricing procedure for JK plant if vendors are different for JK plant other wise if vendors are common to other plants
then create separate nondeductable conditon types for CVD Ecess on cvd and secess on cvd and addl duty copying the same condition types and assigning account key (with nondedudtable ticked) in pricing procedure.

  • Error 06206: Effective price lower than material price (variance 30.00 %)

    Hello Experts,
I've maintained the tolerance limit as 30% for my company code and tolerance key 'PE'.
Even though I try to create a Purchase Order with the same effective price as the material price (no variance), still it gives me the following error:
"Effective price lower than material price (variance > 30.00 %) Message no. 06206"
However, I get this error only for Import vendors and not for Domestic vendors.
I'm using same currency (INR) in Purchase Order for Import vendor as for Domestic vendor.
I've debugged the code to find where exactly and why it throws that error but have been unsuccessful. When I reach METHOD pbo_finished, deep structure my_pushed_message already has the error message ID 06 and number 206 stored in it.
    Seeking Experts' help!
    BR//
    Anish

since you are getting effective price lower than material price, your PO appears to be at a lower value. This may be since the total is not carried to the appropriate field. pl check whether Subtotal column is having S entry
if its an error, in attributes of system messages change to warning

  • Reversal on Import Duty Provision posted thru MIGO

    Hi All,
I have a issue on reversal of Import Duty provision..when GR is done for Imports the Import Duty Provision is posted to GL..there are some old provisions in this GL which needs to be reversed because there is no requirement of these provisions in the books..
For these GR's already MIRO has been done, payments to vendors are also been done and also materials has been consumed..therefore we are not in a position to reverse Material documents..
Now the issue is how to reverse these provisions? Is there any T Code for reversing automatically/manually these provisions..
Appreciate quick response on this since it is an Audit issue..
    Thanks in advance.

Dear Rupa, following three things can be used for any additional values with the base purchase amount. And what to use when, depends as per your client's business process , I'm writing the same as well -
    1. Tax (this can be simple or complex tax codes in line items) -> this is used when the vendor's hard-copy / document contains the corresponding taxes and can be entered at the time entering the document in to your client's SAP B1.
    2. Freight -> This is used for any other additional costs besides the tax. And this can be entered if the additional cost is know at the time of the document entry and the concerned document from the vendor contains the same.
    3. Landed Cost -> This is used for any other additional costs, and these costs are not known at the time of document entry or the respective costs can't be shown into the concerned purchase document.
Hence best of luck for a perfect settings around this ... and if need more help of tax setup then you may refer to the following videos -

  • Add addition import duty cost to materials  for costing run

    Hi All,
Whats the best solution to add the additional cost of import duty on materials imported into China?
Is adding an additive cost (CK74N) possible and the best solution? This way it will be picked up automatically in costing run?
    Cheers
    Tony

Thanks Jeyakanthan. Can you give me more details though?
Are you saying to configure the additive cost? Assign it to the materials in question and then run the costing run?
