Import from HV20 results in date/stamp stamp off by one day

When I import media or create archive from my Canon HV20 tape camera, the date/time is exactly one day prior to the taken date. The camera shows the correct date in its viewfinder. Does anyone know how to get the correct date/time stamp?

Yes
The safest way to write a date range comparison would be as below
WHERE DateField >= @StartDate
AND DateField < DATEADD(dd,1,@EndDate)
If you want results with @EndDate inclusive

  • Imports off by one day in cal

When imported a shared calendar, all events appear off by one day in my ical. Do you know how to fix this?
    Thanks!

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
    Envelope Index
    ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Typically, the process takes a few minutes, but it may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In that case, you may be able to speed things up by temporarily adding your home folder to the Privacy list in the Spotlight preference pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

  • Using IMPORT from Database to fetch data from CLuster

    Hi,
I am using IMPORT From Databse to ge the data from a Cluster DB.
    IMPORT i_postings_old
            FROM DATABASE y0fsgr001(xx)
            ID l_sgr_memory_id.
whats is happening is there is not data in  I_postings_old but there is data for the ID = l_sgr_memory_id.
    in table y0fsgr001.
What might be the reason for this behaviour?
    Thanks
    Nishant

When doing the corresponding EXPORT TO DATABASE (in case you are doing it) Are you using the same variable name i_postings_old ?
Sometimes I faced this issue and in most cases it was due to the use of different variable names, maybe that's your case too.
    IMPORT i_postings_old

  • TS2755 iPhone 5 on ios7 doesn't receive messages from other iPhones when data is turned off

My iPhone 5 doesn't receive iMessages or texts from other iPhones when my data is turned off, obviously I do not expect to receive iMessages but I also cannot receive text messages. Text messages can be sent but not received. Text messaging to and from people with androids and blackberries is fine.

That is because iPhone users would be sending you iMessages. The only time you would receive them as a text is if they have theirs turned off, or it is set to send an SMS if iMessage fails. At some point you had iMessages activated, and if so, that is how the iDevices will send to you.

  • Ultra slow imports?  This just started seemingly out of nowhere.  One day it works perfect and now it is so slow it is not useable. Tried different card reader with sam results.

One day importing works great and now it is not even useable its so slow...what happened?  Any ideas?  I tried a different card reader...same results.  Tried different card...same results

Ouch, tough spot, but offhand I'd say some memory may have gone bad, or maybe just needs re-seating after all this time.
Not much you can do, but try this anyway...
    PRAM reset, CMD+Option+p+r...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
In fact, do 3 in a row, takes a bit of time.

  • Date range parameters are off by one day

I have a Start Date and End Date parameter in my SSRS report.  The results are off by 1 day.  For example if I enter 4/2/2015 and 4/20/2015 it will return a few results from 4/1/2015 to 4/19/2015.  I think maybe it's a problem with my date
conversion in T-SQL, but thought someone more experienced than me would have seen this before.
    Thanks

  • Importing old pictures with wrong date stamp. After adjusting date they are landing in the correct folder of referenced masters.

I was thrilled to learn that with Aperture I could have one big library and using referenced masters, I can organize the pictures by date so I know where everything is and can backup to the cloud.  I started importing really old photos that were taken with god knows what camera and the date is wrong.  Since I had all these in date structured folders I could make a best guess on the date - not needing it to be exact, just so it shows up close enough in projects and the original lands in the right folder for future use & backup. I have come to learn that changing the metadata is only referring to how Aperture sees it.  In other words, images that were taken on 10/31/04 are still landing in the referenced masters folder on the date the camera said.  I now understand that the metadata date is not the date Aperture needs fixed.  Is the best way to fix this to delete the images from Aperture, find some tool that will adjust to the approximate real date, then reimport.  If so, can someone recommend a utility that does this? If I can fix this inside of Aperture, even better.  I saw on one of the discussions: "it's all about the Exif and IPTC and not about the file metatata."  Please feel free to learn me on that.  Cheers.

That answers some of it - the relocate files.  That will allow me to put the files in the right year/month folder.  I imported full folders into Aperture so need to edit the metadata date for multiple pictures at the same time.  I understand when you select multiple pictures and then ajust time, it adjusts in relation to the first picture.  In my case these things were taken by all sorts of crappy cameras & re-edited years later (2003 data).  So pictures taken on the same day have 2001, 2003 & 2007 dates. I really do just wnt to set all of them to the same (ballpark) date.
    So my goals are:
    1) have the pictures land in the right referenced folder - answered
    2) do a mass adjust time to the same date for a folder of images
    3) have the projects then land chronologically inside Aperture - not sure about this one yet
Thanks for your help, it's very much appreciated.

  • Importing from iPad result in timeout

I am returning from my first vacation with my iPad, my camera connection kit and my Nikon D90.
After each day, I imported (can we say uploaded?) my pics onto the iPad. This was fun to view with my familly.
Now back at home, I can not cleanly import my 1,200 or so pics from vacation.
Aperture starts importing, but then stalls, timesout into some endless loop.
Aperture still responds and I can do all that I want to do except that the Importing activity "wheel" (monitor) spins and spins but Aperture does not import my pics beyond the 75th or so picture.
I force AP to quit, rebuild my DB and tried again.
    Same result.
Using iPad OS 3.2.1 with AP3 3.0.3 with Snow Leopard 10.6.4.
    Any ideas?

OK. Here's what I have learned about alternatives. There is an iPad app that looks somewhat promising for getting photos on/off the device, but rather than muck about with a paid app on speculation that it will do what I need, I found a different scheme.
My having asked the question about a possible Linux solution prompted me to fire up my Ubuntu (current version) virtual machine and attach my iPad to it. There, I had the ability to mount my Home Directory on the iPad onto my Linux VM.
From there, I was able to find the directories under my ~/DCIM directory that hold the *.NEF, *.JPG, *.MOV, etc. files. Each of these appears to contain a single session of importing into Photos on the iPad. As I had done the import at the end of each day, I have a directory containing the files for each day. (Actually, there appears to be some other force at work here, as my last day was split over two directories. Maybe that day had more images than iPad wants to put into a single directory.)
I went into each such directory in turn, and using "tar -czvf", created a compressed tar file (containing file datestamp information) onto a directory on my Mac which was also mounted on the Linux VM. Once the tgz files were on the Mac, it was a simple matter to use "tar -xvf" to extract each into its own directory, clean out the *.XMP files (which appear to be indications that the matching image should be rotated to a different orientation, and which are probably meaningless to Aperture when importing files as I am forced to do using this method), and import the files into Aperture.
All of the rigamarole took far less time to handle 4 days worth of photos than the normal way took to do a single day. Plus, while Aperture grinds through a days worth of photos, I can go do something else; I don't have to baby-sit it a few images at a time.
I'll continue to follow this discussion, if any. Also, I hope that things get fixed sometime soon. In the mean time, I have my baroque workaround. I will not mark the question as "solved", though, as it is not reasonable to assume that everyone trying to use the iPad as an intermediary between camera and Aperture will have a Linux system.
Another thing of note -- I mentioned that the tar operation retained the datestamp information. While this doesn't seem to be of any importance for JPG or NEF files, as Aperture uses the internal date information, it is crucial for the MOV files. I assume that MOV files have no internal date information, at least none that Aperture knows how to access or none that my Nikon applies. In the absence of such internal date information, Aperture uses the creation date on the file itself. There appears to be no way to override the date on those MOV files once they have been imported. Furthermore, the timezone settings on import appear to be insufficient to get the MOV files in the proper date order; they still come in with whatever creation date they have and assume the current timezone. So, I had to do some scripting to add six hours to the datestamp information on each MOV file before starting Aperture to do the import. Because Aperture appears to use the Creation date, SetFile had to be used instead of "touch".
Anyway, I wouldn't go so far as to say that I am happy, and would definitely not recommend anyone buy the iPad Camera Connection Kit unless they never planned to get the photos back out or were uber-geeks.
Thanks to anyone who stayed with me through all this. I hope someone passes the information along to the iPad and/or Aperture team(s) and lights a fire under them.
    Ron.

  • Import from backup-lost creation date

Help! I had to wipe my hard drive . . .reinstalled Iphoto. When importing photos back into Iphoto, there are no long any original creation date, just the dates of the backup, and the new import.
I know that I can batch change to the original creation dates (after looking up the original dates), but I have thousands of files. Is this a fixable bug? Any help will be really appreciated! Thanks . . .

    peabodyonline:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. There's an application, PhotoInfo, that can batch change folders of files. However, all of the files will have the same date with a user added delta time added. The downside to this is that iPhoto won't recognize the change unless those files are imported into iPhoto after the edit. Well, not exactly right. There's Joe's iPhoto Date Applescripts and one may read the date in the file, after changing with PhotoInof, and write to iPhoto's database file so they are recognized in iPhoto. Check out the scripts here: http://www.joemaller.com/iphoto/iphoto_scripting.html
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application, iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • IMovie import from handycam results in juddering - but only on one clip!

I have one clip on my Sony HDR-SR5 which iMovie 8 doesn't seem to be able to import cleanly.
This one clip appears to import with no issues but when I play it back in iMovie the image judders. The sound is absolutely fine and the original movie on the camera plays perfectly. The imported iMovie event makes everyone in the film look like they have palsy.
There are some other clips on the camera too which cause iMovie to crash as soon as it tries to import them, but that's a separate matter. I have successfully imported about 30 other clips from the camera so far, some of which are from either side of these rogue clips. They are all HD clips and all were taken using the same settings.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might happen, and what I can do to get around it?

Mmmm, doesn't it just do your head in when you want something to go wrong and it doesn't.
I took my camera out to the garden and took some quite violent panning shots to test in various workflows. Back at my mac I connected the camera and opened imovie, played the clip in preview in the import window - no judder - a little ghosting but that's to be expected.
Imported at best quality and played this back in imovie, again- no judder - a little ghosting but that's to be expected, was really quite surprised I didn't have judder and a little disappointed since my intention was to import the clip in parallels using the sony supplied software and see if I could see a difference.
I exported the movie at the large setting- no judder. Mmmm
Not deterred I continued the test, imported using the sony software (gee, it just reminds me why I use a mac) and exported to mpeg2, which is the only option available. The first thing I noticed was the interlacing which no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of, strange but of no worry since this isn't what I was testing for, but the video did judder.
Exactly what conclusion I can draw from this I really don't know, but if sony software gives us these issues as it seems to do, I guess we can't point too many fingers at imovie.

  • Importing from LiveType results in Unknown File error

Title says it all; I've tried re-installing from the original disc, and made sure that LiveType was selected to be installed. Any ideas?

I dragged in the MP4 files, and clicked Sequence > Render Selection> Both.
I think this is more of an installation error, like some package didn't get installed. When it was first installed, it kept on crashing because the ProFX framework wasn't installed. I had to dig inside the installer packages, found the package that installed ProFX, opened it up, manually extracted the files from the .tar.gz archive, and put them in place. Then it worked. I think this issue is of a similar nature.

  • Tagged date off by one day since 2010

I was tagging a TV show I recorded and put it into iTunes only to have it show 1 day earlier than what I tagged it. I used meta-X, so I thought there might be a bug there, but a dump using AtomicParsley shows the correct date:
    Atom "©day" contains: 2010-01-16T00:00:00Z
But in iTunes this shows as 1/15/10
So either iTunes is wrong (or doing some kind of wierd timezone adjustment that is wasn't doing prior to 1/1/2010) or AtomicParsley is wrong.
    Anybody else seeing this?

  • Anyone ever see 5Gb of data usage take place in one day?

I have never used more than 2Gb in an entire month, then suddenly yesterday I get a text message from Verizon that I used almost 5Gb - in one morning!  I wasn't even using my iPhone for anything unusual, and most of the day I was in my office connected to wifi with the phone in my purse. Thoughts?
Nothing in my settings yesterday was any different than any other day. I use iCloud backup, but only on wifi. There were apps running in the background, but that is always the case. I don't stream music, movies, or games. 5Gb is a lot!
I should add - I did pre-order an iPhone 6 yesterday morning. Can't help but think that could have something to do with this...

  • Removing date stamp from photos

Some of my old photos were imported into iphoto with a date stamp from the camera/ Is there any way to remove this before I print them?? I have iphoto v 7.1.5 THANKS!

1 - it is good to go through the iPhoto Tutorials - http://www.apple.com/findouthow/photos/#retouch
2 - after you take the tutorials just play with it - Command-z will go back one edit - photos menu ==> revert to original will remove all edits and "revert to the original"

    Hi Experts,
I am new to Xcelsius, i am trying to import data from Business Objects Enterprise, but in my Xcelsius 2008 Designer, the 'Import from Enterprise' option under Data Tab is in disable mode. Could any one please explain the reason why it is in disable mode and how to resolve to this error.
    Thanks & Regards

My understanding is that the 30 day evaluation version is Engage version of the product. I tried a search but could not find an Enterprise Eval version. Can you provide the link to where you are downloading it.
If it is Engage it will not have the BO Enterprise import or the Export to enterprise options available. If you contact BO they should be able to give you a evaluation key for the full product.
    Regards
