Import the AD groups like privileges in the Identity Center.

Hi All.
Does any of you have some job steps or how to perform a task in order to import the Active Directory Groups like privileges in the identity center? ... I'm a few lost with this.
Something like the Initial Load job performed for the SAP connector where the roles and privileges are imported like privs in the IC.
Regards from México, Thanks
Andrés.

Hi
There is also an Initial Load job for ActiveDirectory which does the same.
See here: Job Wizard -> Identity Center\Templates\Identity Center\Jobs\SAP NetWeaver\LDAP ADS Initial Load

  • Everytime I open iphoto, my computer tells me A photo has been found in the iPhoto Library that was not imported.  Would you like to import it.  no matter what I do, iphoto puts the pic in recovered files.  How do I fix this?

Everytime I open iphoto, my computer tells me,  A photo has been found in the iPhoto Library that was not imported.  Would you like to import it.  If I import it, a message comes up Unreadable file, the following file could not be imported. them it tells me where the file is and it cannot be opened.  If I do not import, then it says,The photo has been placed in the folder /Users/patrick*******/Pictures/iPhoto Library Recovered Photos_4.  It will just keep adding to recvovered photos.  This drives me crazy!!!!!!!  How do I fix this?

I had this problem some months ago and the following solution from Terrence Delvin put things right:
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. *Make no other changes*.
    Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder.
However, since connecting a memory stick to my computer, I now have the same problem again.  This time there is no folder called 'Import' or 'Importing' so what should I do?

  • I recorded a panel presentation on my Ipod and would like to edit the recording on my itunes so I can export the recording and send it to my colleagues over the internet.  I was able to import the recording to my itunes library but need help editing it.

Hello, thanks in advance for your help.  I recorded a panel presentation on an ipod and would like to edit the audio recording to just one portion of the recording.  I was able to import the audio into my itunes 11.1.3 music library but I have not been able to edit the length of the recording.  I followed an online tutorial and was able to edit when the recording starts and stops on the recording but I haven't been able to edit out the parts of the recording that I dont want.  Also when I try to export it to my Desktop or to Garageband (not sure if that helps or not) I am not able to export it.  It is currently a .WAV file.  I would like to edit the length of the recording and then export the file onto my desktop.  I would like to email the presentations to my colleagues online so I could also use advice on how to make it a smaller file since it is current 945.6 MB.

iTunes isn't an editor. You need an app that's intended for editing audio files, like Adobe Audition (http://www.adobe.com/products/audition.html) or Audacity (free in the App Store).

When you say that you are trying to import the Attribute Groups using Import Config after resetting the data store, do you mean that you reset the data store, imported all atributes first and then are trying to import attribute groups? Or are you trying to import the entire output of Export Config back via Import Config? Also, can you import anything via Import Config?

  • I would like to import the .abcdp files from my old, restored HD (was running mountain lion when the mac crashed) to the addressbook of my new mac (10.9.5)

I would like to import the .abcdp files from my old, restored HD (was running mountain lion when the mac crashed) to the addressbook of my new mac (10.9.5).
    Please advise.

I don't have access to one.
I don't understand why the new address book is not backwards compatible with the data from former OS X versions.
In 10.8. preview was still able to read the files although it was already impossible to import them into the address book. But Why?

As far as hardware restrictions, the only one I can think of is that you certainly need enough free space on your hard disk to accomodate the masters from your Aperture library.
IIn which case, ensure all your masters are "referenced" in Aperture, and that you then go to Options in the Lightroom import box and import photos in their existing locations.

  • When I import a commercial CD itunes will create 2 identical albums and put all of the songs except one into one album and put the other song into the other album by it self. How can I combine them all into one album and why is itunes doing this?

When I import a commerical CD Itunes will create 2 identical albums and put all of the songs except one into one album and put the other song into the second album that it created.  Why is itunes doing this and what can I do to combine them into one album?

I found this to be somewhat helpful: Grouping Tracks into Albums
What I did was to put in the same name for Album Artist in every track.  That seemed to do the trick (previously all those fields were empty).  It seems like a lot of work for a simple thing.
iTunes knows (or should know) that these tracks were imported from one CD. So why is it relying on incomplete data from the gracenote database?

  • Half of my imported files do not import the entire file?

I recently shot some high speed video using 2 Phantom high speed cameras. After converting the clips form their raw format to AVIs at 5 fps, I imported them into Premiere Pro CS5 to put together a side by side comparison. All of the AVIs imported into Premiere, however approx. half of the clips didn't fully import. For example a clip that is supposed to be 01:09:24:13 is coming in at 00:00:28:27. It's not a random compression, because when I compare the clip playback in premiere it does indeed represent the first 28 seconds of the AVI. I tried converting the files again in the Phantom software. One of the clips I was able to import and get the entire clip, however subsequent attempts for the others has not achieved the same result. I even attempted to import the clips into Premiere Pro CS3 on another workstation with the same results.
If anyone has seen a problem similar to this, a work around or a fix would be greatly appreciated, I'm on the clock on this one.

    Welcome to the forum.
Though with different file types, I have encountered similar - file Duration is mis-read in PrPro. Obviously, something in that/those file(s) header is being missed by PrPro. I have yet to find out what. As per your case, it seems to be with random files from what should otherwise be a simple group of the same file types, with the same exact conversion settings.
In my case, I get handed a lot of different file formats, and just use a conversion program to get those to DV-AVI (in my case) for SD Projects. Often, I will have a situation, rather like yours, where I will have 5 files, whose specs. all match up (same camera and settings in your case), and the conversion will be batched, and all resultant files identical. From time to time, one of those converted files will exhibit the same characteristics, as you observe. VLC, or other players, will see the full Duration, as will G-Spot, or MediaInfo. However, PrPro is missing something in that one file, and the Duration is heavily truncated, just as has happened to you. Quite by accident, I found that my PremiereElements program had no such issues with the "bad" file. It would Import and see the correct Duration, where PrPro could not. I just Imported, dragged to the Timeline, and then Exported to the same exact file settings, DV-AVI. The resulting file was identical to the problem DV-AVI that I had Imported. G-Spot and MediaInfo say it exactly the same. Various file "comparisson" programs could find no differnces between the two files, yet PrPro now saw the Duration correctly. I only wish that I could tell what went wrong, regarding the Duration in the originally converted file, and then the one that I just Imported and Exported from PrE, but I have never found the difference. I have opened the files in hex-editors, and gone line by line, and cannot find anything different between the two - but something IS different.
While I have no fix for you, I can add slight comfort by saying, "I've seen very similar, and in similar cases - conversion." My "workaround" involves some extra steps (plus an extra Export), in another Adobe program (in my case), so is not ideal. However, now that I know to be on the lookout for the possibility, I just watch those Durations closely, knowing that I might need to work on one, or more, of those files, to get PrPro to see the proper Duration.
Good luck, and maybe someone can offer us both a totally fail-safe method.
    Hunt
PS - I have encountered this with my old-fav, and generally flawless DigitalMedia Converter 2.7, plus several other highly recommended conversion progams, so it does not seem specific to any one conversion program.

  • ITunes will not re-import the same CD

Using 7.02. I am importing a cd audiobook. I joined the tracks and imported it - the first import proceeded normally until just near the end when there was a problem with the cd or my drive. I deleted the Music file and put the cd in another drive. It showed the tracks still joined and the little checkmark was green showing that the import was complete. I unjoined and rejoined the tracks and the green checkmark disappeared. I dragged the tracks to the library area to start importing them into iTunes again and in about 1 second the green checkmark appeared and the import ended. the file created is just a few seconds long. I cannot tell iTunes that I want the whole thing done again. I have tried rebooting, ejecting, etc. but iTunes doesnt get the idea. When I tried to play the tracks, it went thru them all in about 3 seconds.
I would appreciate any ideas. I am running Windows XP Pro.
    Toshiba laptop   Windows XP Pro

So I tried copying the files from the external hard drive to a USB drive. I could import the video files from the USB drive!
So then I tried importing the same files on to my PC's internal hard drive again. I could import the video files from the internal hard drive!
So then I tried to import the very same files that failed to load on the very same PC previously. I could now import them!
I still can't import from the external hard drive directly, though.
I really don't think I like the process of importing things into iTunes very much... any suggestions on what's causing any of this behaviour would be very interesting.

  • How to import the 'PREPAYMENT' type invoices in R11i

    Hi,
We are on 11.5.10.2, Patch Set Level AP.O
I am looking for an automated solution to import the AP Invoices of type 'PREPAYMENT'. The process throws up an error saying that the invoice type is not valid, even though 'PREPAYMENT' is in the Invoice Type Lookup.
Couple of solution pointers were advising to build a customization, by taking the code of AP INVOICE IMPORT and other related programs, but the effort to develop and maintain the customization is not worth the business need, as there will be only 20 - 30 Prepayments every month and business users can create them manually. Thus we would like to explore the option using the standard interface to import prepayments in 11i.
According to the following note, it is not possible to import prepayment invoices in 11i:
Note 430493.1 - Unable To Import Prepayment Type Invoices.
But if we are importing a standard invoice and if we have available prepayment to that supplier, then we will be able to apply it in import process (
Note 1280716.1 - How To Apply a Prepayment to an Invoice During Payables Open Interface Import)
Note that the feature has been implemented in R12 (see Note 460572.1)
    Thanks,
    Jayaram.

    Hi
I have had the same issue in the past and resolved it using a customisation.
It is a tiny customisation, in the standard program, the invoice types for standard invoice and credit memo are hardcoded. All you need to do is add 'PREPAYMENT' to this list and the custom version will work (assuming you take a copy of the standard as your starting point)

  • Can I import one chapter of a dvd of old family movies to edit or do I have to import the entire dvd first?

I had an old family film converted toa dvd.
I would now like to use one chapter in a project I'm working on. Can I just import the chapter I want or do I have to import the entire dvd first and then edit. It takes so long to do?

    Hi
Most probably not - not at all. I assume that Your DVD plays on any regular DVD-Player and if so the material on it is in a sort of .mpeg2 code and neither iMovie or iDVD can open this so to do what You want it needs to be converted into a codec they can open.
There are no standard way to do this on a native Mac (Yes one might ask why - indeed) so there are ways around this.
I prefer these of two methods
    • connect a DVD-player to a miniDV Camera and copy to tape and use this
    • or - Roxio Toast™ that can open the DVD and back engineer it into streamingDV that both iMovie and iDVD can use.
Best result is if You go directly to iDVD without any editing. But if material needs to be edited using iMovie HD6 or any version of FinalCut will keep quality as high as possibly. Using iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 will result in a quality loss depending on that they can not deliver interlaced video over to iDVD - so they lose every second line in the picture - less sharp result.
    or read my list on
    DVD back for future editing
    A. don't put a mini DVD into Your Mac unless it’s a tray-loaded DVD burner/reader
    B. iMovie’08 prob. 09 can import from DVD (homemade without copy-protection)
    C. I prefer one of these two ways
    • Copy to miniDV tape from set-top DVD-player --> Camera -or-
    • Roxio Toast™ - Can back convert to streamingDV for iMovie or FinalCut
    D. Read what Karsten collected.
    DVD back to iMovie.

DVDs are in a so-called delivery format (mpeg2), which isn't meant and

for using the iLife apps, you have to convert-'em first, in
recommended order, choose one of the following tools/workarounds.
    • DVDxDV (free trial, 25$, Pro. 90$)
    • Apple mpeg2 plugin  (20$) + Streamclip (free)
    • Cinematize >60$
    • Mpeg2Works >25$ + Apple plug-in
    • Toast 6/7/8/9/10 allows converting to dv/insert dvd, hit apple-k
    • connect a miniDV Camcorder with analogue input to a DVD-player and transfer disk to tape/use as converter
    • Drop2DV (free) a free tool claiming to convert DVDs into dv-stream...
    • Use iSquint for your conversions . www.iSquint.org

  • Is there any way I can view / remove pictures from Camera Roll on the iPhone, on a Mac, without actually importing the files?

Is there any way I can view / remove pictures from Camera Roll on the iPhone, on a Mac, without actually importing the files? I just want to view / delete files without importing them.
For instance I have 1200 photos on my iPhone Camera Roll. Some of these are shots, that I've taken multiple times, some good, some bad. I just want to clean up my Camera Roll, but going through the pictures on the iPhone's small screen is tedious. I'd much rather look at the camera roll's photo's on my Mac, and then decide which files I'd like to keep, and which to delete.
I don't want to import the files, as when I import the files, and delete them from Camera Roll, now the Photo's are not on my phone, and the only way to get them back on my Phone is to Import them back in using iTunes, and then they go into the Picture Library and not the Camera Roll.
In the same way as I can view Pics from my digital camera's SD card on a Mac without having to actually copy them to my computer, is there any app out there that will let me view my iPhone pics without importing them.

    The short answer is yes.
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
    Open Image Capture application.
Click on the 4 little squares at bottom to view them as photos, not a list.
Select the photos them click the No Entry icon at bottom to delete.

  • How to import the old library of iPhoto in a new imac with aperture 3.4.4

Hi guys I'm a happy owner of a new 27-inch iMac. I previously had a G5 and I had my old iPhoto library on an external hard drive. Now I would like to import this Iphoto library in Aperture. I do not want to create duplicates and I would not want the photos to be saved on the internal hard disk but in my exterenal hard disk.
After importing the Iphoto library can I delete it from the external drive?
What procedure should I use to make this?
Thanks in advance for your help and answer!
    Alessandro

After importing the Iphoto library can I delete it from the external drive?
What procedure should I use to make this?
In addition to Terence Devlin's advice just a few words of caution, since merging and upgrading libraries will be a major reconstruction of the libraries - better be safe than sorry:
Check your available free disk space. Merging libraries will need temporarily plenty of additional disk space, more than the size of the library that will be imported.
Before upgrading your iPhoto library, check, if your backup of the iPhoto Library is current. Don't merge the libraries without having a current backup of both libraries - your Aperture library and your iPhoto library.
Merging and upgrading libraries is safest, if both libraries do not have any inconsistencies and permission issues. Run the "Library First Aid Tools" on both to repair the database and to repair the permissions, before you do anything else. To launch the "First Aid Tools" hold down the key combination ⌥⌘, while double clicking the library in question.
After you imported the upgraded iPhoto library into your Aperture library, as Terence Devlin explained, check the result of your import carefully, if it is complete. There may be referenced images, that fail to import, or images synced from Photo Stream, Facebook, or something. Do not delete your old iPhoto Library, until you are sure, that every image has been transferred correctly and can be opened and edited.

  • Is there a way of getting Firefox to automaticly import the Explorer settings upon install?

    Hi!
I'm trying to repack Firefox 3.6.3 into a MSI for a deployment install trough-out our organization. Since we're using Explorer as the default browser at the moment our users have all their bookmarks and such stored in Explorer. Now I'm wondering..
Is there a way of getting Firefox to automaticly import the Explorer settings upon install?
    -Without having the wizard popup.
I also don't want Firefox to be the default browser since the users have to decide for them self. But atleast they have there bookmarks / defaultpage and proxy settings if they decide to go for Firefox.

I'm not sure if you have the capability, but did you try copying from your premiere sequence and then pasting into your after fx timeline? i was working with a MUCH shorter video with a mix of merged clips (interview footage) and video clips (b-roll). the video clips imported, but the merged clips did not. i put the timeline cursor to the right point in the after fx timeline, copied the premiere clip from the sequence, pasted it into after fx.
