Import UDO Data via DTW

Hi guys,
I'm using SAP 2007 SP01 PL10. I know that you can import data into a UDO using the DTW, but I can't seem to find a template for this. Can anyone help?
thanks,
Costas

Costas,

  • It's not possible upgrade master data via DTW in SBO 2007.

    Hi to everybody,
I was trying to upgrade de BP master data via DTW, but its not possible.    I cheched the chechbox "Update" but I got an error saying "This entry already exists in the following tables (ODBC - 2035)".
The change I try to do is in the address contact.

    Hi Daniel Rivas,
Regarding this issue, please kindly check the following
-> Whether there are duplicated records in the import file. If there are two rows for the same name, please remove one of them and this file can then be imported successfully.
-> LineNum should be filled correctly. It should be sequential number which begins from the quantity of existing contact persons. For example if there are 10 contact persons for a specific BP, and you want to add another 10 new contact persons, the LineNumber should start from 10 to 19.
-> In DTW Wizard step 3, select the checkbox 'Add all Items into Schema if can't find corresponding item when updating' under Target Data tab. You can refer to Note 789315 for information on the functionality of this checkbox.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I import UDOs data in earlier 2007 versions (before PL46)

    Hi Experts,
I made an UIAPI AddOn that has several u201CChoose from listu201D (CFLs) and is working fine, In order to use CFLs I had to make an UDO.
Mi problem is that my customer has SAP B1 PL42 and in this version the Data Transfer (DTW) cannot import UDOs data (this feature supposed to be available in the SP01PL06 version) and the DIAPI has no support to add UDOs rows (this feature is available from PL46).
My question is, ¿How the old AddOns (PL42 and olders) that have CFLs did to import its data?, ¿How can I import UDOs data in PL42?
    Thanks

    Hi Mario,
Unfortunately, there was no supported method for importing UDO data in versions prior to PL 46. The only option is to use the UDO form itself, within the SBO client, to load data. I have previously used the B1 Test Tools utility to load UDO data (which takes control of the UI so using it doesn't bypass SAP"s support rules) but it does take a bit of work to set up and you can't control the test tools through code.
SAP don't allow the direct use of SQL statements on system tables. As all UDOs use system tables to some degree (ie ONNM etc), you can't use SQL statements to load data without breaching SAP's support rules and risking loss of support for your system.
    How much data is involved?

  • Importing BusinessPartners Data via XML

    Greetings,
I've got a problem on importing BusinessPartners data via XML. I exported an BusinessPartners object by using the GetBusinessObject and SaveXML methods and I now want to use this XML file to create a new BusinessPartners object.
    <i>Dim vCmp As SAPbobsCOM.Company
    'settings & connect...
    vCmp.XmlExportType = BoXmlExportTypes.xet_ValidNodesOnly
    'or  vCmp.XmlExportType = BoXmlExportTypes.xet_ExportImportMode
    Dim vBPSave As SAPbobsCOM.BusinessPartners
    vBPSave = vCmp.GetBusinessObjectFromXML("C:\object.xml", 0)
    ...</i>
    Error is like this:
    <i>Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: <ErrorList><Error>System Id = 361754288, Line Number = 1, Column Number = 79, Description = The namespace of element 'schema' must be from the schema namespace.</Error><Error>System Id = 361754288, Line Number = 1, Column Number = 99, ...</i>
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Is there any other propertis I need to set?

I found where the problem was.
This line should be used before create the XML file:
    <i>vCmp.XmlExportType = BoXmlExportTypes.xet_ExportImportMode</i>

    Hello all,
I am importing opening balances for Customers via DTW.  My client wants to import all the open Invoices at their original amount, and then import the incoming payments against them to have them net out to the correct remaining balance.  I already know how to import the invoices.  I'm looking at using the PaymentDrafts template in DTW for the Incoming payments but I could use some guidance.  Can anyone provide and example of the data required to both import the incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate AR Invoice?

    Hi,
It is possible. Are you looking for payment on account  . You have to use two templates,
    1. Payments
    2. Payments accounts
and customer and supplier cannot be imported in one template the Incoming payments for Customer and Outgoign payments for suppliers.

  • Importing of data using DTW

    Hi,
Is it necessary to follow the process flow, when importing data using DTW.
Eg. in our case , we have a branch for whom we are uploading Inventory, Purchase and Customer balances as of 31st July 2008.
Is it required to strictly follow Inventory upload first then Purchase and then Customer data.
    Regards,
    Jyoti

    Hi Jyoti
If the Purchases and Sales documents will be created as service documents (purely value based) then it is not necessary as they will have no impact on stock quantities in the warehouse.
    Kind regards

  • Importing UDF data through DTW

    Hi Experts,
I am using SAP Business One 2007B PL00. I have created 2 UDF's on row level in marketing documents. These fields i have defined to track the legacy PO/SO number and the other UDF to track the date in yyyymm format which is present in legacy and is required by the client. I have added these UDF's in my DTW template through the Interface provided in DTW. When i do the simulation run there are no errors in DTW. But when i actually import in my database then both the above UDF's are not imported. The rest of the fields are imported without any error. The DTW does not give any error log. Any solution?
    Thanks in advance.

Could you check the MAP RULES tab in Step 3 of DTW and check if the fields are mapped properly.
Also, go to the Target Data tab and check

    Hi,
I had tried to post Purchase invoice data using oPurchaseInvoices template , data had transfered ,i had given tax code but it not caliculated tax amont, it showing tax amount zero

Please verify your Tax Code is exactly the same as your real code. Sometimes, a looks like code will not going to be recognized by B1. Tax Code is case sensitive.

  • Active Items Master via DTW?

    Dear Experts,
Anyone know which field should I use to do the Active / Inactive item master data via DTW?

It imported succesfully but dit not update in the front end on SAP B1

    Hi Mickey......
Instead of 'Y' and 'N' use 'tYES' and 'tNO' for ValidFrom and To

  • Data format to transfer data through DTW

    Dear all,
I can't find the documentation which has information about Data Format to fill template to transfer data via DTW to SAP B1.
    Example:
    Account code   :  20 Character
Active Account :  valid entry tYes, tNO
    etc ..
    Anyone can help ?
    best regards,

    Surya,
Please take a look at the Wiki e-book.  It seems you are trying the Chart of Accounts template.
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/B1/SAPBusinessOne...ToGo-10.DataTransfer+Workbench
Also, the SDK Help files have useful information about the valid values for different objects.

  • Import Invoice via DTW - DocDate

    Dear Experts,
I tried to import Invoice via DTW. I filled the 'DocDate' column in the oInvoice template with '20080102'. But when I checked the invoice from the A/R Invoice module the result was 20080504. Why DTW uses my system date instead of the date I put in 'docdate'? How to import this date correctly?
    Thank you in advance.
