Important java files missing?

i have tried to install the jre and the jdk from the extra repo's and when i try and install bluej i get this error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: bluej-221/jar

i have tried reinstalling the jre and the jdk but that didnt fix anything. I also tried installing from the jre and jdk packages on the sun website.

i was trying to run "java bluej-221.jar" and that was the error i got. as i was told this is the way to install bluej from the bluej site.  I had java and bluej installed once befor but bluej went bonkers saying it couldnt find "system library" for system.out.println and when i tried to reinstall java came back with that message. so i reinstalled java.

  • Java File Missing while import

    Hi,
       When I try to import a project into the workspace, only one java file is missing(showing error : R3View does not exist).
       Before I import the project, the folder contains that java file in gen_wdp folder. but after import, it doesnt. It automatically got deleted. I dint know how it happens. I have taken one copy of that java file. So I have created a new java file(R3View.java) in gen_wdp folder and copied the code. Now it works fine. I have taken this backup folder.
      When I try to import it next time, the same problem exists. Actually the folder contains all the java files before import.
    Why this problem occurs? Kindly help me out.
    Regards,
    Kalai

    Hi,
    As abhilash stated the folder gen_wdp always have generated code based upon web dynpro metadata.
    You cann't contribute code by placing any souce file in this directory. That you have to do in some source directory that is generally "src\packages".
    If you place code in gen_wdp folder and reload the project, do a dc build, or simple project build ....... the file will get deleted.

  • CVS imports Java files but they do not appear!!

    Hi all,
    I am starting to use CVS and was able to set up the server import the project and to check it out and everything seems to work fine !!! But unfortunatly the java files that are imported do not appear in the application navigator. The folder in which they are normally contained appears but it seems to be empty. Also when i run my pages the code contained in the java files is executed but i cannot go and modify it !
    do you have any advices? please
    Regards,
    Carl

    hi Brenden,
    thx again for your reply,
    I have tryied opening closing re-importing the project always unsuccesfully!
    I tried the Project Content setting for my project and i was able to have some of the files to appear. but it never goes into the sub-directories even if the option is checked I really find this weird. Just to know if i try the same project with the same options all the java files are there!! so it is related to CVS.

  • Java file missing in par file

    Hi all,
    We have a par file. After importing that par file in NWDS we could see only jsp pages. No Java file exists.
    This par file is downloaded from our portal which is created by previous developer. I think previous developer did not selected "Include Source code" option while exporting par file to portal.
    Now we need to changes in R/3 side and in java file. For that we need to know the Function Module or Report used in R/3. I think this data will be in java file.
    Can anybody let me know how to find the java file related to a par file?
    Regards,
    Swapna.

    Hi Bobby/n@v!n,
    Thank you for the inputs given.
    But I heard that we cant get the same java file (like original) when we use the Java Decompiler. We will get the file which gives the same output with different code. I'm not sure if we can the use the file given by java decompiler.
    Is there any other way to get the original java file of given par file?
    Regards,
    Swapna.

  • Importing java files

    Hey all,
    I created two seperate objects in two seperate java files. Now I want to "#include" them into a third java object. How is this done in java?
    Thanks,

    If they're in the same package, nothing. If they're in different packages, use the import statement; e.g.: import path.to.yourpackage.*;

              Also if you're deploying a webApp, make sure to have a keepgenerated entry in the
              webapp deployment descriptor.
              It looks like the implicit variable exception is null the time you're making the
              call exception.getMessage. I would suggest to change this line to exception !=
              null ? exception.getMessage() : "whatever error message you see fit".
              Try this with all other variables you're accessing in the JSP.
              This way you can pinpoint the location where you're trying dereferencing null.
              If the implicit variable exception is the cause try the combination of <%page
              errorPage=...%> in the page causing the error and <%page isErrorPage="true"%>
              in page handling the error.
              Hope this helps.

  • BPC NW 7.5  IMPORT.XLS Files missing

    Hi All,
    I have a scenario, here I have uploaded my .CSV file, the normal process in Data Manager the source file is loaded, but when I try click on destination file and click on private it got saved. But when I go into System Aministrative Folder, I can't find the ImportMasterData, but instead I archive and other option. Is there anything I'm missing.
    I find the following post was not pointing me into right direction.
    Re: While importing file error msg - 7.5NW.
    Please advise
    Zan
    Edited by: Muhd Rikhzan on Dec 10, 2010 4:19 AM

    Hi Zan,
    Search 'Import Master Data' package in 'Data Management' folder instead of 'System Administrator' folder.
    If you dont find then create a new package with standard BW process chain 'Import_Master'. If you cannot find this process chain, then you need to activate BI standard content.

  • Import .java file

    I am working on a program where a few small methods change the entire gameplay.
    The way I have written them uses several global variables, so I cannot compile the methods without putting the globals in each.
    How would I go about this? I am thinking about importing them without pre-compiling them. Is this possible? If not, can I have recommendations on how to address this?
    Yes, I am pretty new to Java programming.

    I would really like to see you compile methods, stand alone methods are they?
    What I think you are saying is you have 2 classes, and you use global variables, well, if you need to merge the functionality of the two, then you could make a 3rd class to house your golobal variables and then give both your other objects visility to it by having it launch each object.

  • Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) configuration export and import fails, files missing

    <I don't see a board for MAX so I posted it here.  I hope you don't mind.>
    I am trying to migrate to a new computer and have successfully moved the LV code but it relies on the configuration setup in MAX to operate.  There are many configuration items includes hardware configurations, scales, etc. I have LV 6.1 on Windows XP and MAX v 3.1.1 on both machines.  When I export all data from computer 1, I end up with an NCE file.  This file is binary.  I've tried exporting to text format but have not succeeded.
    When I try to import on computer 2, first MAX reports "Can not find RTE directory: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cvirte".  This seems weird since I didn't install LW/CVI when I installed LV.  I click OK.  I then get "Unable to open c:\program files\national instruments\max\bin\cvirte.rsc".  I click OK.  I then attempt to import the data from the NCE file but get "This wizard does not recognize the specified configuration file."
    I tried installing NI System Configurator v5.5.1f0 but get the same results.
    How can I safely migrate the MAX configuration data?

    Yes, MAX is also installed with the motion controller driver.
    NI-DAQ 6.9.2 is over 10 years old. I simply don't remember what issues it had, sorry. Version 7.4.4 was the latest for XP. Perhaps that works better.
    And the cvirte was required for some of the MAX features. It should have been installed automatically.

  • Missing java file via eclipse.please help

    There is a java file missing in my eclipse when i do an update
    via svn.
    the error class the class shows 'Trade cannot be resolved to a type
    How do I import via SVN fo that specific file that is missing?
    I tried doing a fresh update but still its missing?
    please help

    Suresh,
    there are multiple ways to achieve that. If it is a "pure" java application create a java project.
    If you put java files into portal, webservice etc projects, they be compiled with the projects build process.
    To compile a single class you have also the option to configure an entry in the tool section (which points to javac for example) and run the tool, when your file is open (like in Visual Studio).

  • Imports (importing other java files)

    Hi there. this is sorta urgent.
    It works at uni, but not here, don't know why.
    I am using JDK 1.4.1_01 and jcreater lite as an IDE
    I have made a program, its for the course, but everytime I compile it says that the packages could not be found.
    for example:
    import Date.java;
    import Calander.java;
    public class mainapplication {
         public static void main(String[] args)
    ..It gives me an error:
    C:\coursework2\mainapplication.java:16: package Date does not exist
    import Date.java;
    ^
    C:\coursework2\mainapplication.java:17: package Calander does not exist
    import Calander.java;
    ^
    C:\coursework2\Date.java:15: package Calander does not exist
    import Calander.java;
    ^
    3 errors
    And if I take out the .java; from the imports commands, then it still won't compile, saying it's expecting a '.'!
    What should I do? I even tried going into MSDOS and typing javac mainapplication.java but i still get the same errors
    Please help, I know it's a simple solution, but need your help.
    Thanks

    It works at uni, but not here, don't know why.
    It does not work at uni, if you don't believe me go test it.
    The "import" statement only gives you the option to use short names for classes. Thanks to it you don't need to type the fully qualified class name, such as "javax.security.auth.kerberos.KerberosKey", every time you want to use the class ("KerberosKey"). It only exists to help you, the programmer, write shorter code and type less.
    That said, you cannot "import java files". It just makes no sense.
    Date and Calendar are both in the package java.util, maybe you want to "import java.util.Date" and "import java.util.Calendar".
    Hi there. this is sorta urgent.
    I hate people who use that word...

  • Jarred .java file, how to use it?

    for a naked .java file, we can use -classpath to import it to our source files.
    but for a jarred .java file, can we import it into our source file for use?
    i tried for few hrs, it is impossible.
    if u have used a jarred .java file before, pls give me a hand.
    thx

    but for a jarred .java file, can we import it into our source file for use?No. And this has nothing to do with jar files at all. You don't import .java files, you import .class files.

  • Compiling the java file related to Servlet and Core java files in heirarchy

    I am working in Jakarta-Tomcat 4.0.4 with j2sdk1.4.1_01 and i have put all servlet files in package "com.java.servlet"
    and other core java files in package "com.java.action" . Also I am imorting java files in package
    "com.java.action" to the package "com.java.servlet".
    But when I am compiling the servlet files in package "com.java.servlet"
    then the servlet files are not compiling because it cannot able to import
    java files in package "com.java.action" . I have tried all the options.
    If anybody has solution then please respond immediately.

    I agree with the previous poster, this sounds like a generic compiling problem. FYI: I do not think that packages that start with "com.java." are special or reserved in any way.
    You are making a servlet, not a JSP, right? Since this is merely about compiling, you might want to re-post to "Java Programming".
