Importing requisitions using XML...
We have an external system from which we need to import requisitions into Oracle. We would like to use XML. Is there a document describing the correct XML document format for Oracle?
Empty TOC as in the .xml that RoboHelp generated for me?
I found the .hhc file (silly me expecting to find a .xml ) which contains tagged content, so if I do the cut/paste into that in a text editor, it seems to reflect it in the project. Is that the file you mean?

Importing data- using xml file into HANA Table
Hi,
We are using (HDB STUDIO ) - revision 60.......
Is it possible to import data using XML file into HANA table (Master,Fact tables)?
(Without using any intermediate adapters for conversion of data.....)
Can any one suggest us........
Thank you.Hi user450616
I am a bit confused about what you are trying to achieve.
Are you:
1. importing a CSV file into APEX
2. adding an extra column to the Oracle Table
3. populating the extra column with the CSV filename?
Let us know if this is what you are trying to do.

Import of XML file failed in portal using XML Content and Action
Hi Friends,
I am trying to import the simple XML file which is just creating the folder in the PORTAL_CONTENT using XML CONTENT AND ACTIONS which is one way of creating the portal content. GO TO SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION > TRANSPORT > XML CONTENT AND ACTIONS > IMPORT.
The reason for using this import tool is to upload the backend Business roles, which is not not working on our corporate portal. To test the import functionality I used the following xml file (I got this XML file by exporting the test folder in the portal using the same tool)

hi all
It would be appreciated if any one let me know how to edit
bitmap which is imported in flash using xml and save the edited
bitmap back to xml in flash.
Is it posible to save the bitmap data in flash?
thanks in advanceYes you can... but like I said before you need to upload the
data from the changes you make to a server.
In terms of the solution... its unlikely that you'll find one
specifically for your needs. You will have to learn whatever you
don't know how already and maybe adapt some existing examples to
your needs.
To change the visual state of a movie clip... you just do all
the regular things that you want to do to it using flash... scale,
rotation, drawing API , textfields etc in actionscript. If you
don't know how to how to do that stuff, then you need to learn that
first. That's basic actionscript.
You can capture the visual state of a movieclip using the
BitmapData class. That includes a loaded jpeg. You can also
manipulate bimatp data using the same class. You should read up on
that if you don't know how to use it or check out the examples
below for uploading info.
For uploading to the server:
Here's an as2 solution that took 15 secs to find using
google:
http://www.quasimondo.com/archives/000645.php
If you're using as3, google search for "jpeg encoder as3" and
look through that info. There are also historical answers in the
forums here related to this type of thing that might help as
well. -
How to handle error when importing taxonomy for product using XML?
We are on MDM 5.5 and built a repository for SAP R/3 Material Master. It has basic material information and taxonomy information as well. We built an import map based on an XML file, which includes basic info as well as taxonomy (classification) info. The import process runs smoothly. But if the import file includes some materials which characteristic values don't exist in MDM, the import will fail and exception file has a complete different format as our import file also it only display one material. Therefore, we cannot reprocess the exception file for errorred out items. What could we do wrong? By the way, we use "Create Pivot table" option in MDM to create the original import map.
Hi Micheal,
I Think your problem is similar to the below one,you can refer the below link for the same.
Import file using Pivot Tables
What you need to make sure is that you are using the same structure of the source file for importing as you used while creating the map else it wont work.
Your schema of the source file as well the schema used when creating the map must match.
You can refer the below links to know more about Taxonomy data importing:

Import MXF (P2) using XML
I have hand-coded an XML document to use when importing clips.
When the target clip is a .mov file, it works just fine.
However, when the target clip is an MXF file, it creates a clip in the bin, and properly names it, but it fails to connect to the video file.
I have pored over Apple's developer documentation, but I can find no way to tell Final Cut that it is dealing with an MXF video file and, therefore, must use its "Import P2" function.
Has anyone been able to automate P2 (or any other MXF) import using XML?

Unable to Import VOs using server.xml
I am a newbie to OAF.I am trying to make a setup for extending a View Object in Jdeveloper. I installed Jdev from Patch : p6012619_11i_GENERIC.
Steps taken :
-Created new OAWorkspace.jws and new OAProject.jpr
-Imported the required .xml page
-Downloaded the entire directory oracle.apps from the middle tier.
-Completed java , classpath, runtime settings and I am able to run the XML page which I imported to my local machine.
-Now I need to add a field in the table which requires extending the respective VO .
-I right click OAProject.jpr and look for “Import Business Components”, I do not have this option available. So I create New Business Components and give the required package. Clicked Finish
-Now when I right click OAProject.jpr I have the option “Import Business Components” available. I browse to myclasses\......server.xml , it should get the list of all the VO objects in that directory. But it dint.
-Then I thought of importing each VO.xml but gives me this error: ” oracle.jbo.dt.objects.JboException: Unable to add object HzPuiOrgSearchResultsVO to package oracle.apps.ar.hz.components.search.server.”
I don’t know how to proceed. Can anyone help me?
Where am I going wrong ?

OIA - Importing nested entitlements using XML file
Hi,
I am looking for some information on importing nested entitlements (like RACF information) into OIA. From what I gather sofar, looks like I have to use XML to import nested entitlements. But sofar, I have no luck finding any documentation on how to go about it.
If anybody has any information that you can share, that would be great.
Thank you
-KamalIf you're saying that you have Reader 9 and Acrobat Pro 7 on the same machine, please be aware that this is not a recommended or supported configuration. Although it's possible, people have reported a number of problems with such a setup.

Using XML to import/export large datasets
Hi,
I have a large customer who is using serveral aplications which
exchange data. Now they use MQUE Series to put some data on the
line. Each external application has his own interface.
We would like to use one interface which uses XML and depending
on what is in de xml-document, writes it in different Oracle
databases.
On a daily bases there must be created 500.000 records in de
database, so performance is a hot issue.
What are the possibilities and needed configuration (Oracle
8...i) and how reliable it is going to be ?
Suppose we want to use as much as pl/sql as possible.
Thanks for any feedback,
Ed

You should check out the Oracle Integration Server which was
just announced at Openworld. It is ax XML Messaging Hub that
incorporates workflow and has an adapter SDK to connect to your
applications. It uses JMS as the envelope and XML as the payload.

Using XML-based object structures to represent data in code/at run-time
Hello,
I have quite a "high level" question which has be bothering me for some time, and I haven't found the subject tackled in any books. I believe J2SE/J2EE is not an important divide here.
Lets say I want to develop a J2SE game application with two programs: a "level designer", and a "level viewer", and I want to store the level files in an XML format.
My question, and I use this example only to try and illustrate it, is:
when coding the level designer or viewer, is it reasonable to use an XML-based object hierarchy for representing a level in code/at run-time, i.e. using the standard Java DOM APIs? Or should one (as I would have done before XML came along) develop a set of classes much closer to modelling the real form of a level, and then add a means to convert those objects to/from to XML format?
This second option of course I would use/would have used if I wasn't thinking about XML, but isn't it sometimes easier to just read in an XML file into a DOM representation and just use the data straight out of that structure, rather than go through the bother of parsing the XML into a set of unrelated objects defined by a different family of classes? What shapes your decision here? And if the second option is best, what is the easiest way of converting to/from the XML?
Thank you for any advice.
GregHi Christian,
Can I ask: what about if your domain was quite 'close' to an object/DOM representation of XML?
For instance, what if a game operated by acting out a theatrical script, a spoken conversation, between two characters, perhaps somehow influenced at points by the user, and a particular level was just a different script for the characters.
One could imagine that the object representation of this would in the end be quite similar to how you'd represent XML, i.e. like a tree of nodes, where each node was a line from the script, and some nodes were a decision point where different nodes could be chosen from.
Would you still want to avoid using XML-based classes to represent the underlying 'game', or is there a point where you would 'give it' to the similarity and use existing XML structures directly?
Thank you for any advice

Error message when importing requisitions
When we want to import requisitions from the po_requisitions_interface_all table using the requisition import request we get the following error:
Preparer is not an on-line user
Cause: The preparer must be an on-line user if the requisition is unapproved.
Action: Make the preparer an on-line user.
Action: Enter a preparer who is also an on-line user.
I cant seem to find anything about this error om metalink. I have checked the user's responsibilities etc. His username and all the responsibilities have been end dated but I removed all the end-dates and tried to run the requisition import request again but we still have the same problem. He is in the approval hierarchy and is set up as a buyer. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks

Getting error while importing metadata using View Objects
Hi All,
I am trying to create a repository using View Object in OBIEE 11.1.5.1 but getting error while viewing the data, after importing the metadata in the repository "[nQSError: 77031] Error occurs while calling remote service ADFService11G. Details: Runtime error for service -- ADFService11G - oracle/apps/fnd/applcore/common/ApplSession".
I am also getting error "žADFException-2015: The BI Server is incompatible with the BI-ADF Broker Servlet: BI Server protocol version = null, BI-ADF Broker Servlet protocol version = 1" during testing my sample which is deployed to Admin server. I followed BI Adminstrator help file guide in order to create the sample for creating repository using view object.
Admin server log says

How to test SOAP request using XML SPY
Hi,
1. I am new to WebServices concept, I have downloaded the wsdl file and now I need to test the SOAP requests using XML Spy. However, when I try to test the SOAP request generated by XML Spy I receive an error "Internal Error: Session is not available. Aborting" , How do I go ahead to generate the session, Is there a way I can provide the Username and password in the XML Spy to generate something like session.
2. The second problem that I am facing is when I import the WSDL in XML Spy and generate the SOAP request, for all the fields xml tags gets populated with "aaaaaaaaaaaa" kind of data through out. Am i doing something wrong ? Is there some step while creating a SOAP request that I am missing becasue of which the gibbrish data is being populated as default ?
Please Help !
Thanks .I got my SOAP Requests tested using SOAP UI .. However I am still looking for ways to test it using XML SPY.
In the SOAP UI Tool just do right click and select Add WS Security Token ..
Thanks :)
