Importing site HELP
Hi,
I try to explain my problem.
First at all. I buy a script for e-commerce web page. Everything goes fine. I actualy did some changes directly on the files on hosting server.
Second. After 4 days I decide to transfer all the site on Dreamweaver so I can work on the site easly. Something goes wrong. I can't sea in "Live view" any of the page which are in PHP. I had several errors, the last is this:
What are the axact procedure for importing a site in Dreamweaver? My be I do something wrong on configurations, or my be there is on the site configuration that stops Dreamweaver to read the PHP filles
Do I have any problem with my localhost?.
Any sugestion?
Have you got a PHP server installed. This will be installed when you install Wampserver for windows, see here http://www.wampserver.com/en/

Help me to achieve my goal: creating a dynamic CQ5 website from a CRX Imported Site
Hello everyone.
For two weeks now, i'm trying to create a dynamic content CQ5 website from an imported CRX site.
What I already did and where I am now:
Step 1 - I have imported a website using the CRX Import Site tool.
Step 2 - I have done some mappings in my imported site images and texts. In the CRX content repository estructure, I can found the mappings as
unstructured nodes, at "etc/designs/mysite/dev/mappings", the component properties matching the components I selected in the component extractor;
Step 3 - I have done some extractions in my imported site images and texts. In the CRX content repository estructure, I can found the extracted components
at "apps/mysite/resources/images" (the last two ones I created myself);
Step 4 - After done all these steps, I acessed the Web Sites CQ5 menu and selected the "New Site" option, in the "New..." button. A "MySite Blueprint" is avaliable
to be selected as a Blue Print to my new site, but If I select this one and create my new site, not all the mapped components can be manipulated or selected and some
mappings just show on as an empty selection box in the page, where I am able to insert images, for exemple.
In short, after all these steps, I still can't do what I want with my mapped components and the new site is, basically, the same as the imported. Not every mapped components can be selected and edited and I can't change my site template or content (the far I got here is add a new image in the site, but without the liberty to change the position).
So, what I'm forgetting? Is there some step that I don't getting through? Maybe I need to work on the template created by the site importer?
Is there some material or media that can help me or maybe add knowledge to me?
Already read the "Site importer" and "Components" in Adobe CQ5 Documentation but don't get me far from where I am now.
If someone can help me to make this process better, with more liberty on my new site and the possibility to control all the components, adding new ones
or editing the existent ones, I'll be very gratefull and with a great new knowledge.

Thanks.I want to do this using the site importer because I want to show my clients how we can make content management and experience customizations a lot easier starting by their own websites.
So, importing my customer website and transforming it in a new CQ website is the way to show this.
Anyway, thanks in advance and I'm going to look at the page component for the website that I imported.

Seasons Greetings. How do I keep firefox 4 from disallowing my most important sites? All the garbage, it lets sail right in, but my bank accounts and library accounts are not allowed. Why is this? I have looked in the help section and tried the permissions manager, but when I type about:permissions in the location bar, I receive the following error, "The URL is not valid and cannot be located." When attempting to navigate to one of these sites, a message at the top of the screen appears, "Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page." Then there is a dialog box which says, "Allow." Once I 'allow' it, the page I'm trying to open does so. This only occurs with certain pages, and usually pages that I need open without any computer interference. I hope this clarifies things. Again, thanks for taking your time to respond.

Importing site info from Dreamweaver 8 to CS3
I am thinking about moving from Dreamweaver 8 to Dreamweaver
CS3. I have roughly 10 sites that I edit and update. I am wondering
if there is a way to import the site information from 8 to CS3
(meaning the FTP info, folders, etc).

JoeI have a similar issue. I had CS4 installed on my machine with about 20 sites/ftp info etc saved into it. My computer had a complete meltdown and I had to rebuild the computer. I have installed CS4 onto the new hard drive and I was able to save the old hard drive (it was unstable though and safer to start fresh). Is it possible to have my installation of CS4 grab the site information from a different drive on my machine? I was hoping it would just find it when I installed the software, but no such luck.
I tried "importing sites" but I could find any .ste files that it was looking for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It will take a long time to re-input all of those sites. -
OS is Mountain Lion, upgraded no problems, used an external Hard drive for my time machine, now my iPhoto will not show any of my photo's or ay new ones I import! Help please!!
Do you get this window when you hold down the Command+Option keys and launch iPhoto?
If not then you're not holding down both keys long enough.
OT -
I finally upgraded to Dreamweaver 8 from version 4. There is
no direct import of sites from 4, I understand. Prowling the
support site, it said to download the Site Import Export extension.
Did that and installed it, although I got a warning that it
would affect Dreamweaver 8 (I called the Extension Manager from 4).
I didn't realize at first that the extension was being installed
into 8, apparently.
I finally figured out that I had to go to 8 and select Export
Site from the File menu. It showed all my sites, and said it
exported them successfully.
I did notice, however, that it wrote a file with an XML,
rather than STE, extension.
When to File, Import Site, then, and imported that file. It
said that my sites were successfully added, and that I had to quick
and restart Dreamweaver 8. When I restart, it lists the added
sites, which are the ones I imported -- but then when I manage
sites, there are no sites listed.
Wondering if that extension had screwed up normal Dreamweaver
8 behavior, I uninstalled and then reinstalled 8.
Still the same result -- I go through this, get a popup that
tells me new sites have been added, but then they aren't there.
Any ideas would be welcome, I was hoping not to recreate my
site definitions manually.

I have two two web application on one sharepoint server 2013 (one farm) . First web application (compani.my.co) is pruduction and contains a subsites with a lot library, list, calendar , .... . On second web application I trying to import library
from production site .
I am using :

Hi, i have a canon 60d and i have been importing videos from it onto my mac for months but suddenly when i go on image capture or iphoto it no longer allows me to import them help!!!
Have you launched and tired Image Capture? When it's launched with the iPad connected the photos will display in the window. Select those you want to upload and use the Import to: menu and select Other. Navigate to the Desktop and select the folder you created to hold those photos.

I need to import site information from Studio MX to
DreamWeaver CS3. From the New Site dialog it appears that the files
have the .ste extension, but I am not positive.

okay- two ways to go.
The upgrade on the same machine should have pulled up all
sites defined on
the older version. Don't know why that didn't work. It's
something that
should work doing a normal upgrade on the same box.
way one:
get the third party mm-exporter utility. I don't use windows
and don't use
this program. But it works.

way two: if you can open dw MX and "see" the old sites, then
go to dw menu
IN DW MX, manage sites, and use the manage sites dialog box
to select a site
and create a .ste file for that site. Rinse, lather, repeat
for every site
you have defined. Then use the same menu item in cs3 to
"import" those site
definition .ste files
remember- there are two things- the site definition, and the
actual site
files. The site definition tells dw where things are. The
site files are the
things in the site.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. <br />

Much trouble with imports - please help!
Very frustrated here! When I put a CD into my computer drive, nothing happens at all. It's not recognised, not only in iTunes but in My Computer too. This has happened for a while. When, very occasionally, I find that the CD is recognised by iTunes only the first few seconds/minutes are recorded or the real time is overridden by something like 782:34:23 and the song doesn't play at all. I know others have had this problem too, but I just wanted to post my CD diagnostic in the desperate hope that anyone out there has a solution or suggestion.
I have re-installed iTunes and suchlike but this doesn't help so I assume it's something clever and technical that I have to do...
Anyway here's the diagnostic:

Crash during CD import - please help
When trying to import (Apple lossless in my case) iTunes crashes after a few songs quite randomly. This happens to all CDs I try. What a mess and how frustrating....
Does anybody have an idea, what could be the problem?
I'm running the latest mainboard chipset drivers and firmware for the DVD.
