Importing Software Components into Integration Builder (Design)

Hi
I have successfully installed XI 3.0 and have done post installation configuration.  Could you please point me 1.  how to apply the patches specified in the document
I have created Technical system and Business system to associate with it. Now I want to import those software components from SLD into my design time Integration Builder.  While I do this I am gettin an error "Interal Occured" - Details of the error list 2 numbers one being Null Point Exception.  Could you please tell me what could be the possible problem and the way to resolve.  Is there a do it yourself kind of a document to learn development in XI, ie step by step instruction right from Data object, message object, interface object, business scenario creation etc.
2. Is there a special step to follow to get the Adapters link up and running withing XI 3.0 web browser. Cos. at the moment, its invoking another window with local port number followed by :800, but it has an error saying "File Not found"
Please reply, really appreciate it.
Best Regards
Shiva.

Hi Shiva,
your second problem should be resolved, if you apply all available Patches to XI 3.0 (i.e. until SP Stack 03). I guess, that also the internal error in Integration Builder will be resolved by applying the patches.
There is an OSS note 670388 that explains how to patch XI 3.0. It should explain all your questions towards patching.
I would suggest to apply all patches and then check again, if those errors mentioned still exist.
Best Regards
Christine

  • Missing permission to import software components! --- Solved

    Hey,
Can anyone tell me which roles or groups need to be assigned to a user to be able to import software components from the SLD into the integration repository as well as import external definitions (like xsd etc.) into the repository?!
Because if I try the import I got an access denied message.
    Thanks
    Matthias
PS: Solved the problem by giving the user SAP_XI_Developer and SAP_XI_Administrator permission ...

    Hi Krishnan,
This is an issue of the SP3, you should apply SP4. The better thing is also to apply SP5 and SP9.

  • Remove deleted software components from Integration directory

    Hi,
I have several software components and products which have been removed from the SLD.
But I still can see them on the left tree in the integration directory. How can I remove them
    from the tree?
    Thank you!
    Reward points guaranteed

    Hi Michael Schmidt,
At first delete all the namespaces and imported objects under it :
1.Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, and Interface Mappings. If there are any errors during activation, try activating the Objects in the manner specified as specified below
    Integration Scenarios
    Actions
    Integration Processes
    Interface Mapping
    Message Mappings
    Message Interfaces
    Message Types
    Data Types
2.There should be no Imported SAP Objects in the Software Component. If any delete them and activate changes.
3.Delete all namespaces in the editor using sign. Do not save the changes.
4.Delete the two default data types that are created in the Interface Objects-->Data Types of the software component version (ExchangeFaultdata, ExchangeLogdata). Now save changes for the s/w component version and activate the changes. Ignore the warnings that pop-up. Your change list should look like the below.
Then u delete software component by:
Double Click on Software Component, On Right Hand side >Go to Software Component Version>Delete the software component.
U can also refer following link:

  • "Integration Builder: Design" only works well on server

Both TCD: SXMB_IFR and "http://host:port/rep/start/index.jsp" work well on both clients and server.
We know, when we want to visit the "Integration Builder:
    Design" in "http://host:port/rep/start/index.jsp",
    a logon screen displays.
The problem is i can logon to the Integration Builder with user 'XISUPER' in server, but error message 'Authorizaion error;unknown user name or incorrect password' displays in client with the same user and pwd.
    Is any other configuration needed?
    BTW: "com.sap.aii.ib.core.sso.enabled" in exchangeprofile;
The host file in the client had been modified successfully.

    Hi,
Can you just find out from your BASIS Team if they have followed the following steps while creating the user.
This is a detailed step by step procedure for creating a user:
    - On your SAP Web AS host, create the user below with at least the following parameters (transaction SU01).
    <b>User</b> : XISUPER
<b>Last name (Tab: Address)</b> : <your_name>, for example XI Super
    <b>Password / User Type (Tab: Logon Data)</b> : <init_password> / Dialog
    <b>
    Role (Tab: Role)</b> :
    AP_BC_AI_LANDSCAPE_DB_RFC
    SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR
    SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR SAP_XI_CONTENT_ORGANIZER
    SAP_XI_DEVELOPER SAP_XI_MONITOR
The SAP_XI* roles are composite roles
    - Save, and exit SU01
    - You must now log on to the Integration server host with the user XISUPER, to switch the initial password to a valid password.
    - You must restart the J2EE engine to transfer the user creation to the J2EE
Also go through this link for more details,
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/uuid/95d7d490-0301-0010-ce93-c58f9a3cde0b
If its been done exactly in the same manner as explained and if you are still finding the problem do let us know so that we can try finding where exactly the problem is.

  • Import Software Components from within CE/NWDS (NW CE 7.3.x)

    Hi,
I cannot find a clear statement in the documenation (sap help / nwds inside docu), whether it is possible to import sofware components into the ES-Repository from within the CE NWDS.
I am unsure, if it is an authorization problem or if one has to make a detour via the Web-Start/Swing-Client just for the import of SWCs into the ES Repository. Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    Chris

Hello Sheldon, I've seen that you've been pending for an answer for a while.
The thing is that you do not need to install 7.1 EHP1 with 7.3. It's either one or the other.
7.3 is an evolution of 7.1 EHP1 and is the new platform on which to deploy MII while 7.1 EHP1 has been around now for a few years.
    Cheers,
    Arnaud

  • Force Integration Builder (Design and Configuration) language to be English

    Hi Experts!
Does anyone know how to force the Integration Builder (Design and Configuration) language to be English? Since SSO is configured the logon screen do not appear and users can not choose the language they want. The problem is that the default language is German instead of English.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I've changed these parameters in the ExchangeProfile:
    com.sap.aii.directory.serviceuser.language
    com.sap.aii.integrationserver.serviceuser.language
    com.sap.aii.ib.client.login.languages
    com.sap.aii.ib.client.content.languages

    com.sap.aii.applicationsystem.serviceuser.language
    com.sap.aii.docu.languages
    com.sap.aii.repository.serviceuser.language
Now all they have the value EN. I also restarted the applications (Server --> Services --> Deploy) :
    sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.app
    sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app
However, nothing changed. Maybe I have to restart all the J2EE Engine?

    regards
    Carsten

Thanx very much for your reply,
the problem actually is in detail:
I try to import the IDOC-structure into the Design of Integration Builder - what did work for some other - but non-extended IDOCs earlier.
When I start the import I can ´t find the extended IDOC in the list of downloadobjects, but the (related) non-extended standard-IDOC only.
When I import the object that is listed as being non extended it actually is.
I wondered whether the IDOC-extension or the IDOC itself might not be valid so I checked Releasestatus in R/3-Systems what looks good and tried to upload the metadata with IDX2 - it worked.
