Importing WorkFlows Problems

I have tried to add workflows to the Automator Library by importing (a) workflows that come with the DevonThink Pro product and (b) a Postersize Photos workflow from Macworld (http://www.macworld.com/2005/12/features/dphelp1/index.php).
Instead of appearing the Autmator Library under the relevant Application ( ie DevonThink or PDF), the imported workflows appear in the Library under "My Workflows".
Why is this happening? Can I move them to the relevant application in the Automator Library?

Yes...I named the objects with capital letters e.g.
JComboBox SexComboBox = new JComboBox();well, it would be a bit more readable to start object names with a lowercase letter
(you might want to read about naming conventions one day: http://java.sun.com/docs/codeconv/html/CodeConventions.doc8.html)
I added some comments to your code:
SexComboBox.addActionListener(new
java.awt.event.ActionListener() {
/* This IS illegal syntax. The previous line starts a class definition.
You should see at least one method declaration here:
        public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
        } // actionPerformed
      } // ActionListener
I guess some lines have dropped out from your code here, because the
following lines do not look like ActionListener code.
You could try using the codelines above to fix your code
   SexComboBox.setEnabled(true);
   //Setup the sexComboBox item
   SexComboBox.addItem("Male");
   SexComboBox.addItem("Female");
   YearLabel.setText("Year");
   //setup the YearComboBox Item
   YearComboBox.addItem("1900");
   YearComboBox.addItem("1901");
   YearComboBox.addItem("1902");
   YearComboBox.addItem("1903");

  • Inconsistency with import workflow

Hello gentlemen and ladies, as well as Apple Community friends,
For past consecutive, straight days of trying to import AVCHD (.mts native files) from Canon VIXIA HF S21 HD CMOS camcorder, believe me, I have try all possible solution to import through connected camcorder to Final Cut Pro X.
As of last night, what I had discovered is stubborn spinning of waiting and waiting to import, nothing happens. It seems that it see Canon directory files, but nothing to import for minutes, hours. What's holding it back?
I have imported native directories from Canon camcorder within Mac Finder exactly what is stored on camcorder built-in flash card, and two flash cards. It kinda of can see the card reader or files on hard drive, but it still spins, and spins. What the heck is going on?
As of last night, I am amazed to discover that consumer-version, iMovie, can read and import no problem. I don't understand why pro app such as Final Cut Pro X cannot, while iMovie can.
It seems to me that I can import iMovie files into Final Cut Pro X. But the problem I have is duplication of files, and file explodes like crazy. And double time of waiting to import into iMovie, and then into Final Cut Pro X. It seems that iMovie convert mts file as QuickTime movie format (AIC). Not Apple ProRes.
As some of you know, I have no problem importing AVCHD files in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5. Why can't do the same with Final Cut Pro X? I just don't understand.
I really like Final Cut Pro X. But I don't see any truly seamless 'workflow'. I see no piece of an evidence of such smooth straight import files into Final Cut Pro X the way I want it to be - into Apple ProRes format.
My hands are up in the air and a little frustrated. I have posted for some help in the past few days. Some people has claimed that they have same kind of camcorder as I have and experienced no problem. I am trying to understand how? I just don't get it?
What a shame that Apple do not put suffice information in Final Cut Pro X Help.
I might go to Apple store here in greater Toronto area near my residence as there are a couple of Apple stores around near my residence. But I would prefer to resolve this through Apple Community discussion... as Apple store is always packed with tons of people browsing all over the place. Not only that, but communication challenge due to the fact I am Deaf.
Please give me a crystal clear steps for me to reproduce. Please be sure that you have the same camcorder as I have. Canon VIXIA HF S21, that is.
Thank you for all you help. Any help and assistance would be deeply appreciated.
Have an amazing, most beautiful day (it is gorgeous and pleasant) summer day here in Canada!
    TIA, Brian

    Hello Tom,
Just wanted to follow up and thought that I'd want to report back. I am glad to find a reasonable solution to deal with this stubborn, annoying import workflow problem. I am glad that I went to Apple retail store earlier today. Actually, the first guy at the Genius Bar at the store admitted that it was beyond his expert, but he has managed to get someone somewhere in the store on staff who happened to know a lot about Final Cut Pro X. Again, he also admitted that Final Cut Pro X issues are new to them.
They witnessed that my issue not able to get this camcorder not playing nicely with Final Cut Pro X. And it seems that Final Cut Pro X can see the SDHD cards inside camcorder. We believe that Final Cut Pro X app do not see or understand anything inside that built-in memory card inside the camcorder, which is a 64-GB flash memory fixed inside the camcorder.
I realize that most of my footages remain inside that built-in flash memory, and plan to transfer these clips from built-in memory into two SDHD flash cards. From now on, I would think I want to shoot clips and have it recorded straight to those two SDHD extreme pro.
What we have found that Final Cut Pro X finally imports media files from SDHD card. Although, I didn't bring my express card reader with me - forgot to bring it with me to Apple store earlier.
Therefore, I recommend that it is wise to connect camcorder to computer, then turn camcorder on. Once the cards shown on Desktop. Then open Final Cut Pro X. If connected camcorder to computer using USB connection, I don't highly recommend it - it is a pain and slow process. If you have quite few footages, go for it. But if you have large and/or many footages, go for express card reader or use FireWire connection if camcorder has this feature. Otherwise use express card reader, the better. Fastest one, the best.
And, I decided to sign up for One-to-One programme offered through Apple retail store so that I get both of my hands dirty under the hood of Final Cut Pro X along with Motion and Compressor. It would be easier for me, especially myself being Deaf, having difficulties in securing sign language interpreters for such workshop or training. It is hard to get talented interpreter to do technical interpreting especially with video editing or photo editing. So I decide to go for one-to-one, in-person basis with trainer from Apple retail store. Best of all, it is good for a year. Not bad for the good price, I guess.
Well, I am glad that I got this stubborn annoying issue resolved. So I can move this forward. I would expect that I probably will have some questions from time to time if needed to.
I told Apple team at Apple store earlier that Final Cut Pro X help material is really lousy and not well thought details. Lot of info left out. They told me it is still new and assured me that Apple corporate level will get this resolved. I hope so, sooner the better.
    Enuf blah for now.
BTW, I am able to import footages (mts/avchd files) into Final Cut Pro X with no problem from card reader using express card reader... BAM, here it goes. Fast! I see that, by opening Quicktime info on one of those optimized file done by Final Cut Pro X, I like what I see... H.264 codec. And this is 1080i HD this time. I didn't see that before. Today is my first time seeing 1080i.
I have quick question.. what is difference between 1080i and 1080p? What is good thing about 1080i? The trainer guy at Apple store said it is really high quality - 1080i. Is this true? I want to hear both side of perspective, the better informed for myself and others who have similar question as I do.
    Well, better stop for now...
Tom... and few others, thank you for your patience, and lots of efforts helping me out for past few days. I look forward to contribute myself to the Final Cut Pro X community. But first, I gotta to get both of my hands dirty under the hood of Final Cut Pro X... Play with it... Rough it up and see what it can do.
Thanks for all that you guys do!
    Bonne nuit!
    Brian

  • Setting Workflow status not working in imported workflow from SPD to Visual Studio

    Hi all,
I have created SPD workflow and imported in visual studio. When I deploy imported Workflow using visual studio feature I found that Setting Workflow Status action is not working. Do I need to change Set Workflow status activity in Visual studio to make it
    work.
    Rohit Pasrija

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that Setting Workflow status did not work in imported workflow from SharePoint Designer to Visual Studio.
I try to reproduce the issue and the result is the same as yours.
After I import the workflow, choose the .xoml file, the view is as below:
To troubleshooting the issue, I add a new item to the project and select “Sequential Workflow” in the template.
After I click the Tool, I find that there don’t have the “SetCustomWorkflowStatus1” activity.
To set the status of the state, we need to use the “Set State” Activity in the “SharePoint Workflow” toolbar.
That is the reason why the “SetCustomWorkflowStatus1” activity does no work.
    More information:

  • Order Import Workflow

    Hi All,
Can anyone please let me know the purpose of oracle Order Import workflow.
What exactly is it used for. I would like to understand in detail about what does the order Import workflow do and what does the Oracle Order Import Interface does.

  • Importing workflows from GRC 5.3 to GRC 10 and then changing them

    Hello Experts,
We are migrating our SPM,RAR and CUP data from GRC 5.3 to GRC 10.1.At present in our CUP we have user access request workflow as 2 stage workflow. Now in GRC 10.1 we require a 1 stage workflow.
I wanted an advise if it would be feasable to import the GRC 5.3 workflows and then make changes into it and remove 1 stage.
Or create new workflows using BRF+.
we are not sure as to what changes can be performed in the GRC 5.3 imported workflows in GRC 10.
    Please advise
    Regards,
    Apeksha

    Hello Steve,
Migration you deploy Java component and extract data form 5.3 and import in 10.
still lots of work to be done like and implementation as there are pre-requisite.
second approach does not need to extract all data from 5.3 system(apart from Ruleset,if at all its required)
I never migrate workflows better to create new one identical and faster i believe .
Second approach is little time consuming but good from my point of view.
In java stack people normally go with 2 system landscape .
there has been client where in ABAP people go with 3 system landscape.
now where tricky consulting part play and which data to be imported where.
and few other points needed to be looked like when you use tools and import data.
you actually import all transaction  data which contain all active and inactive
    expired.
in you go with 2nd option you will have only valid data to start with.

  • I am having problems importing some CDs into iTunes on a laptop with Windows 8. Most CDs import without problem. The ones I can't import can be imported into iTunes with Windows 7. Does anybody know why this problem is occurring?

I am having problems importing some CDs into iTunes on a laptop with Windows 8. Most CDs import without problem. The ones I can't import can be imported into iTunes with Windows 7. Does anybody know why this problem is occurring?

First-off, this seems to be a general problem with 10.4 (across all the operating systems of which I am aware).  Unfortunately, I cannot provide a permanent solution but, if you need a quick fix, this will (hopefully) work for you.
For some inexplicable reason, iTunes no longer recognises standard Windows paths.  For example:
    Y:\Music\Buddy Holly\Buddy Holly - Rave On.mp3
The end result is that it will import a playlist with no content.
It will, however, recognise the equivalent Apple paths which look like this:
    file://localhost/Y:/Buddy Holly/Buddy Holly - Rave On.mp3
It is possible to convert your existing playlists using a few basic replace commands in something like Notepad.  In my case, I made some code changes in my music manager and now generate two sets of playslists (one standard and one to accommodate iTunes).
Forgive me foir stating the obvious but please remember to make sure that the disk / path containing your music is accessible when doing the import otherwise you will probably get a blank result.  Note that you can do a bulk import by selecting all the (revised) playlists and dragging them onto the iTunes sidebar.
I am sorry that this is not a "clean" solution but it will work if you are in a bind.  The only alternative of which I am aware is to wait for Apple to fix the problem.

  • Importing tga problem

I have several targa image sequences from a client. FCP (6.0.5) will import some but not others. The only difference I can find is that under "kind" in the get info window some are "tga image" and the others are "adobe photoshop targa file". The latter imports no problem, while the former give an error: "File Error 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown."
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong or have run into this issue?
FWIW, I checked the fils in photoshop and they all have the same modes. They also all have the same file sequence naming structure.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Actually forgot to explain that the error I mentioned above occurs when I try to import just 1 of the targa files individually. If I try to import a sequence the number of errors changes to match the number of targas in the sequence. Sorry about the miscommunication. For the record, there are no other files inside the sequence folder(s) - just the targas.
Still haven't figured this out yet. Shake, Nuke, After Effects, Photoshop all open/import the files, but FCP will not.

  • Workflow problems: Import selection, 9 keywords in list?, Exporting image attributes...

I have a few problems incorporating Lightroom into my work flow.
    Is there a way to:
Select recursive directories when importing photos from disk without
a copy. Currently, I can only choose files directory(folder) by
    directory.
Get more than 9 keywords in a shortcut list.
Add photos from a previously accessed CF card to a catalog in a short
    time.
Currently it takes about the same time as loading a card from scratch.
Export image attributes to text file
    (filename followed by keywords, rating...)
Basic principles of my work flow:
    1. Flash card is used until contents roughly matches the archive media
    size.
This means a 1GB card fills to 700MB after deleting rejects, and
a 4GB card will easily fit on a DVD.
    2. Photos on card are categorized and rated/rejected/deleted one or more
more times while the card is being filled. This results in:
-Copies of retained images to the categorized directory structure on the
    computer.
-Rejects deleted from card, and not appearing on the computer
-Category, and rating information for each image in an easily parsed
    list.
    3. Post processing is done and printing is done on highest rated images
    in each category.
    For example:
Day 1: start with a blank 4GB CF card, and shoot 1.5GB for customers A and
    B.
    Customer A has 8 subjects a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h; Customer B has 12
    subjects
a,g,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,q,r. Note that some names for customers A and B
are the same. That night, I delete rejects off the card down to
    800MB,
and copy the saved images to the directory structure corresponding
to each customer on the computer. Then a list is printed out to show
an image+rating list for each subject. Notes are made for each
    "weak"
subject, so I know who to focus on in the next day of shooting.
Note I may have needed to do some minor post processing to determine
    rejects and rating.
    Day 2: I shoot 9 subjects for customer A: a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,s, and 12
subjects for customer C: j,m,q,t,u,v,w,x,y,z,aa,bb. Similar culling,
sorting, and copying is done to Day 1.
Day N: CF card is full, so contents is written to a DVD, then card is
    erased.
Day M: Sufficient counts of good images are obtained for Customer A, so
Final post processing is done, and prints are made.
My initial experimenting with Lightroom shows it has potential to streamline
the above work flow, but a few key hurdles have kept me from implementing
it. I have made some assumptions about the tool in the following description,
so the best help for me would first to point out what assumptions are incorrect
It looks like "import from device..." only allows a copy from the CF card.
A copy would mean once images were rejected in the catalog, it would be
out of sync. with the CF card. So "import photos from disk..." looks
to be the only way to accomplish principle 1 above. *[minor problem a]* I saw
no way to import the information from the CF cart recursively in this
mode. I had to choose the files in groups one directory (folder) at
a time. When I imported from device, I could grab the whole CF card,
even though it did a copy. Note another reason I can't copy the CF card
to the catalog is that the reject/delete operation would not free-up any
CF card space for the next shoot.
Rejecting, rating, and categorizing (with keywords) worked easily with
Lightroom, but *[minor problem b]* it appears the keyword shortcut list is
limited to 9 entries. Given customers can have more than 9 subjects,
it would be useful if this could be expanded, even if I implement some sort
of keyword hierarchy. I suspect the camera will complain about a bad file
format if I change any of the files on the CF card, but it looks like
the sidecar files on the computer disk allows me to "modify" images so
I can get a correct rating without actu

  • Workflow problem - keeping keywords while importing into Lightroom

I am working tethered to a laptop, and need to put in keywords for each product I shoot. I do this in LIghtroom, and drag those images to an external drive. Then, I take the hard drive to my office desktop Powermac, and import these into my LIghtroom database on that computer. When I do so, I check "none" for metadata information to apply, and when my images import, the keywords are gone. What am I doing wrong? I spent hours entering all that data.
Many thanks for any help or better workflow in general.
    Lynne

The keywords are stores in the catalog, not in the picture - specially not in the raw file. LR never touches the raw files which is one of the main concepts of LR. Everything you do is stored in the catalog and/or in a sidecar xmp file, depending on your settings.
Obviously, if you simply copy/move the raw files non of all your settings and keywords is coming along. You could copy/move the raw file and the xmp sidecar file - that will carry your settings. If you export, you export a picture with all your changes made to the picture and with keyword in the metadata. However, you can not export in any raw file format. If you need raw on the other machine you can as well look into dng: converting to dng upon import and exporting to dng. The dng file does not use an xmp sidecar file, it has all the metadata stored in itself.

  • Workflow problem during import of record

    Hi,
We get the following error message during import of a record using import manager:

Currently we run MDM 5.5 SP6 Patch 2. This worked fine before we applied patch 2.
The record is getting checked out in the start step. If I don't check out the record it's working fine.
    Any ideas?
    BR
    Michael

    Hi Michel,
In the start step of Workflow there is an option as check out records(yes,no). select yes, when record will enter into the workflow it will get check out and no user will be able to modify that record throughout the workflow cycle.I you want that the record shoukd be modyfied at some step during workflow then you have to give rights (Join CheckOut )to the user of that Particular step. For That login with the user which is the Owner  of the workflow now rightclick onthe record or records and check in\out->Modify Join Permissions->either add a user or a role. This will allow that added user to Join check out and modify the Record(right clik on record ->join check out). Then that User will be able to modify the records.
    Reward if Helpfull.

  • Shared Project Workflow Problem: Hitting a Wall with Markers

    Hi there,
Apologies in advance for the long note.  We're using Adobe CC to edit and finish commercials and are having a significant issue regarding shared project workflow.  First, some context:
We often edit projects remotely.  When this happens, assistants and other editors who remain in LA will have access to the media on our SAN while the editor and assistant traveling out of town will have their own copy of the media.  I know Adobe Anywhere would solve any issue relating to two identical sets of media in use in different cities, but we're a small shop and the hardware and software expense don't make sense for us at this time.  Please do not respond to anything mentioned from here on by stating we should just get Adobe Anywhere.  Thanks.
What will regularly happen is that the remote editor and assistant will need work done on the project here in LA while they're in session with the clients.  Sometimes this work involves marking up clips with comment markers so the editor can more easily locate a specific moment.  Here's where the problem arises.
Unlike FCP and Avid, Premiere handles markers within the clip's metadata.  So, if I have two separate projects linking to separate but identical instances of media, one of those media instances gets updated with new markers, there is currently no way to get those markers to the other project without also shuttling the new marked-up media.  This is not possible when a remote editor needs dailies marked up in a couple hours and is working across the country or abroad.
But let's assume for the sake of argument that it is possible and we apply this workflow.  Let's also assume that in the time it takes the local assistant to mark up the clips for the remote editor, the editor has added a couple markers of his own, which is reasonable and happens all the time.  Now when the editor links to the newly marked up clips he's received via shipment, he'll wipe out all the markers he's made on his own since giving the order to mark up the footage.  That is a significant inconvenience, especially with clients in the room asking stuff like "can we look at the take where the guy says 'good' instead of 'great'?"
So what happens if we just have repeating sets of media, so that every time the clips markers get updated, the editor actually imports those clips, even though the picture and audio data in those clips is completely redundant to what's already in the project.  The issues with this are, as I can see it, 1) increasing the amount complexity within the project so that you'd have to scan many bins of dailies to look for a single marker, 2) increasing by orders of magnitude the amount of storage space needed, 3) even if problems 1 and 2 are handled, if you have to go to finish with multiple versions of a cut, and those versions reference separate instances of the same clip from different bins, Premiere's dupe frame detection will not work and you'll need to spend a lot of extra time locating duplicate clips manually before sending your EDL or XML off to final color grading.
At this point, I think it's necessary to interject something:  we're talking about markers here.  Why is this such a problem?  FCP and Avid have no such issues simply by making markers - even clip markers - part of the project metadata.  From what I understand, Adobe has chosen to do things differently because of dynamic link, so that After Effects and Prelude, for example, could add markers to a clip and those markers would ripple across all instances of that clip in the different applications.  It's a great feature which we take advantage of here from time to time.
    So what's the solution?
My workaround in CS6, which does not solve the issue of needing to merge clip markers so that an editor's markers and an assistant's markers can be applied to a single piece of media, was to turn off "write XMP ID to Files on Import."  This would generate an XMP sidecar file which could be easily passed along with a project file to the remote editor, who could then overwrite his local XMP sidecars with the new ones containing the new marker info.
However, in Premiere CC that is no longer possible.  It appears that if Premiere CC can access the XMP ID on a file, it will not generate a sidecar regardless of what you have set in your media preferences.  We use ProRes Proxy as our dailies format (again, please no comments on this, it is not up for debate at this time) and Premiere can get to the XMP ID within the files and will not, no matter what it seems, generate an XMP sidecar.
We could change the company workflow to use DNxHD 36 instead of ProRes Proxy, which would give us XMP sidecars, but that would not solve the issue of needing to merge marker lists between projects non-destructively.
The best solution I can think of would be to have a script or some kind or built-in feature which would allow for the batch export, import and merging of marker lists.  This way Adobe could keep its current clip-metadata-based marker workflow while giving professional users needing more flexible marker behavior the ability to have assistants non-destructively modify clip markers without necessitating the creation of extra media or project complexity.
I would really love some input on this and ideas from the pro community out there who has experience with shared project workflows - especially projects being shared remotely.  There's not a lot of info out there about this and it would be great to hear what others are doing.
Thanks a million for sticking with this, if you've made it this far.
    Best,
    Jon

    Thanks Jim,
I understand that Adobe Anywhere solves this, but there should be this fairly basic functionality (which exists in Avid and FCP) in a non-enterprise edition of the software.  I have submitted a couple different feature requests about this, going back to CS5, so hopefully enough people make similar requests for a fix to be implemented.  Adobe Anywhere is really not a solution for our small shop as currently configured/priced, especially when we can have editors working remotely with very affordable USB 3 drives.  The only hangup is the markers, which just isn't worth a 5 figure fix.  As such it's hard to consider the problem solved for either us or any small shop or post crew.
    Best,
    Jon

  • Export and import, same problem in 08 as in 07!

I am so fed up and frustrated with this problems in iPhoto, I had exactly the same thing in iPhoto´07, and on an other installation:
When I import pictures from a folder on my HD, it imports the pictures, but it NEVER finishes the import-process! It goes on and on forever. So I have to terminate iPhoto and restart. The pictures are then imported, but the "Last import" folder is not updated. And I don´t know what harm this does to the library. Anyone else with this problem?
I also cannot export. It exports up to ca 370 pictures, and then I get this message "cannot create folder .....".
I have no iPhoto plugins. A new fresh plain installation, plenty diskspace and 2 GB ram
I removed iPhoto and then reinstalled - didn´t help
    I did repair disk/permissions, didn´t help
I rebuilded the database, didn´t help.
My guess is this is a bug in iPhoto, when will Apple fix this!

    Sitara:
Boot into Safe Mode and try to import. If it works then there's something amiss with your primary account. It may be another preference that iPhoto interacts with. To see if that's the case do the following:
    Trouble Shooting Preferences
Go to HD/Users/Your_name/Library. Move the Preferences folder (in its entirety) to the Desktop and make a second copy of it so you have Copy A and B. Now try the the process again and determine if problem is fixed.
If the problem IS fixed, then go to the new Prefs folder that the OS will have created and open it up.
Open Copy B on the Desktop and select all of the items inside. Drag them into the open new library folder. When the Copy window comes up check the Apply to All check box and then click on the Don't Replace button as seen here. That will keep the new files created and bring back all of the others.
If the problem is NOT fixed, trash the new Prefs folder and move the intact Copy A folder back to the Library folder .
If the import problem persists in the Safe Mode, I suggest you reinstall the 10.4.10 COMBO updater followed by a repair of disk permissions.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Import Workflow from Site-Template to Visual Studio 2012

    Hi,
I would like to import a SiteCollection Template into VS 2012 to create a sandboxed solution WSP Deployment Package.
The Package should contain some document libraries, some content types and a reusable workflow running in one of the imported content types.
So when I create the package and deploy it on a new sitecollection, all libraries and content types has been created.
The only problem is that under "site setting"->Site Content Types"->"My ContentType"->"Workflow Settings" there is no workflow, like it was in the original sitecollection.
When I then use Designer 2013 I see the old workflow. I can make a copy there and publish it again, then I can bind it to my content type.
What do I have to import from the template / or change in my VS project to bind the workflow automaticly at deployment time.
    Thanks a lot
    Stephan

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you had an issue about save site as template with the workflow.
Did you do some customization for the wsp template in the VS?
By default, when we save a site as a template, then the workflow attached with list or content type would be preserved.
You can save a site as template, and use the template to create a new site directly to check whether the workflow preserved in the site.
    Thanks,
    Jason
