Hm. I know of no such problem on Solaris. I run it on Solaris, myself, and have never seen anythikng like this.
You're sure that you had no DNS problem, that has since gone away?
You are letting nscd run? (there is a Solaris issue that running nscd works around, where if more than 256 dns lookups are done at one time, a buffer overflows)

The output looks different and there is no Enqueing and dequeing of messages. it is simply opening the connection(o),closing(c) and rejecting(x) connection.

Background
In the last week we've been experiencing problems with outgoing messages getting stuck in our tcp_local channel. They can stay for up to 4 hours before dequeuing. We plan to install Patch 116568 which is the latest core patch for our version of the Messaging Server.
To date we haven't experienced any DNS problems and have not made any configuration changes.
However I was just wondering if anyone had come across this type of problem before? We're hoping the patch will resolve the issue but would be interested in other alternatives.

You'll have to do more research before I can offer help. . .
It's not unusual for some messages to be retried, and depending on the destination, that may take a while.
Some outside domains are always slow. If you have many messages queued for such outside domains, they can involve the whole server, and cause mails to queue up behind them.
Many installations create a new channel, such as, "tcp_slow", and use rewrite rules to move messages addressed to these domains (aol, hotmail, earthlink, etc.) into this separate channel. You can "tune" that channel differently, and messages there won't block tcp_local.

Wish to add / delete auto-programmed channels on model 24L4200U

I wish to add / delete auto-programmed channels on my Toshiba model 24L4200U so that only my favorite programs scroll via the up-down toggle on the remote. This function is usually part of the set-up, but I cannot find it after scrolling through all menus. The instructions packed with the TV don't cover this topic, nor is there a manual available online for this model (too new?).
This seems like a simple task, but I am stumped ... hope there is a simple answer. Thanks!

I had a hard time too. Go into the Setup menu, then Installation, then Channel Options. Check the first column for channels you wish to skip.

Since I have serveral domains in one mail store, now we can separate SMTP channel for each domain. But how to separate ims-ms and tcp_local channel for each domain? Now we are on version 6.0 patch 1

I'm sorry, I don't have a clue what you're looking to do. Often folks ask for a way to do something, without telling us what it is they want to do, and the method requested isn't possible.
tcp_local is the channel set up for mail to and from the internet. ims-ms is for delivery to the store. They're already separated.
Please start over, and let me know what your ultimate goal is, and perhaps then, I can help you.
There is no need to separate anything for separate domains on one mail store. . .

Tcp_intranet & tcp_local channel

the default domain is domain.net
when [email protected] send an email to another user in the same domain the message is routed by default to the tcp_intranet channel

The choice of which channel is used is made in the "internal_ip" section of the "mapping" file.
You need to make sure that all of your internal systems are included in the IP range(s) you specify there.

Had youtube add on, now it's gone; how do I get it back ?

I had a program called Medium Human Audio Converter on Firefox (with a little YouTube icon on the Firefox 21.0 home page). It made it possible for me to take a YouTube song and put the song into ITunes. The "Medium Human Audio Converter" icon is STILL on the dock (I have a Mac OS 10.6.8), and when I click on it I still get the drop down window that the song 'media' gets dragged into. But the actual YouTube icon that was on Firefox, and that I clicked on when the song began, and got the song title etc. on the desktop to drag to the converter drop down window has disappeared. No matter what I do with 'tools,' and 'toolbars,' and add ons etc. I can't get that YouTube icon back. I am obviously missing a few somethings in the steps I'm doing. Anybody know how to get it back ?

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).

A project for school-once it was done-I had to add a few videos-problems

I was doing a birthday DVD for one of my teachers using FCE, we used the school photos and used the computer for audio for each student to say or sing happy birthday.
Once it was done, we realized , we forgot two students. I went back and every time I added the pic, then the audio, it messed up my timeline.
Sometimes, it cut into someone else photo or completely eliminated it and the audio of others were out of sync. Because of the time deadline, I had to apologized to the two students. If I had more time I would have probably figured it out.
In hindsight, I should have locked the audio and added the photos, maybe that would have help. Also, I wanted to move one clip to another location and ran into problems doing that. I remember in imovie, you drag the clip to a new location and all the other clips move and accommodated the clips. In FCE, everything got out of whack.
For next time, what is the best way to do this, especially once is done and you have to go back to the timeline and make adjustments?

If you want to edit it in between other clips, you should use the INSERT edit. You might have used overwrite by accident.

In the timeline, for having the rest of the clips "ripple" down to accomodate the edit, you could first copy the clip, then do a ripple delete (shift-delete). Then you could Paste-insert it (shift-V) where you wanted to move it to.

Tools menu (ALt+T) > add-ons and select check for updates for the add-on. It probably missed the boat somewhere along the line.

I had aniweather add-on and it seems to have completely disappeared?

What happened to aniweather? I have it on my other laptop. Want to download it to my new laptop and the add is nowhere to be found? It is a great tool. The best yet for weather.
