In app purchasing disabled

Trying to might make a purchase of coins and getting the message
           "in app purchasing disabled"
Went to Settings ... Apple ID ... payment information ... and it's all correct in there .. I updated it .. I don't know why it always asks for my 3-digit code and expiration date when I put it in so many times but anyway put it again and still can't buy coins
why???

My restrictions are enabled .. all of them have a green on them .. it's just I think this game called Pet Heroes has a glitch in it .. It doesn't allow you to purchase which means they're totally losing money

  • In-App Purchasing disabled. Check your parental control settings and try again

I have played games for quite a while and have used the purchased many "lives" for games, etc. For about a week now, whenever I go to purchase some like this, I receive the following error message: "In-App purchasing disabled. Check your parental control settings and try again later."
I have read the threads about this and have done everything that was said to do. I go to settings > General > Restrictions. I ensured that "enable Restrictions" is turned off.
But I still receive the same error message. I have an ipad 2 with IOS 7.1.
ANy further ideas? Is there something in the iTunes store that needs to be checked?
I've about given up. Thanks for any help

I will try doing this, but I would like to add ... if I'm playing Candy Crush and want to buy additional lives, etc., I have no problem in purchasing them. Could it be the specific game that is not allowing me to buy anything? And I know this doesn't make much sense either, but I'm grasping at anything here because I've purchased them before.
You said to turn on in app purchases .. When I go into Settings > General, I'm ensuring that Restrictions are Disabled, correct? I can see the "in-App purchases" but I'm not able to do anything with it since my restrictions are disabled ... Is this correct? I'm a little confused here.

  • When I went into General to disable App purchases I needed to put in a PIN number.  Can I change it? And if yes, how?

When I disabled APP purchases, I had to put in a PIN number.  Since I cannot take out the credit card I put in without creating another Apple ID, how can I change the PIN number?

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and enter the restrictions passcode. You can now create a new restrictions passcode.

  • In settings under general and in restrictions I'm trying to disable in app purchases but it is asking for a password but I don't remember setting up a password.  What can I do?

How many attempts do you get before you have an issue in settings under restrictions while trying to turn off in-app purchases?  It's asking me for a passcode but I don't recall ever having a passcode.

You need to set a password up before you can go ahead.  It is separate from the one you have on the opening page of you iPad.

  • Are there any ways to disable the Top In App Purchase?

    Thanks for your help.

I do not fully understand the meaning of "Top" in the phrase "Top In App Purchase". In Settings there is an option to invoke restrictions. One restriction option is to prohibit In-App Purchases.

  • How to disable in app purchase

I've never heard of this limitation on a Mac, even with parental controls enabled.  Can you be more specific on what you're doing?

  • In-app purchase of tangible goods

    Hi,
I like apps that teach us and our kids.
I also like in-app purchases. They allow developers to offer their apps for free with some partial (but very useful) content
and make money with additional content/software that they sell as add-ons.
I clearly see one missing component in this process:
    In-app purchase of tangible goods
Imagine you are studying drawing on iPad.
You are watching a training video. Instructor says:
”For the next lesson we will need the following Chinese 18 century brushes and acrylic paints. (shows picture of tools)
You can buy them yourself in a local stationary store,
    OR
You can click here and receive complete kit of brushes and paints necessary for this lesson for just $9.99.
This kit also includes templates for practicing. Delivery will take only 3 working days"
    Another example:
Imagine you are learning to cook Thai food on your iPad.
You are watching a training video. Instructor says:
”To prepare the following Tom Yam recipe you would need the following fresh ingredients (meat, prawns)
which you can buy in your local grocery store and the following traditional Thai herbs and spices. (shows picture and descriptions).
Complete kit of Thai herbs and spices for this and other lessons is available as in-app purchase for just $4.99.
Click here and we will deliver it to you in 3 working days"
Is this something you would love to do in your app ?
I think, Apple has everything necessary to make it a one click experience for users: calculate price including shipping and taxes,
collect payment, send prepaid UPS label to app developer (or specified vendor).
I wonder if this idea makes sense ?
    What do you think?

...or be responcible to do full refund and disable these in-app purchases if people will complain ?
    Would that work?

  • What happened to the sound effects in Garageband after in app purchase of $4.99 expansion pack?

I purchased a brand new MacBook Pro OS Mavericks and promptly began using Garageband 10.0.2.  There were many sound effects provided in the program (thunder, galloping horses, etc.), and I decided to complete the in app purchase.  Once I completed the download and install, I realized that I no longer had those sound effects.  Does any one know what happened to them?

Galloping Horses and thunder are not part of the GarageBand sound effects. You have probably other loop packages installed, for example the Final Cut Pro Sound Effects or the iLife Sound Effects.
Check, how your Loop Browser is set. The pop-up menu at the top of the Loop Browser should be set to "Loops" to have all loops available. Set the "Scale" to any, clear the search field. In the GarageBand Preferences, "Loops" pane disable "Keyword Browsing", filter for more relevant results.
Now you should be able to see all installed loops. If not, use the command "Reindex all Loops" from the "Loops" pop-up menu.

  • Expanded content in-app purchase of $4.99 installs but is never available (does not work), endless loop of "restore content".

Once I upgraded o Mavericks (10.9.4) and GarageBand (10.0.2) I saw the offer for additional content – 200 sounds, 2,000 loops, 15 drummers... – and made the purchase per this article: Expanding GarageBand for Mac (v10.0) content with an in-app purchase
After downloading the content, system asked for my log in, went through the install, but alas, the content is nowhere to be found.
    GarageBand menu, "Restore Purchases" available.
    Choose Restore Purchases
    GB downloads 10G
OS requests log in for installation
OS performs installation (no crashes, no problems)
But then content is not there and "Restore Purchases" is still available in the GarageBand menu. I've read the threads about the download crashing (which happened to me once), but this is different. I've tried resetting permissions, and now I've just installed a brand new SSD drive, fresh install of Mavericks and GB, and got the same problem.
Unless I am missing something, content is nowhere to be found. Any help would be appreciated.
    "Restore Content" always available:
    Where are the 40 lessons?
Where are the 17 additional drummers:

Your last screenshot is showing that the purchase installed:
You have more than the one drummer "Kyle". You can switch between different drummers by clicking the portraits "Rose" Curtis", Berry" and the genre menu, to bring up different drummers.
    "Restore Content" always available:
This will always be available, so you can reinstall, if need be.
    Where are the 40 lessons?
The in-app purchase does not download the lessons, but enables you to buy them for free. Sign into the Lesson Store, to download the lessons you want. It should now be possible.
Select "File > New" and then select the Lesson Store.
    200 sounds, 2,000 loops, 15 drummers...
The 200 sounds will be visible, depending on the selected kind of track.
You will see 2000 loops, if you disable the default "Keyword Browsing > Filter for more relevant content" in the GarageBand Preferences > Loops panel and set the the menu at the top of the Loop Browser to "Loops" and "Scale > Any"
What do you see, when you set the Loop options this way?

  • I just logged in to my itunes and theres an app purchase that I didn't make? What do I do?

    Hi,
got some itunes gift cards for my birthday. I still had like $24 left when I opened up my itunes today it showed that and then outta nowhere it said I only has $2 and change left. I didn't spend any of it. Check my email and there was apparently an app purchase on the 7th or 8th for some poker app and chips. I didn't make the purchase. What do I do? I know something is wrong because when I tried to log in it said that my account had be disabled for security reasons. Who do I contact about this, and how?
    Thank You.

I just remembered some more information actually, my brain obviously isn't working. There is a way to report issues within iTunes via your purchase history. You go into your account > purchases > purchase history, and at the bottom is a button which says "Report Issue" or something like that. Less direct, but I also forgot to mention that the number above will get you to anything Apple related, and the people you eventually speak to are extremely knowledgable and friendly.

  • After using PayPal for over a year to make in-app purchases, now I can't. I changed my payment method to credit card but still can't. Anyone have suggestions/info?

I have been making in-app purchases with PayPal for over a year. Now I cannot. I changed my payment method to Credit card, but still can't. I can purchase music in itunes but no game purchases. My ID was disabled after a paypal dispute but after an entire evening on the phone with support and security, that was resolved. Any suggestions? If I have to spend more time on the phone with support, I will. But I would rather not.

  • App purchased accidentally. Who do I contact to get a refund

My ten year old daughter who had a learning disability had a snow day yesterday and decided it was ok to use my iPad.  She downloaded an app that said free in the title but it was actually $ 99.99. I was wondering if there was anyway to get a refund on it.

The app may have been free to download, but quite a few then allow in-app purchases to be made within them e.g to unlock features and/or levels. You can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
You can also turn off in-app purchases on your iPad via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off', and depdending upon what version of iOS that you have on it you may also have a Require Password setting onthe Restrictions screen which you can set to 'Immediately' (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered).
