In short, firefox was my web browser with a google window. Now, I open the mozilla window only to have google totally dominate the screen. Only for me, not my wife. What did I do, how do I correct???

I was using both firefox/mozilla and google but now when I click
on mozilla it trys to open but google dominates and I can't get into firefox to browse. Yet other users still have the normal screen and no problem. What did I do and how do I correct this problem?

First make sure that no application is using or has open any files on the disk. Then:
Click and drag the disk icon on the desktop to the trash. Wait for the system to recognize the action, and the icon should disappear from the desktop. It is then safe to remove the device.
Alternatively, you can secondary click on the disk icon, and then primary click "Eject (name of disk)". Wait for the icon to disappear off the desktop, and then it is safe to remove the drive.

When I have a youtube video up and switch to a different window or program the video box shows up at the upper left of the screen and it does not go away. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

I also have it - I updated Firefox and Flash both today.
When a YouTube is running and you cover all of the image with another page, a copy of the flash output appears at the top left corner of the screen, on top of anything there, and persists as long as the video is covered.
The only way to get rid of it is stop the video and wipe another window over the flash ghost.
I'd guess somebody isn't telling flash to stop updating when covered, and it writes to 0,0 instead.
Might be in flash, or might be in Firefox.

For all they wont use a etoken to surf.
Go to extras, options then extendet and go to cryptographic module and unload the etoken. To unload the etoken you must selekt etoken not the name of the token.

Java does not work on my Win 7 IBM-compatible PC using Firefox as my web browser

A typical example of a website I would like to access & view is "www'cut-the-knot.org", a relatively mathematics-related website with a lot a very nice math content, where (roughly estimating) 70-90% of all web pages on the web site use Java applets to communicate that math content.
I CANNOT view the Java applets (am restricted/prevented from doing so) --- on CTK or ANY other website!.
I could go into all the details but, essentially, I have tried just about everything I can think of (or have found to do/try in discussions on the Internet by googling the problem) & nothing seems to have had any positive affect ... I can still not view ANY Java applets on ANY website! :-(
I USED to be able to view Java content on the PC I was working on, although, a few months ago, I migrated from Win XP to Win 7 when MS stopped supported Win XP. I don't know when things changed but, "while I wasn't looking" (&/or paying attention) something DID change. :-(

Java is a seemingly wonderful technology but, if there are such severe security risks that require it be enabled so that no one (I'll assume I'm not the only one unable to view Java applets) can use it, it doesn't have much value to visitors to websites that employ Java to deliver a majority of their content. Part of the problem, obviously, is that (like CTK) MANY websites ALREADY use/employ Java --- & therefore, end-users have almost no access to the content in/on those websites.

Troubleshooting suggestions:
Ensure the page you are linking to exists in the correct folder.
Check your file name for case sensitivity . Index.htm is not the same as index.htm!
Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists
is the problem with
iweb or with hosting?
One Apple tech started to fix Iweb and had to end session and the next said problem with hosting at Network Solutions as it published
to local folder. NWS has checked sttting a few times-
Any help would be extremely appreciated as trying to fix this for about five weeks

Hi all, I am new to here.
I'm doing my final project, which I have to develop a web browser, with some website unaccessable, like porn site.
I have totally no idea on how to do this on my browser (somemore my browser is not running properly). Got people told me that I can store those banned website's URL in a text file, then read from there and compare to the Address bar, if same then block that website.
Is there anyone here expert in develop a web browser with some specified website banned like I mentioned? If yes please please please teach me how to do this, or if have any good example for similiar porblem, please let me know. It's very important to me, THANKS !!!

Hello, I am new to programming and have followed several tutorials on programming a web browser using xcode. So far I have a history menu, a google search, and a url field, and a home button that brings you back to the default homepage. I would now like to implement a bookmarks menu in the menu bar. For the ability to store bookmarks. seeing as how i am new, I have no idea about how to go about doing this. Could someone please either post the code for this feature, or either lead me to a tutorial or give me instruction on how to do this. Than you, any help is greatly appreciated.

I use firefox as my web browser not internet explorer and for some reason itunes says i am not connected to the internet when i am connected.

Firefox is a web browser not a homepage.
It sounds like you you have the old www.google.com/firefox/ start page that used to be the default homepage in Firefox before Firefox 4.0 sometime. It is not being maintained by Google anymore so either ignore the message or while in Firefox go to Tools->Options->General->Homepage section and change your homepage.
