In TestStand 2.0, will a record be lost if an Oracle database server is down? Can it be written to a file to be entered later?
I currently have TestStand 2.0 setup to log information to an Oracle 8i server located on a network. Everything works correctly; however, if I lose the network connection, what happens to the database record that is,or would be, created? Is it lost? Can it be saved to a file and entered into the database at a later date?
TestStand has no built in mechanism for handling a database that is offline. The logging sequence will generate an error if it is unable to write. You could modify the sequence to trap the error, write to a backup file, and then transfer the records when the database is back on line. What we're implementing here is to always write to a local database and an ActiveX component running in the background transfers records to the network database when it is available.

This a synchronous scenario from Sender ECC to Oracle Database.
In Oracle Database, the swiping entry time of employees is stored in format as 03/11/2012 08:10:22 which would be the primary key while making ECC request.
I have to fetch all the records along with other 3 output fields for the date between 03/11/2012 00:00:01 to 04/11/2012 00:00:01.
The Oracle view has following column EMPID,CITY,TIME,DEVICE
1. How would be ECC and JDBC request structure so that the start time and end time are captured?
2.How to map the ECC and Oracle Database request structure where the SQL query would look something below.

3. I tried to fetch the records by putting the WILDCARD in the date input value, I am receiving the response but with no payload.Is there any other design where I can fetch all the records for 03/11/2012 from 0 hours to 24 hours.

Insert Insert XML file into multiple records in Oracle Database
I would like to find out if it is possible to insert a single XML file into multiple records or tuples in a Oracle database table. I have a single XML file which is at multiple levels. The meta data for the levels are common and each level can have meta data of their own in addition. I do not have any meta data field which will uniquely determine whether the data belongs to Root level, Intermediate level or at the document level. Is there any way I can determine which level the meta data belongs to and thereby make a corresponding entry into the database table tuple? For example I could have an attribute called level which is going to be present only in the database table and not in the XML file. If level=1 then it corresponds to "Root" meta data, if level=2 then it corresponds to "Intermediate" level and if level=3 then it corresponds to meta data at document level. I need a way to calculate the value for level from the XML file and thereby insert the meta data element into a tuple in a single table in Oracle.

You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that. iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
If that doesn't help have your phone examined by an apple technician. Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. -
Inserting a record in an Oracle database in Teststand
I am trying to create a new record into an Oracle database table using the insert command in Teststand 2.0. I have been able to do it using LabView. The problem is that the record does not exist as yet. So I don't what I should do in the OPEN SQL statement which creates a select statement. Also, when I try to do the operations the I can only see the columns with the "set and put" condition. "Put" shows me no columns. Using set and put I recieve an error telling me that the record is not updatable.
I am not rying to update a record. I am trying to enter a new record. I do set the new record indication the data operation step.
Is there a good write-up for using TestStand 2.0 step database operations? Is there any gotch-
yous with 2.0 that were corrected in 3.0?I think what you want to use is an INSERT statement rather than a select. See http://www.techonthenet.com/sql/insert.htm for an example. If you create an "Open SQL" step, then edit the SQL statement, you can create a string expression that has includes your parameters.
Example: "INSERT INTO supplier
(supplier_id, supplier_name)
VALUES
(" +Str(MyNumericValue)+ ", '" + MyStringValue+ "');"
Beware of single quotes (SQL string delimiter) versus double quotes (TestStand string delimiter). -
I dropped my mac pro. The disc drive plays but will not record. medium drive error. How hard is it to replace the drive my self. i see screws on the bottom. Could I just order a new internal drive and replace it? Or is it too complicated for the average person? Would be cheaper to buy an external drive than to replace internal one? Any advice is appreciated

That depends on your skill level, if you grew up tearing things apart and putting them together, its absurd how easy it is.
For some however its too daunting. On a general skill level for the "average" person its about a 3 out of 10 in difficulty.

Captivate will not record ALL screen movements
I have been using Camtashia and recently move to another
company where they want to start using Captivate. I just bought
Captiveate and I am getting very aggrevated! Captivate will not
record all my movements with the mouse or when a screen changes. It
appears that everything is driven by an actual mouse click. Only
when I move my mouse around and then click will it actuall record
the "action".
Please tell me there is a way for Captivate to record all
mouse movements, keystrokes, changes in applications just as I see
it when I am actually doing the recording.
I dont need all this fancy highlighting and project wizards,
I just simply want Captivate to record EXACTLY what I do and see
while I am recording.

Was transferring a client's DVD-R into my Adobe PE9 to do some editing requested by client.
The audio from the DVD was coming through clearly on my computer speakers but when I finished tranferring I stopped recording and discovered the video track was fine but there was no audio track.
Tried recording said DVD into some of my other files on PE9 but same thing.
Since posting my cry for help I uninstalled PE9 and reinstalled it.
This appears to have fixed the problem as I am now transferring client's DVD-R once again.
A quick check after a few minutes revealed the audio track is now being recorded with no problems!

I have read your post on how the microphone on your notebook is enabled, but will not record any audio on Skype. I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Are you able to record audio using a different program on your computer? Were you able to record audio from Skype in the past?
In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on Resolving microphone problems (Windows 8). This should help enable the audio-in when using the microphone.
Additionally, I also suggest following this resource on Microphone Troubleshooter to ensure that your Skype software is communicating the audio being transmitted to your audio-in device.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

Msi Afterburner will not record
Hi every one i am hoping some one can help me as i can not seem to get it working, i am trying to record games (watchdogs and bf4) with msi afterburner but i can not get it to record, i have upgraded my afterburner to 3.0.0 but it still wont work.
Also when i try to screen shot it says "screenshot captured" but yet it does not save to the file location i chose in the settings, as far as i can tell it does not save any where as i can not find it, i really don't know what is wrong, i just want to be able to record my game play but it just wont record any thing, i have set it to record when i press F9 and when i press F9 a blinking camera appears on msi afterburner but i cant get it to stop blinking even when i press F9 again the only way to stop it is to close afterburner and no files still save.
My graphics card is a Msi r9 270 gaming on driver 14.4, would upgrading to amd's beta drivers perhaps get it to work.Did you set up your capture file where you want it to be saved for both the screenshots and videos?
I use AB version 2.3.1 and it works just fine.
