Hi, I have:
index.php (with includes from list)
activity.php (a dynamic list as included page)
activity_edit.php (a dynamic form as included page)
I want to use SEO friendly url.
But links from my "List" pointing my "Form" (edit, add new) don't work
Is there a way? Thanks

I have a dynamic PDF Form and we use the E-Mail function to save the XML-Data to local harddrive. That works until Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.2. But with the Adobe Reader XI (11.0.4) the E-Mail Dialog has changed so I am One is forced to send the XML file with Outlook or the internal mailer and has no option to save the file locally.
Does anyone know a workaround or something similar. The Live Cycle server with PDF extension is too expensive for our small project.

Hi Pat,
Are you using Adobe Reader XI? And not Acrobat. It does not ask me to save the form if there are unsaved changes.
I have used previous versions of reader for saving this form data and it did allow me to save it with ctrl+s. And those versions did prompt me to save the changes before closing.
I guess I should not have updated the reader.

I have a requirement to create a custom job application form which will be filled and submitted by anonymous users. I have a an option to create custom user control web part but I wanted to
create it using custom list form using SharePoint designer. My requirement is below
Date of birth (user age should be above 22yrs )
Email Validation
Phone validation
Resume attachment (should attach only word documents or PDF)
Qualification (If other is selected then show textbox else hide)
Can above validations be done using SharePoint designer (JavaScript or validation controls)? Or do I have to create custom control web part?

Hello,
I think jquery/javascript can be used to put validations on those fields. Fortunately some of validation can be done via sharepoint itself like: email, phone, age. For Attachment and Qualification fields use jquery/JS.

Downloads disappear from list immediately and automatically when download completed

Are you using Firefox 3.6 or Firefox 4?? Your "More system details..." link shows that you have turned off storing of history using a Firefox 4 preference (places.history.enabled), but your post says Firefox 3.6.17.
Anyway, the general history setting affects not only site URLs, but also downloads. To treat them separately, go to
Tools > Options > Privacy
and change to Custom history settings. Does that solve it?

Multiple Accounts in 7.0 using Dynamic User Forms and Account Types

Guys/Gals,
We are attempting to implement the new way of handling multiple account types in IDM 7.0 and so far are coming up unsuccessful. We have managed to customize the Dynamic Resource Forms to create standard default AD accounts, however when we attempt to create different account types of AD(i.e type ADMIN account, or TEST account) we have a no go. We've made identity rules for the types of accounts we have, and the form displays the attributes, however when we go to save, the it attemts to update the default account, and not make the new account type. Has anyone implemented these new features? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Were you ever able to implement this? I was told this was the way to handle multiple accounts for a user on a resource, but so far it's not making much sense to me, nor does it seem feasible. I was wondering if you had any success with it.

Insert multiple rows into dB from one dynamic HTML form problem

- I have form which has dynamically generated text fields so I don't want to hard code the field names into the servlet
- A user will fill in one or more of the text boxes with a number and submit to the servlet (the name of the field represents an item ID, the value represents a quantity the user wants of that item).
- The servlet needs to insert a new record into a table for each field that is not null.
My question is how!
If I send as an array or string, how will the servlet know that each submitted field needs to be inserted as a new record as opposed to one long record?
I know I'll need to use a loop of somekind; how will I know how long to loop for if the number of 'not null' fields is not static? I need to get a value for the number of 'not null' fields from the form before the loop starts I think but don't know how...
Also, should I call an SQL procedure that has an insert-loop OR should I have the servlet loop a call to a single insert statement? (am I making sense!?)
Anyway, I've seen many examples where a submitted form updates/inserts one record into a table but never any for multiple records at one time. I'm using a Tomcat/Oracle set up, and I'm "New to Java"...

In any case if you want to retrieve all parameters (and you don't know what they are), you can use a general cosde like this:
Enumeration names= request.getParameterNames();
while(names.hasMoreElements()) {

// in 'value' you store it's value
String value = request.getParameter(name);
remember that ALL parameter values can't be null (if they are void their value is "").
The only case that you can get a null value is when you try to access a non existing parameter (like request.getParameter("pwqjsak"));

Change data in existing "Choose from list" matrix

Hi,
in UI GUI->order form . When add a new order, hit "TAB" to select BP from existing list. I want to use my own sql to populate the BP list (currently the GUI defaults to return all customers).
Is there a way? I mean if I just want to change data in the matrix and let B1 continue to make the "Choose from list" form (form "10001") with my own new customer list. Set BubbleEvent = true will just re-read all cards after I query my result.

I came across the same issue with the Items Choose from List on the Sales Order screen. It is possible to load your own Choose from List form and populate the matrix using recordset objects and userdatasources. The same logic could be applied to the BP Choose from List form. The following code displays the user form and matrix items - separate code is needed to handle the selection process on this form. There maybe a faster way of acheiving this using UDTs etc but it seems to work ok.

Mailing list form, how to make it functional?

I'm trying to add the typical "Join our Mailing List" form into a website where users can submit their email addresses. I've built the form and now I need to make it functional. I don't know a lick of php or databasing, and after investigating it on the web and the forum there seems to be a bunch of different answers and I'm not sure which direction to go in. Is there an easy way to do this with a premade script somewhere? Would I have to get it from the company that's hosting the site? How do I implement it?

Do I have to change the form ID and the name in line 2? And also I'm not sure what you meant about the hidden field, what exactly do I copy and paste and where do I put it? Validate from list behavior ? help needed

Hi,
I have an item whith a lov attached to and the proerty of the lov is validate from list = yes.
But when a create a record and type the begining of the words eg Jean then when i do key-list-val or F9 the lov returns me all the rows and.
And when i press enter in the field then the lov shows with Jean% and show me only the names beginning with Jean.
Why does it only happen when i press enter and not when doing F9?
Should it not be the same behavior ?

When you enters a wrong value into a "Validate from List" Item and hit <ENTER> then validation to make sure that the entered value exists within the List and if it is not there , then the forms engine filters the Shows values as the value entered into the Item as helping you to select from the List cause you have entered ambigious Choise and in case no matched entries it display all the list , but in case you display the LOV normally this means you are trying to select a value then no Pre Serach happened unless you specify (Filter Before Display = true) on the LOV properties ,

Now think about “month_val” and what it means. A month is a temporal unit of measurement, so this is as silly as saying “liter_val” in your code. Why did you use “sp_” on a procedure? It has special meaning in T-SQL.

How do you get your opening page back to album cover status instead if being in a list form

WHen I open up itunes it always showed recently downloaded items in an album form now it got changed to a list form and I cant get it back to the album view does anyone know how to do this.

Choose from list in Matrix

Hey All,
Has anyone been able to get the choose from list in a matrix text field working in SBO 2005 patch level 6? We have tried the tech demo and it works for new rows but not for existing rows. Also we have written our own code to set the matrix text box on the choose from list event and we get a general failure exception even though the value still gets set properly.
If anyone has this working please post so we can all know how to do this properly.

Export/Import xml from dynamic pdf form using java

I have been searching for the last 2-3 days on the internet for this. Some posts do talk about it, but none have provided the answer I was looking for. Hopefully this is the correct forum to post the question in.
I am working on a desktop swing application that works on extracting and changing data in a XFA form, I would like to export the form's content modify it and import it back using java. This is so easy with the Adobe Reader, where it nicley exports the form content as an XML document, you can change it manually and the import the data back. I am searching for a way of doing this in java. I found XPAAJ.jar mentioned in some forums, that may make this easy. I havent been able to use it, since I cant find it anywhere.

This says that XPAAJ is free as long as I use it on forms developed using livecycle. I dont own livecycle, but the forms that I am working has been built using livecycle. So my questions are:

2. Is XPAAJ free to use and distribute as long as it works on pdf forms developed by livecycle?
3. Where can I download XPAAJ from?
4. If XPAAj is no longer available, is there any other free library that does this?
5. If there isn't any free library, how much would cost me to use and distribute the library along with my desktop application?

Hi Sethu;
First, its important to know that xpaaj never was a supported piece of software. It was supplied "as is" with no support from Adobe. It has been pulled and is no longer available from the Adobe web site. Mike's blog is from 2006, so its really old information.

While the xpaaj library will import and export data to/from a form on the client, Adobe now recommends using the LiveCycle ES Forms server.

The license stated that you need to own one of Adobe's server side products (not LiveCycle Designer, but one of the server side LiveCycle products).
3. Where can I download XPAAJ from?
XPAAJ was pulled by Adobe. They found a few bugs and since it was unsupported software they just pulled it from the web site.
4. If XPAAj is no longer available, is there any other free library that does this?
Not from Adobe. Adobe recommends using the LiveCycle ES Forms software for merging data and forms.

As far as I know there Adobe doesn't have a client side library available for this (merging dynamic XDP based forms with data).
