Incoming data from PI 7.0

Hi,
Please let me know if its possible to consume services of PI 7.0 in NW BPM or we need to upgrade to PI 7.1 for this.
TIA,
Arafat

Yes, it's possible. What is your problem?

  • "No Data from Device" error message

    Hi folks!
    I'm importing HD footage from my Sony M10U. I've used the "HDV 1080i60 Easy Setup" for my audio/video settings. I can control the device and even log clips, but I cannot batch capture the clips or "capture now". When I do a batch capture, it plays right through like there's no in or out points. When I do a "capture now" an error message comes up saying "No Data from Device, capture was aborted due to lack of incoming data from device. Check your connections and that the deck is playing."
    I know the deck is playing and that the connections are fine because I can import DV footage. But when I switch to HD, I don't even get a preview in the log and capture window.
    I've read other posts similar to this, but never got a concrete answer. Somebody please help me! I'm working against a deadline! (Like everyone else, right?)
    Thanks in advance you MAC gurus!
    Katie

    Make sure all your settings are correct for capture and playback. Also make sure that the settings on the deck are the same as well. I know I had an issue when my Sony FX1 HDV camera was set to DV, FCP gave a similar error message.

  • How to read data from Linux named pipes using java?

    In linux box I want to get data from a named pipe(created using "mkfifo <filename>".
    How I can read the incoming data from the named pipe?

    there are some caveats though: if i remember correctly, when you reach the end of data in a fifo it will look like end-of-file and that may confuse some classes. So your mileage may vary

  • Incoming IDOC Error "No batch input data from the screen SAPMV45A 4001"

    Hello ,
    The Incoming IDOC with Message type 'ORDERS' is triggering the error message "No batch input data from the screen SAPMV45A 4001" with message no 00344 . There is an SAP note 785000 to handle this type of error message which has been already implemented. Still we are encountering few IDOC error's  at the time of sales order creation. The IDOC reaches status 51 throwing the error which is again reprocessed through BD87 .
    We are unable to replicate the similar scenerio in Development & Testing systems as it works fine.
    Can any one kindly advise how to eliminate the error "No batch input data from the screen SAPMV45A 4001" message at the time of Incoming IDOC processing.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Updating Cube in the End Routine based on the incoming Valid From Date

    Hello Experts
    Here is my scenario.
    We are using BW 7.x.  There is DSO and from DSO it goes to the Cube, the promotions information.  These data targets will have Material (Article), Plant (Site), Promotions Number, Valid from and Valid to dates.  The Valid To date will come in as 12/31/9999 all the time.
    If I receive a new record from ECC with same Material, Plat and Promotion combination again, I need to get the Valid From Date from the new record and Update the existing record' Valid To date in DSO/Cube as Valid From of the new record - 1.
    So Valid To date of the existing record = New Record's Valid From date minus - 1.
    I would like to do the update in "End Routine" of the Cube.
    Would you please suggest if this can be done and if so would you please provide the sample code.
    THANK YOU in Advance.
    Nag.

    yes, you can do this...
    just use a RESULT_PACKAGE in end routine.
    and using RESULT_PACKAGE fatch the existing records from DSO and append that into RESULT_PACKAGE after your desired changes,
    just try to create a code using this l;ogic. if you can't then i will provide you a code.

  • TcpListener not working on Azure: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host

    Hi Everybody,
    i'm playing a little bit with Windows Azure and I'm blocked with a really simple issue (or maybe not).
    I've created a Cloud Service containing one simple Worker Role. I've configured an EndPoint in the WorkerRole configuration, which allows Input connections via tcp on port 10100.
    Here the ServiceDefinition.csdef file content:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <ServiceDefinition name="EmacCloudService" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ServiceHosting/2008/10/ServiceDefinition" schemaVersion="2014-01.2.3">
    <WorkerRole name="TcpListenerWorkerRole" vmsize="Small">
    <Imports>
    <Import moduleName="Diagnostics" />
    <Import moduleName="RemoteAccess" />
    <Import moduleName="RemoteForwarder" />
    </Imports>
    <Endpoints>
    <InputEndpoint name="Endpoint1" protocol="tcp" port="10100" />
    </Endpoints>
    </WorkerRole>
    </ServiceDefinition>
    This WorkerRole is just creating a TcpListener object listening to the configured port (using the RoleEnvironment instance) and waits for an incoming connection. It receives a message and returns a hardcoded message (see code snippet below).
    namespace TcpListenerWorkerRole
    using System;
    using System.Net;
    using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.ServiceRuntime;
    using System.Net.Sockets;
    using System.Text;
    using Roche.Emac.Infrastructure;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Threading.Tasks;
    using Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Diagnostics;
    using System.Linq;
    public class WorkerRole : RoleEntryPoint
    public override void Run()
    // This is a sample worker implementation. Replace with your logic.
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("TcpListenerWorkerRole entry point called");
    TcpListener listener = null;
    try
    listener = new TcpListener(RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint1"].IPEndpoint);
    listener.ExclusiveAddressUse = false;
    listener.Start();
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info(string.Format("TcpListener started at '{0}:{1}'", RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint1"].IPEndpoint.Address, RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint1"].IPEndpoint.Port));
    catch (SocketException ex)
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while creating the TcpListener", ex);
    return;
    while (true)
    Task.Run(async () =>
    TcpClient client = await listener.AcceptTcpClientAsync();
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info(string.Format("Client connected. Address='{0}'", client.Client.RemoteEndPoint.ToString()));
    NetworkStream networkStream = client.GetStream();
    StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(networkStream);
    StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(networkStream);
    writer.AutoFlush = true;
    string input = string.Empty;
    while (true)
    try
    char[] receivedChars = new char[client.ReceiveBufferSize];
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("Buffer size: " + client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    int readedChars = reader.Read(receivedChars, 0, client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    char[] validChars = new char[readedChars];
    Array.ConstrainedCopy(receivedChars, 0, validChars, 0, readedChars);
    input = new string(validChars);
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("This is what the host sent to you: " + input+". Readed chars=" + readedChars);
    try
    string orderResultFormat = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\xB")) + @"MSH|^~\&|Instrument|Laboratory|LIS|LIS Facility|20120427123212+0100||ORL^O34^ORL_O34| 11|P|2.5.1||||||UNICODE UTF-8|||LAB-28^IHE" + Environment.NewLine + "MSA|AA|10" + Environment.NewLine + @"PID|||patientId||""""||19700101|M" + Environment.NewLine + "SPM|1|sampleId&ROCHE||ORH^^HL70487|||||||P^^HL70369" + Environment.NewLine + "SAC|||sampleId" + Environment.NewLine + "ORC|OK|orderId|||SC||||20120427123212" + Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\x1c\x0d"));
    writer.Write(orderResultFormat);

    client.Close();
    break;
    catch (Exception ex)
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while Reading the request", ex);
    client.Close();
    break;
    }).Wait();
    public override bool OnStart()
    // Set the maximum number of concurrent connections
    ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit = 12;
    DiagnosticMonitor.Start("Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Plugins.Diagnostics.ConnectionString");
    RoleEnvironment.Changing += RoleEnvironment_Changing;
    return base.OnStart();
    private void RoleEnvironment_Changing(object sender, RoleEnvironmentChangingEventArgs e)
    // If a configuration setting is changing
    LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("RoleEnvironment is changing....");
    if (e.Changes.Any(change => change is RoleEnvironmentConfigurationSettingChange))
    // Set e.Cancel to true to restart this role instance
    e.Cancel = true;
    As you can see, nothing special is being done. I've used the RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints to retrieve the current IPEndpoint.
    Running the Cloud Service in the Windows Azure Compute Emulator everything works fine, but when I deploy it in Azure, then I receive the following Exception:

    I've already tried to configure an internal port in the ServiceDefinition.csdef file, but I get the same exception there.
    As you can see, the client can connect to the service (the log shows the message: Client connected with the address) but when it tries to read the bytes from the stream, it throws the exception.
    For me it seems like Azure is preventing the retrieval of the message. I've tried to disable the Firewall in the VM in Azure and the same continues happening.
    I'm using Windows Azure SDK 2.3
    Any help will be very very welcome!
    Thanks in advance!

    hi Javier,
    I changed your code like this:
    private AutoResetEvent connectionWaitHandle = new AutoResetEvent(false);
    public override void Run()
    TcpListener listener = null;
    try
    listener = new TcpListener(
    RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["Endpoint"].IPEndpoint);
    listener.ExclusiveAddressUse = false;
    listener.Start();
    catch (SocketException se)
    return;
    while (true)
    IAsyncResult result = listener.BeginAcceptTcpClient(HandleAsyncConnection, listener);
    connectionWaitHandle.WaitOne();
    The HandleAsync method is your "While (true)" code:
    private void HandleAsyncConnection(IAsyncResult result)
    TcpListener listener = (TcpListener)result.AsyncState;
    TcpClient client = listener.EndAcceptTcpClient(result);
    connectionWaitHandle.Set();
    NetworkStream netStream = client.GetStream();
    StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(netStream);
    StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(netStream);
    writer.AutoFlush = true;
    string input = string.Empty;
    try
    char[] receivedChars = new char[client.ReceiveBufferSize];
    // LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("Buffer size: " + client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    int readedChars = reader.Read(receivedChars, 0, client.ReceiveBufferSize);
    char[] validChars = new char[readedChars];
    Array.ConstrainedCopy(receivedChars, 0, validChars, 0, readedChars);
    input = new string(validChars);
    // LoggingProvider.Logger.Info("This is what the host sent to you: " + input + ". Readed chars=" + readedChars);
    try
    string orderResultFormat = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\xB")) + @"MSH|^~\&|Instrument|Laboratory|LIS|LIS Facility|20120427123212+0100||ORL^O34^ORL_O34| 11|P|2.5.1||||||UNICODE UTF-8|||LAB-28^IHE" + Environment.NewLine + "MSA|AA|10" + Environment.NewLine + @"PID|||patientId||""""||19700101|M" + Environment.NewLine + "SPM|1|sampleId&ROCHE||ORH^^HL70487|||||||P^^HL70369" + Environment.NewLine + "SAC|||sampleId" + Environment.NewLine + "ORC|OK|orderId|||SC||||20120427123212" + Encoding.ASCII.GetString(Encoding.ASCII.GetBytes("\x1c\x0d"));
    writer.Write(orderResultFormat);
    catch (Exception e)
    // LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while writting the response", e);
    client.Close();
    catch (Exception ex)
    //LoggingProvider.Logger.Exception("Unexpected exception while Reading the request", ex);
    client.Close();
    Please try it. For this error message, I suggest you could refer to this thread (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6173763/using-windows-azure-to-use-as-a-tcp-server

  • How to get/process the Data from XMLSocket?

    Hello All,
    I'm using Adobe Professional CS6, and Actionscript 3.0.
    To start with I have a C# program that basically just feeds data out from a Server in the form of XML data. I then have a Flash program that should receive the data and then I'll do some stuff with it. We had this working in Actionscript 1.0 but we need to upgrade the code to Actionscript 3.0, but instead of just trying to convert stuff over to the new  Actionscript version, I'm going to re-write the program.
    So far I've basically just defined some EventListeners most of which I found examples of online for using XMLSockets. As of now the Flash program will connect an XMLSocket to the Server that is feeding out the data, and the server feeding the data resends new data every 5-10 seconds or so.
    So when a grouping of XML Data comes in on the port I defined, the following Function gets executed for handling the incoming data. For my EventListener's Function for "socket.addEventListener(DataEvent.DATA, dataHandler);"  ("socket" is defined as --> var socket = new XMLSocket(); ). So when the new data comes in it executes the above function.
    The trouble I'm having is declaring a new variable of type "XML" and then using that variable to pull out individual "nodes/children" from the incoming XML Data. I found an example online that was very close to what I want to do except instead of using an XMLSocket to get data constantly streaming in they use the "URLLoader" function to get the XML data. I know I'm receiving the XML data onto the server because if I set the (e: DataEvent) variable defined in the function "head" to a string and then run a trace on that I can see ALL of the XML data in the "Output Window".
    But I can't seem to be able to set (e: DataEvent) to a XML variable so I can access individual elements of the XML data. The example I found (which uses the URLLoader instead) uses this line (myXML = new XML(e.target.data);)  to set the XML Variable, which won't work for mine, and if I try to do the same thing in my code it simply prints this for as many lines as there is XML data --> "[object XMLSocket]"
    MY CODE:
    *I left out the other Functions that are in my code for the EventListeners you'll see defined below, except for the one in question:
                             ---> "function dataHandler(e: DataEvent):void"
    import flash.events.IOErrorEvent;
    import flash.events.ProgressEvent;
    import flash.events.SecurityErrorEvent;
    import flash.events.DataEvent;
    var socket = new XMLSocket();
    socket.addEventListener(Event.CONNECT, connectHandler);
    socket.addEventListener(Event.CLOSE, closeHandler);
    socket.addEventListener(DataEvent.DATA, dataHandler);
    socket.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, ioErrorHandler);
    socket.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, progressHandler);
    socket.addEventListener(SecurityErrorEvent.SECURITY_ERROR, securityErrorHandler);
    var success = socket.connect('server.domain.name.local',3004);
    The code in this function was used from an example I found online as described above in the post:
              LINK --> http://www.republicofcode.com/tutorials/flash/as3xml/
    // The Commented out code (*in blue) will show ALL the xml data inside the "Output Window":
    function dataHandler(e: DataEvent):void {
              // var myStr:String = e.data;
              var xml:XML;
              xml = new XML(e.target.data);  //<--- THIS DOESN"T WORK (I DONT THINK 'target' IS CORRECT HERE)??
              if (socket.connected)
                        // trace(myStr)
                        trace(xml);
    The Output from the line "trace(xml)" will show this data below in the "Output Window" (*FYI There should be 6 lines of XML Data on each 'update'):
    [object XMLSocket]
    [object XMLSocket]
    [object XMLSocket]
    [object XMLSocket]
    [object XMLSocket]
    [object XMLSocket]
    Could someone show or point me in the right direction on this. I want to be able to access specific parts of the incoming XML Data.
    Here's some sample XML Data:
    <MESSAGE VAR="screen2Display" TEXT="CSQ_1" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_agentsReady" TEXT="111" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_unavailableAgents" TEXT="222" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_talkingAgents" TEXT="333" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_callsHandled" TEXT="444" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_ABDRate" TEXT="555" />
    Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..!
    FYI:
    I'm VERY new to Actionscript/Flash Developing (*about a week now), so go easy on me haha...
    Thanks in Advance,
    Matt

    Hey Guys, thanks ALOT for the replies!!
    Andrei1 and Sinious,
    The code I show above is actually just what I found in an example online, and its what i was trying to show you what "they" used
    in the URLLoader example. I wasn't trying to use URLLoader, but it was the closest example I found online to  what I was trying to
    do in terms of processing the XML Data, and not how I read it in. So XMLSocket IS definetly what I'm trying to use because the Server
    I'm receiving the XML Data from "pushes" it out every 10 seconds or so. So yea I definatly want to use XMLSocket and not URLLoader...
    Sorry for the confusion...
    The example you show:
         var xml:XML = new XML(e.data)
    Is actually what I had in my original code but I couldn't get it to show anything in the "Output Window" using the trace() method on
    it, so I assumed I wasn't doing it correctly...
    What my original code was in the "dataHandler()" Function was this:
    function dataHandler(e: DataEvent): void
        var xml: XML = XML(e.data);
        if (socket.connected)
            trace(xml);
            msgArea.htmlText += "*socket.connected = TRUE\n"
        } else {
            msgArea.htmlText += "*socket.connected = FALSE\n"
    OUTPUT:
    And what I get when I run a Debug on it is, in the "msgArea", which is just a simple Text Box w/ Dynamic Text on the main frame it prints:
        "socket.connected = TRUE
         socket.connected = TRUE
         socket.connected = TRUE
         socket.connected = TRUE
         socket.connected = TRUE
         socket.connected = TRUE"
    It prints that message 6 times in the msgArea for each XML Message that comes in (*which I think 6 times because there
    are 6 "sections/nodes" in the XML Data). But then NOTHING prints in the "Output Window" for the "trace(xml)" command.
    Not sure why nothing is showing in the "Output Window", maybe the XML is not complete? But I could see data in the "Output
    Window" when I set "e.data" to a string variable, so I know the Data is reaching the program. Since I could see the XML Data in
    a string variable, does that mean I can rule out that the XML Data coming in is considered a "complete" XML Document?
    Because I wasn't sure if to be considered a complete XML Document it would need to have this included in the message..?
                        "<?xml version="1.0"?>"
    For the tests I'm running, one single XML message which is being pushed out from the server looks like this:
    <MESSAGE VAR="screen2Display" TEXT="Call_Queue_1" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_agentsReady" TEXT="111" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_unavailableAgents" TEXT="222" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_talkingAgents" TEXT="333" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_callsHandled" TEXT="444" />
    <MESSAGE VAR="F1_ABDRate" TEXT="555" />
    Would I need to include that "Header" in the XML message above?
                   i.e. "<?xml version="1.0"?>"
    Or do I need to be more specific in the trace command instead of just using "trace(xml)"?
    Also yes, I already have a Flash Policy file setup and working correctly.
    Anyway, thanks again guys for the replies, very much appreciated!!
    Thanks Again,
    Matt

  • How to pre-allocate a ByteBuffer object to read data from a Socket

    Hi,
    So far every example on ByteBuffer allocation has shown something like this
    ByteBuffer buffer=ByteBuffer.allocate(1024);
    Im stuck because i dont know how much data will arrive on the socket. Is there anyway I can find out how much data is present on a socket before allocating the ByteBuffer? And if not, what can i do to ensure that I dont lose any of the data that is present on the socket and cant be read because the buffers limit may be too small.
    Thanks,
    Parth

    Hi,
    Bytebuffer is just buffer so make it big enough to handle traffic.. How big it must be depends on your applicaiotn and trasfered data amount..
    Following code shows an example which uses byte array as buffer... Following code is 1.2.x and above compatible using byte array instead ByteBuffer..
    Vector mainbuffer = new Vector(10,1);
    byte [] tempbuffer=new byte[5000]; // 5Kb buffer
    // STKInBufStr is bufferedinputstream to read data till end of stream ..
    // readcount show amount of data readed.. which means data amount in buffer. Data is written to buffer from start point -0,- 5000 is max read aomunt.
    // once read 5000 byte then it will return to while loop and create a temporary string and add it to manibuffer and menawhile coming data is not lost.. this loop will catch all incoming dta and buffer in mainfbuffer vector Roughly speaking bigger the buffer better te performance. Remeber code will wait to read 5000 byte of data to return to while loop. 5000 only means max amount of data it can handle in every read attempt.. if just read 2 byte it will return this 2 byte to loop
    while ( (readcount=STKInBufStr.read(tempbuffer,0,5000)) !=-1)
    String tmp = new String(readbuffer).substring(0,readcount);
    manibuffer.add(tmp);
    This loop will catch all incoming data and add to mainbuffer vector..

  • Transfert data from Webdynpro to SAP R/3

    Hi all,
    Here is my need and my problem :
    - I have retrieved from R/3 some data from an InfoType
    - Those data are retrieved in Webdynpro and displayed in a table.
    - I' like to allow the user to modify a data in the portal then click on a "Change data" button
    - All data modified should be stored in the same infotype than  the data I retrieved.
    I have replace the cells I want modify in my table with an "Input field". Their are well bind and the data incoming are well displayed.
    I have some part of coding but in an example I found but the data are stored in a table and not in an Infotype so that's not exactly the same.
    Does anyone has an idea? A documentation link?
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards
    Matthieu

    Matthieu,
    I believe, you maintained a context node (table node say Vn_Table) and attributes within to bind to the display table on the screen and not bound the display table direcly to the Model Node(say Mn_<YourModelName>.
    If you want to retain both the new date and the old date for every entry in the table so that you later apply the comparision between them and then display the appropriate on the screen on click of Change Button, then better maintain two atributes say Va_AttrOld and Va_AttrDsp of same datatype date under the table node(Vn_Table) bound to the display table on the screen.
    Bind the input field for date in the table with the Va_AttrDsp attribute only under Table Node. So, what so ever changes you make on the screen will be retained in this Va_AttrDsp. Now, when you execute the Bapi to get the table populated for the first time set both the attributes of the table with the value of date coming from the Model Node. So, the first time input field will display the old date.
    On Action of Change button, apply comparision and if Old Value need not to be updated then overwrite the Va_AttrNew with Va_AttrOld value else do not change.
    This way you will never lose the old date.
    All the best.

  • How to fill the table UD_SAPHR with data from SAP HR Connector

    Hi, I`ve searched all the forrum but didn`t find how to map fields from connector form to the any field in OIM. I tryied with entity adapters but failed to reach any result. The problem is that I even cant put incoming data with connector to the table of the connector form (UD_SAPHR).
    I will be grateful for any help. Below is the cut of the log. In few words - how to map, for example, field "Department=40000260" to the field in the USR table or UD_SAPHR table (or any other - to have this information in OIM).

  • To pull data from avarchar field into a date field in another table

    Hi
    I pulled some records into a table from a remote server by means of a database link and one of the field which is varchar(30) needs to be pulled into other database which has a date column.
    so the varchar field needs to be converted into the date column so that the data can be loaded into that table.

    Now, we are talking. See, all you had to give us was the error first. Anyway, I think your 'format' coming in is different from the date 'format' you are using to do the 'to_date' function.
    Anyway, please show us what the incoming data looks like and we might be able to suggest what is the 'to_date' format you have to use (for eg: 'yyyy-mm-dd' or 'yyyy mm dd HH:mi:ssss').

  • Encoding problem while reading binary data from MQ-series

    Dear all,
    we are running on 7.0 and we have an encoding problem while reading binary data from MQ-series. Because we are getting flat strings from queue we use module "Plain2ML" (MessageTransformBean) for wrapping xml-elements around the incoming data.
    The MQ-Series-Server is using CCSID 850, which we configured in connection parameters in communication channel (both parameters for Queuemanager CCSID and also CCSID of target).If there are special characters in the message (which HEX-values differ from codepage to codepage) we get errors in our adapter while executing, please see stack-trace for further analysis below.
    It seems to us that
    1. method ByteToCharUTF8.convert() expects UTF-8 in binary data
    2. Both CCSID parameters are not used anyway in JMS-adapter
    How can we solve this problem without changing anything on MQ-site?
    Here is the stack-trace:

    Kind regards, Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
    for the first MTB now we are using only one parameter: Transform.ContentType = text/plain;charset="ISO-8859-1"
    The second MTB, which does the XML-Wrapping, is configured like this:
    Transform.Class = com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    Transform.ContentType = application/xml
    xml.conversionType = SimplePlain2XML
    xml.fieldNames = value
    xml.fieldSeparator = §%zulu§%
    xml.processFieldNames = fromConfiguration
    xml.structureTitle = payload
    Both CCSID configuration parameters from the "Source"-Tab we've set to 850.
    Now, we don't get an error anymore - sun.io.malformedInputException - , but, unfortunately, now special character conversion succeeded (we need an "ß" and we get an ISO-HEX-E1 -> á).  E1 is (different from ISO) an "ß" in 850.
    Any ideas?

  • SSRS report is consuming much more time to fetch data from DB even direct run SP takes less than a second

    Hi,
    we are using SQL SERVER 2008R2 X64 RTM version.
    One of the SSRS report designed by developer  is  consuming  much more time( 5 to 6 minutes ) to fetch data from DB. Even direct run of  Stored Procedure (Called in report )takes less than a second to display the result set.
    Please help.
    Regards Naveen MSSQL DBA

    Hi Naveen,
    Based on my understanding, you spend a little time retrieving data with a stored procedure from database in dataset designer. However, it takes long time to run the report to display the data, right?
    In Reporting Services, the total time to generate a report include TimeDataRetreval, TimeProcessing and TimeRendering. In your scenario, since you mentioned retrieving data costs a little time, you should check the table
    Executionlog3 in the ReportServer database to find which section costs most of time, TimeProcessing or TimeRendering. Then you can refer to this article to optimize your report:
    Troubleshooting Reports: Report Performance.
    Besides, if parameters exist in the report, you should declare variables inside of the stored procedure and assign the incoming parameters to the variables. For more information, please refer to the similar thread:
    Fast query runs slow in SSRS.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • Oracle B2B 11g question about pulling data from remote TP sftp server

    Hi,
    We would like replace our custom b2b solution with oracle b2b, but without resulting much changes in remote TP side. To do that the following issues are to be resolved.
    1) in the existing custom b2b, host tp is pulling data from remote TP location. How does oracle b2b pull data from remote location using sftp(AS1 1.1)? Oracle document says that by using global listening channel, we can make oracle b2b listen to the sftp server? Is that correct? Is there any sample about how to configure and test it.
    2) For outbound file we would like to preserve the file name. If you use sftp for sending the file out, is it possible to preserve the filename?
    3) Some incoming files which are datafiles , does not have any identification pattern. Is there any other way to identify the document type? For example from which location we are pulling the file can tell us the document type.

Oracle document says that by using global listening channel, we can make oracle b2b listen to the sftp server? Is that correct? Is there any sample about how to configure and test it. I am not sure what do you mean by AS1 1.1 but yes, SFTP is supported in Oracle B2B and if you want to poll a SFTP location, then you need to create a listening channel in Oracle B2B. For creating a listening channel, please refer -
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/integration.1111/e10229/bb_listen_chan.htm#BAJJICJJ
    2) For outbound file we would like to preserve the file name. If you use sftp for sending the file out, is it possible to preserve the filename?Yes, it is possible. There is a setting "Preserve Filename" in transport protocol parameter of a SFTP channel which should be enabled for this purpose.
    3) Some incoming files which are datafiles , does not have any identification pattern. Is there any other way to identify the document type? For example from which location we are pulling the file can tell us the document type. In case of FTP/FILE/SFTP, file name can be used to pass document type and revision information to Oracle B2B. Please refer "Filename format" setting on the above mentioned link.
    I figured it out from another thread about how to pull the file. I configured the listening channel so that it reads from a remote server using sftpo protocol. And I have given the filename format as %FROM_PARTY%.dat. I am putting a file like TESTBC.dat. TESTBC is the name of the remote TP. B2B is reading the file but, recognizes the document tupe, but says that FromTP null. What is the solution?
    Make sure that TP name is same as what you are giving in filename (cross-check for spelling). You may also try with default naming convention (do not mention anything in Filename format in listening channel configuration) - %FROM_PARTY%_%TIMESTAMP%.dat
    for eg -
    Acme_12345.dat
