Incoming email setting link missing in CA

My incoming email setting link is missing in CA. I read that you should run IE as an administrator By right-clicking the icon. But for me there is not such a choice, only "as different user".

Verify that the your account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Administrators group on the server that is running the SharePoint Central Administration website. Or use Administrator account to log in.
In Central Administration, click System Settings.
On the System Settings page, in the E-Mail and Text Messages (SMS) section, click Configure incoming e-mail settings.
If you want to enable sites on this server to receive email, on the Configure Incoming E-Mail Settings page, in the Enable Incoming E-Mail section, click Yes.

  • Incoming email setting for Calendar not working

    Hello -
I want to be able to send a meeting request from Outlook and have it show up on my SharePoint calendar.
I followed the steps in this link to configure email for a 2013 farm:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262947.aspx
Basically I installed the SMTP server on my SP web server and configured the relay to accept all.     In Central admin, I enabled incoming email using Automatic mode. and set it to accept mail from all e-mail servers.
My SharePoint site is http://sharepointdev.   SharePoint server is SPDEV1.     Maybe I am not setting my email server display address correctly?  I have that set up as <mylist>@sharepointdev1.com   (I don't
think it matters what you call it here).
I have also verified that under the Calendar list setting, under Communications > Incoming email settings, it is allowed to accept incoming email.  The email to use is <[email protected]
When I send the meeting invite, I get an outlook undeliverable on the above email.  Details are:
Remote Server returned '550 5.7.0 Proxy session setup failed on Frontend with '554 5.4.4 SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain; nonexistent domain''
I must be missing a step somewhere.   Any other suggestions?   I've tried everything in the links below.  thanks

    Hi XRS,
Based on the error message, the email could not be routed correctly.
What environment did you send email to SharePoint list? Is it an internal environment or external external environment?
If it is internal environment, you need to make sure the domain is same with email address’s domain, and SharePoint server can parse the domain.
If it is external environment, the email address’s domain need to be a public domain, SharePoint server must have public IP and the domain for SharePoint server must have correct MX record to ensure email can be routed correctly

  • Incoming Email Setting - On collaboration of two farm

    Hi All,
I have two farm (say A & B ) where MOSS 2007 is installed and incoming email is configured as well. Now i thought of merging this two farm to my third farm (say C).
Merging can be done using database detach attach method.
Search /Excel Service Application configuration also doesnt give pain.
On coming to incoming mail setting, When i merge A & B farm to farm C. How will be the incoming mail configured document library will behave ?.
Is there any option to update the entire domain address of the incoming mail configured document libraries.
Any help would be much apprecicated

When you merge farms, the document libraries will inherit the domain configured by the Incoming Mail Settings in Central Administration (since you can only have a single domain for an entire farm).

  • Income email set up using company domain name

Ive just jumped ship from PC to Mac (lion) and im trying to set up my email account. My company has its own domain name which appears to be the problem and although outgoing mail is working ok (o2 broadband) i just cant configure incoming. Ive used the same Pop3 and SMPT info as on the PC but it just dosnt like it. This must be a common problem but i dont seem to be able to find any threads that explain, im also surprised that Apple didnt explain when i purchased the unit as they had my email address which clearly shows the domain name?
So i would be obliged to know if anyone has a solution?
    Many thanks
    Kind regards
    Lusso

I had the same problem and discovered that I had to migrate to the new ATT email service powered by Yahoo.  I had received notices each time I went into by bellsouth email account that I needed to migrate by following a procedure provided and was asked whether I wanted to do that "now" or "later".  I always chose "later".  Then Saturday, when I got my Pre, I had the same problems you had and even wnet back to the Sprint store and the Palm rep could not figure it out.
So, I returned home and decided to migrate to the new ATT email platform.  After that, I used the Pre email setup routine and had no problem.  I now receive by bellsouth email on the Pre and can send replies to email I receive.  I have not tried to send new email directly from my Pre yet.

  • Email verification link missing

I have just created a new Apple ID on my iPhone, but when I open the
verification email, there is no link?? I've resent the email dozens of times, but no success. Frustrated is an understatement

Same problem as above - we tried
    1) forwarding from our webmail did not reveal the magic link
    2) forwarding as an attachment did not reveal the magic link
    3) opened the webmail in several different browsers without revealing it
    3) finally accessing the same webmail on our iphone allowed us to click the same "verify now" words and get it to work!!!
I don't know why we were not using the ipad itself to verify the email but were instead using our laptop. It occurred to us that maybe had we used the ipad itself to verify the link, maybe we would not have had the problem.
Took us several hours and had to post just in case this helps someone else.

  • Incoming email settings for a dropoff library & content organizer rules in SharePoint 2013

I have configured an incoming email setting for a drop off library,I need to save original email also.Following are the issues:
1)Two attachments are getting uploaded for an email , Email(.eml file) as well as the attached file .I just want to save the email part as it is already containing the  attachment
2)In Mozilla i can see the popup for for opening the .eml file while in IE it is directly opening in browser ,is it possible to show popup in IE?
3)I want to write content organizer rules depending upon the email subject, but i m not able to find that column

1)Two attachments are getting uploaded for an email , Email as well as the attachment.I just want to save the email part as it is already containing attachment
Inder: When you set the incoming email, you get option to save only email and not attachment. check the incoming email settings on that library.
2)In Mozilla I can see the following popup when i click on the email,I want to have this functionality on internet explorer.
Inder : You can do that
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/sharepoint-server-help/change-how-to-open-a-document-in-a-library-with-one-click-HA101729873.aspx
    Also enable below feature
lick the gear icon to open Settings, and then click Site settings.
    Click Site collection features.
Note If the Site collection features option isn't present, you must first click
Go to top level site settings.
Locate the Open Documents in Client Applications by Default feature in the list, and then click
    Activate.
3)I want to write content organizer rules depending upon the email subject, but i m not able to find that column
I assume, Email subject should by default become title of that document. Try title

  • How Receiving Incoming Email works?

Hi I would like to know how receiving incoming email works?  SharePoint supports incoming emails for library/calendar
    list/discussion
    board/announcements
list   I did whole setup to receive incoming emails but what i am not still clear is , do I need to request separate email ID in AD for each type of list/library/discussion board??  I learnt we need to specify drop folder name while SMTP
configuration from there all .EML msgs will be routed to respective library/list, but my question is how that get routed.  I know there is "SP incoming receiving emil" timer job which runs every minute or so and picksup .eml msg but how does
it route to respective library/list.  Will it be possible to have single incoming receiving emaild ID for all resources OR do I need to have one-one mapping of email ID for each library/list.  Please let me know if you aware or any article or guide.
In summary , For example if i have 10 lists to enable to receive incoming emails then do i need to have 10 email IDs created in AD&Exchange or can it be done using single emailID in AD but manipulate it either domain level or exchange level.
Perhaps I could think some segratation based on some metadata but user may not fallow the same while they send email. ( user could send mails with subject , w/o subject...otherwise i was thinking some email template as alternative but the solution i am more
interested in , will it be possible to segrate emails based exchange settings or AD settings while having single email ID for all .

    Hello,
You don't need to create emails for each lists . You have required only one email id and by using that you can configure Incoming email setting in Sharepoint.
For the same you can follow below steps .
    1) Open Sharepoint Central Administration.
    2) Navigate to to System Sttings ->Configure incoming e-mail settings.
    and do the below settings
Enable sites on this server to receive e-mail? -> Yes
    Settings mode: -> Automatic
Use the SharePoint Directory Management Service to create distribution groups and contacts? -> No
E-mail server display address: -> youremailserver.domain.com, this is the default
Safe E-Mail Servers -> Accept mail from all e-mail servers
I hope this will help you to resolve your problem .

  • Incoming Email settings is not visible for SharePoint SkyDrive.

Incoming Email settings is not visible for SharePoint SkyDrive. Is this the expected behaviour or is there any workaround to resolve this?

    Hi,
I have tested the issue in my environment, there is no incoming email setting in my OneDrive library setting. It seems like it is by design.

  • How to configure incoming email to SharePoint List? Facing problem please help.

    Hi,
I am beginner in SharePoint 2013 Administration. I am working with Migrated system from MOSS 2007 to sharePoint 2013.
I am facing issue with SharePoint 2013 List incoming email setting. It was working in MOSS 2007 system.
    I did:
Whenever I am trying to specify list (incoming) email id and submit it. I am getting following error.
"Unable to assign this e-mail address to the list, because the address is in use."
When Users are sending email to list they are getting "Undelivery" notification.
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Rajat

    Hi Rajat,
There might be below options you can try to resolve the issue.
    1. There is a bug that sometimes causes this issue. If you update the description of the list and try again, it may resolve your problem.
    2. If you have SharePoint setup to create contacts in AD, have you verified there is not a lingering AD contact with the e-mail address? If so, you may need to delete it so the address is available in AD.
Also please check whether other document library is using the same email id for incoming email setting or not.
see below thread for more on this.

  • Custom DocLib Listdefinition (ListType 10000) show no Custom Action to configure incoming email

    Hi,
I need to add a custom listdefinition based on a Document Library which has a listtype like 10000. Libraries created with this listdefinition do not show the custom action to configure incoming email (settings > incoming email).
I heard that this custom action only shows with libraries created with listtype 101. How can I add this custom action to my custom document library.
    Thanks
    Cheers
    Sven

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to show the incoming email settings in your custom document library.
SharePoint only shows Incoming Email settings link for OOTB lists of type Announcements, Event, Document Library, Picture Library, XML Form, Discussion Board, Posts.
So, if you create a custom list, you need to create a custom email event handler and attach to your list and then Incoming Email settings link will be available.
Here is a detailed thread with the solution for your reference:

  • CRM 5.0 ERMS - Setting Priority, Due Date etc of Incoming Email

    Hi Gurus
    We've moved our incoming e-mail processing from a Non-ERMS set-up to an ERMS set-up.
Previously we were able to assign the Priority & Due Date for Incoming Emails in Transaction.
SPRO -> IMG -> Customer Relationship Management -> Interaction Center Webclient -> Agent Inbox -> Settings for Asynchronous Inbound Processing ->
    Define Receiving E-mail/Fax Settings
Now with E-mails coming through via ERMS we have the following issues:
Priority is set to Medium when we require High
Due Date is set to 31/12/2099 when we require 24 hours from arrival into ERMS
Responsible Group is Blank when it should be the assigned Org Unit.
Is this something that is controlled throught the Rule Modeler, if so how?
Maximum points for the correct answer here.
    Many Thanks in advance
    Panduranga

    Hi,
Yes you have to do settings in rule modeler, please go through the following link for ERMS and rule modeler and if you are still not able to solve let me know.

  • Unable to set up incoming email settings in Discussion Board

I was not able to set up the incoming email settings in my test discussion board list.
even though my Exchange Server team has done the setup the Exchange related things in my SP 2013 server, I was not able to see any emails flowing into discussion board.
Due to soem reason, Emails  not sending to discussion boards.
    Am i missing any steps?
I have attched the below screen shot, which shows what i have done in the list settings:
Is anyone has faced this issue before?

    Hi  ,
According to your description, my understanding is that the discussion board cannot receive emails after you set up the incoming email settings in the discussion board list.
Could you find the email in the  drop folder?
If not , please make sure you have configured the incoming email settings correctly:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/harmeetw/archive/2012/12/29/sharepoint-2013-configure-incoming-emails-with-exchange-server-2013.aspx
    http://daniecsp.blogspot.com/2013/02/sp20132010-how-to-configure-incoming.html
If you can, what is the x-sender’s address   in the email which is captured into the drop folder ?

  • I have sent in a question but don't think I worded it right. I have 3 email accounts. The all work fine. My problem is that I set up a "notication" the same way on all 3 but incoming emails are only notifed to me (alerts) on one of them.

How do I get notifications of incoming mail? I have set this up on 3 accounts and the "beep" only works on incoming email for one of the 3 accounts. The emails come in fine but I have to open up the phone to see if I have any messages.
