Indesign going wrong when inserting a page

HI, this is an unusual issue I have never encounters.
I have A4 pages set up as facing in landscape mode and have created a document. However I have decided I need to insert a page towards the top of the document, when I do so all the master page elements of the right hand spread move over by around one third of the page.
I cannot fathom why its doing this, if I remove the page or add two it corrects itself. There is no text wraps or anythign strange in the masters, just two simple images and page numbers etc.
Any ideas? I tried reapplying the right hand master but it says its a custom page size and I can either apply the new size or sticvk with the current.
This document was orginally in portrait but changed to landscape which I suspect is involved, but I don't understand that even though the master page is clearly a landscape it thinks its a portait?

This will sound dumnb I know but basically I only reused this portait document because for the life of me I cannot remember how I organised the page titles to work.
But anyway I opened the document which is just the single page. then went to document set up and rotated it and everything seemed fine only its not

Indesign CS5 crashing when inserting blank pages

I wonder if anyone else is having this following problem with Indesign CS5?
The program frequently crashes when inserting blank pages, especially several. I've noticed that this problem has something to do with amount of colums in the masterpage.
Recently I had this problem when layouting a book with 9 colums per page. After converting them to guides the problem dissapeared. When using multiple column masterpages it's usually ok to insert 2 new pages a time. More than this the program crashes.
Do I have to install the program again?

These get lost on synchronisation or sometimes end up on a totally different day/date. What can I do as it is very annoying.
Also it altered some theatre dates where I had entered both date and name of play - the name of the play vanished when I synchronised not just on i-pad but it deleted the info from Outlook as well.

Others have the same complaint. iCal on the iPad can do recurring appointments, but not in the format you want (First Tuesday of every Month). It will do the same DATE each month (e.g, the 25th of each month), but for now it does not do a particular DAY of each month.

InDesign CS5 Crashes when inserting pages

I'm using InDesign CS5 here, and it is crashing almost every time when I try to create a new page. Either by the pages panel, or the layout menu. I doesn't matter if I try to inser a singe page or multiple pages or if it's in the middle or the end of the document.
The only pattern I noticed here is that when I create a new file it works fine for a while, but then when it starts crashing and I can't get it to work on the same file ever again.
All the files were originally created in CS5, and there is not much more than 20 pages in each file.
I already tried to create new files and copy the content from the old ones, and it still ends up crashing after a while.
My setup:
Windows Vista Business 64 bits SP2
Core Quad Q6600 @2400
4gb memory
GeForce 8500 GT

Has anyone else seen improvement after the update? (I got the 7.0.2 update download via the built-in Adobe updater, not from the website, so I'm not sure where to locate it there).

And fixed! Though it does not resolve the actual problem, two work-arounds we are using to function in the meantime are to (1) always make a really long document to start with, with all the pages we think we'll need and more and (2) have a new, blank InDesign document with several pages open and drag pages from the blank document into your working document. This is a way to "add" blank pages when they are needed without inserting new pages in any of the traditional ways (which cause crashes). I also always send the crash report in to Adobe and encourage others to do the same.

Acrobat 8 Crashes when Inserting a page

This has never happened to me before, but now whenever I try to insert a page in any of my files, I get an error: Adobe Acrobat 8.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. It happens every time. Any one know why and how I can fix it?

InDesign crashes when inserting new page(s)

I have a landscape document with facing pages. The origin was an Indd CS3 document opend with CS 5 and saved. I can move pages from one location to another but the attemt to insert one or two new pages will cause indd to crash. This is not a general problem this seems only to happen with this particular doc.

Ther have been reoprts of an apparent bug that causes crashes when insering pages based on masters with more than one column. If that's not your problem, try Remove minor corruption by exporting

Microsoft Word docs are formatted wrong when opened in pages

Hi,
I‘ve been using pages from the very beginning and I am very happy with it (still waiting for "auto-save", though), but I do have one problem:
often when I open word .docs in pages they are formatted wrongly.
This happens especially with tables and pictures in tables.
If the pictures are in one line in MS Word, they often jump to the next line in pages.
Or the margins are wrong or both.
If I open it in Open Office, for example, they are fine.
Is there anything I can do about it?
Will it be better in pages 09?

Hi, I have a similar problem with Word (.doc) files containing a Table converted to Pages. Having read that Pages can convert from Word, I bought iWork instead of Office for Mac. I need to work on Word documents sent to me as attachments and find that Tables do not survive the conversion to Pages properly. Often the text within a Table is shown but, if a lengthy text (i.e. more than a page), the Table does not continue to the next page and the text becomes hidden below the visible Table. If I cut out some text from the middle of the Table, the missing text is revealed, progressively from the bottom of the Table. In other words, the text is there in the document but cannot be seen if it is more than can be fitted on one page. Any ideas on how to sort this? I am not encouraged that iWork 09 does not appear to help in a similar problem to mine.

Edited photos become unedited when inserted to Pages

Using Pages on an iPad 4.
Let's say I take a picture with my iPad. Open the picture in Photos. Edit the photo, specifically crop it.
Open up Pages and insert the cropped picture into the document. The picture will appear in its original state, that it to say, it will no longer be cropped. I do not like the Mask feature.
Why are my pictures not appearing edited? How do I get them to? Again, I would like to avoid the Mask feature for cropping pictures.

Interesting. When you edit a photo, it is non-destructive. You can revert back to the original. It appears that Pages (or the media browser) is picking up the original without applying the edits. What you can do instead is to go back to Photos, copy the image, then paste it into Pages.
I did not do an extensive test, only test on a cropped and rotated image (neither edit got applied). I assume other edits such as enhance or redeye would also not be applied when using the media browser. So the mask feature would, in general, not work.

Can Auto create bookmark when insert a page?

I know that when I combine multiple PDF file, bookmarks will be automatically created with the file names. However, when I insert page into this combined document, the bookmarks did not auto create. Similarly when I delete a page from this document, the bookmark did not get updated also,
Did I miss out some steps or even version X also does not have this ability?

we have assigned the gl accounts for transaction JP5 in table J_1it030k_v for each business place wise(state wise).
but when we do the miro system picking default account from OB40, instead of assignment from table J_1it030k_v for the transaction JP5
please provide the solution.

For Given issue configure following steps
1. For JP5 currently you are maintaing for JP5 one dummy GL A/C without tax code reference.
2. Please click on rule key of screen and tick the Tax code which is maintained in tab accounts are determine based on .
3. Maintain dummy GL account in OB40 for transaction JP5 with all tax code maintained in table J1_IT030K_V

Batch determination goes wrong when creating TO for delivery

Hello gurus, I have looked around to find a solution to why the system picks the wrong batch. We have a material that is batch managed and condition managed, so a B batch ends up in unrestricted use, and a R batch ends up in Restricted Use. The ATP check is set up so it only will see the unrestricted batches. And when I look in the delivery and checks the availability there it says I have 9 psc og B batch availible. This is correct, but when I create the following TO, it picks a R batch, probably because this is the oldest quant. How can i make this work? Is there any way to trigger ATP check at the creation of TO in transaction LT03?

Hi,
Ok, there are a couple of things you can do. First go to your delivery, go to batch split and then click on batch determination and click on either strategy analysis, log, selection criteria or strategy info. Do your analysis there to see what selection class etc is being taken into consideration. You normally put in the selection class, a characteristic which looks at the status of a certain batch and excludes the restricted batch from the determination process. The name of the characteristic is LOBM_ZUSTD (status of batch).
You can also setup batch determination in WM but you will face the same issue there. However, you can switch whether restricted batch can be moved through WM for certain mvt's.
Regarding the ATP, check the availability check control (you also see that through the batch split and then availability and scope of check to see whether restricted is included or not).

Export param UI goes wrong when exporting sequence?

I'm making an exporter plug-in using Premiere Pro SDK 5.5.
I'm adding some parameters in exSelGenerateDefaultParams. These including some tabs, groups and params in each group.
But when exporting in sequence, the UI messed up, all the tab and group names don't show, excluding the audio and video tab (which name already defined in PrSDKExportParamSuite.h).
Sorry guys edited: the params name do shows, but not the groups and tabs names.
When I export the file (clicking the file and Ctrl+M), the groups & tabs names show nomally.
Another note, I removed some of Premiere already defined commons param like video width(ADBEVideoWidth), height (ADBEVideoHeight), or audio channels (ADBEAudioNumChannels), sample rate (ADBEAudioRatePerSecond), pretty much everything except for ADBETopParamGroup, ADBEVideoTabGroup, and ADBEAudioTabGroup. Since I have no need for them in my plug-in.
Is the removal of those param the cause of my problem? Or something else? I'll very appreciate if any one encountered the same problems or have knowledge about them would help me.

I set up all my tabs and groups and params in GenDefaultPam(), only the group and tabs name are wrong, and only for second export onward.
Curently trying the caching, but as far as i increased the ParamVersion, nothing has changed.
And I noticed some other thing: Even the params are displayed normally in second export, its value range is mesed up too. For example, if "MyAwesomeParam" has min value of 10 and max value of 20, at first export if I enter 0, it jumps to 10 because the entered value is smaller than the min value. But in second export, if I enter 0, it stays 0.
It is getting more and more confusing really.

What is going wrong when I run HDR ?

Just now I tired to run merge to HDR under the file menu. I have used it in the past and it worked fine. Today on 8-10 trys HDR would go through the process but before getting to the adjustment window the image would just be gone. It had run through all the layer adjustments fine but...then nothing. I tried using 5 different exposures. It will work with 3 exposures.
On a MAC PRO tower with 7 gig of HD. Everything else is running fine on the MAC and in PS. I am baffled.
Image was shot with tripod so I am not Aligning the exposures. In fact they are all from the same RAW file processed at different exposures with different names. They are tif files. Camera 5D MarkII.

Actually I do know what HDR is for and have used it in both PS and Photomatrix for some time with good results;
I have used it in the past with both RAW files and processed tif files of different exposures with good results, not an HDR precisely but interesting and fun to play with. Using it both ways it has always gone through the entire process without problems.
In this case it will process three tif files of the same image, processed differently with good results and displays the Prompt to enter and/or choose which files to use for the merge process, leaving it in a 32 bit, then when converting to a 16 bit file gives the appropriate dialogue box to choose the processing method.
After reading your reply I did a test with RAW files of different exposures shot on a tripod, old files I had successfully merged as HDR in the past. Again with three files it worked perfectly but adding a fourth or fifth shut down before displaying the Prompt to enter and/or choose which files to use for the merge process.
