How do you select industry type for a particular client or how you deside that a particular client falls into repetitive manufacturing or process manufacturing or descrite manufacturing

Dear Prashant Patil,
If an industry if the same products are going to be produced for a long time,where they have got standard production BOM(involving
minor changes in the BOM components) and Routing (Rate routing) and who is interested to settle the cost periodically and invloving
less control efforts for Shop Floor activities - then we go for REM - Repetitive manufacturing.
Here no production orders concept or stagewise (operationwise)confirmation.
IF you want to do that ,then Reporting point backflush can be used in REM.
On the other hand ,if the cost is to be settled for an order and if the routing & the product produced changes frequently and want to
have more control for shop floor activities,then generally Discrete scenario is followed.
Here after MRP Run,Planned orders are created which has to converted into Production order,then release,confirmation,GR,TECO
status settings has to be done.
PP-PI is used in process oriented industries like Metal processing,Pharmaceutical Industries.Where process instructions are to be
given.

1. Define Industry Sectors and Industry-Sector-Specific Field Selection (transaction OMS3) -> assign a field reference to field selection
2. Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens (transaction OMS9) -> define a specific field selection for a field selection group (for example, depending on industry sector (the field reference appears on the lower table control).
Like the material type, the industry sector also has a control function. When you create a material master record, the industry sector determines:
Which screens appear and in which order
Which industry-specific fields appear on each screen
The industry sector you assign to a material cannot subsequently be changed. In Customizing, you can define new industry sectors and maintain the field reference for field selection control according to your enterprise-specific requirements.
Most data in the material master record can be maintained directly by the user. But some information is automatically updated by the system. When you enter goods movements, for example, the system updates the stock and consumption data. Statistical information, such as the date of original creation and that of the last change, can be invoked with , with the quick-info text Information on material.
Some data in the material master is used for information purposes only, for example, description, size, and dimensions. Other material data has a controlling function in an application. For example, the MRP type controls the MRP procedure and the price control indicator determines which material valuation procedure is used

How to Change Industry type in a existing running CRM system

Hi Experts,
We are running presently on CRM 5.0 and we went live on Nov 2006.Currently we found that the industry type has been configured as CG (We are HT industry type).
If we change the industry type in the current running CRM system what will be the impact.Can we do it and what is the process to do it.

Hi Subha,
As far as my knowledge when the industry has beeen selected it should not be changed becuase once the industry is selected it would generate all the required objects objects of the CRM repositry. But I think you have a choice if you have a seperate client then you can Generate industry-specific objects for HT industry.
Anyways check twice before you do a major change.

Configure industry type

All experts!!!
I am trying to create dummy scenarios in IDES version. But being a regular practitionar, I was configuring material master and could not locate industry type (Mechanical). I tried to create it but now I am stuck with the different views of material master. I saw only one view in mat. type HALB i.e Basic Data 2. Worthwhile to mention here tht I have already select the views.
Can someone suggest me how to customize industry type and master data according to that. thanks in advance.

Hi,
Using the Change Material Type, you can select which views you would like to have in Material Master.
The Field reference decides which fields should be displayed & whether the entry is optional / madatory in Material Master.
When material master records are maintained, the field reference determines for each field selection group if the field selection group is set to Hide, Display, Required entry, or Optional entry.
In Customizing for the Material Master, you can assign one or more of the following to a field reference:
Material type
You do this in the activity Define Attributes of Material Types
Industry sector
You do this in the activity Define Industry Sectors and Industry-Sector-Dependent Field Selection
Plant
You do this in the activity Define Plant-Dependent Field Selection and Plant-Dependent Screen Selection
The settings for Field reference can be found at
Logistics - General --> Material Master --> Field Selection --> Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens (OMS9).

Output type selection is missing for report S_ALR_87013558

In report S_ALR_87013558 output type selection is not seen in production. whereas it was there before, and its there in quality. Please help how should i bring it back.

Just check whether you the authorization to display the report in Production. You might have the authorisation if the development and quality, but some times not in Production.

How to set Screen type "Selection Screen" in Dialog program

Hi Experts,
I have copied a screen 400 from a program into my program. In that screen in source program, the screen type was defined as 'Selection Screen'. After i copied that screen into my program, the screen type Selection Screen option is disabled. How to set the screen type of a screen to Selection Screen.
I am currently getting the following error
"Error when generating the selection screen "0400" of "Ztest_screen ".
I tried running the generation program RSDBGENA. There the diagnosis was given as follows:
When generating the report Ztest_screen and its selection screen, an existing screen 1000 (not a selection screen) was overwritten.
The selection screen was defined as follows:
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF SCREEN 400 AS SUBSCREEN.
SELECTION-SCREEN BEGIN OF BLOCK blck1 WITH FRAME TITLE text-001.
SELECT-OPTIONS: s_matnr FOR mara-matnr.
PARAMETERS: p_werks TYPE werks_d OBLIGATORY.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF BLOCK blck1.
SELECTION-SCREEN END OF SCREEN 400 .
I am calling the screen 400 with selection screen declarations in PBO of screen 0100.
CALL SUBSCREEN sub_scr INCLUDING 'Ztest_Screen' '400'.
Where am i going wrong? Your inputs are needed.

I had copied the generated screen 400 also from the source program into my program. This was the error. I deleted that and the report got activated now.
Both the source and destination programs are not module pool. They are executable programs.

Execute a clientListener of type selection without the selection (HELP)

Hey everyboy, today i brought a difficult and challeging question for you. (I'm using JDeveloper 12.1.2.0.0 and the database given by oracle -> HR)
Imagine the following scenario:
- You have a adf read-only table with the department id and department name
- You have a adf read-only table with the information of 3 tables together (join of department table, employee table and jobs table), i'm going to call it HUB table
- You have a adf read-only table with the employee id and employee name
- You can select one or more departments and the HUB table only shows the rows that are linked to the department that you choosed
- You click on any element of the hub table and it highlights the rows in the employee table that match the rows in the HUB table
My question is: How can i do the last part (the click on the hub table) without clicking it?
I have this on my HUB table:

If i try to move my clientListener and ServerListener, it says that i don't have the attributes that i need for the method in my bean (because i don't have the employeeID).
I have the bean with the bindings for everytable (so i can access to them if i need) and my matchEmFACTS code is:

Actually i'm handling it with a managed bean, and i have a selectionListener but the method is called by a clientListener (the SelectionListener is for other purposes) but i can't pass the code to the selectionListener because it comes from a previous function, so he won't find the element i'm looking for).
I'll put some parts of the code so you can understand what i'm saying:

As you can see, if i try to organize my code to the HubTableSelect (my selectionListener) i won't be able to get the proper information, since the selectionEvent already comes from another selectionListener, in this case, the department selectionListener.

Try updating the printer firmware, the latest version should improve its paper handling.
Follow these steps to get the latest update for the printer and then check for any differencex:

The Employer Type selected is invalid for iRecruitment

I get "The Employer Type selected is invalid. Please enter a valid Employer Type" error message when try to to enter previous employer for externel candidate. What's wrong?

I fix it. Data grid where you enter previous employement doesn't render employee type column. I have added it. Now it works.

Physical tables - table type 'select' query

Hello,
I've been playing around with the migrateEUL tool and have noticed that all Discoverer custom folders get translated into Physical Tables with a table type of 'select' as I would expect.
What I'm not sure about is the location in which it places these objects.
With a database data source called 'Video Store Tutorial' at the top level, a Physical Schema of VIDEO5 gets created. Inside this Physical Schema are the regular tables. The 'select' tables are placed as siblings to the Physical Select folder, and not as a child object like the rest of the tables.
Can someone please comment on what is the best practice regarding locating these 'select' tables (as children of the Physical Schema or children of the Database).
If I create a new table of table type 'select' I can only do so by right clicking the Physical Schema and choosing 'New Physical Table', thereby making this new object a child of the schema. I cannot make it a child of the database directly - although I can drag the object out from within the Physical Schema and drop it on the database name, to make it so.

Hi John,
There not really an absolut truth for this. Normaly you would make 'single schema' view siblings of there physical schema and 'multi schema' views direct siblings. It doesn't influence performances if they use the same connection pool. It's just a matter of taste.

Illustrator's font is different for some reason and hard to read, I need to change it so i can read all the tabs and file names. Like file, edit, options, type, select, effects..... swatches, layers.. every tab is in a different font that is hard to read

Illustrator's tabs are all in a different font that I can read.
I need to know how to change it so I can get back to a steady workflow.
For example..
File, edit, options, type, select, effects, view, windows, help..... pathfinder, layers, swatches, stroke, and the file name (all the tabs)
are all in a different font, I don't know how it got changed but now it is different.
This is a shared computer so someone might have changes it on accident but I'm not sure.

Paper type selection .... Glossy, Matte, etc...

There appears to be no paper type selection menu when printing directly from iPhoto 7...with Epson R800 or Epson CX7800. I can take the .jpg image to other apps and print fine. I would have expected it to be in the block where "Standard" is located, but no other options appear in the format...
Worked fine in 6, 5 ....... with same printers, same systems

If it is there (and it is a printer driver feature) it is in the middle pull down menu of the next print screen II believe is is called "paper source" - so to get to it select your photos, make the selections (printer, paper size, print size) on that window and then click print again - in the middle of the new window there is a pull down window of the printer options that will include (if it is available - some of my printers have it (Brother I think) - some do not (HP I think) - to change that list requires contacting the manufacture - it is in their software, Apple simply provides the access to the feature
Some people have found that simply uninstalling the hp software and reinstalling it will fix this problem -- see the last few posts in this thread - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1383540&tstart=0

Hp pro 8600 error Paper detected does not match paper size or type selected .

hp pro 8600 error "Paper detected does not match paper size or type selected" for Copies from tray one . There has been no change in the paper always used in tray one. Prints documents with no problem from Tray One with same paper. Copies from Tray 2, same paper, no problem. Have restarted the printer, same error. When I try to copy using Tray one, the to be copied document does not feed, and the printer kicks out a blank page using Tray One Paper.

PhotoSmart3210 All in one "Paper detected does not match paper size or type selected."

All of a sudden i cannot copy any document with my 3210 All In One. I keep getting the message shown above on the screen.

I would like to help you with your Photosmart 3210. I understand that when you copy you see a message on the printer that says "Paper detected does not match paper size or type selected". Does this also happen when you print from the computer, or only when you copy? Have you tried copying a different size paper, and what size paper are you currently using?
Are you able to print a self test report? If you are unsure, please try, and let me know;
Load plain white paper into the tray.
Press the Setup button.
Press 1 to display the Print Report menu.
Press 1 again to select Self-Test Report. The self-test report prints.
