Initial Inventory

Hi experts,
I trying to upload the initial stock to SBO using the template in DTW "stocktaking", but at the end appears an error that says: "no matching records found (ODBC -2028)'Aplication-defined or object-defined erorroStockTakings".
Do you know what additional information I need to complete in order to have in SBO the initial stock?

Hi Friend,
The template should look like this:
ItemCode,WarehouseCode,Counted
ItemCode,WarehouseCode,Counted
A00001,01,10
The template works in my testing. If the issue still persists at your side, please notice which field has the error.
e.g. <OITW.WhsCode> 'no matching records found (ODBC -2028)'
This means the WarehouseCode data is not accurate.
If your WH is 01 in b1, you will need to make sure 01 is input in the template rather than 1 via opening the template by notepad.

To upload the initial stock / update RG23D during initial stoc we need to use the same t-code j1ig or we can develope a BDC for the particular t-code.thats the practice we are following.

MIRO for Billing data
in SAP easy access
under Financial accounting >Accounts payable-> information systems-->masterdata report
you can display blocked vendors also as a list there using those reports.
the vendors which are blocked are inactive vendors

Initial Inventory Load - 561 mvmt type, FIFO Valuation

Hello,
We have a requirement wherein the client wants to have the Initial Inventory Load (Mvmt 561) to be valuated as FIFO.
My understanding is, Initial Inventory Load will always be valuated at Std. Price / Moving Avg. Price.
Can we have Initial Inventory Load valuated using FIFO, if so can you please explain in detail.
Note: Not every Material being loaded is Batch Managed and am not sure if Batch Mgmt is a requirement for FIFO valuation.

FIFO is a year end valuation,
you can load initial inventory with 561 and use the external value field to enter whatever value you want, SAP then updates the MAP in material master accordingly.

Bonded Warehouse Initial Inventory

Hello,
We are setting up the Bonded Warehouse in GTS 8.0. After the initial Transfer of the Stock from ECC to GTS all the inventory is in Duty Paid. How is the initial Duty Unpayed stock to be transferred in GTS from Duty Payed to Duty unpayed?

SAP provide a Function Module (/SAPSLL/API_IVMS_IDUP_SYNCH) to enable direct posting of duty-unpaid stock for initial load. This creates an internal Customs Document just like an Import Declaration, from which Closing Portions can later be determined.
Unfortunately you have to work out how to use the FM to best effect, particularly if you also have duty-paid stock of the same Materials to transfer. You will need to do some development in order to get a working solution.

Load FIFO Inventory Beginning Balances via DTW

Hello all,
we are trying to load the initial inventory stock of an all FIFO item company in B1 8.8 SP00 PL14 hotfix1.
The OITW StockTaking template does its job via DTW.
But then the Inventory Transactions - Initial Quantities... - Inventory Posting step requires to enter an item price regardless of the price source selection, which seems to defeat the purpose of DTW.
Is this the correct procedure?.

Workaround:
create a price list to hold the item cost and select option "By price list" in "Price Source for Whse Inv Posting".
The price field in the next window will be filled with the value from the newly defined price list.
Now we can reconcile without entering the item price manually.

Moving inventory postings from one of profit center to another

1.You can post FI entry between profit centers.
or
2.You can do distrubution in pca between profit centers.
or
3.You can do manual posting in PCA using 9KE0 T.code
based on your business requirement,please chosee your option.

Creating Initial Stock for a material

Hello Experts,
Can you please let me know how to create some initial inventory/stock for a material in a storage location?
For eg: I have material MAT1 in Storage Location LC01 in plant PL01 and it does not have any stock. I want to create some stock for this material in storage location (LC01) for the plant (PL01) for testing purposes.

Hi,
If this material is internal manufacturing then you have to create a process/production order(COR1) and release it and confirm it and perform Goods Receipt(101).
If the material is externally procured then you have to create Purchase Order(Me21N) and receive against it in MIGO.
You can take help of your functional consultants to perform these transactions.

The initial Inventory import was done improperly. Our "on hand" count is double what is should be. How do I correct the item count and ensure the items are in the proper bins? Can I do this with DTW?

Transfer Inventory

I have activated WM as a new module.
How to tranfer inventory from IM to WM???
When charge initial inventory with 561 this enable me to create automatic Tranfer Order and its confirmation, however in this case the Inventory already exist in IM, how move or extend this inventory from IM to WM.

did you make sure to add systems to the project? This same message happens when you do upload, but no systems are on the project. This typically happens when you create the company and project FIRST, then attach a collector afterwards.

If you create a company, but no project, attach collector and upload, then make a project ... then systems are available in the wizard during Project creation.

Changing cost of posted inventory

Hi all,
Is there a way to change the price on posted inventory?
I was putting in initial inventory and noticed I made a mistake when entering the cost after I already posted the inventory.
So now my G/L account is off and so is my GP.

Hi Andrew......
You should go for Inventory Revaluation.
Just go to Inventory>Inventory Transactions> Inventory Revaluation.
Select the items and change the current price to new price. This will change or update your existing price......
Try once in Demo DB first......
