Inordinate delay in the repair of an Under Warrant...

I had given my E90 Handset for repair vide Job Sheet No. 482434038/081209/9 on 9th Dec '08 at 11.47 AM at your Nokia Care Center, M/s Sheetla Communication, B-249, DLF Phase IV, Super Mart-1, Gurgaon. This handset is currently under warranty.
Till date the handset has not been repaired and worst of all no status has been updated. The status on your Website is that the handset is ready for collection. However, as per Nokia Care Centre, M/s Sheetla Communication, the handset has been sent to Nokia IMC-Level 2 at Okhla and is non committal and vague on the delivery date.
My work is suffering heavily on account of this handset not being operational. Apart from this and more than anything else I find it simply amazing that a global market leader and a world class company like Nokia takes such an inordinate long time to diagnose and repair a mere handset and that too in an age where newer technologies are getting developed daily at a breakneck speed. Worst of all, I strongly feel that both your Call Center and Nokia Care Center personnel are not trained properly to appropriately handle customer queries and they have at the best served to further agitate the customer by way of their lackadaisical and casual response.
Your products are priced at a premium vis-à-vis competitive models and one expects excellent after sales support as well.
May I request the concerned Nokia officials to sit up, intervene and take notice of this complaint and for initiating immediate action for getting the handset repaired on highest priority.

  • Delay in line repair

    Last Tuesday somone (not us!) knocked down one of the poles which support our line. We're in a very remote area with no mobile signal and no BT broadband although we do have a community WLAN. My husband called BT today to ask when the line was going to be fixed and the chap said they weren't even assessing it until 12/11! That will be 10 days from the original fault report.
    Has anyone else had such appaling seervice from BT?

    Hi there,
    When you mean warranty, where is that updated in the system? In any master data or Z table?
    Usual practise is basing on the serial num of the material. From the serial num, users will be able to back track from which sales order this material is initially delivered to the customer. The info is stored in standard tables (for eg EQUI)
    One way of doing this is to define a 100% discount condition type in your pricing. Thsi discount will apply only when the customer is in warranty. For this you will need to write a code in teh requirement routine for that condition type in V/08. If warranty is stored in a Z table, then call that Z table & compare it with your sales order. If yes, only then 100% discount will apply & repair cost will be zero. Else, repair charge will be billed to customer.
    It depends how your business will monitor repairs. If they raise a service order, then you will need to define a service pricing procedure in which you will include the 100% discount. In this case service order is always referenced with ref to a sales order.

    No. The iPhone warranty is not international. You will need to have warranty service done in Oman.

    LaCie doesnt make ANYTHING.  It contains a Seagate 3.5" 5400RPM HD.
    Check the HD on another computer, if nothing, your SATA bridge is fried, or the HD (very unlikely since its a Seagate inside)
    Youd have to crack open the HD, remove the SATA bridge cart thats plugged into the HD and put the HD into an enclosure or a HD dock to get the data
    those external HD use a 50 cent SATA bridge famous for failing.  The curse of all the good HD externals is the junk 3rd party SATA bridges attached to them that crash and burn.

    No. Replacements are always the same as what is being replaced. No back camera now means no back camera after replacement.

    Hi David. I'm in the exact same boat. I have a $2500 projector (HW40) that started giving trouble. It's been 4 weeks now and no telling how much longer they will take to fix it. No communication either. The phone support is useless. You waste hours and hours (literally) on hold and getting the runaround. I'll never ever buy Sony again. I'm sharing my horrible experience on the A/V forums and have already steered quite a few to the Epson and/or JVC projectors. Sony will never get another dime from me.

    Can anyone explain this?  Every single time I use Disk Utility to repair disk permissions, I get the same messages, not just for Monitor Panels, but for every single item in the Library!!!, and this wastes a lot of time because once the permissions have been repaired, I find that the messages come up again immediately, suggesting that the repairs were not made!!  The messages always read as follows: should be drwxr-xr-x ; they are lrwxr-xr-x .
    What is going on here, and how can I fix it permanently?

    The structure of those packages changed in an update. There's nothing to fix.
    The repair permissions function should only be used when troubleshooting an issue, and then only once per incident. Running it repeatedly won't fix anything.

I tried "Copy" and paste but it doesn't work. I tried "Share" with Airdrop and iChat, but the file is inaccessible. When i try to rename the file, it says the filename is too long.
    When I try to open it, it says the alias is not good, and asks if I want to fix the alias. I'm afraid to do that and lose all access to this document.
    Right now, it feels like a ghost document - it is on the computer intact, but it is in an undisclosed location and inaccessible.
    Please help!!

    I was able to resolve this by repairing permissions, even though no permissions error was listed specifically for that file.
    I could also have recovered it through Time Machine, but I'm interested in knowing how not to have this happen again!
    I was afraid of rebooting and possibly losing track even of the ghost.
    I did not try EasyFind - I'll keep that in mind next time.

    I understand that you are having issues with your music displaying correctly. This may be an issues with the metadata stored within that song, and iTunes interpretation of that info.

    I put my 12-inch PowerBook in last week and when I looked for it this week on the repair tracking the Repair No was not recognized.

    Hang on to that paper, and assume the worst. After a series of kernel panics I brought my powerbook to an authorized reseller for repair; they couldn't repair it locally, so sent it to Apple (under AppleCare). Apple replaced the motherboard, but in the process put a dent in the case, so I refused delivery and asked them to repair the dent (the reseller had meticulously cataloged all scratches, scuffs, etc. prior to accepting the machine originally.)
    Long story short: Apple lost my machine. After numerous weeks of hearing nothing, I called the reseller and they traced the machine. They had delivery records of the reseller handing it to the freight company, and the freight company had records of handing it to Apple, but no record of Apple logging it into their system.
    I had to keep ringing back every week or so for FOUR months; finally someone at Apple Corporate HQ here in the UK picked up the case and they replaced my machine and my AppleCare, but in the course of doing so, I learned (both first hand and from the reseller) how miserable their service and supply chain management can be.
    Bottom line--eventually they made it right but it took over 4 months to get there. Brilliant design, good looks, easy to use applies to the product, but not to the corporation.
