Insert data in database from FAT file

how can i insert data in database in different different column

I have APEX 3.1.2.
I have tried:
DECLARE
l_selected HTMLDB_APPLICATION_GLOBAL.VC_ARR2;
BEGIN
l_selected := HTMLDB_UTIL.STRING_TO_TABLE(HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_F02(1));
FOR I IN 1..l_selected.count
LOOP
INSERT INTO BOOKS (ID_BOOK) VALUES (l_selected(I));
END LOOP;
END;
It doesn't work. I have and error: 'No data found'. But you have written about name attribute. In view of code my page with shuttle I have that code about second part of shuttle:
<td class="shuttleSelect2">
<select multiple="multiple" name="p_v03" size="10" id="P3_SHUTTLE_RIGHT" ondblclick="g_Shuttlep_v03.remove()">
<option value="5">Aaa Aaa</option>
<option value="2">Bbb Bbb</option>
<option value="1">Eee Eee</option>
</select>
</td>
So I have tried in above code use: HTMLDB_APPLICATION.G_p_v03 and HTMLDB_APPLICATION.p_v03 but I have an error:
'G_P_V03' must be declared or 'P_V03' must be declared :(

  • Shuttle - how can I insert data in database from second part of shuttle ?

    I have read it: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=35253:1:2820687553996558::NO but I don't understand shuttle.
    My shuttle name is 'P3_SHUTTLE'. I have created shuttle by clicking (Create Item -> Shuttle -> next -> etc.). In first part of shuttle I have all elements from some table in database. In second part of shuttle I have choiced elements from first part of shuttle (as in each normal simply shuttle). I would like insert elements from second part of shuttle when somebody clicked button (which I have created). I have created process for this button type PL/SQL anonymous block. In field source of this process I have written:
    DECLARE
    BEGIN
    FOR z in 1..htmldb_application.g_f02.count loop
    INSERT INTO books(id_book) VALUES(htmldb_application.g_f02(z));
    END LOOP;
    END;
    but it doesn't work (I don't know what is 'htmldb_application.g_f02.count' - it was in yours example).
    So I have tried:
    DECLARE
    BEGIN
    FOR z in 1..P3_SHUTTLE.pSQL_2.count loop
    INSERT INTO books(id_book) VALUES(P3_AKTORZY.pSQL_2(z));
    END LOOP;
    END;
    P3_SHUTTLE it is name of my shuttle
    but this code also doesn't work :( HELP please :(

  • HOW DO I STOP MY JSP PAGE FROM INSERTING DATA IN DATABASE EACH TIME REFRESH

    ThanksSTOP SHOUTING!
    now, while displaying the form generate some random number, or take the current time in millis or whatever. Put that number in a hidden field. Insert that unique number along with the real data into the database, but before you do check if the number already exists. If it does you can be pretty sure this is a resubmit of the same data, so don't allow it. This is one way of many to prevent resubmission of existing data.
    A good way to prevent a refresh from resubmitting altogether is to do a redirect to a result page right after you deal with the POST request. When the user presses refresh then, he/she will refresh the redirect and not the form submit.

  • Insert Data into Table from TXT or CSV file !!!!!

    Dear All,
    Recently I have started working on APEX. In Oracle Forms, we used to use TEXT_IO for inserting records into tables from txt files. Now I want to do the same thing in apex 3.2. How can I insert data into tables from txt of csv files.
    Waiting of your valuable suggestions.
    With kind regards,
    Yousuf.

    Yousuf
    wwv_flow_files is used by APEX to hold uploaded files.
    If you incorporate a file browse item on you page, browse for the selected file, then submit the page (having the PL/SQL process described as an on suibmit process) then what I detailed should work.
    If you don't need users to have access to this then just go to Home>Utilities>Data Load/Unload in APEX and there is a handy load utility there that does it all for you.
    Cheers

    Your Help will be very much appreciate.I am using SQL Server database

    The error concerns these two lines:
    boolean success = insertIntoDB("'" + FirstName + "','" + LastName + "','" + Email + "','" + Login + "','" + Password + "'");
    statement.execute("INSERT INTO Users(user_id,FirstName,LastName,Email,Login,Password) values (" + stringtoinsert + ");");
    In the first line above, you have a string which represents the VALUES which you are inserting. There are 5 values. However in the second line above this is your actual SQL execution you are specifying 6 columns of data. If the column "user_id" is an identity or auto-incrementing field in the database, just remove it from this line. If not then you need to supply the "UserID" into the VALUES.
    This should fix the problem.

  • How to insert data in database table

    Hi experts,
                   How to insert data into database table using internal table from function module.

    Hi,
    As per my understanding are you looking for the complete API feature of data insertion into the database using the Locking Mechanism? If yes, then you need to create a Lock Object using the Primary keys of the Primary Table and Secondary Tables. You need to call the lock object first and then you need to make the entry into the table. This principle is based on  'All or None Concept'.
    For the insert Statement Key word you can have a look at the following link:
    http://help.sap.com/abapdocu/en/ABAPINSERT_SOURCE.htm
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • Building Database from .dbf files

    Hello All,
    I had to reinstall oracle software. But I have all the data\control\log files from previous installation.
    So my question is, Can I rebuild my database from those files? If so, how?
    All the installation directories are same as before. I don't know if this helps but just wanted to provide as much info as possible.
    Thanks,
    Satish

    All your tablespace, user, grants, etc. information is stored within the system datafile, so if you install the Oracle server, then manually recreate the directory structure from your previous database (for example on NT, you'd create d:\oracle\oradata\your_sid\*.dbf
    d:\oracle\admin\your_sid\pfile | bdump | etc...) then put the datafiles in the location where the control files says they should be, and your pfile points to the correct control files then it will be OK.
    Your pfile will contain the location(s) of your control files. When you nomount the database, the instance will start and the pfile will find the location/locate the control file (this is why you recreate the control file in nomount mode); then when you mount the database, the control files are actually opened and read so the instance can locate the datafiles, identify the tablespaces, etc (this is why you have to put the control files in the location(s) specified in the pfile and datafiles, etc. back in the location specified in the control file). Then opening the database just basically validates everything and opens for use. As long as you don't specify SIZE or REUSE for the datafiles in the control file, and comment out everything after the CHARACTER SET listed in the control file and you still have the datafiles that contain data, you won't need anything like an import. You may need media recovery of some sort or experiment with incomplete recovery (if files are available) and open with resetlogs; but normally if you have an OracleService and you have a pfile, control files, and datafiles, everything will be there (user info and all is stored in the system datafile).
    Hope this helps answer some of your questions. Anyway - you can try it and if it fails, you can always start over as long as you have a backup copy of your datafiles and controlfiles and pfile.

  • Load into database from a file

    hi,

    UTL_FILE
    With the UTL_FILE package, your PL/SQL programs can read and write operating system text files. UTL_FILE provides a restricted version of operating system stream file I/O.
    UTL_FILE I/O capabilities are similar to standard operating system stream file I/O (OPEN, GET, PUT, CLOSE) capabilities, but with some limitations. For example, you call the FOPEN function to return a file handle, which you use in subsequent calls to GET_LINE or PUT to perform stream I/O to a file. When file I/O is done, you call FCLOSE to complete any output and free resources associated with the file.

    Hi ,
    1.)You must have to create a EO based on custom table and then VO based on this EO eventually to save the values in DB
    2.) the row.setNewRowState(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED); is used to set the the status of row as inialized ,this is must required.
    3.) When u will create the VO based on EO the viewattributes will be created in VO which will be assigned to the fields to take care the db handling .
    You must go thtough the lab excercise shipped with you Jdeveloper ,there is a example of Create Employee page ,that will solve your number of doubts.
    Thanks

  • Error while uploading data to ztable from excel file

    Hi,
    I have a requirement where i have to upload data from excel file to ztable.I have used the fm 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE' for reading the excel file.After reading the excel file i have used INSERT zrb_hdr from table t_zrb_hdr for updating the ztable with data .
    here it is giving error as the data base table zrb_hdr and the internal table t_zrb_hdr should be declared of same type .
    I got this error b'coz i have changed the date and time fields in t_zrb_hdr table to char type.so the structure of zrb_hdr and t_zrb_hdr are not same.If i don't change the date and time fields,in the o/p i am not getting proper date and time formats.
    now how can i upload data into ztable?

    Hi,
    Try this.
    Data: itab type standard table of ztable,
             wa_itab type ztable.
    loop at t_zrb_hdr into wa_t_zrb_hdr.
       wa_itab-date = wa_t_zrb_hdr-date.
       wa_itab-time = wa_t_zrb_hdr-time.
       like  move all the fiedl to wa_itab...........
       append itab with wa_itab.
    Endloop.
    now insert the records from itab to the database table ztable.

  • Insert data into table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0)

    I want to insert data into a database table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0).
    1. I have a table 'FRIENDS', (in Oracle 10g database).
    2. It has two columns, 'NAME' and 'CITY'. Both have datatype strings(varchar2).
    3. Now from a JSP page, having two textfields, 'NAME' and 'CITY', I want to insert data into table 'FRIENDS'.
    4. In between JSP and database is a Entity Bean(EJB 3.0) and a stateless session bean.
    5. I am using JDev as editor.
    Please provide me code ASAP or link with similar example.
    Thank you.

    In the servlet invoke the business method.
    Similar kind of app is in www.roseindia.net

    Meanwhile if u get any optimal solution, pls post it.
    Thanks,
    Happy Java Coding.
