Inserting html snippets for paypal buttons into templates

I can insert html snippets(for pay pal buttons) into an iweb page that I've created but if I go to the slide shows and try to add a button to those it puts the buttons on ALL the slides. Any remedy as I'd like to use the photo templates AND pay pal buttons.

Hi, My customized paypal buttons that i but on my iweb site using html snippets are not displaying correctly. They work in Opera but not in firefox or safari. Please take a look and tell me what you think might be wrong. (all the links are working it's just not showing the graphics correctly (apart from in Opera)

You inserted an image inside the ShopTable_Lampsfiles folder but it's is deleted every time you publish your page
1) Create an new folder named Paypal in your root folder:
FTP: With a FTP software (like Cyberduck) create a new folder in your server root folder
MobileMe: just make an new folder inside the Folder Sites (iDisk > Web > Sites)
Name this Folder "paypal"
2) insert your image "addtocartbutton.png" inside this paypal folder
Get the new URL of your image , something like
http://www.alisonbrent.com/paypal/addtocartbutton.png
3) Paste this URL in your codes, replace
src="http://www.alisonbrent.com/ShopTable_Lampsfiles/addtocartbutton.png"
by
src="http://the/new/URL/of/addtocartbutton.png"

Inserting HTML snippet in signature

Any easy way to include a countdown timer snippet in a signature block?

I have questions that you can perhaps answer regarding website building.
I've designed the Axleart website in iWeb which is Apple's easy to use but hard to customize program.

IWeb uses java-script based photo albums which are nice to navigate through but hard to customize.
What I want is to add a html snippet (which creates a Paypal or other shopping cart button) in the caption of each photo in the album.
iWeb doesn't allow me to edit the html or Javascript directly but I can publish the site to a local folder, then edit it there, then upload it from there through ftp to my server.
I use a program called iWeb SEO Tool to add title tags and keywords and meta tags and google analytics code. It reads from the local folder then adds the info then uploads to the server.
Each time i re-edit the site in iWeb, iWeb erases all those tags and stuff (I think). Each time I open it in iWeb SEO Tool, it reapplies all the tags and stuff that I have saved in that program.

So before I try to edit the Javascript per Cyclosaurus' suggerstion, I have an important question:
If I add paypal buttons into the captions for the photos in the albums, will they get erased each time I re-edit in iWeb and make it too time consuming to be worthwhile? Is there a workaround for this like what iWeb SEO Tool does?

Anybody have a text-only HTML snippet for TwitThis that works on an iWeb blog? If you use the one on the TwitThis website, it points to just the HTML snippet, not the entire page. Here's their snippet, FWIW:

Problem with an HTML snippit and PayPal button - cant figure this one out?

Hello Mac people. We are really good with these things but this one has got us completely foxed.
We've done a tribute website in iWeb 08 for a friend and his family that were tragically murdered in November 2006 - the address is www.yemi.co.uk
We are trying to add a PayPal Donate button to the Charity Page.
Simple right? We went to our PayPal account, set up the button, previewed it (perfect), copied the code, pasted it into an iWeb HTML snippet window, clicked Apply and the PayPal button appeared on the page... Great, thats sorted right? Nope.
What happens after we publish to our .MAC account is that the PayPal button, when clicked, tries to load the entire PayPal page into the frame / area within the actual PayPal button, which is a tiny, on the iWeb page.
What we want it to do is just link to PayPal in a new window.
Tried everything we can think of to solve it including PayPal technical service, .MAC assistance etc... 3 days later we admit defeat!
Anyone have a clue what we've done wrong? Much appreciated.

Hi, just a quick update. We managed to solve this one by adding this to the first line of code that PayPal generates after it has been pasted into the Snippit window: target="newFormWindow" - it forces the page to open in a new window and gets round the problem we were having.

                 Is there any preferred software for creating e-mail templates to use with SAP Cloud for Customers ? I mean to avoid unnecessary errors when creating standard e-mail template which are recognized unified manner within the system.

Here is a template for the wire-frame that we used. We went with pure HTML tables so that the response could be multi-client compatible. We found that additional code caused issues with certain clients. In the middle table, we had linked icons to our respective self serve properties and additional support options for Chat and our own Support Community.
The content of the email will be placed where #Text# is. Our email responses include the content and the basic signature. We also provide our detailed legal disclaimer at the bottom with additional links if needed.

Possible to insert html text or ADF component into header of panelWindow?

Hi Experts,
Is it possible to replace the content of a panelWindow's header with anything other than another image?
for example with ADF components? or with html-formatted text?
I'm creating a Microsoft-Ribbon like widget and trying to use panelWindows as the backbone for the menu-bar popup.
The header will contain the title of each sub-menu-bar, hence my question... (btw, if anyone has a better way of doing
this - do suggest :)

p.s.: it'd be great to simply get rid of the header alltogether and just add a individual panelGroupLayouts comp in a row,
but it looks like I would lose the close-button functionality in that case...

The way to go is to use panelGroupLayout or even better some more sophisticated layout (like panelBorder or panelStretch) to build your own window. To build close button - just use clientListener (google for Frank's blog posts on using client side scripting in ADF RC for opening/closing popups). Then, you can package all this into reusable custom component... (leaving facets to include your external markup where needed) And you have your ADF Rich "widget"!
I did it many times for similar purposes. Custom components are great thing in ADF RC. And they are intended for just such an case as you described.

HTML Snippet for FEEDBACK FORM does not work the way I expected

Hello folks,
I have used following code as a Snippet to create a FEEDBACK FORM, so people can send their comments. I was hoping that when people write their comments and click Send, the comment will be sent directly to my e-mail. Instead, after clicking Send button, the Mail Manager pops up. So it is pretty much the same as if they click on the e-mail address link. Is this normal? I thought, that these comments will be sent directly via that FEEDBACK FORM, not via Mail Manager.

The action is usually a php file.
Otherwise, simply create a button and make it a mail link in the Inspector.
If you cannot figure this out, you'd better refrain from using it.
Or start learning how to use forms.

Inserting HTML tag for character style

I want to be able to use the <DEL> HTML tag around some text:
<p>Regular Price <del>$395</del> Today $95</p>
So, it should look like this:
Regular Price $395 Today $95
This works reliably in Dreamweaver (both preview and in various browsers). It also works on this forum page! But I can't get it to work in Muse.

This shows how to add a scroll box using HTML. That works on the test site. I then modified the contents to add <DEL> to the second word and it isn't shown. [I also added <STRONG> to the sixth word and it doesn't show either.]

This shows how to use a character style. The <MARK> style seems to work, but the <STRONG> style doesn't show up in the browser. Any rate, there is no way I can find to add my own tag and the <DEL> tag is not one of those in the pull down list.

Muse overrides the default styling for the 'del' and 'ins' tags. If you want to use these tags in custom HTML, and have styling applied to them, you'll have to specify the styling you want with inline CSS, like so:

The website administrator has to enable the permission for inserting HTML snippet, for your role, for the Insert HTML Snippet menu to be enabled. If you are the website administrator, you can follow these steps to enable the Insert HTML snippet menu item:-
Launch Contribute and select Edit -> Administer Websites, and select your website.
The Administration dialog for your website will be shown.
Select a role (for ex, Administrator), and click Edit Role Settings button.
The Edit Role Settings dialog will be shown.
In this dialog, select Editing from the left panel, and check the check box for 'Allow HTML Snippet Insertion'.

With DW CS5.5 when I try to insert a PayPal button into a table (which I always did with DW8) the table in Design View gets scrambled, making it unusable. Please would one of you out there who is much more knowledgeable about DW than me try it and see if there is a solution? If you create a new HTML page in Design view, create a table in it, place the insertion point inside one of the table cells, go to the code view and locate the insertion point there, then paste the PayPal button code at that point. Here's the code:

Inserting html code snippets

I'm using Contribute 3 (version 3.11) and cannot insert html code snippets with this. But I'm rather confused as to what I need to upgrade to to do this.
On the Adobe Help Center webpage it states that " Advanced Adobe Contribute users can use Adobe Contribute CS3 to add custom HTML code snippets to Contribute pages".
So what is the difference between my version Contribute 3 and Contribute CS3? And I know that there is now CS4 also, so assume that would be even better?
I've spent quite a bit of time on the net trying to get to the bottom of this, and hope that someone will take pity on me and enlighten me!

Joe, I'm told it should be in the Insert drop down menu if it has been enabled by the Administrator. Is there someone else involved with your site who could have disabled this function? I know that similar things have happened to me in the past.
Anyway ... I have some good news to report. I downloaded the free trial of Contribute CS4 from the Adobe website yesterday. It took over an hour to download and I wasn't very optimistic that I would be able to get it to work but I did. There is indeed an "Insert html snippet" function and I have produced a test page with a booking engine on it as a result of inserting some code. I have not yet tested it with audio and video files. I will have the use of the free trial for 30 days so will be able to carry out some more tests before taking the plunge and upgrading.
If you have the minimum system requirements I would say it is worth your giving this a try, Joe
