Instalation Pre-production 8.0.5

I can't install Oracle by typing ./orainst but I'm able to do it
with ./install script.
I have not any problem when creating the database but:
Where is Scott user ?
Where are the help tables for SQL*PLUS ?
Which is the difference between one instalation and other ?
Thanks.

I3ve received the same message when I was trying to create
my database. I suspect the problem is due to the misconfiguration
of SHMMAX variable!
Have you already configured the environment and compiled the
kernel according to the Installation manual?
Where can we set all those variables, i.e., NPROC, SHMMAX,
SHMMIN, MAXUP and so on ?

  • Setting Office 2013 on Windows 8x in Pre-Production Mode

    Hello
We are in the process of evaluating ADRMS for protecting documents. Currently, I have ADRMS running on a Windows Server 2012 x64. I have 2 other machines which talk to this - one with Office 2013 installed on a windows 8.1 set in production mode and another
similar machine having  a custom program based on ADRMS SDK 2.1 APIs.
How can I set the server running ADRMS as well as Office 2013 in pre-production mode? If there are any documents on this, can this be shared or pointed to please
    Thanks
    SN

    Hello,
Does anyone know how to do this or is this done differently?
This is what I want to test to start with - I have a document (docx) and I have protected it using ADRMS SDK2.1 based custom client application. I want to test this protected document by opening using Office 2013 and see if the permissions I set are working.
The custom application is installed on a machine (8.1, set to pre-prod by setting MSIPC & uDRM \Hierarchy to 1)  connecting to a server (Win 2012, set in pre-prod by setting DRMS\Hierarchy to 1) with both ADRMS & ADDS installed in it. For some
reason the client works even with uDRM/Hierarchy set to 0, so not sure what is the relevance of uDRM.
I have the Office 2013 installed on a Windows 8.1 different from the above 2 machines and connected to the above domain. But I am unable to open the document protected by the custom RMS app. In fact, when I try to protect a document created using Word 2013
on this machine it says "The system cannot find the file specified"

  • FCS for animation pre-production

I'm searching for an asset management solution for our animation production. The assets in this case will primarily be designs and storyboards. None of which would be used directly in a FCP project. This would all be part of pre production.
As the artwork moves through the pipeline, having one central location for everyone to work from would be great. Someone recommended FCS and though it looks great I'm wondering if this will work for us.
    Thanks.

Final Cut Server would be a great solution for this needs regardless if you plan to use the digital assets in FCP or not. Final Cut Server can be installed both Windows and Mac OS X. I am assuming that at some point you may use After Effects to produce an animatic and Final Cut Server can be use for this as well. Also if you have a lot of image sequences Final Cut Server 1.5 has native support for image sequences which will also automatically create preview version of the image sequence.
    Hope this helps.

  • Pre-Production Setup for Failover

    Hi
I have installed my SAP Production environment on Window 2008 R2 , SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5, Oracle 11.2.0.3.
I have setup my DR system at different seismatic zone  on Window 2008 R2 , SAP ECC 6.0 EHP5, Oracle 11.2.0.3.
The Oracle Dataguard is used for data replication from Production to SAP DR system.
Now I want to test the failover scenario. I would like to go and install the separate SAP environment in primary site as Pre-Production for DR Test on different hardware box. The system identification (SID) for production and pre-production is same as RP9.
Would like to know that Can I use the same root domain controller (RDC) available at primary site for production and pre-production environment. The domain users are same  for both SAP systems.
Please clarify that does this situation will create any problem to my production or pre-production environment with same root domain controller?
    or
should I go head with different root domain controller for pre-production environment ?
    Regards
    vimal

    Hello
It is not recommended to have SAP systems sharing the same SID in a landscape... at least because it is not possible to have the system in the same TMS transport domain (but this can also have other drawback, especially if both system have client with same logical system name).
Even if it is possible to use the same domain users for two different systems I would not  recommend this option, especially if one of the systems is a production one...
Suppose that for any reason the SAP domains accounts gets locked / modified / deleted ...
Either you create pre-prod system with a different SID (best option) and then you can share the same windows domain, or if you are willing to keep the same SID I would suggest that you install your pre-prod system either in an other domain or in a workgroup...
If your purpose is to test your Oracle DR abilities that is not a domain related mechanism, so you can test it in a workgroup...

I've been working my way though this web page to find a solution to the error...
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- premiere.html
First up, I had the demo version of Elements (which installed and ran perfectly), which I uninstalled before installing the purchased product from Adobe, and re-downloaded the installs from the Adobe shop servers.
I have currently also have a CS6 installation on my laptop.
I ran the ASA tool and all it sees is my CS6 installation.
I went though the windows Program file directories and made sure all Elements stuff was deleted.
I've checked the MSCONFIG to see what Adobe services are running at startup, and I turned off everything that was associated with Adobe.
I've copied the downloaded installer exe and packaged file to a folder on the C: root.
I'm running the installer from there and when it unpacks the files I make sure it unpacks them to the same directory in the C:
The problem seems to be with the 'shared components. The install gets most of the way through installing the Organizer when it quits and rolls back the installation.
No extra info is given by the installer on why it has run into a problem.
I've tried to install Photoshop elements too and that stalls at the same point.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
Could you please share the logs from the location(s) mentioned below:
    %temp%\PREInstall.log, PRE11.log,
    PDApp.log,
    amt.log,
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\<*PRE11*>.log.gz
I'd be able to comment & suggest better once I have the logs but meanwhile, you might like to upgrade the Adobe Application Manager from the following location just to rule out any incompatibilities or upgrade failures of AAM:
    Win: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
    Thanks.

  • Unable to install Pre-Built VM for SOA 11gPS5 appliances

    Hi,
I wanted to install Pre-Built VM for SOA+BPM latest release 11gPS5 on my system and downloaded the appliances from the below link:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/learnmore/vmsoa-172279.html
But I could find one of the installer file size to be just 810 MB instead of 2GB. While extracting oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.001 using 7z, the extraction failed with as error message as below: "Data error in 'oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-ps5-2-0-M.ova'. File is broken. "
Also I could see the processed file size as 14972 MB where as Compresses size as 13098 MB and file oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.007 is 810MB.
Are the expected file sizes for all the oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.001 to oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.007 is 2GB?
Upon running md5sum, every file gave 100% result size, but there is a mismatch in the hexcode as below:
    oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z... 100% 5a57717c6c47eef31ac463abda92dc73 for 2nd file oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.002 (2GB)

Can anybody help in this regard please?
    Many Thanks

Did you check the MD5sum to make sure the download was successful?
    dowload MD5sum.exe
    c:/ MD5sum.exe fille1.......file7
    compare o/p with the given
    http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/products/soa/soabpm/oel5u5-64bit-soabpm-11gr1-ps5-2-0-M.7z.md5sum
    download again the unmatched file
    , then try 2 extract with 7zip

How do I go about getting the product serial number to register my product as well as install my product.  I bought it with a product box.  On the software disc sleeve, there is a series of numbers pasted at the bottom of the sleeves but this is not valid.  When I tried to type this in for registration, it does register as this numbers also contain letters in it.  Apparently the registration boxes accept numbers only.  What do I do with a useless product for which I have paid good money for it?????

This is the simple solution which was offered to me when I tried to get the serial code on line.
The box and disc sleeve do not contain a series with 24 numbers which I presume is the product code to install.
I tried to redeem the registration code by following what they recommended, but inevitably it gets to the page that showed the registration boxes that need 24 serial numbers and I got stuck again.
This product is so different what my previous experiences of other software products where I just enter the serial number straight from the disc sleeve and then I got registered and go on to use the software.
I is really frustrating, spending the last two hours trying to get my product going....

  • Cannot install my product using a long installation path with windows installer when a short installation path works fine

    Hello,
I'm using Visual Studio 2010 to build a msi installer (windows installer 3.5). This msi will install all necessary files, dlls, documentation in order to have my application correctly installed and ready to run. One of my custom action allow to browse the
installation directory the default path is c:\program file\company name\product name). In that case the install works fine ie succesful installation.
However when entering a huge filename (>215 characters and less than 255 chars) such as: C:\Program Files\SITA\SITATEX v8\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789\0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789
    I get a dialog box:
Error writing to file: C:\Program Files\SITA\SITATEX v8\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789\...\Single User Installation Quick Reference Guide.pdf. Verify that you have access
    to that directory
    "Try Again"           "Cancel"
When I hit "Try again" button, I get another dialog box:
The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2350.
And the installation of my product fails.
I can create the huge path (>215 chars) manually with windows explorer without problem. I'm using the same account(Admin) when running the installer and when I create manually the path
Am I reaching the file path limit or? Any clue?
    Thanks for help
    Philippe

    Hi
I have tried to install the product with the following path (198 chars): C:\Program Files\SITA\SITATEX v8\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789\0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQR the
installation did not succeed but this time no dialog box, no error was displayed. The installation just failed
    I then tried with 180 chars: C:\Program Files\SITA\SITATEX v8\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789\0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
with same result. The installation did not succeed and no dialog box, no error was displayed.
    I tried with 175chars
    C:\Program Files\SITA\SITATEX v8\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789\abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789\0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstu
and this time the installation was successful.
I have captured the events with
processmonitor and I have uploaded 2 additional files (LogfilePath175charsSuccessfullInstall.zip and LogfilePath198charsInstallFailed.zip) to Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com) at the same
    place http://cid-35bc4002ff715ab5.office.live.com/browse.aspx/.Public?uc=0 for your attention.
    Thank you

  • I own a Mi Traveler Andriod Tablet and I want to install your product on to it. Is it considered a mobile device?

I need help with installing your product.

It appears that the Mi Traveler only has 256MB of RAM, while Firefox requires 512. I can't find out what processor it has to tell you if that is compatible or not. You can try installing Firefox using the link above, but I doubt it will work.

if you try to install an app that depends on adobe air, you should be prompted to download and install adobe air (unless it's already installed).
you can download and install directly so you're not prompted by that app, Adobe - Adobe AIR

  • Oracle XE Uninstalling Beta2 and installing the production

    Hi
I have uninstalled oracle xe beta2 in windows by deleting the directories and removing the services manually from the registry. After that i tried to install the production version, i am not able to. It is giving an error
"Error applying transforms. Verify that specified transform path are valid
    c:\windows\installer\...\1033.mst."
After that as per the docs i tried using windows "Add/Remove programmes" , i am not able to do this
    Please help with a solution.

I was able to uninstall the Old Agent using the following command from all of the RAC instances. Can someone help me how can I install the Agent w/o using OUI.
    ./runInstaller -deinstall -silent "REMOVE_HOMES={/oracle/product/10.2.0/oem_1/agent10g}" -removeallfiles
    Thanks
