Install Issue with 1st Cloud Program

I run Win 8.1 (64-bit) on a laptop with 12 GB ram. Boiling it all down, to solve this problem,I uninstalled ALL Adobe applications that ran fine prior to CC membership. Then, I installed the cloud dektop app, and attempted to install InDesign. The installation FAILED telling me to close Image Read (which isn't on my system). Any ideas?

Before stating my solution, let me clarify that the install aborted for both Photoshop CC as well as InDesign., and the error said I needed to close ImageReady, which I don't have on my system. Second, I had no Adobe Cloud products before.attempting to install InDesign as my first cloud application. After successfully installing Acrobat Pro without any issues, I devedcloser into the system.
In Task Manager, I temporarily disabled all processes showing Abobe products (associated with the version of Acrobatthat I installed, which started them upon rebooting).
In services I stopped a service called StorageCraft ImageReady. This program does not appear in my list of programs showing in Control Panel Add/Remove programs but may be needed for image backup programs (I have to research further).
I also temporarily shutdown Windows Frewall.
InDesign and Photoshop successfully installed, and InDesign automatically updated.
I reenabled the firewall, services and processes, and everything appears to be ok. We will see about how the programs update, but for now since Acrobat Pro, Photoshop andInDesign are all I need from the AdobeCloud lineup, I'm good.

  • Issue with Creative Cloud program itself - Won't launch

    Hi,
I'm having an issue with CC.
The app is launched and it opens. I enter the email address and password. It thinks for a while and then disappears from the screen.
The icon is there in the systray and as soon as you click on it, the applications appears again but is blank and there is a small window on top of the main with the CC logo on it but that's all.
End task is the option to close it.
I searched the KM and saw a reference on deleting the OOBE folder in the Users area but all this did was to force it to ask again for login details and then did the same thing.
I've had this issue previously and I think I uninstalled the CC app and reinstalled it. This forced ALL the installed adobe programs to be redownloaded and installed again, which I'm hoping to avoid that and having to sort out all the plugins again.
    Win 8.1
    i7 quad core
    32GB ram
Could I please get some advice so I can get my daughter in action again?
    Thanks

HollyTAust removing and reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop application should not cause you to need to reinstall you already installed Creative Cloud Desktop application.
If reinstalling resolved your difficulties previously then please try removing and reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop application.  If you then face difficulties with your Adobe applications not being listed properly please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.

  • Hi, my email is saying that there is issue with I cloud. Any ideas?

Hi, my email is saying that there is issue with I cloud. Any ideas?

There is a server issue with iCloud email right now effecting some users (see http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/).  You'll just have to wait until they get things fixed again.
Hotmail doesn't use iCloud's mail servers so it wouldn't be effected by this.

  • Issues with Creative Cloud for teams deployment workflow

The Adobe Creative Cloud for teams IT Deployment Guide lists out steps for IT admins to deploy the CS6 applications and then have their end-users license the trial software with their Adobe IDs once they have been invited to the team. There are two major issues with this document.
First, the media that is on the FTP is not for North American English. We are working to get that posted on the FTP site ASAP. In the meantime, you can find the CS6 MC media from: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/
[Note: Getting media from that page requires the use of the Adobe Download Assistant which is very consumer focused. Sorry about that.]
Second, in order to have the ability to login properly with a Creative Cloud for Teams account the system needs to have the latest copy of Adobe Application Manager installed. If you do not do this step the end user will be prompted for a serial number.
Unfortunately the Adobe Application Manager can’t be packaged with AAMEE nor is it a native installer. I know, I know! Here are the links to the Adobe Application Manager installers:
    Windows: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
    Mac: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
It can be installed from command line by:
    Win: <Path to Setup.exe>Set-up.exe –mode=silent –action=install
    Mac: <path to ASU> /ASU/Install.app/Contents/MacOS/Install –mode=silent –action=install

    Hi Boncker,
I see that you have an active Subscription under your account . Please launch any of the installed product and when you get the trial prompt , please click on License this software and then Enter the Adobe Id & Password for the account that you have accepted the invite .
Please do let us know if that worked for you or not .

  • Download/Install Error with Creative Cloud App

I have Windows 7... I have been a Creative Cloud member since the beginning... I know what I am doing. Anyways... suddenly, the Creative Cloud app that keeps track of your apps and updating them, etc. is jacked up. As far as I can tell, nothing changed on my end... perhaps Creative Cloud updated itself and caught a bug? When you go to the Apps tab, it says, "Download error, the Creative Cloud installation is no longer functioning, please uninstall and download again..." which I did twice now... rebootted and all that good stuff... the other tabs work - ie. Home, Assets and Community... and yes, I am signed in properly and have an active account. This isn't the first time this app has been a problem... Adobe has seemed to have issues with this app for awhile now - off and on... and from what I can see in the various forums, it's not just me with these issues.

WebWorxTech which error are you currently experiencing?  Is it only a download error or are you still prompted to uninstall?  If you are prompted to uninstall then please see Error "Failed to Install" Creative Cloud Desktop application - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/failed-install-creative-cloud-desktop.html.

  • Issue with XML bursting program

    Hi All,
We have a Oracle concurrent program which generates PDF output using XML data and RTF template. This output is sent as attachment to a designated user using XML bursting.
The issue that we are facing is, the mail is sent to the recipients correctly when the program is run from my login. But when the same is run from anyone else’s login, the bursting program fails.
Suppose the receiver’s email id is [email protected], the error faced is
[oracle.apps.xdo.batch.DeliveryHelper][EXCEPTION] javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Illegal character in domain in string ``[email protected]@xyz.com''
On examining the XML bursting program log file for successful and error runs, I could see the below property in the log file-
For successful run: [SMTP_TO_RECIPIENTS:String] [[email protected]]
Whereas for unsuccessful run: [SMTP_TO_RECIPIENTS:String] [[email protected]@xyz.com]
Any pointers in this regard are highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Kiranmayi.

    Thanks for your quick response.
I believe the HP printer is an old one and I did have a couple of issues with it while using XML Publisher. However we've overcome those issues.
We have installed xpdf and have been using the pdf2ps utility. We have PASTA set up and printing works fine when Bursting is not used.
Is there some change I have to make to the configuration file/Bursting Control file to be able to use this pdf2ps utility to print to this Printer?
Nevertheless I will also try using ipp on one of our newer printers...
    Thanks,
    Lavina

  • Vertex install issues with 46C - RFC setup?

    Dear Fellow SAPoniSeries'ers,
    We have installed the Vertex Q Series tax software with our SAP 46c implementation and we are having issues with the Remote Function Call (RFC) setup. We know that Vertex and SAP programs need to have the same "signatures" for the LIBRFC service program, and when we finally figured that out, but now we get the following message for the VERRFC but the RFCTEST works ok;
"time out during allocate /CPI-C error CM_PRODUCT_SPECIFIC_ERROR"
It appears that the RFC is trying to run as it does not immediately fail. VERRFC and RFCTEST are both now bound to VERQSU/LIBRFC service program.
We have upgraded to the ASCII database format, we are running OS/400 V5R3 and the Vertex software is Translink 2.0.22.
I would GREATLY appreciate any advice or lessons learned.
    THANK-YOU!
    Tim Murphy
    Nalge Nunc International
    Rochester, NY USA

Tim, I don't recall just how we fixed this, but we had the same isses.  Here is a cut/paste from an email I have from Vertex...this is a bit old, but may give some insight:
In the past, we have encountered issues when customers upgraded their SAP
Kernel on the AS400 (ex: going from LIBRFC 44 to LIBRFC 48)with a different
version of the SAP service program. For convenience  Vertex started
providing a backup LIBRFC file in the event a problem was encountered that
caused calls to Translink (VERRFC) to fail because of incompatible or
unmatched signatures in a newer release of SAP's LIBRFC.
We have also encountered similar issues when upgrading Translink, as you
became aware when you applied your recent Vertex 3.0 & 3.1 upgrades.
Because we need to be compatible with various releases of R/3, we provide a
renamed copy of SAP's LIBRFC that we used at time of binding. This file is
    LIBRFCBCK.
In the event of a signature violation, the Vertex LIBRFCBCK can be renamed
in-place to LIBRFC and Translink will find this version of the Service
Program first. Translink (VERRFC) will always look locally for the file. If
not found, it will find the one SAP provides in the SAP instance and
    attempt to use it.
Volker, we use Vertex, issues with ASCII, ECC6.0?

  • Install issue with CD drives / and burning

I am running Windows Vista 64 on a new computer I built (latest ASUS P5K-E with a quad Q6600 cpu and 4gigs of RAM). I transferred all my music and installed iTunes. Everything is working fine except for the burning of disks. It did give me a prompt at the end of the iTunes install and on first startup that there may be a problem recognizing the CD drives. However, there is no problem importing music on those CD/DVD burner drives -- but I cannot burn on those drivers. I can burn using other software on these drives -- no issues with the drives at all. Under iTunes "Preferences", and 'Burning' it states "No supported Disk burners found". Both are Lite-on CD/DVD burner drives and less than a year old -- and of course worked on the old XP computer with iTunes. I have uninstalled, reinstalled iTunes -- no luck. Any ideas? This looks to be something in the Registry on install, but not sure what to do. Any help appreciated.

You may need the CD Configuration folder too, after you install the drivers.
Here is the CD Configuration folder, with the Files you need Just Unzip it and place the CD Configuration Folder into Your C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes Directory
    http://stahlhammer89.com/apple/CD_Configuration.zip
I had my friend with Windows Vista x86 Install iTunes and give me the Folder and Files I needed.
    Hope this helps you

  • Will Acrobat 9 work with Creative Cloud programs?

I recently purchased a Creative Cloud subscription and although it comes with Acrobat XI I was wondering if Acrobat 9 will still work with the Creative Cloud programs, specifically Photoshop CC, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Anyone have experience with this? I've found that Acrobat XI being installed doesn't allow me to run Acrobat 9.

    Hi,
If you already have a higher version which is Acrobat XI , you will not be able to install Acrobat 9 as it is an older version.
If you wish to install Acrobat 9 , you would have to uninstall Acrobat XI first .
    Thanks.

  • 7.6.1 has install issues with XP Home

On a clean install of XP Home, both iTunes 7.6.1 and 7.6.0.29 fail installation and show an alert that "itunesphotosupport.dll" cannot be accessed because it does not have permission. However, I'm signed in as Administrator.
I've tried downloading with both IE7 and FF, but the result is the same. Even went back to a restore point created after XP was updated and before any additional programs were installed.
Judging from the number of users who are having issues with 7.6 one has to conclude that the program was released prematurely. I'm not going to sell my Apple stock, but wish they would stop imitating Microsoft.

I would like to get an install log:
    1. Choose Run from the Start menu.
    2. Type cmd and press Return.
    A command prompt window appears.
    3. Drag the iTunesSetup.exe (make sure it is iTunes 7.6.1) file from
your desktop or downloads folder into the window.
    4. Type a space and then this text: /l*v C:\log.txt
    5. Hit Return
The iTunes installer runs and creates log.txt in your C:\ drive.
    6. Attach that log.txt file to an email back to me <[email protected]>.

  • MultiMedia Center for Think Offerings install issues with Vista

    Hello,
I recently upgraded my ThinkPad Z60m to Vista by doing a clean install from disk.  Since this process involves manually installing each of the ThinkPad utilities manually (no pre-built image for Vista, only XP), I have ran into some issues with the installer for the MultiMedia Center for Think Offerings.
According to the Support & Download page, there are two downloads available for the Z60m and both have issues (or errors) that are preventing me from installing the application.  Below are the two products and reasons for not installing:
"MultiMedia Center for Think Offerings for Windows XP and 2000"
Problem: Does not install on Vista
Error message: "Could not open \device\physicalmemory"
"MultiMedia Center for Think Offerings for Windows Vista"
Problem: ThinkPad Z60m is not a supported
Error message: "This program is not for machine type 2529EAU"
What I am looking for is an installation of MultiMedia Center for Think Offerings that supports users who have upgraded from XP to Vista (or downgrade depending on your feelings of Vista  ).  I have not found anywhere saying that upgrades from XP to Vista are not supported, so I should expect that software updates should be available for ThinkPad products on either platform.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I recently did a clean install of Win7 Ult on my X61 7676A24, and this is the only Lenovo software that I could not find a Win 7 solution for. However,
    1. I was able to load WinDVD8 upgrade (from Lenovo's Win7 information page) after first loading the WinDVD5 version that was the last good release for Vista.
    2. The Multimedia Center for Think Offerings is basically Roxio's suite for writing cd/dvd's, drag to disc and so on.
Since I could not load this anyway, I was forced to try out Win7's inbuilt cd/dvd writing - it works perfectly well.  Even better, Win7 natively supports an excellent ISO burning tool. So, I think if you explore these inbuilt tools, you can probably live without the Mul Cent for Think Off.

  • I have three issues with Creative Cloud

I have three issues with CC:
    1. I want to be able to EDIT my work when I don't have income. The desktop model supported this. The cloud model does not, and that is unacceptable.
    2. Adobe can keep raising the price, because they will be holding us all hostage. Sure at some point a percentage of CC users would drop off, but all that means is that Adobe can milk the absolute most from us using this model. It's not a vehicle for innovation, it's a vehicle for exploitation.
    3. F--- the cloud. I'll be keeping my work on my laptop, thank you very much.

what's your home version (click help>about) and was that just a warning so you were able to open the file?

  • Multiple issues with Creative Cloud File Syncing

I'm have issues with syncing files on my mac to Adobe Creative Cloud. I don't seem to have issues syncing via drag and drop to my web browser. I keep getting this error while syncing via finder:
I also have a fairly complex PSD with folders that i'm toggling on and off using Layer Comps. I don't see any difference when switching Layer Comps within Extract in the browser. I do see the changes when turning on and off the folders though.. What's the deal with that?
Why does it take so long to render the PSD after I turn on a folder or switch layer comps? It takes about 30 seconds to re-render, which is crippling for our workflow.
This would be an amazing tool for our developers if these 3 issues were resolved.

    Thanks for the information.
Could you now send me some log files please..
The log files can be found here:
    Mac: /Users/<yourusername>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/
    Windows: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync\
The logs have the date in the filename, like "CoreSync-2014-03-25.log". Please compress (zip) all the CoreSync-2014-MM-DD.log files and email them to me directly at [email protected]
