May be some other LDAP(Directory) server is running on the same port 389, and now this installer could not bind the same port. Hence the error, I guess. Please stop any other Directory servers running on the same port 389. And uninstall/remove the partially installed iAS. Then install again, this should work.
Please get back for any further information. Thanks for using our web forum.

LDAP error 49: OID login failed in Oracle 10g
Hi All,
Am new to Oracle-10g stack. Following is the error while login to "Oracle Directory Manager".
LDAP: error code 49 - 8009030C:LdapErr: DSID-0C090336, coment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 2030, va28
I forgot the password for su user("cn=orcladmin"), may be I might have locked it also, am not sure.
What is the best way to get back to normal life?. How can I get/reset password for cn=orcladmin account to access OID?
With my R&D I found the following way and here is the result.
ora-infr/bin> oidpassword connect=orcl unlock_su_acct=true
OID DB user password: mypassword
OID super user account unlocked successfully
or-infr/bin> odisrvreg.bat -p 389 -D cn=orcladmin -w mypassword
Invalid Credentials
See the following log file in the current directory for details: odisrvreg.err
Would appreciate your detailed answers to this specific question

Use of LdapRealm results in [LDAP: error code 32 - No Such Object]
Hi,
I'm testing with the example 'basic-auth' of the SJSAS7 2004Q2 with the LdapRealm.
This little test app can successfully authenticate my user against LDAP.
package de.zdf.qmv.helloworld.test;

env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, "uid=myuser,ou=ddd,o=ccc,o=bbb,o=aaa");
env.put(Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS, "mypwd");
try {
DirContext ctx = new InitialDirContext(env);
ctx.close();
} catch (Exception e) {

Error : LDAP Error code 32 - in shared services export operation
Hi everyone !
I m using MS Active Directory in my Shared services for external authentication.
while exporting provisioning for all users against project:applications , it is not working
Trace error is :

Thank you
Edited by: user11966901 on May 27, 2010 2:43 AMBelow is the solution we got when we had kind of same issue:
Steps To Reproduce:
Install the OIM AD base connector version 9.1.0
Upgrade the Connector to OIM 9.1.0.1 version using Patch 7553764
Provision a user from OIM to AD.
Cause
The OIM 9.1.0.1 patch contains a fix that can handle special characters in the process form. But there is special character like hyphen (-) in Root Context value (for example: 'OU=X-Test OU,DC=mydomain,DC=com' ) inthe IT Resource it causes provisioning to fail.
Solution
In this case the user is being provisioned to a Organization called 'X-Test OU' under the mydomain.com domain in the AD. There is Lookup called 'Lookup.ADReconciliation.Organization' which is populated using the Schedule task called "AD Organization Lookup Recon". This lookup is also used in the AD User
Process Form for populating the Organization Field.
-- To implement the solution, please execute the following steps::
Edit the Root Context value in the IT Resource to point above the OU=X-Test OU organization. So it looks like dc=mydomain,dc=com.
Run the Schedule task called "AD Organization Lookup Recon" by providing dc=mydomain,dc=com value to Search Base parameter in the schedule task. This recon would populate the 'Lookup.ADReconciliation.Organization'.
Now provision a user to AD resource and in the process form selected the OU=X-Test OU as the Organization.
This way the user gets successfully provisioned and gets created under the 'OU=X-Test OU,DC=mydomain,DC=com'

LDAP Error 50 configuring OC4J in 9ias Rel 2
Hello everybody,
I'm trying to install 9ias Rel 2 on a Windows 200 Server machine.
Unfortunatly after 3 tries i'm continuing receiving the following error during the OC4J configuration step in a Business Intelligence Installation type ( i want to say first that all the Infrastructure installation and configuration was successfully executed and that i stopped the EM before starting the OAS installation to avoid to have conflict with the dcmctl tool):
The configuration files for this Oracle9iAS instance are inconsistent with the
configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository,
no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. Please check the logs located at
ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs to determine why DCM was unsuccessful in updating
the configuration files on disk. Some possible causes are:
- permissions on files
- file contention issues on Windows NT
- EMD and dcmctl running concurrently
- internal Oracle error
After resolving the problem that prevented DCM from updating the configuration
files, you may use the dcmctl resyncInstance command to resolve the problem.
Alternatively, you can stop and then restart the active dcmctl or EMD
process and resyncInstance will automatically be performed.
The dcm.log says:

Can anyone help me? It's really urgent and i spent a lot of time without solving it yet.
Thanx in advanceI have had the same problem getting any dates from Oracle as well but after talking to Oracle and bugging them about it here is the response I received:
Sun Solaris before May 31
MS Windows - Solaris date + 8 weeks
Red Hat 7.1 - Solaris date + 1 week
SuSe SLES7 - Solaris date + 1 day
True64 - Solaris date + 4 weeks
I don't know how reliable these dates are but I thought I would pass on what I have been told, since some information is better than none. -

I am trying to do an AD=>OID synchronization and keep encountering the error message as follows -
ERROR: [Fri Dec 15 13:26:37 CST 2006] Writer Thread - 0 - [LDAP: error code 19 - Admin domain does not contain schema information for objectclass user.]
Can Someone please enlighten me as to what I may be doing wrong - does this relate to permissions (or lack thereof) on the AD side or the OID side?
Thanks
JoeI did - went through the note and did what it asked - still no success - one thing that is strange is that the filter in a 10.1.2.0.2 install works with the double " around the search filter. Wonder what has changed in a 10.1.4 install that necessitates removing the double quotes around the search filter.

I'm trying to install itunes 10.6 on windows 7 home premium. it downloads the software and starts to install. I receive an error: "an error occurred while attempting to create the directory c:/program data/apple/installer cache" I click retry several times and no luck so I have to click cancel and it rollsback the installation. I have downloaded a new copy of the installer from another computer and receive the same error. I dropped the UAC on the system to none. That did not work, it give me the same error. I have tried renaming the Installer Cache to a temp name and when installing again, I the error says it doesn't have the permissions to create the directory. I have gone into the control panel and attempted to repair bonjour, itunes, apple mobile device support, apple software update and quicktime and all of them have reported "The system cannot find the file specified." I have tried running the install package with the right click Run as Administrator and the install cache error still occurs. I have check the security on the file and it has my user name and full control on the parent and all items below.
When I plug in my iphone or ipod, it asks about updating to 5.1, I click download only. I then receive an error window "There was a problem downloading the software for the iphone or ipod. The network connection could not be established"
I don't know if the two problems are related. I'm at a stand still have have no other ideas of what to try next. What suggestions might you have to solve this problem?
Thanks for the help!
JoelI tried to rename the apple computer folder to _old and I received another error with another really funky folder name that looked like a SID. I renamed that and reran.
Crikey. Probably that number (in the folder name) was the SQUID ("squished GUID") for the iTunes installation (or possibly one of the other associated components being installed). In addition to the error 5, that brings us to a total of three of the more exotic things that could possibly happen in this sort of file-access-problem context.
So, excellent work on your part getting past all that. Many thanks for reporting back with your resolution, too. -
Itunes install issues error 7 - Windows error 193
Gents,
I am using Windows 7, had iTunes for years no issues I couldn't solve myself, this time I need help.
When the last update of iTunes came on, I tried to update my version but couldn't do the update (I don't remember the error message details, it just said that I had to re-install iTunes).
So I cleared ITunes and all Apple related softwares from my computer (yes in the recommended order, and yes I rebooted in between) tried to re-installed (numerous times) and I always get the same error messageS:
"Couldn't install ITunes Error 7 (Windows error 193)" and also "ITunes helper was not installed correctly"
When running the installer I get the error message "Apple Mobile device failed to start", even if I ignore this message during the install, I am unable to open iTunes once the install is done. (the install goes through and says install finished).
Note: I also tried to "fix" during the install, it didn't work.
Context / Trials / Notes:
- I tried to "repair" the Apple Mobile Device in programs (unsuccessfully)
- I had 2 Apple Mobile Device services, so after a complete un-install and reboot, I manually (command prompt) remove the last service
- In all my un-install attempts I went on the C: drive and made sure ALL folders were cleared of apple / iTunes traces. Delete ITunes setup file, empty the recycle bin of course, reboot etc)
- Windows is up-to-date - No viruses (using Malwarebyte/ AVG & Spybot).
I am at a loss, spent a lot of hours on the computer and on forums, but couldn't find the fix.
I would greatly appreciate your help, this is getting on my nerves and I really need to change the music on my iphone ! (lol)
thank you in advanceIf the above hasn't helped then for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
Disabling your AV during installation may sometimes help.

LDAP Error 17 when synchronizing E-Bus suite with OID
Hi all,
I have followed the instructions in Metalink note 233436.1 with a brand-new 11i instance and brand-new 10.1.4 identity management instance (on Linux). I also have followed the instructions in note 417706.1 to fix the issue where the ODISRV would not start up. Now, ODISRV is running, and provisioning events are coming from apps to oid (I used the appstooid profile - only want new e-bus users to create oid users and not vice-versa).
My problem is that the ODISRV is not applying changes. The log is full of these:

Anyone seen this before?
Thanks and regards,
JohnJohn,
I think I am having a similar problem. In my case, I receive LDAP Error 17 when trying to build new attributes, under attributetypes. oidadmin seems to indicate that there is such a thing as "attributetypes", attempting to modify subschemasubentry, adding attribute "attributetypes" returns the LDAP error 17.
Isn't this error telling us that your "orclodipprofilemetric" isn't in the schema anywhere and you have to recreate it? Or could this be a case of misspelling in a script somewhere, where "orclodiprofilemetric" (only one "p") is meant, but fat-fingered.

Synchronization errors with AD: LDAP error code 65 : orclObjectSid
I'm trying to get synchronization working - importing data from Microsoft AD.
The bootstrap seemed to go ok, and the synchronization is up and running - but I still get errors in the profile's trace file as follows at the end of this post.
The error always seem to complain about the orclObjectSid attribute
Do I need to do anything to the OID schema?
Or is this a mapping problem?
Either way, how would I correct this error?
Thanks!!

It was a bit of a "clutching at straws" solution - but it does seem to have worked.
I'm not sure why the data being imported had such a value, but the synchronization hasn't thrown up any further errors since then.
Thanks for your help everyone.

Error while create user in LDAP - LDAP: error code 1
Hi Guy's, I am getting below error while creating user in LDAP MS AD.
cn=3001,ou=sAP_IDM,dc=springswf,dc=comcn<mx:TEXT>putNextEntry failed storingOU=SAP_IDM,DC=springswf,DC=com</mx:TEXT>
<mx:LTEXT>Exception from Add operation:javaxnaming.NamingException: {LDAP: error code 1 = 00000000: LdapErr: DSID-OC090AE2, coment: In order to perform this operation a successful bind must be completed on the connection.,data0,vece
Steps I am following:
1. create a job through wizard and pick from (IC->jobs->Active Directory->Create Active Directory User)
2. Destination tab values that I am passing:
dn: cn=Dummyuser,ou=SAP_IDM,dc=<main domain>,dc=com
objectClass: top|person|organizationalPerson|user
sn: Surname
givenName: GivenName
displayName: Dummy user displayname
Under <main domain> an OU has been created called SAP_IDM for testing user creation from IDM.
Admin user account created called <XYZ> and has full control over SAP_IDM OU.
I am passing <XYZ> credentials into my job for user creation.
Thanks for you help!Farhan,
Based on the error message presented,
In order to perform this operation a successful bind must be completed on the connection
Make sure that you're using the correct information to do the AD Bind. User name should be something like cn=administrator,cn=users,dc=xxx,dc=xxx and the proper password.

cannot update or install itunes. ger error message RSVCR80 not installed. windows error 126.
Hey sndlot,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.
