Can i install SAPGUI in my 100 clients from the server.
What are the steps to be taken care before this?

Hi Lijo,
You can use the installation server to deploy your GUI. There is a guide explaining this on you sapgui cd.

Well, MHP doesn't explicitly support it, but if you can implement it, then it's allowed. Implementing it is the hard part :)
The rest of this answer assumes that you're not using DVB-HTML (fairly safe, since no available platform that I know of currently supports it). If this isn';t the case, please ignore the rest of this.
Narakrishna, why do you want to build the GUI on the server and not the client? Given the way that MHP is designed to operate (e.g. like writing any other Java code, where the client running the app handles everything), then doing this will get extremely complex. You're assuming that a return channel exists and is always on, which will not be the case for most users. Since most of the existing MHP implementations use PSTN modems for the return channel if they have one, using an application like this could get very expensive for the user. This situation isn't likely to change in the short term.
It could also be more computationally expensive to render a GUI built on the server than to just build the GUI on the client, since the GUI would eventually have to be converted to Java objects to be displayed. It's much easier to simply build the GUI on the client from Java objects int he first place.
One way of doing someting similar (at the expense of object carousel size and application loading time) would be to hold the descriptions of pre-built GUI components in the oject carousel. You can then update these when you need to. There's a couple of downsides to this approach though:
1) the GUI components are the same for every user
2) depending on what you wanted, you'd still need to do some customisation on the client.
3) you need some way of turning the description in to a real Java GUI component. Maybe you could serialise Java objects for your GUI and do it that way, but I'm not sure.
On the whole, I don't think that this is the best approach to building a GUI for MHP apps due to the limitations of the platform.

Error installing windows from Server 2012r2 / WDS

Hi ! I get that error every time i trying to install windows 7 pro x64 CAPTUREIMAGE from Server 2012R2 standard .
It says it couldnt progress answeringfile (specialize) Answeringfile setup cant use .Error occured when handling component (Microsoft Windows-Shell-Setup) .
So i need to modified that image ? How? Is there tool for that ?

Auto update GUI from server

Goodmorning,
i have installed over server "SAP Setup Administrator server" for mantain a gui with centralized deployment.
I do some upgrade to packages.
For put this new version of package i see in documentation that i must insert an "SAP Automatic service update".
I not found this in marketplace, where are i can found?

Right click your gui icon in the desktop -> configure auto-update -> activate auto-update..

Having trouble switching from Core to GUI with Server 2012...

I am currently in the early stages of studying for the MCSA - Windows Server 2012 R2 and I'm playing around with an Eval copy of Windows Server 2012 R2 DataCenter. I have two separate installs where one is the Full - GUI install and the other is Server
Core. I've learned in my studies that it is possible to switch back and forth between Core and GUI through Powershell cmdlets.
Right now I'm trying to switch from Server Core to GUI and I'm using the following Powershell command:
       Install-WindowsFeature Server-Gui-Mgmt-Infra, Server-Gui-Shell
It starts off like it's going to work but then after about 68% of the way through, I get this:

Any ideas? I installed this Server Core image on a Hyper-V Virtual Machine (using Generation 2), allocating 4GB RAM and 65GB HDD space. I haven't done anything with .Net Framework and I haven't configured the network at all.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You need use the -source option on a non-Internet connected machine.
PLease try the script below:

How to disable GUI from dispalying from CentOS to X server (XManager 3)

i have a RAC system installed and normally login to both boxes remotely using my laptop, at some point i wanted to install the listener using a GUI so i decided to use XManager3 but had problems connecting, so i decided to install the listener on the box itself but now i have a problem because when a run the netca command i get an error

how can i disable X server on my host, because the problem is, when i run the netca command on my host (linux1) it is looking to display it on the X server whereas i just want it to display the GUI from the host console

oh my, another X question.
setup an X server on your local machine (like Xming) or use MAC or linux, and use ssh -X to tunnel X.
the ssh daemon will arrange the DISPLAY, no manual intervention is needed after logging in using ssh -X.

Installing 10.4 Server on a XServe Dual G5 via remote from a MBP 10.5

I have just purchaced a XServe Dual G5 running 10.3 Server. The admin password is lost (purchased it from a auction). So I purchased a original OS X Server 10.4 bundle (CD and DVD). As the XServe lacks a video card I need to install the server remotely via my Macbook Pro running Leopard (10.5). I've installed the Server Tools (10.5 as 10.4 Server tools won't install) and started the XServe with the 1st CD of OS 10.4. The server started from CD and I have found the IP address the server is using in my DHCP list. The hardware address matches the xserve hardware address and a ping <ip> replies. After this all installation steps fail.
I've tried to use the Server Assistant, no servers found, not in the list, not on the IP.
I've tried to use ssh root@<ip address>, no reaction.
I've tried to use /System/Library/Serversetup/sa_srchr 224.0.0.1, no reply.
I've tried to mount the XServe on Firewire, works fine, but OS 10.4 Server won't install via my MacBook Pro, as this is Intel and my original version of 10.4 server is not universal.
I am getting desparate, is there no way that I can install OS 10.4 on this server? I need 10.4 because I run Filemaker Server, and Filemaker Server does not run on 10.5
Any idea's out there? Please?

Hi everyone, thanks for your reply. I've tried most of these solutions and read all the documents. But it didn't help me any futher. At a point I've got the ssh working, at least, got reply from the server that I had to install the ssh key, so there is communication. But then it stopped all together again. Very frustrating.
I've ordered a video card for this XServe @ 234 euro's, out of frustration, so I will be able to install my original OS 10.4 and upgrade it to the lastest 10.4 version.
I suppose that there is no upgrade .dmg from apple that will allow me to upgrade my 10.4 cd's to 10.4.7 (universal) what will create the possibility to install it from my MBP via firewire. I could not find anything.

Why client is downloading update from server while installing sccm client.

Can anybody give answer to my question?
I am new to sccm so when I am installing any client software the ccmsetup.log file is showing connecting to the server for downloading updates and it's taking long time to downloading because the office network is very slow 512kbps.But my setup file size
is 111MB then what updates are downloading from server and is it possible to put that updates in the offline setup.

You can copy the installer from the SCCM client installers from the SCCM server to the local machine.
Refer to the below for the switches for installation.
Use the switch /source:<Path>
to specify the location of the folder for the installers you copied earlir.

Email message won't download from server since installing IOS7

Some of my emails both on my iPad and iPhone won't download from server since installing IOS7!

I'm having the same problem with both my iPhone and iPad after installing iOS7. Checked all the settings and spoke to my email provider and everything is set up properly. It's hit or miss which messages don't download from the server too. And occasionally, a message that does download to my iPad, won't download on my iPhone. Everything on my PC downloads properly, it just seems to be an ios7 issue as this wasn't a problem before. My wife uses the same email provider and is still on iOS6.x with no issues. Any help or suggestions would be great.

Install a FTP Server and GUI on Solaris 2.5.1.

Hi All.
I have two questions.
1. What i have to do to install a FTP server on the installed Solaris 2.5.1 ?
2. How can i install GUI on the same system ?
I've installed Solaris on the Sparc Station, but, by default, the GUI was not installed
on it.
And now, when i turn on the power, i see only the command promt on the screen.
How can i fix this "bug":-)

1) The Sun provided FTP server should already be installed on the system unless the machine has been installed using a minimal install cluster. You might consider using something like ProFTPd. This is a VERY configuration FTP server and is a much better FTP server then the FTPd that comes with Solaris 2.5.1. See http://www.proftpd.org for more info.
2) This is isn't a bug its actually a requirement for most people for servers in production or even development environments. The X "GUI" chews up a not insignificant amount of memory and proposes a security risk. To reactivate the GUI for startup at boot time, run this as root:
/usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -e
This of course assumes all the expected CDE/OpenWindows packages are available on the system. I haven't used CDE in years but I think you need to reboot the system to get CDE to startup correctly and grab the console. Not sure if starting it up while you are logged into the console will work.
P.S. CDE is a PPPIIIGGGG. Run something respectible like Fluxbox or Blackbox. Heck, Gnome and KDE are pigs too but they are still better then CDE - twm is better then CDE LOL :)
3) You said "I've installed ..." - I assume this means recently. You might consider upgrading to a more recent release of Solaris. Solaris 2.5.1 is rather "out of date" - this is not troll bait folks.

Passing Information From Server to GUI

Hi, I'm making a chat client, but I'm having trouble passing information from server's input stream to my GUI. I made two threads, one for sending and one for receiving, and I start them both when I click "connect" after I log in to the server. So what happens is I run my program, the frame appears as I want it to, and then I click connect, and after a little wait the button "unclicks" (or w/e) and nothing happens. I don't know why I am not receiving the messages from the server. If I make the program "GUI-less" it works, I can both send and receive messages via the console. But in the GUI, where I am sending/receiving via my two TextAreas, it doesn't work. Here's my code:

}So, to repeat my questions, SendAndReceive class, but I'm not sure if this is the right approach.why isn't my TextArea (BotWindow.outText) not receiving and setting it's text to the information from the server? Is my threading correct? Also, with the way I set up the threads, will the Send function be able to send in the midst of the receive function? I tried to set it up so that it could by implementing ActionListener in my SendAndReceive class, but I am not sure if this is the correct approach.
P.S. The reason I put this in Swing is because it works without a GUI/Swing components! If it will help, I will post the GUI-less program I made that works.

Kernal Panic upon Boot from Server OSX 10.4 Install DVD Disk

I'm getting Kernal Panic upon booting from Server OSX 10.4 Install DVD Disk.
I wanted to statup from the install DVD to do a repair permissions and repair disk and i'm getting a kernal panic screen. Anyone know why?
Using a Dual 2.3 GHz Power PC G5, OSX 10.4.10, working fine.
Will no longer boot from dvd disk, not even install cds.
Tried other macs same deal, I can't belive that both sets of disks went bad.

There is only one version of the Lightroom program. The Lightroom standalone version, the student version, and the CC version are all the same program. The only difference is in how they are licensed. The standalone version that you are using is activated with a serial number. The CC installation is activated with your Adobe ID and Adobe password. I would suggest that you uninstall your standalone version. Then you will be able to install Lightroom from the creative cloud application manager. The application manager will keep track of updates for you as they are released. And when Lightroom 6 is released you will get it automatically, no additional charge, as part of your creative cloud subscription.
Uninstalling your current Lightroom will uninstall the program, but will leave the catalog and all user files as well as all of your images on the computer. Once you have installed Lightroom from the creative cloud manager you will be able to simply double-click on the desktop icon (which will look just like the old one) and start right where you left off. Everything will be intact, business as usual. I know this because I went through the process I have described when I joined the creative cloud. It happened just as I have described. There were no problems in switching.

VC Redist 2013 cannot be installed on Windows Server 2008 Core

Both vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe have this problem. And it can be reproduced 100%.
But all of them can be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 Core, Windows Server 2012 Core, and Windows Server 2012 R2 Core.
From the log, it seems the installer depends some UI DLLs that are not included in this OS.

I don't think this is a bug. From your description, you want to install VC redist on some servers core for Windows Server 2008, 2012. Based on my knowledge, server core has no graphical user interface (GUI), there is no desktop. Only code written using Windows
application programming interfaces (APIs) can run on Server Core.
