Installing KM on existing EP 6.0 SP11 system

Hi Friends
A) We're running EP 6.0 SP11 on top of J2EE engine stack SP11, we have a requirement to install KM to our dev systems, our installation media is for SR1, I want to know if I can proceed with installing KM in this environment & later upgrade our KM from SP9 to SP11(after downloading the SP11 for KM from SAP marketplace). I heard a comment that we need to go back to SR1 & install portal & KM together. (This is something which is out of question for us, so I want to seek your opinion). Has anybody had a similar experience, if yes pls let me know how you installed KM
Also pls let me know if there is some SAP notes/document on the same which contains SAP's recommendation in terms of installing KM on an existing Portal system.
B) For applying SP11 for CM+colloboration 6.0_640, SAP NW04, SP stack 11 guide mentions about 4 files
1. EP6KMC<SP>_<PL>.SAR,
2. EP6CTRL<SP>_<PL>.SAR,
3. EP6TOOLS<SP>_<PL>.SAR &
4. SAPINST<SP>_<PL>.SAR
For applying SP11 for Portal Platform 6.0_640, SAP NW04, SP stack 11 guide mentions about 4 files
1. EP6CTRL<SP>_<PL>.SAR,
2. EP6TOOLS<SP>_<PL>.SAR
3. EP6PORTAL<SP>_<PL>.SAR &
4. SAPINST<SP>_<PL>.SAR
It appears to me that the files EP6CTRL<SP>_<PL>.SAR, EP6TOOLS<SP>_<PL>.SAR & SAPINST<SP>_<PL>.SAR are the same as the ones used for applying SP11 for Portal, can anybody confirm if these 3 files are common for applying SP11 for Portal & CM.
Thanks & Rgds,
Abhishek

I was able to install KM SP9 on Portal SP11. Please remember, Portal is just a app running on WebAS. KM is another application runs on WebAS and talks to Portal. I do not see any hard dependency unless KM says there is one.
Our installation is successfull and no issues.
There is no need to install Portal and KM together. I am very sure about it.
You can install KM and TREX after you install Portal.

  • [SOLVED] ABS - nasm - install file (nasm.install) does not exist

I was attempting to build the nasm package and I encountered the following error:
==> ERROR: install file (nasm.install) does not exist.
When reviewing the PKGBUILD file there was a line in the header:
    install=nasm.install
ArchWiki (PKGBUILD) explains the install directive
The name of the .install script to be included in the package. pacman has the ability to store and execute a package-specific script when it installs, removes or upgrades a package. The script contains the following functions which run at different times
I removed the install= line and everything appeared to work.  My question is... does anyone know if the install script it was expecting to find did anything special that is going to cause me grief going forward?
    Thx

I figured out what I did wrong.   I copied only the PKGBUILD file out of /var/abs/extra/nasm folder ..  the nasm.install was still in the folder.
Explains why I couldn't find the answer on Google.

  • Target 'install' does not exist in this project ",this is the error i get..

i get this error when i try to install ,with the command : ant install,
a webservice on tomcat, and when i type
ant install it gives me this error:
" Target 'install' does not exist in this project "
i have a file in the same directory with the build.xml named install.xml
and when i type ant build there is no error but by tiping ant install the error above occurs!

ant install will execute the target install. As you did not define the build file, the standard one is taken: build.xml.
These options could be of interest for you:
      -buildfile <file>      use given buildfile
        -file    <file>              ''
        -f       <file>              ''

  • Installing from an Existing ISO Image

I would like to install and configure an Arch Linux system inside a virtual machine and then deploy that image to my laptop as a complete, working system. Is this at all possible? I saw things on the wiki about installing from an existing Linux installation that pointed suggestively in the direction I wanted to go, but it’s not clear to me whether this is doable or how to go about it.
Archiso allows one to create custom bootable media, sure, but, as I understand it, you have to know exactly which packages you want beforehand. You can’t run the system and tinker with it before deploying. Would it make sense to configure the system in a virtual machine and then use that VM’s package list and /etc directory with archiso to make the custom system?

Hi, welcome to Arch. Installing Arch from an existing installation means, if you have Ubuntu installed and want to install Arch from that installation.
If you want to use a VM as your host system, then you need to clone/image the system and restore that image to your host, you can use clonezilla for that.
I use archiso almost on a daily basis, it's very handy to try new things, e.g. a completely different setup from the one you have now. It's no problem to use the package list you made for archiso, for your future system.
I don't see a problem in which packages you should choose beforehand, this mostly is a evolving thing, at least that's how I see it. So, if you have a working archiso, you are adjusting the configs, try it, and add the diff's to your build files, build you ISO, again try, add diff's to build files etc. etc. etc. , you get the point? Happy arching;)

  • How to install IGS for the ABAP trial version SP11

    Hi,
Please can anyone provide me with the steps to install IGS for the ABAP trial version SP11.
Which version of IGS to download?
What are extracting the SAR files what steps should be followed?
    Please advice,
    Thanks,
    sam

    Hi Rich and Sam,
here is some kind of how to guide which hopefully contains all steps you need do perform.
    Best regards
    Matthias
The IGS consists of a directory structure under DIR_INSTANCE/igs (containing folders and configuration files) and executables and libraires under DIR_EXECUTABLE. These excutables and libraries are available on the Service Marketplace in archive igsexe.sar. This file has to be extracted to DIR_EXECUTABLE.
On the Service Marketplace you also find the file igshelper.sar which contains the above mentioned folder structure that must be extracted to DIR_INSTANCE. Normally this comes with a Web AS installation.
Afterwards please go to DIR_INSTANCE/igs/conf and rename the files gfwchart.tpl, xmlchart.tpl and bwgis.tpl to gfwchart, xmlchart and bwgis, see notes 531668, 596825 and 1011372.
To include the IGS to the start of the system you have to add the following to the start profile:
    Start internet graphics server
    IG = $(DIREXECUTABLE)\igswd$(FT_EXE)
    Start_Program_03 = local $(_IG) -mode=profile pf=$(_PF)
Normally parameter _PF is defined as absolute path to the instance profile. If not use the absolute path instead.
To enable HTTP administration you have to add the instance profile parameter:
    igs/listener/http= 4$(SAPSYSTEM)80,administration
HTTP administration access was disabled by default with patch 4, see note 959358.
If your system is a Java only system you must deactivate the RFC listener with the instance profile entry:
    igs/listener/rfc=disable
For using the IGS with Web Dynpro Java you must define the IgsUrl according to note  704604. After a system restart the IGS should be up and running.
You can test if the IGS is up and running with the link http://localhost:4$(SAPSYSTEM)80 or in an ABAP system via report GRAPHICS_IGS_ADMIN.

  • I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit).  It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation."  I am the sole user- please help.

I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit).  It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." This is a stand alone computer and I am the sole user.   Please help.

This is a Microsoft Windows Issue.
    From a MS Support Engineer:
    "Hi,
    ·        Is the computer on a domain?
    ·        Is the issue isolated to only this software or you get the same error message with other software’s as well?
Try the steps below and check if it helps.
    Step 1:
Run the software setup file as an administrator and check if it helps.
    a. Right click on the setup file of the software that you are trying to install.
    b. Select “Run as administrator”.
    Step 2:
Temporarily disable the antivirus software running on the computer and check if you are able to install the software.
    Disable antivirus software
    Warning:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you shouldn't disable your antivirus software. If you have to temporarily disable it to install other software, you should re-enable it as soon as you're done. If you're connected to the Internet or a network while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
    Step 3:
    a. Click Start, type "Local Security Policy" (without quotes) and press enter.
    b. Click on Software Restriction Policies.
    c. In the right pane, double click on the "enforcement".
    d. Select “All users except local administrators”.
    e. Click Ok and restart the computer and check if the issue is fixed."

  • CAN'T INSTALL ITUNES ON MY WINDOWS VISTA 64-BIT SYSTEM

    Hey guys,
I'm having a hard time installing Itunes on my 64-bit Windows Vista system. Everytime I think it's about to finish installing, it shows this message.
Someone, please help me! I haven't had music on my iPhone for 4 weeks now!

Not Windows RT then .  When you say "I've tried both" do you mean the 32- and 64-bit installers for Windows?  In the first instance you should go to http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ - this should detect the version of Windows you are running and offer the correct installer.  It'll look like this:
Click on Download Now - this will download the correct installer for you to run and install iTunes.
There is, however, some anecdotal evidence that the scripts on the Apple site that are supposed to detect the version of Windows you are running may fail for some users - jumping straight to the "Thank you for downloading ..." page with the installer not having been downloaded.  As an alternative, you can go directly to the relevant downloads:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe
of which you'll need the second one.  See turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for more details if you're still having problems with installation; you may also need to consult HP's helpdesk as the error message you report may be symptomatic of a Windows issue, not an iTunes one.

  • Until I installed version 3.6.6 on my XP system I would bring up Outlook Express to send a link by mail. Now, selecting "send link" brings up MS Outlook Office which is not my e-mail default.
