Instant STR TO STO creation during RBATP

Hello Experts,
I would like to get your opinion on how to instantly convert an STR (PreqRel) to STO in APO.
Here is the scenario:
Created an SO in with product P1 at its primary location L1
I have a rule set up in APO wherein if L1 doesnt have stock go to L2 and transfer the stock via STR (this is what is happening right now)
So in the Source location ie L1 in rrp3, there is a SO and Purchase requisition.
In RRP3 view of L2 its STR.
Here are my questions.
I see that in RRP3 view of L1 the Purchase req is always PP firmed. Can we create an PR without this PP firm column checked?
We are running deployment heuristics and then TLB (handled by other team), what does it mean for these systems when STR is PP firmed.
Is there a possibility of creating an STO directly rather than STR. If yes then what is the config setting? I know that STR can be converted through RRP7 in apo. But I dont want the system to create STR at all.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Regards

Hi ,
For creation of non PP-Firmed Orders you should check conversion routines in APO .
PP-Firmed receipts means "system cannot change the receipt quantities, or delete the order, during planning with the production planning heuristics, even if the requirements quantity has changed. However, you can change the receipt quantity or delete the order manually".
STR Step can not be eliminated . Its essential for planning phase to create STR which later should get converted to STO in execution phase .
Hope this helps !!

  • Inspection lot creation during STO return

    Hello Gurus,
is there a trick to trigger inspection lot creation during STO return ?
    Scenario is the following:
    1 - Creation of STO
2 - Supplying plant ships materials... stock in transit
3 - Receiving plant receives materials
4 - Materials with defects -> Receiving plant add new line with return tick on the same material
5 - GI from Receiving plant... stock in transit
6 - Supplying plant receives materials -> Inspection lot has to be created
I used inspection type 08 on Receiving plant w/o success.
    Many thanks.
    Stéphane

No inspection lot is created when we return Materials to Vendor (Plant A) even if we maintain Inspection type 02.
Before STO customizing, Plant B creates a subcontracting purchase order. Next Materials are sending to Vendor (Plant A) and put in "Stock provided to vendor" (Transaction ME2O).
Vendor (Plant B) creates a Repair request (Sales document / Transaction VA01). Next run VRRE to reveice Materials to repair. Inspection lot is automatically created. The usage decision triggers the creation of Service order to manage all the repairing flow. Last step is to deliver Materials to Plant A and create Repair invoice.
Repair request supports all repairing flow (inspection lot, service oder...), especialy status (out of warranty or not).
After STO customizing, I expected the following result:
1° - Return STO to Vendor (Plant A) / ME21N with return tick
    2° - Plant B ships Materials / MIGO wih 101 (SAP converts in 161)
    3° - Stock in Transit
    4° - Materials receive to Vendor (Plant B) / VL10B
    5° - Creation Inspection lot
6° - UD triggered Service order creation
7° - ...Repairing flow with Service order...
    8° - Materials ship to Plant B
    9° - Repair invoice
    10° - Stock in Transit
    11° - Plant B receives Materials
As I said, there are 2 blocking points:
    - Inspection lot not created when Vendor receives Materials
    - Service order not created automatically (because no Repair request to support inspection lot, service order...)
Thanks a lot for your help.
Tell me if you have any questions.

  • Quality inspection lot creation during GR for STO

    Dear Friends,
I have a Scenario for Quality inspection lot creation during GR with respect to STO
    can use inspection type 01
or is there any other inspection type to create inspection lot during GR for STO
    Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Dear Friends,
when i maintain inspection type 08
Inspection lot is created in GR  Plant
    Thanks for that
but when i am moving the stock from  Plant  Sloc A to same plant Sloc B one more inspection lot is cretaed (movment type 311)
if i go to SPRO i can deactivate 311 movement type to avoid creating inspection lot
but it is client level , i need to restrict only for one plant
is there any other way to control  just one inspection lot for one GR
if you are not clear with my writing pls do not hesitate to ask for more information

  • Inspection lot creation during GR with respect to Purchase Order

    Dear Experts,
    Here is my Question
Inspection lot creation during GR with respect to Purchase Order
Inspection type 01 set in the material master
inspection lot will be created during GR for a Purchase order
from my understanding for every GR a inspection lot will be created
    No batch Management
but the requirement is irrespective to GR qty and number of times of GR
we need inspection only one inspection lot
    For Instance
There is a PO for 1000 kg no batch management
now i do GR for 100 kg for 10 times with different dates
now i need to have only one inspection lot
not 10 inspection lot for each 100 kg
can any one suggest a solution, please advise my understanding is correct
    Many thanks
    Raj

    Dear Raju,
There is a solution for that .The setting can be done two ways, either in the material master or in the configuration
    1) Material Master
MM02> QM View> Inspection Setup> 01> Control Insplot> 'X' An inspection lot for each purchase order item/order item 0r  An inspection lot for each material document and material
    a) 'X' An inspection lot for each purchase order item/order item
    This Means
This setting is limited for use with the inspection lot origins 01 and 04.
An inspection lot is only created during the first goods receipt for each PO item or production order.
    b) '1' An inspection lot for each material document and material
If you set this indicator, the system creates only one inspection lot for a material document (in a goods receipt transaction) for each material. This setting is useful, if several purchase orders or partial deliveries are processed for the same material in a goods receipt transaction.
    2) You can do this default in the config
SPRO > Quality Management >  Quality Inspection > Inspection lot creation >  Define Default values for inspection type > 01> Control Insp lot
    Hope this helps

  • STR to STO conversion fine with ME59 but not ME59n ????

    Hi Guys,
We are planning on moving to ME59n for PR to PO conversion.
    When I try to convert STR to STO with ME59n  it is giving me the error message ;
    - Item category U not allowed with document type
    - Doc. type UB should be used for suppl. site DC06 and receiving site 2059
    - Vendor RA005 is regular vendor for article 107132
    - Doc. type/item cat. ZC/U (requisition) <->  /U (purch. order)
    - Can delivery date be met? (Realistic delivery date: 29.08.2011)
    - Requisition could not be converted
Whereas when we use ME59 it is all good... I have no clue why. Anyone have any idea?
    Cheers
    Julien

    Hi Julien,
Enjoy transaction ME59N use MEPO logic, which is a little different than ME59N.
    Please, check following customizing:
    - Tcode OLME
      > Purchasing
      >> Purchase Order
      >>> Define Document Types
Link purchase requisition - document type
Check if you have a correct link between allowed PR -> PO.
You can also make use of BAdI ME_BSART_DET, in order to propose a different document type based on your own logic.
Hope it helped you to solve your issue!
    Cheers,

  • Error: 3816: Local System Creation during install was not successful.

    Hello,
This is our first time installing Oracle Wokflow 2.6.3 Standalone.

Software component sap.com/LM-TOOLS with version 7.00.9.3 is found on the system but in the stack it is listed with version 7.00.9.0.
Software component sap.com/SAP-JEECOR with version 7.00.9.1 is found on the system but in the stack it is listed with version 7.00.9.0.
You are trying to upgrade a system with the lower version of sap.com/LM-TOOLS and sap.com/SAP-JEECOR. The other thing I notice is that if you are upgrading to  EhP4/EhP1 NW then the version of LM and SAP-JEECOR should look something like 7.01.3.0.
Are you using MOPZ to download EhP's ? As the error message says synchronize the system with SAP Solution Manager and then generate a new stack file.
    Hope this helps.

  • Automatic contract creation during BP creation

    Hi Experts,
Please give me the configuration part for the below functionality
Create a contract account automatically when we create a new business partner or a new role for an existing business partner.
    Regards,
    Srikanth.M

Automatic Contract Account Creation During BP Creation
    Use
You can use this function in Media Sales and Distribution to have the system create a contract account automatically when you create a new business partner (BP) or a new role for an existing business partner. For example, this is useful when processing orders in Media Product Sales and Distribution that require an existing contract account for processing.
If a contract account already exists for the business partner, the system does not create an additional one.
    Prerequisites
You have activated the business function  Media, Subscription Management 2 (MED_MSD_1). If you use SAP Media Sales and Advertising North America Extension, please see also the release notes for this business function.
You should have assigned a contract account template to the role in question in the Customizing settings for the SAP Business Partner for Media Companies under Contract Account Assignment ® Define Contract Account Templates. If you create a business partner in several roles and different templates are assigned for these roles, you can specify a priority to determine which contract account the system is to use as the template.
Please note that you need a template business partner in order to create a contract account template. The contract account template must not have an incoming or outgoing payment method, since these fields are business partner-specific and would be overwritten by the function for automatic contract account creation.
    Features
The following functions can be used to create a new contract account automatically during business partner creation:
    ●      Maintain Business Partner (transaction BP)
    ●      Data transfer function for the SAP Business Partner (transaction KCLJ)
    ●      Creation in background processing (used in the Customer Interaction Center, in the Internet Application Components, and in fast entry)
Please note that you cannot create a contract account automatically if you create business partners using the BAPI BAPIBUSISM007_CREATEFROMDATA.

  • Can anyone help with a method to ignore GR Processing Time during STO Creation?

On my current client, we have a unique business scenario where we need to maintain GR processing time to reflect "incubation or hold" time for products after production. It is absolutely necessary that the products should not be available to ship to the customers until this "incubation or hold" time is elapsed and the products are inspected & ready for customer shipments. However, the products can be shipped to other DCs within the client's internal network while the products are under "incubation" as it can take place while the products are in-transit. Therefore, the products are available for shipping immediately after production within the client's internal network of DCs. This is why we need a mechanism to ignore the GR processing time while the products are shipped on STOs within the network. At the same time the GR processing time should be considered while the products are shipped against customer SOs outside the network.
To explain the scenario a bit further, this is a simple scenario: Factory A --> DC1 --> DC2. Factory A produces products to be stored and DC1, which ships to its own customers as well as to DC2 to fulfil customer demand at DC2. "Incubation" time of products is performed in DC1. Therefore, Sales Orders at DC1 should not be able to ship until this "incubation" time has elapsed at DC1. This can be accomplished by maintaining GR processing time equal to "incubation or hold" time at DC1 and it works well for Sales Order and its Delivery ATP check. On the other hand, STOs from DC1 to DC2 can ship immediately after production while the product is still under "incubation" as the required hold time can elapse while the products are in-transit between DC1 and DC2. Therefore, STO & its Delivery ATP check should consider production from factory A to be immediately available after production. Note that the incoming production from factory A is represented by an STR between factory A and DC1. Per my research this functionality is not available in standard SAP as GR processing time is considered in ATP check for both SOs and STOs. However, if anyone knows of a way to separate out ATP check for SOs and STOs where SO considers GR processing time while STO does not then that would greatly help.
    Appreciate any suggestions or solutions.
    Regards,
    Jagjeet.

  • STO creation against the Work Order

How to specify the source plant or source storage location within PM Work Order for the components/materials.
Currently on the components page of work order, we can specify the material and vendor. In our case the vendor is other storage location within same plant or diff. plant.
How can we specify the source in components page so that PRs and reservations are created correctly.
In details here is the problem-
During work order (PM Order) creation user is specifying a non-stock material and issuing storage location "0002". The material will be issued by sto. loc. 0002.
Storage location "0002" sources this material from other storage location "0001".
So we want to generate a Purch Req. with item category "U", account assignment 'F" (with work order) and ability to specify the source plant-storage location.
But the system is creating a normal expense PR with account assignment "F" to the work order. This PR is having grayed out item category so not able to convert into Stock Transport STR by specifying the source plant and storage location.

    Hi MM
Have you solved your problem? What did you do to create the STR?

  • Duplicate Batch number creation during MIGO wrt PO

    Dear al SAP
We have activated batch management at material level and set external number range. During MIGO say for the first line item, I have entered external batch number as 123. If I give the same batch number for the second line item of the same material code, system should throw an error message.
Pls explain in detail SPRO setting required for this.

In Logistics General -> Batch Management -> Creation of New Batches -> Define Batch Creation for Goods Movements select the option "E" Manual and check against external number range

  • Intercompant STO working during MRP run.

    Dear Experts,
How intercompany stock transfer works during MRP run?
I mean if one company is purchaser and other is vendor and purchaser company's planned delivery time is 10 days and replenishment time in other company is 3 day then will system consider these two times in creating purchase requisition in first plant ( in MD04)?
    Regards
    Deepak Sharma
    9818263889

    Hi,
Say your purchaser is plant A, vendor is plant B. STO can make by spl.procurement key 40 in MRP2 view in plant A.
If you create requirement in plant A, system will create planed order for that material. In plant A, system will consider only planned delivery time of 10 days.
In plant B, system will create dep requirement. suppose if stock is not available that time system will consider to replinishment the material as 3 days.
This 3 days will not consider in Plant A.

    Dharma

  • PO/STO Creation based on Stock Levels

    Dear all,
We have the following scenario to be configured.
    1. When PO/STO being created, if stock is available in DC, STO should be created.
    2. If Stock in DC is zero, PO should be raised against a specific vendor
    How can this be achieved?
    Thanks,
    Satish

    Hi
    What is DC?
If you use MRP type VB in material master MRP view and maintain reorder level as 100 EA, then whenever stock fall below 100 EA in that Plant a PR will be generated.
If you have sourcelist and info record with fixed vendor then source assigned PR will be generated then that PR can be made as automatic PO in ME59.
If you have scheduling agreement and sourcelist with MRP relevency indicator 2, then instead of PR, schedule line will be created during MRP run if the stock is below 100EA
Hope it will solve your problem
    Regards
    Antony
