Integrating LOTUS and SAP

Hello there. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to be posting in or not, but if it isn't, can someone please point me in the right direction.
Anyway, my question pertains to integrating SAP and Lotus to be interchangeable with one another. Currently I'm exporting information from SAP into an excel spreadsheet. I've successfully been able to load this information into a Lotus database from excel. However, I don't want to constantly have to keep taking information from SAP, putting it into a spreadsheet, and then upload it into the Lotus database to make it up-to-date. My goal is to have a query in SAP where I can go in and edit/add information there...then once I edit/add in SAP, the information on the Lotus database will be updated with out me ever having to go into Lotus to change anything. Can someone please explain to me how I can go about doing this? I hope I am being clear in my explanation. Thanks for the help in advance.

You'll have to ask the question at the LOTUS side too.
SAP can communicate with external softwares using files, RFC, web services, essentially (I probably forget a few ones).
For example, you could make a program in LOTUS that calls an RFC function module at SAP side. You have to install RFC SDK at LOTUS side to build your program. It is delivered in "many" languages: C, java, ... vba is also possible. See downloads at SAP marketplace, and RFC documentation in the abap library.

  • Cannot start widget - Ensure that SAP Business One Integration Service and SAP Business One Event Sender Service have been started

    Dear Experts .
I'm trying to enable widget for my company db but getting the following error :
Ensure that SAP Business One Integration Service and SAP Business One Event Sender Service have been started; then wait 1 minute and try again
I can connect to the B1iF locally and remotely .
I have the db configured in the SLD and connects successfully .
I have the event sender service and proxy started and configured for the company db.
I can access the Dashboard web portal and login with database sap credentials (but I see nothing there)
I've checked that there are no duplicate entries in the SSLD table for SBO common (note : 1619422)
I've also tried to re-activate the xelcious from the B1iF->control.
    My Setup :
I'm runing SBO server, B1iF installed locally and B1iSN installed on a 3rd party server.
I'm using B1iF as even forwarder for B1iSN.
I know this has been discussed many times through out the forum and I've tried most of the stuff other than clean install.
I would appreciate any input before removing B1iF completely and re-installing.
    Thanks in advance ,
    Nadav.

  • Director and SAP

    Hi
Has anyone any experience in integrating Director and SAP
    Cheers
    Photman52

    Hi Photman,
I can only add my speculation to this thread I'm afraid. the
company I work at is considering a purchase of an SAP system -
unfortunately one of the downsides of SAP (like SAGE) is that it
doesn't play nicely with other software. You may find it very
difficult, or indeed impossible, to integrate something you've
    developed in Director with SAP.
SAP want you to buy their software and pay for upgrades "as
and when you need them". This is where they make their money! If
you can work with their API I salute you.
Out of interest, are you able/willing to talk about what part
you're looking to work with? I'm nosy, and you've intrigued me...

  • Lotus Notes 7.0.1/7.0.2 and SAP Business Workflow

    Hi Everyone!
    Please help me on this.
My client has received an email from IBM that they could have their SAP Connector free of charge if they are to upgrade their current <b>Lotus connector</b> ver5 to <b>version 7.0.2</b>.  This version has included Workflow Integration as part of IBM's integration points with SAP.
Does anyone have an experience on integrating the two?  Please share documents or procedures on how to integrate them.
My current configuration is intended for a <b>1-way communication integration</b>.
I used the report <b>RSWUWFML2</b> for sending notifications (though in my case, it <i>only sends a message that there were workitems present in the recipient's SAP inbox</i>).  The SMTP configuration works fine.  The client has not yet purchased the SAP connector.
If the SAP Connector is now available, the <b>2-way communication</b> will be imposed.
I am planning to configure a 1-way communication integration where it could <b>work either on a 1-way or 2-way communication</b>.  Is this possible?
Can I have a configuration (for sending of workitems to Lotus mail or internet mail) which could have a link that connects the recipient to the transaction for approval or workitem execution?
    Thank you very much experts!!!

    Reymar

    Hi,
IBM Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions is a set of two technologies that can be used to integrate IBM Lotus Domino and SAP enterprise resource planning software.
Lotus Connector for SAP Solutions facilitates data transfer and access to SAP software from Lotus Domino.

  • Lotus Notes and SAP Business Workflow

    Hi Experts!
If you have an experience or if you have SPECIFIC notes on Lotus Notes/SAP Workflow integration, please share some views on these following questions:
    1. The SAP version we are using is ECC6.  The client wants to upgrade their Lotus Notes client to V7.0.1 which caters Workflow integration. <b>Do we need to have the Lotus Connector for this</b>? (Workitem should be processed using the Lotus Notes client and there is a link where the apporover can process the workitem.)
    2. What are the essential technical specifications for this this integration?
        a. Domino Server Platform
        b. Client Platform
        c. Domino Release
        d. Lotus Notes Client version
        e. Product/connector for the link.
    3. What should I use for configuring the notification scenario?
        a. Extended Notifications
        b. RSWUWFML2
        c. SWN_SELSEN
    Please provide answers on these.
Thank you very much.  I'm generous in giving points.
    Regards,
    Reymar

    Hi Akshay!
Am I right to affirm that according to what you've said, <b>there is no Lotus Notes Connector needed</b>  for Lotus Notes and SAP Workflow integration?
I actually haven't tested yet the Extended Notification, but from your reply, I think you are confident enough to tell me that it is possible to have a link in the Lotus Notes mail and then this link could bring you to the Document and process it using,of course, the Extended Notification.
I'm very thankful. Have a nice day. And also, please share some notes on how too use the Extended Notification. (--,)

  • Integration between Ariba and SAP R/3 4.7

    All,
We've BOJ Data Services XI installed.
Would like to integrate with SAP, does anyone know how or have good information about Business Object and SAP Integration?
    Please adivce.

    Hi Lynn,
If you need to have Business Objects and SAP work together in conjunction you need to have the Business Objects Integration Kit for SAP. Integration Kit provides the database drivers and other features for reporting off SAP.
Link to download the useru2019s Guide:
    -     Please go to Http://help.sap.com
    - Click on Business Objects tab
    - Select the product as Integration Kit for SAP

    I hope that helps you.

    Hi,
well you should ask your Lotus Notes administrator to setup an SMTP gateway on the LotusNotes side for you. I know that this is possible but I have not done it myself before. And since this is an SAP BusinessObjects forum I am not sure you will get an answer about this here.
    Regards

  • MS Active Directory (LDAP) and SAP Integration

    Hi all!
don't know if I'm right here in this forum, but:
I'm using MS Windows Server 2003 and installed Active Directory as LDAP-System on the one hand side, on the other I'm using a 6.20 ABAP Web AS.
I'd like to synchronize the User Storage on these two systems.
Does anyone have experience in doing this? I'm facing a tricky exception in depth of my customizing too complex to explain right now. The problem concerns the mapping of LDAP-Fields and SAP-Fields.
    Thankx,
    Christoph

    Hi Christoph,
This is the mySAP ERP forum. Perhaps you can post your question in the Web AS forum (SAP NetWeaver Application Server).
For now: here is a link to a video regarding SAP Active Directory integration:

I found it by searching on Active Directory here on sdn:

  • Crystal Reports and SAP Integration Issue

    Gurus,
I am in the process of reinstalling my SAP B-One(2007 A) Server, after SQL Server and SAP Server and Client installtions and its related patch PL10. My machine is fully loaded and to go, but I am stuck with Crystal Reports Basic 2008 installtion.
After installting the below for Crystal Reports:
    1) .NetPlatform SP1 setup (dotnetfx35sp1)
    3) Crytatl Runtime
    4) Crystal Setup
    5) Crystal SAP Viewer
    6) CR2008_SP3
My integration between SAP and CR are fine but after first log off and log on of SAP B-One.
    Shows the below messages:
    - "The new version of Add-on Crystal Reports for SAP Business One is
installed. Upgrade the Add-on in the current Common DB."
    followed by the below one.
"Wrong Executable digital signature for Add-On".
Any advices on how can I upgrade the Common DB.
    Faisal

    Hi  Faisal,
Is this issue realted to the previous thread you have posted. It looks similiar.

  • Informatica and SAP integration

    Hi,
I have user manual how to connect Informatica and SAP. There are some examples, like.
    1. an ABAP program - generated by Informaticas tool, deployed to SAP, runs on SAP, result is dumped into some file, and then imported to informatica over NFS or FTP
    2. by running a BAPI or RFC
    3. ALE, receiving or sending IDOCs directly from/to SAP.
And that all is OK, but I'm curious how to connect Informatica with XI/PI? Is there some blog or user-manual, is there some specific adapter?
    thx
    Mario

    Hey,
    >how to connect Informatica and SAP
Data integration using the ABAP program
    IDoc integration using ALE
    Data integration using RFC/BAPI functions
    Data migration integration
    Business content integration
If you wann to use PI in between  SAP  & Informatica as  Prateek  & Shaba mentioned you can use File to connect Informatica & PI.
    Cheers
