Integration Builder Directory cache access problem

Hi All,
I am learning SAP XI. I am trying to follow the example explained at https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/weblogs.sdn?blog=/pub/wlg/1312. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] I did al the steps in the Integration Builder Repository. Then I opened the Integration Builder Directory to continue with the next steps.
in the Cache Notifications Panel I get some errors, all of the same kind:
Unable to notify integration runtime (ABAP) of data changes
http connection to "http://p4p800d-6:8000/sap/xi/cache?sap-client=000" returns the status code "403" in response
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks
Juan Manuel

The Java Web Start cannot accept unsigned jars. If the jars are signed, it will ask in a dialog box if it should allow unrestricted access to this jar.
In my case, I upgraded XI SP0 to SP4, which included updating the Adapter Core, Adapter Framework, and the XI TOOLS to SP4.
On launching the Web start, it seemed that the jars were not getting signed. JWS cannot allow unsigned jars to the client.
These jars are maintained in:
\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\javaws\directory
I am having problems with my XI upgrade to SP4, and it is probably not signing the jars.
Do you know why this may be happening ...
thanks,
Manish

  • Unable to Launch Integration Builder: Java Web Start problem

    Hi,
I am unable to launch the integration builder. I am using JDK 1.4.2_05. The java Web Start gives the following error:
Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system
    Unsigned resource: http://<XIHostName>:50000/rep/repository/aii_util_rb.jar
I have tried deleting the Java web start cache, and even reinstalling the JDK.
Can someone suggest a workaround this problem ?
    thanks,

  • Integration Builder data not understood - Problem

    Hi all,
i have a problem with XI.
I want to generate Proxies from XI Content in a SAP System.
in SPROXY i can't see any data from the repository.
    SLDCHECK runs successfully.
If i run SPROX_CHECK_IFR_CONNECTION i get the failure message "Integration Builder data not understood".  I have already changed all passwords for the service users in XI and Exchange Profile.
can you give me a hint what the problem could be ?
    br,
    martin

    Hi martin,
Make sure your business system is set up as follows:
    1. Transaction SXMB_ADM
    - Role of System: Application System
    - Corresponding Integration Server:
    dest://<your_sm59_http_destination>
    2. Ensure that the RFC destinations LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI are
    maintained and working
    3. Run SLDCHECK to verify that the connection to the System Landscape
    Directory works.
    4. Check that the Integration Repository is running and data is maintained there.

  • Integration Builder (Design) - Cache notification

    Friends,
When we save the objects in Design (Integration Builder), the objects goes to status "Notification Not Yet Started" or "Red" in the cache notification screen. The developer has to manually execute the repeat cache notification to make it successful. Is there any settings or configuration missing? can you please guide me?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi,
Since your cache in getting update automatically, therefore you should check the RFC in SM59 as mentioned in this document.
    First check this one...

  • Ram cache access problems

I recently installed some new RAM in my 17inch iMac iSight. The new 1Gb of RAM was recognized by the computer and worked fine for about 1 hour, then crashed. Since then, on restarting all I can get is a grey screen, and after 20 seconds the cooling fan goes ape and I get a message saying I need to shutdown.
I guess there's a problem with the new RAM, but I can't open the cache to take it out ! The screws undo, but won't come free (after coming out a few mm they just turn without effect) so I can't get the plate off to access the RAM - any suggestions as to how to get in ?
    Cheers
    Nobber

    Hi
    Alex
Thanks, but I managed to open the cover without problem to install the RAM, (as you say the screws are designed not to fall out or get lost) but now I want to remove the RAM, the screws are not playing ball - It's very strange, in that they come loose but won't allow me to take the cover off.
I'm afraid to force them too much in case I can't get them back in after.
I might have to resort to opening up the iMac, and that seriously worries me.

  • Problem in accessing integration builder tool of XI

    Hi
i am having problem in accessing integration builder tool of XI system , when i enter the user credentials  it is getting hanged
can any body please help me with this
    thanks and regards
    Pendyala

    Hi,
check whether your xi server is working fine or is it down. If you are not able to open the integration builder, what is the exact error message you are getting.
How are you trying to open your IB.
Are you able to login to SAPGUI for the XI client.
If so try to provide the tcode sxmb_ifr and check whether you are able to open the IB.

  • Cache update problem in Integration Directory

    Hi all,
We have a cache update problem in our PI development server.
If we try to edit, save and activate any of the ID objects, under Cache notifications>Central Adapter Engine> all these objects are displayed as gray items.
    We have tried:
    1. Clearing the SLD Data Cache.
    2. Did SXI_CACHE complete refresh.
    3. Did CPA cache refresh.
    4. Did a complete cache refresh of the server.
    5. Restarted the server.
But still the problem has not bee resolved. Could you pls provide your inputs and resolution points.
    Thank you very much.
    regards,
    Jack Nuson

    HI Jack ,
first try to manually update the cache from ID select on your cache notifiaction and click on delta cache refresh button and refresh button .IF it does not yied any result then
Perform a full cache refresh using the URL
http://<host>:<port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full . If the cache refresh happens properly then your problem will get resolved other wise you have to see the cache log to view why it failed there it will show you the exact reason . You might need to restart your java server also if the problem persist .

  • The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required.

i am trying to run automated tests
i follow the steps in the web but when i have 2 issues that does not solve
    1. i created console project and add build definition without drop folder and queue builds that success.
    2. i created C# unit test and add build definition and run it from VS and it worked and done what i want to do.
    3. i built lab with 1 machine and define the controller on this pc ( the machine in the lab is another pc)
    4. i created test suite with test cases and from vs 2013 i associated automation nethod that i created in 2.
    5. when i try to associate the builds for the test plan i have a PROBLEM(1):
this happened every new build that i try to assign - all the builds appears after refresh and when i press assign to plan button
a pop up shown with error : " The build that you selected for this plan no longer exist " but he chose it in build in use but there no work item under it - the list is empty even that there are 2 tests under this test suite.
and than when i try to run the automated tests i have this PROBLEM(2):
The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required. and the test failed.
    Please Help
    Roey

    Hi Rory,
Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
    According to the error message:
    (1) a pop up shown with error : " The build that you selected for this plan no longer exist "
I tried to create a build definition without the drop folder location for unit test solution from the VS IDE, and then I try to select the Build in use option to add the Available builds, then click this Assign to plan. I found that I get same error message
with yours like the following screen shot.
However, when we try to create a build definition with drop folder location for this same unit test solution and then build successfully in the VS IDE.
After you add the Available builds and then click this Assign to plan in the MTM, it work fine.
Therefore, I assume that the issue is related to that you did not specify a build directory for automated test case. MTM need to know where is the drop location of the build building your tests.
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20033217/couldnt-run-my-test-using-microsoft-test-manager
In addition, I did some research about the problem 2:"The build directory of the test run either does not exist or access permission is required. and the test failed."
I know that the error message occur in either of the following conditions:
    1. The account under which test controller is running does not have read permission on the build directory. (The build directory is same as the drop location of build associated with this test run.)
    2. The build directory itself does not exist.
So please refer the following blog to check this issue:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/aseemb/archive/2009/11/25/error-starting-the-test-run-build-directory-of-the-test-run-is-not-specified-or-does-not-exist.aspx
Therefore, I suggest you can try to specify a drop location for build when you run the automated test from the MTM and then check this issue.
