Integration server details

Hi...
In JDeveloper we need to create a connection to a integration server before we can deploy BPEL/ESB code...
Wht is this Integration server?? Where is the integration server located ?? Is it in the same OC4j as Oracle App server, BPEL process manager..??
Please suggest some pointers where I can find details of it....
Thanks

Hi,
Integration Server is the one (OC4J Instance or JVM) where you have installed the BPEL, ESB (SOA Suite) components. You would have given a specific name to the <oc4jinstance> at the time of installation.
It creates by default with a name HOME, and the other one is created to install the SOA Suite.
In JDeveloper, you create Integration Server by using the Application Server connection created and it will be used by deploying your BPEL, ESB Processes.
Thanks
Nags.

  • Messages going to the wrong Integration Server

    Hello All,
We saw a problem with few messages on the production XI server for a brief period of time. the following is the scenario.
    1) An ORDERS05 IDoc comes out of the ECC, gets correlated and was sent out to conversion Agent for translation and was sent out to the vendor.
    2) We get the response 997 from the vendor to the file port. This message has been picked up by the file adapter, got translated and was sent out to the XI Integration engine on the development box.
I could see this message on the RWB under the Adapter Engine component. This message did not reach the Integration engine on the Production box. A close look at the message details tells me that the message was sent to the Integration engine on the Development box.  This happened to a few messages with in a minute time frame. All the messages before and after the minute time frame made just fine to the XI integration server.
We checked the SLD and found no reference of Production box pointing to the development XI IS.
I appreciate any pointers in this regard.
    Thanks.

    Hi Balu,
this could happen if your XI DEV system has a file adapter containing the same source directory where your response from vendor is coming for production.....this file adapter will be active....so it is pickng your response and triggering it to XI DEV before XI prod can pick it up.........it is also possibel that your XI PRD system file adapter is currently deactive or has some error in it now.......So just check the file adapters of XI DEV and XI PRD for your this scenario......

  • Adapter Engine / Integration Server Problem

    Hi,
I'm new to SAP and I have some questions regarding my new PI 7.0 SP10 setup.
    Problem:
In Integration Directory, when I tried to define a communication channel, after specifying the "Adapter Type" (File in my case), I had to specify the "Adapter Engine" from a drop-down. But the dropdown list is empty!
    What I've done & Observations:
    1. I've recently imported the file "XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_06_00.tpz" (From the installation DVD). After importing, I've refreshed the SLD cache.
    2. SLDCHECK reveals that the connection to SLD is successful.
    3. RWB component monitoring shows:
Integration Server - No light (Node cannot be expanded)
Integration Engines - No light (Node cannot be expanded)
        Non-Central Adapter Engines -

            - Integration Repository ootspdbs02 (Green Light)
            - Runtime Workbench ootspdbs02 (Green Light)
    4. In my SLD - I've defined a business system PI_BS_01
        Role: Integration Server
        Pipeline URL: http://OOTSPDBS02:8001/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
        Group - No Group Assigned.
        Client: 001 of PI1
        Technical System: PI1 on ootspdbs02 - Release 700
Given the above observations, can anyone please point out to me where I went wrong?
    Any advise is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

The hierarchy of this business system is:
    Business System:
       BS_NAUTICUS_OOTS [Role = Application System, Related Integration Server = PI1_BS_01, Technical System = TS_NAUTICUS_OOTS]
    Technical System:
       TS_NAUTICUS_OOTS [Type = Third Party, Software Component = SWC_NAUTICUS_OOTS, Product = Product_NAUTICUS_OOTS]
Basically I created product, software component, technical system, business system from scratch.
I did not put any dependencies to existing products/software components.

  • BPEL server connection failed in Integration Server connect

I am creating an 'Integration server' in the JDeveloper.
After furnishing the details (App server name, Host, Port) on testing the connection it gets failed for BPEL process manager server:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
    ESB Server: OK
The BPEL identity service failed to start because of the error: java.io.FileNotFoundException:http://hostname:8888/integration/services/testconnection/BPELConnection
    Any ideas?
    thanks in advance.
    Bin

    Hi Françoise,
I think Application Server Test uses OPMN Port and for testing BPEL and ESB HTTP port is used.
Do you use default 8888 HTTP Port Number? When you create a Integration Server Connection it is default value, but maybe you have installed Oracle Application Server on another http port.

  • Related Integration server for Business System  in SLD

    HI All,
IN SLD we have one Technical System for PI and one TS for R/3 System.
When I crating Business System for R/3 in R/3 TS, in Integration Tab what I have to select for Related Integration Server option.
It is having None and Business System of PI TS System.
    Please help me in this.
    Regards,
    Sree

    Hey
Looks like you are defining this Business system as a Integration server.
See here is what you need to do.
Step 1:First of all create a business system for XI system itself, this business system will have details of XI system and its role will be Integration server. You can have only 1 Integration server(hence you are getting the error).
Step 2:Now define a business system of type Web as ABAP for R/3 system, this system will have role as Application system but the related integration server will be the name of the business system of PI system(the one which you defined in Step 1).
As of now,are you getting any business system name in the drop down box for related integration server while creating business system for R/3 in SLD?
    If yes,then simply select that
    Thanx
    Aamir

  • Integration Server in SLD shows no System

    Hello,
I have the following problem. When I log into the SLD, go to technical System, filter for XI then I See Adapter Engine, Integration Directory etc. For each of them the column System is filled (SAP-System and Host). Only for the Integration Server it isn't.
And when I log into the Runtime Workbench and select Configuration then I et an error that no Integration Server is available in the SLD.
Does anybody know what is the problem for that.
    thanks
    Michaela

    Hi,
The best way what you could do is goto transaction RZ70 and enter the appropriate details in the SLD Bridge tab
then do the proposal and finally press the esecute button to start the data collection.
This will automatically create an entry in the SLD then you need to maintain business system manually.
But before executing the data collection remove the existing IS server info if it's already present.
More details on this can be found in XI Post installation document.

  • Can we define users for both studio and integrator server

Can someone please let me know how can we define users for both studio and integrator server so that the user can be used to view UI page but not modify it.I want to define user in studio which will access the Page but not modify it. And the user in integrator server should be able to view scheduled jobs.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Amrit

    Amrit,
Both Studio and Integrator Server support LDAP. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35976_01/studio.240/eid_studio_users/toc.htm#Integrating%20with%20an%20LDAP%20System%20to%20Manage%20Users for details about implementing LDAP in Studio. For Integrator Server, see "LDAP Authentication", p. 38 (document pagination; p. 44 pdf file pagination) in the Integrator Server Guide (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35976_01/integrator.240/DataIntegratorServer.pdf).

  • Scaling Integration Server

Based on XI 3.0 architecture, what are the best practices for scaling XI's Integration Server, knowing it is made-up of the Business Process Engine, Integration Engine, and Central Adapter Engine?  This is to ensure high performance at runtime for high volume messaging.

This is something you would need to handle within your application code... there really isn't any sort of built in support for scaling multiway communcations.
When I scale such applications, I like to set up an master/slave structure where the master controls the application, and the slaves report to the master. When a client connects to a slave, the slave reports to the master and provides details about the client (id, username, stream name, etc). The master then passes that information along to the other slaves, so each server in the cluster is aware of which server each client is connected to. Then, when a client stream is required, each server in the cluster connects to that stream's host.
In your case of two-way communication, the master app might simply serve as controller that keeps track of where the users are, and just provides your client side app with connection information.
    It's a bit of a complicated task, but it's definitely do-able.

  • Can't connect to integration server

    hi everybody!
i can't connect to integration server.
the connection to app server is ok but connection to bpel process manager and ESB failed.
still i'm not the one how make the installation (on HP-UX), i don't know the port number required for establishing the connection to the integration server. i've tried the default one 9700 and it doesn't work.
does anyone know where i can find this port number?

thanks for your replys but still have the same problem.
i looked to the readme file the only port that i found was 7778.
here are more details on connection test:
    TestName | Result | Details
Application Server Test | passed |
    BPEL Identity Service | failed | java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://hostname:7778/integration/services/testconnection/BPELConnection
BPEL Domains | not run | not executed
BPEL Server Mode | not run | not executed
BPEL Notification Service | not run | not executed
BPEL Task Manager Service | not run | not executed
ESB Connection | failed | could not establish the connection
when i try to connect to the bpel console every thing is ok, and the comand 'opmnctl status ' says that everything is alive.
    any suggestions?

  • How to check Integration Server Client and ABAP stack Client?

How to check Integration Server Client and ABAP stack Client? How to check,,pls tell in detailed steps???
    Points would be awarded.
    Arnab

    hi,
Must be the server has different clients, one declared as application server ie abap stack client and the other declared as Integration server ie XI. U might be trying to open idx5 in application server client, in which idx5  exists but you cant open the screen even, that can be achieved through we02.
000 is the default client when  XI server is installed .We can create separate clients on the system through sccl tcode.
As told we can find the client  on sap logon screen.
Logon to sxmb_adm and check whether the client is declared as an application system(r/3) or Integration server(xi).Try idx5 in xi not r/3

  • Move j2ee app. from bea server to bea integration server error

we have deployed 2 of our j2ee application with no errors on bea application server 8.1 sp4. and they work just fine.
now, when deployed the same 2 applications on intergation server 8.1 sp4, only 1 application works out. what i mean, if we access app.1 first it will work fine, and app.2 will not work at all. now if we restart the server and access app.2 first it will work fine and app.1 will not work .....
is there any differeces we should take into consideration before deploying on the integration server.
    help is urgently needed

You'd have to provide more details on what errors you're getting, the structure of your application, and what you're trying to do. I doubt anyone could figure out your problem without some of this information.

  • Difference between Integration Engine and Integration server.

can any 1 explained in detail about difference between Integration Engine and Integration server.
    thanks in advance

Integration Server and Integration Engine are used synonymous with each other. But there is a sublte difference if you actually look into the XI architecture images provded by SAP.
    The Integration Server contains,
    1. Adapter Engine
    2. Business Process Engine
    3. Integration Engine.
So, taking this into picture I guess Integartion server is a collection of these 3 while integration engine is one of the runtime components of XI. All messages are processed in the Integration Engine.
    regards

  • Problem while registering ESB Process with integration server

    Hi All,
I am facing an error while registering the ESB Process in Intergration Server. I am getting the following error in ESB.
"Registration of ESB Process (Process Name) is failed, Exception: Connection Refused. connect Check the Integration Server Connection is correctly configured and the Integration Server is up and Running"
I am able to deploy the BPEL process from the Jdeveloper using the same Integration Server Connection parameter. Also I have checked the Intergration server and its up and running.
Any Help or Pointers to this issue is helpful.
    Thanks in advance,
    Saravana

Yes, but you are getting connection refused which is more thank likely cause by the application server connection failure.
If you should see a details button when testing the connection can you please provide result of this.
It looks like you have entered a wrong port, hostname, or oc4j instance.
If you go to your OS
    cd SOA_HOME/opmn/bin
    run the command
    opmnctl status -l
you will see all the ports for your instance. Now revisit both the application server and Integration server settings mad make sure they are set correctly. Especially the hostname and the port for the application server
Also make sure your proxies are correct in JDeveloper
Tools -> preferences -> web browser & proxy

  • Cannot connect to integration server in JDev

I installed SOA Suite 1.3.1.0 and want to set up connections in JDeveloper. Application connection succeeded with no error but when testing Integration server connection I got following errors:
    Application Server Test          Passed
    BPEL Identity Service          Not Run
    BPEL Domains               Not Run
    BPEL Server Mode           Not Run
    BPEL Notification Service     Not Run
    BPEL TaskManager Service     Not Run
    ESB Connection               Passed
I saw similar thread regarding this issue but all of them have failure message. But I only got "Not Run". detail message for this is "Not Executed". No exception in server log and hw_services is up running. I also tried restarting this service but same result. I also applied patch 1.3.1.4 but no luck. Any one experienced this before?

Yes -- I use 7777 as default port and it is up running. I also tried HTTP2 port but same result.
    Oracle HTTP Server : HTTP_Server
    HTTPS1 443
    HTTP2 7200
    HTTP1 7777
Application connection passed testing -- I use oc4j connection for that. following are my configurations:
    App Server Connection
    type:Stand OC4J 10g 10.1.3
    host:localhost
    RMI Port:12401
    Test: OK
    Integration Server Connection
    port: 7777
    protocol: HTTP
I can open BPEL manager at http://localhost:7777/BPELConsole
Anything else I need to configure? really lost...
