Intel HD Drivers will not install on X220 W7 32-bit

When I try to install latest Intel HD Driver v8.15.10.2342 32-bit
(http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-77037)
I get following error
This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
As I've seen Lenovo had this issue a year ago with an older driver.
Is the problem back or is there anything that can be done about this problem.

Could you che ckout which SATA mode is selected in BIOS? AHCI mode is needed in order to Win7 worked properly. Do not change mode if it has another value.

  • CS3 will not install on Windows 7, 64-bit. No error message. Just stops installing.

CS3 will not install on Windows 7, 64-bit. No error message. Just stops installing. This is a brand new machine. This is one of the first things I'm installing on it. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The disks are fine. I have the programs installed on my two XP machines. When I run the disk, I get the window pop up that says "Initializing Installation for Adobe Creative Suite 3". Then the disk stops spinning and nothing else happens. No error message. Nothing else happens. I'm baffled. I have searched several discussion boards and cannot find anybody that has had a similar install issue like this.

Old_Timer I would recommend reviewing your install logs to determine the exact error message.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the logs at Troubleshoot installation with install logs | CS3, CS4 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-installation-install-logs-cs3.html.

  • Drivers will not install from original disk

Ok, so i have a early 2008 MBP, which i just installed Boot Camp on. After a tedious install of windows, I got it to work, now to have the drivers get messed up. What happens is it will start installing the Drivers and then usually (it stops at different times) will get to the audio drivers before it just spins the disk for about a second then stops, then spins it again, and repeats this process infinitely or until I turn off the computer. The disk will not eject, and boot camp install will not end. Can you help me get past this, because I really would love to finish the install! As i said the farthest it has ever gotten is the Audio drivers which is where it usually stops but sometimes it will stop earlier than that, but Audio is the most problematic because it has never been able to go past that.

    Manish, thanks for your help.
Tried similar in Windows 7 with no effect. Also tried Adobe Creative Suite cleaner tool via http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html It installs ok on my laptop, so doesn't appear to be a location issue, but will not install on my workstation. Manual installation of AAM completes but after typing in user/pass it says 'download error, contact customer service'. Photoshop CS6 beta installed and functioned ok and I had CS4. Tried uninstalling both, same issues. Adobe Lightroom 3.6 is still installed and functions.
I also tried someone's suggestion of installing the trial of something so it would install the Akamai Netsession download manager. This completes and when I launch the AdobeApplicationManager.exe I can see it spawn Netsession which then hangs and can be killed initially, but zombies for a while ( cannot be killed ). Packet trace ( https://twitter.com/#!/DaSpadeR/status/201295684022960128 ) appears to show initial handshake and then nothing.  -John Spade

  • Windows 7 drivers will not install for Printsmart B209a

Ok, I have tried to solve this for the better part of 2 days on my own.. I have tried every solution I can find by google and forums..
In the device manger it show that my printer drivers are not installed, when i try to install them Windows tells me the drives are not digtally signed and I and not it's not sure they are committable with my printer.. When I tell it to go ahead and intestinal them it tries then tells me it can not due to one of the above..
I have uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them so many times I have lost count.. I have used a uninstaller to make sure I got every little piece of the driver I can find..
Now when I try to install them, it hangs at about 89% and tells me it is waiting for a SPL response from the printer.. and that never happens.
So can someone please help me with these two problems..
Thanks in advance for your knowledge, time and effort..

Make sure that you run the correct OS bit version download for your computer. Do you have 64 bit or 32 bit win 7? did you install software by cd or online?
if it hangs at 89% , that means your firewall is limiting the installation.
what is the brand of your anti-virus software?

  • Error code 31, Drivers will not install correctly

I am using the following NI PXI cards in a Chroma chassis:
    8360
    5112 or a 5114
    7352 (I think)
I have a Toshiba laptop, Satellite L305D-S5934 running Vista, on which I am trying to install the driver package.  Everything installs fine, with no errors.  When I plug in the expresscard, turn on the chassis, and then boot the computer, the 8360 installs and is recognized in Device Manager and in MAX.  The other two cards will not install.  I get an error code 31 in device manager on the PCI-PCI/PXI bridge stating that Windows cannot load the driver.
I have another Toshiba laptop, Satellite L305D-S5895, which specs out about the same, also running Vista, which runs with no problems at all with the same card, cable, and chassis.  Any previous experience with this issue?  Thanks in advance for any timely help you can offer, and I'll gladly supply you folks with as much info as I can.  Attached is a screen shot of the device manager with the flag and the error message.

    Hey Kyle,
It seems like the ExpressCard isn't working properly, based on what you've told me. You say that the ExpressCard shows up properly in Device Manager after installation, but based on that screenshot it looks like it isn't showing up correctly. Is there an NI-MXI entry in device manager after you install? Take a look at this : Developer Zone : What Laptops Have Been Tested with NI's ExpressCard-MXI for PXI and PXI Express?
In looking at this article, I don't see either of the two laptops you mentioned as ones we've tested or have had customer's test. That being said, there might be an issue with the S5934 and not with the S5895. I looked into it a bit more, and the two laptops have completely different chipsets, so it's reasonable to say that one laptop might work and one might not. There are a couple things you'll want to do to try and fix this:
First, make sure you have the most up-to-date BIOS for the S5934. If you still encounter errors, you might want to sign up for the beta program of the NI MXI Express Bios Compatibility Software, which might be able to solve any BIOS incompatibility problems. You can sign up at www.ni.com/beta for that software.

  • Will not install in Windows 7 64 bit

Downloaded SafariSetup.exe but it will not install. Clicking on it results in message: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running." I need Safari to run WebKit. Is there a Safari that will run on my computer? OR is there another browser in which to run WebKit?

Yeah, I think it falls into the same category of problems as "not a valid win32 application", "invalid signature", and "unknown publisher" messages ... usually all of which relate to installers getting damaged on the download.
At any rate, I'm glad you got things working again.

  • Drivers will not install on TouchSmart 610-1030f

I am on a family TouchSmart 610-1030f with Windows 7 64-bit and cannot get the graphics drivers to update at all. They have not been updated since January 2011. The graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics Core i3. I have tried through the HP and Intel websites and both times I get an error. Through the HP website, it only says something along the lines of "the software did not install (259)." Through the Intel website, I get an error saying "Your computer does not meet the minimum requirements to install this software" or something like that. Windows is completely, fully updated, so that is not the problem.

    Hello @ydnube,
I understand that you are having issues installing an update for your graphics on your HP TouchSmart 610-1030f Desktop PC. I am providing you with a link to the HP TouchSmart 610-1030f Desktop PC Drivers page where you will note that there are no updated drivers for your computer running Windows 7 64-bit. The only drivers available are the ones that originally came with the computer. I suspect that the reason you cannot install the drivers you are trying to install is because they are not for your computer and the operating system is not permitting you to install something that is not made for the hardware you have.
I hope this helps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Hi Yaugen,
Try these instructions.  The main task is to get Windows XP and Win7 to share resources.
Step one: Windows 7 Homegroup must be setup
Printer sharing must be setup in the Homegroup settings, if one of the computers in the network is using Windows 7.
    1. Click Start
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. In the upper right corner ensure that View by has Large icons or Small icons selected.
    4. Click Network and Sharing Center.
5. Click Choose homegroup and sharing options
    6. If the Homegroup is not setup, you need to set up your homegroup before continuing.
Step two: Set the Workgroup on each computer
Each computer on the network must be set to the same Workgroup.  The workgroup name needs to be changed from the default to a new name.
    Windows XP:
    1. Click Start.
    2. Right click Computer and then left click Properties.
    3. The default Workgroup is WORKGROUP.
    4. The name of the Workgroup should be changed from the default.
    5. In System Properties, click the Computer Name tab.
    6. Click the Change button.
    7. Enter the Workgroup name that is used by your entire network.  If you are changing the Workgroup name, use the same name used in Windows 7.
    8. Click OK.
    9. You must restart your computer for the change to take effect.
    Windows 7:
    1. Click Start.
    2. Right click Computer and then left click Properties.
    3. The Workgroup is listed in System Properties.
    4. The default Workgroup is WORKGROUP.
    5. The name of the Workgroup should be changed from the default.
    6. Change your Workgroup in Windows 7 by clicking Change settings.
    7. Click the Change button.
    8. Enter a new Workgroup name that will be used by your entire network.
    9. Click OK.
    10. You must restart your computer for the change to take effect.
Step three: Setup a share account on each computer in the network
Create a common share account on each of the computers, including the computer that is sharing the printer to the rest of the network.  This share account must have the same name and password on each computer.
If you decide to use an existing account that appears on each computer all ready, this existing account must be password protected. If you do not want to password protect your default login, create a new share login as described in the following steps.
     Windows XP
    1. Click Start
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. Click User Accounts
    4. Click Create a new account.
    5. Enter the same user account name created as the share account on the Windows 7 computer.
    6. Click Next.
    7. Under “Pick an account type”, select ‘Computer Administrator’.
Note: In Windows XP you must select Computer Administrator in order setup a printer.
    8. After you new account is created, select it under ‘pick an account to change’.
    9. Click Create a password
    10. Enter the same password used when creating the share account on the Windows 7 computer, following the directions on the screen.
    11. Click Create Password button.
    12. Log off your current user account and log into the new share account to activate it.
    13. Once the computer is ready after logging into the share account, you can log off the share account and back into your regular user account.
    Windows 7
    1. Click Start
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. In the upper right corner ensure that View by has Large icons or Small icons selected.
    4. Click User Accounts
    5. Click Manage another account
    6. Click Create a new account
    7. Select Standard User
Note:  The account created should be created with the lowest security setting necessary.  Creating the share account as an administrator is discouraged.
    8. Enter a new user account name.  Use a name that is easy to remember as the account used for sharing resources across your network.  For example: ‘ShareAccount’
    9. After your new account is created, select it under “Choose the account you would like to change”.
    10. Click Create a Password
    11. Enter a new password, following the directions on the screen.
    12. Click Create Password button.
    13. Close any remaining opened windows, making a note of the new account name and password as you will need to create identical accounts and passwords on the other computers on your network.
    14. Log off your current user account and log into the new share account to activate it.
    15. Once the computer is ready after logging into the share account, you can log off the share account and back into your regular user account.
Step Four: Share the printer to the network
The computer that has the printer attached and installed by USB must have the printer shared to the network.
    Windows XP
    1. Open the printers and faxes folder in Windows XP.
Note: A hand symbol under the icon for the printer indicates it is already shared to the network.
    2. Right click on the printer to be shared to the network.
    3. Left click on Sharing.
    4. Click “If you understand the security risks but want to share printers without running the wizard, click here”.
    5. Select “Just enable printer sharing”.
    6. Click OK.
    7. Select “Share this printer”.
    8. If the Share name is acceptable, click OK.
    9. If you want to change the Share name, enter a new name. Click OK.
Note: If the Share name entered is longer than 8 characters, you will get a warning that the printer will not be accessible from MS-Dos computers.
Step five: Install the appropriate software for your printer
Install the printer software on the other computers on the network that will need to access the shared printer.  Install the correct driver for the printer model for each computer on the network. Not all printers will need to have a driver installed, only newer printers.
    1. Check for available drivers – visit the HP website and download available drivers.
Note: Even if you have an install CD for your older HP product, there may be an updated driver for your printer.
    2. Launch the driver setup by double-clicking on the downloaded driver.
    3. If the driver install process requires you to attach the printer USB cable to continue, click cancel instead.  This will roll back the install, but it will leave the driver files installed.
    4. Select the USB connection type. Look for the checkbox labeled “Connect later – Do not connect to the printer now.  I will connect it later”.
Note: You might have to select USB connection type before the checkbox is visible.
    5. Complete the install without attaching the USB cable.
    6. After the software is installed, delete any icons created on the desktop.  They will not be linked to the shared printer and will only result in errors if used.
Step six: Install the shared printer.
Note: Computers that are not sharing a resource to the network may not show up by name when viewing the entire network.
    Windows 7
    1. Click Start.
    2. Click on Computer.
    3. In the lower left pane, click on Network.
    4. Double click on the computer that is sharing the printer.
    5. Enter the name of your share account as the “User name”.
    6. Enter the same password created for the share account.
    7. Check the box labeled Remember my credentials.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Right click on the printer, left click Open.
    10. Windows will find the previously loaded driver for the printer and complete the install.

  • ScanGear MX700 Drivers will not install on new iMac

I am new to Mac, so I'm not sure if I am missing a step. Using the install disk that came with my new Canon MX700 I installed the scanner drivers in the series:
    ScanGear MX700 series 1370.mpkg
    IJ Scanner Selector 220.pkg
    ScanGear MX700 series 1370.pkg
    ScanGear MX700 series Network 1370.pkg
After I load each package, I allow the computer to restart to complete installation as suggested after each download.
I've turned the printer off and on (using USB to connect to iMac). When I attempt to scan using the menu on the Canon, a window pops up: "Scanner is not selected. Click [Scanner Selection] to select scanner. Scanner driver will be closed." When I select "Scanner Selection" another window opens called "Canon IJ Network Scanner Selector" but there is nothing in the Network Device List to select. Under TWAIN Data Source Name is "Canon MX700 series Network", but there is nothing with a MAC Address. I am unable to select anything and that is as far as I've gotten.
    HELP!

If you are using the control panel on the MX700 to scan, then after you press the SCAN button, you are prompted to select the connection method > Local (USB) or 'LAN Connected'. Based on the message you are getting, and since you have the MX700 connected via USB, I would guess that you are selecting 'LAN..'. If at this stage you use the arrow up or down key to select 'Local', then I believe you will not get the message.
If you are scanning from your iMac, rather than using the MX700 Control Panel, then you do not need to configure the IJ Network scanner since you have the MX700 connected via USB.
You should be able to open an application like Image Capture to check the USB connection. If a message stating that 'No Image Capture device is connected', then click on 'Devices' and then 'Browse Devices'. The 'Image Capture Device Browser' should appear showing the MX700 under TWAIN Data Sources. If you select this entry it should show it as connected. If it doesn't show it as connected, then you could have a problem with the USB cable. A previous post had a Canon user capable of printing but they were unable to scan and the included USB was the fault.
If the connection is okay you should be able to scan using the Image Capture application. After the prescan is performed, you must select a portion of the displayed image using your mouse by dragging from one corner to the opposite corner. Now the SCAN button will be available.
Note also that you can use the Preview application to scan.

  • New Vista Drivers will not install/w

Ok, so i uninstalled my old creative beta drivers through the vista program uninstall, along with uninstalling the device within device manager. Then, I rebooted the computer and ran the new driver exe. once it went into the install program after unpack it said:
"you have previously installed drivers without rebooting, please reboot and try again"
so i reboot again (even though i have yet to install anything.....same problem...
I tried deleting my windows temp folder and still no luck.
Then, i tried copying the unpacked folder "CF000" or whatever its called and directly tell device manager to grab the drivers from there.
Now it lists the x-fi in device manager but with this error after restart:
"This device cannot start. (Code 0)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."
PLEASE help. Now i have no sound and i can not install the old beta drivers because they now give me the same crap "you have tried installing without reboot bla bla bla"

Ok, so I finally got it to work. I am not sure what i did differently to be honest. I did the same thing that I did 0 times before: erased windows temp folder, erased any folder labeled creative after running a search, uninstalled the device via device manager... and suddenly the install ran to completion. Does my audio work now? yes. Was it probably the biggest pain I have ever had to install drivers? yes, by far. I am not trying to slam creative because hey, at least I have working drivers.... but oh man was it a pain in the ###. I can see why people go for on board audio now...

  • ITunes 64 bit will not install on Windows 7 (64-Bit)

I downloaded the 64bit version if iTunes (itunes64setup.exe), and when I went to install it, it went through most of the installation procedure and it stated that I should "download the 64 bit version of the iTunes software" (which as I said before, I already did).
I did the "delete the temp folder" bit, and that did not help. I would like to be able to just update my iPhone from anything other than my Netbook. So what should I do. A nice set of "step by step" instructions would help.
I already searched the "Support" section, and I could not find ANYTHING on the 64 bit version of iTunes. So I followed every instruction on "problems with installing iTunes" that related to the 32 bit just to make sure.
So basically, the "64 bit software" is reading like it is the "32 bit software" and I have downloaded the software and re-downloaded it 3 more times. Same problem each time.

Same problem for me. iTunes 64bits instlls well up to 80% of the process.
then it says that some software components are missing.
I was never able of completing my iTunes installation (on my new computer).
earlier versions are no longer available and the iTunes for 32bits isn't accepted by Windows 7 64 bits.
Can anyone at Apple explain what this is ?
Has anyone experienced the same problem ?

  • Visio 2013 32-bit trial version will not install even with other 32-bit MS products only.

Trying to load MS Visio 2013 Trial to determine if it works so I can purchase full version.
Environment: MacBook Pro, w/ VMWare Fusion 4, Windows 7, running only MS Project 32-bit on the VMWare side. MS Office is not installed only MS Project.
Downloaded Visio 2013 Trial img file and attempted to install. Received 64-bit conflict with 32-bit software error message. Deleted Visio 2013 64-bit version and redownloaded Visio 2013 Trial img this time in 32-bit. Tried to install but the same 64-bit
conflict message is appearing.  As the only software I have installed is MS Project 32-bit it does not appear that there should be a conflict.  I have scanned TechNet and Googled to try and understand how to determine and resolve the conflict but
there are no threads to address this specific problem.
P.S. I cannot uninstall and reinstall MS Project as I spent hours on the phone with Microsoft and VMWare Support to get it installed the first time so I don't want to mess with an existing environment that is finally working.
Microsoft online chat recommended calling MS Support and they have now sent me to you. Can you please help?

    Dear Smith_123:
Thank you for your reply. However, Office had never been previously on the OS as it was never purchased.  I do have Office for Mac 2011 but that is 32 bit and is not on the VMWare / Windows side of the machine.  But even if I had, I would not know
how to clean up the residual file or registry keys without assistance.
After 1 hours and 20 min on the phone last evening and being handed from person to person through literally 9 different people, I finally reached someone that seemed knowledgeable in MS Support.  But all they would give me was a circular answer:
We can't help you because it is a Trial Version for which there is no support offered. When I explained I wanted to be sure Visio worked on my machine prior to spending between $300 and $600 on a copy, Support could only say that I would have to purchase it
first before they would give me any help to see if it works. When I offered to purchase it right then since I had finally gotten to someone who appeared as though they could help, he told me that he was Support and not Sales so I would have to go elsewhere
to purchase the product.  Very frustrating.
