Inter company cost booking issue

Hi,
i configured the order related inter company billing.
Issue is when we raise a end customer invoice then my end customer account is debited and my inter co sales is credited(selling co code) and when intercomapny billing generated then my internal customer is debit and inter co sales credited (delivering co code).Which is totally fine but one entry should also passed from selling co code .i.e. cost of good sold (selling co code) debited and internal vendor credited.
and where do assign internal vendor.
How should i do it?
Please suggest

  • Cost of Goods Sold account determination by customer type (inter-company)

We have a business need to separate the the cost of goods sold be customer type.  Specifically separating the inter-company cost of goods sold from the 3rd party cost of goods sold.
The standard COGS account determination in GBB/VAX only allows for differentiating between material valuation class.
Has anyone attempted this before and what method worked?

For those who may need an answer to this, our solution was the following:
    1)       Created new types for SO, SO Item, Sched. Line, Delivery, Delivery Item, Billing type
    2)       Created new Pricing procedure
    3)       Created new movement type Y61/Y62 modeled after 601/602
    4)       Mapped Y61/Y62 to account modifier ZAX.
    5)       Mapped GBB/ZAX to the new account.
Benefits, they now have better view of the orders going inter-company.  It is flexible enough to adjusting prices for intercompany separate from standard orders, even though for now it is a straight copy of cost.  They are able to remove the sales/use tax, from the calculations. They are able to plan with these orders separated out.  Plus, this will standardize their process for inter-company.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Cheers!

  • Inter-company billing values flow to COPA

    Dear All,
We are in inter-company sales scenario
    Issue -
Sales persons have created two billing document with type F2 and IV
Condition type PR00 and PI01 ( inter-comapny price ) assigned to COPA value field VVS04.
Billing document F2 ( orderning plant ) - From sales order to accounting the net sales value has been updated as 0.17
But COPA document is updated as 1.17 ( Net value 0.17+ cost 1 )
But we require the value as 0.17
In the above scenario FI & COPA are not getting reconcile
Please throw some light on this
    Regards
    Madhu

    Hi
It seems you have mapped both revenue and COGS to same value field..
In COPA, all values are updated as absolute values i.e. without +/- sign except for billing reversals and credit memos...
You should map both to separate value fields and show revenue- cost in reports

  • Inter Company Billing and automatic booking to Vendor master.

    Hi,
Wish you a Happy New year,,,,,,,
We have done all the necessary configuration for generating Inter Company billing including the Cost booking to vendor Automatically.
There are certain points where I need some help,
    1) During Idoc genration we are getting error related to Payment terms of Internal Customer.
If the payment terms is immidiate then only an Idoc is getting generated,,,,,,,,, else it is throwing an error message " status 51", but according to our business requirements it may be for any days and this may also impact our aging analysis and cash flows.
    2) We have configured upto Third level of product hierarchy but while creating a contract if user maintains only upto first level, then release to account is not happening for inter company billing. Where as if user maintain upto third level there is no issue in the whole process of inter comapny billing.
Kindly suggest us how to restrict user to maintain product hierarchy pto third level during the creation of contract.
    3) during the Inter company billing generation, if the internal customer is eligible for Tax exemption or tax booking, that is how to book the tax details to internal customer and also to vendor while booking the cost. Please let us know the logic for tax processign in Inter company billing and Idoc generation.
Awaiting for a favourable reply and thanks in Advance.

    Hello,
Did you assign the internal customer to the ordering sales organisation? If not, then create a customer in Delivering Sales org + DC+ Div + Plant and assign the same in the ordering sales organisation.
You can maintian the same in SPRO --> Enterprise structure --> Defenition --> Sales organisation (Enter internal customer).
    Or
SPRO--> Sales and  Distribution --> Billing ---> Intercompany billing --> Define internal customer

  • Inter company COGS and Cost Components in COPA

Looked at so many threads but couldn't find a proper answer.
Scenario: Company B in Canada books a sales order,  delivering from a Plant in Company A in US. US bills Canada at Cost + Mark up.
    In US:
On Goods issue  COGS is booked based on std in US (say $10)
On Inter company billing - (Cost + 20% mark up) Inter company receivable  is $12, this triggers a payable on Canada side.
    In Canada:
We can have $12 booked as COGS when Payable entry is created in Canada through IDOC. so Accounting is OK.
How can I have this COGS of $12 posted in COPA ? Somewhere I read to use two condition types for VPRS, but unfortunately we cant do that as we have revenue recognition activated. only VPRS condition values comes through revenue recognition lines.
Since Delivering plant in US has a Standard cost of $10, VPRS is $10 in sales order and COPA gets the cost components from US plant, which is not correct. How can I have the mark up of $2 reflected in Cost components in COPA ?.
Assuming that I create a standard Cost estimate in a virtual Plant in Canada for $12 with two cost components for $10 and $2. Is it possible to manipulate VPRS on sales order to point to standard cost from this virtual plant and create a costing key to bring the cost split from this virtual plant into COPA. Has anybody tried this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna
    1. Does this material always necessitates a supply from US company??
If yes, then your task is easy.. Create a Costing Key and assign to such materials in KE4H... In this Costing Key, do not tick the radio button "Use Line Item Plant as Cost estimate Plant".... Instead, You can specify the default PLANT to be used for reading the Cost Estimates in the field "Specify Cost estimate PLant"
You can use the above solution in case you go with Virtual Plant also
    2. Are you saying that the VPRS in Sales order punched in Canadian comp code is 10 USD because the Delivery Plant is in US comp code?
I dont know how does Revenue recog behave in your case and when does VPRS (COGS) flow to COPA.... As you said, VPRS gets the feed from RR, so will manually manipulating the VPRS in sales order help you??
Anyways, the 2nd solution is as below... Few companies have used it
There is an output type in SD called RD04... I may not be fully right here, you can take it as RD0*... Ask your SD guy to identify the right output type
Using this, When you do the PGI in Canadian Comp code,
................. All this happens in background automatically...............
you can create a Virtual STO on USA Comp code....
USA does PGI and the stock virtually comes in Canadian Comp code
Then PGI happens from Canadian Comp code
................. All this happens in background automatically...............
This is a change in your process... The delivery plant for all practical purposes becomes Canadian Plant (only on paper)... Your Physical process can continnue as Delivery from USA...
This solution was adopted when both the companies were in same country.... Check with your business how far is it possibie for you
    3. Last option would be to use valuation exit COPA0002.... I dont know how you would use it considering you have RR in place....
Be very careful in doing this

Double click the status 51 to find the error message. 51 just tells that the Idoc has an error, but which error can only be seen if you go a step more into detail.
For what reason do you have level 1 product hierarchies in the system, if you need the full hierarchy to level 3?
    I give you example:
    Level 1 =11111
    level 2 = 21111, and 22222 and 23333
    level 3 = 31111 and 32222 and 33333
Hierarchy should only be maintained available in customizing only in its full length:
    111112222233333
    or 111112111131111
but not the level one alone.

  • Inter-company sales credit note cost

    Dear SD Consultants,
I have scenario of Cross Company sales, in itner-company invoice we have different pricing procedure in which we charge 2nd company with VPRS cost, now there is one doc. for return sales we have to give credit note for this return that is internal credit memo, but issue is that at the time of intercompany invoice system take VPRS Cost of that time now when we create internal credit memo cost is change and I wnat to post internal credit memo with similar amount of inter-company invoice.
please advice in this regard. for e.g. intercompany invoice create with 100AED and at the time of internal credit memo of same material is 120, system create IG with 120, I want to create with 100 AED.
    Thanx in Advance.

    Dear Danish
For creation of credit memo u must have given the reference of invoice or order .
Check for your copy control settings from invoice reference to credit memo request in VTAF.
Go to Item details select your item category and Keep pricing type as D .
I hope this will solve your problem.

  • Inter company stock transfer control issue

    Hello All,
In inter company Stock Transfer process, plant A has received scheduling agreement or PO from plant B. Is there any possibility of receiving material by plant B w/o sending / dispatching material by plant A? I guess this should not be possible.. but in our case it is happening. Being document type is of ZUB (which is similar process as intra company process).. also we have implemented WM. Material issuance or receipt will happen from outbound or inbound process.
Though there is a process violation but system would have restricted user not to receive materials. Can someone let me know is there any configuration issue ? If yes how to fix the issue? If no how to restrict user?
    Edited by: Krish9 on Aug 13, 2011 10:03 PM

    Hi,
As per your scenario you described, it is rather unclear what you are trying to achieve there.
How would the stock posting be balanced if we do not relief materials from Plant A if we are receiving it in Plant B?
The stock have to come from somewhere in order for Plant B to receive it. The same quantity of stock has to be reduced accordingly from the source plant (be it Plant A or some other plants).
I reckon if you just merely do not want to reflect that the stock is being dispatched from Plant A to Plant B, then you may want to consider using a dummy plant to represent Plant A or something to that effect.
    Hope the above helps.
    Thanks.

  • Issue in Inter Company postings

    Hi All,
Currently I face an issue with inter-company posting transaction. Let me explain the issue.
Using ‘FB01’ we can create inter-company postings by giving G/l and New Company code fields in the first screen. Let us say there are two company codes 0020,0040.
Giving these company codes and their corresponding G/ls in ‘FB01’ system creates 2 documents, one in each company code i.e, one document in 0020 and another document 0040. There will also be a link in the field ‘Cross-CC no’ which says this is an inter-company transaction.
    Following are my questions.
1.Can I create the ‘INTER-COMPANY’ Postings using ‘BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST’ ?  We can create accounting documents in both company codes 0020,0040 using this BAPI. But these two are becoming independent entries in each company code without any link ( Like the above case ‘Cross_CC no’) between them.
2.My another requirement is that I have to give an error message to user inside a user-exit while validating data. If I give message type ‘E’ inside the user-exit it is giving the message but the normal flow is halted. It is going out with a blank screen with error message and the transaction is not going further. Is it possible to give error messages inside a user-exit without obstructing the normal flow of any transaction? The transaction can also be executed in Background.
    Thanks for your help.
    Vinod.

For question one I'm interested in doing the same thing.
Did you get an answer on how to do INTER-COMPANY postings using this BAPI?
BR and many thanks in advance.

  • Inter company billing issue

    Hi,
We have plant A and plant B. Plant A belongs to sales org  A and company code A and Plant B belongs to sales org B and company code B.
we will book the sales order in sales org A but we want the  delivery plant to be B in sales order. My questions are:-
    1) In the config step of "organisational units by plant" for inter co billing, Do I need to assign the sales org A to plant B ??
    2) For determining plant B in sales order( to be booked uner sales org A), I will maintain plant B in customer master. Do I need to do some additional settings in config of  enterprise structure for determining plant B in sales order .i.e. in assigment of  enterprise structure , do i need to assign sales org A to plant B...? (in enterprise structure sales org A in any case will be assigned to plant A)
    3) In the config step , define " internal cust no by sales org". Which is the sales org for which i assign the internal customer   and under which sales org should I create the internal customer for plant ?

  • Issue in inter company billing

    HI
when i am doing inter company billing , i am getting the issue like  XXXX sales organization item 0000 is not defined.
i have setup all relavents setting which are related intercompany .
Could you help out in this case.
    Thanks,
    Phani

i have setup all relavents setting which are related intercompany
Then why system is giving the error message.  Please dont conclude you have done everything as you will NOT find the root cause of the issue.  Unless you missed out something, system will not throw such an error and I am sure, you will accept this.
Coming to the issue, check in IMG Path MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set Up Stock Transport Order > Define Shipping Data for Plants.  There your sending plant should be treated as a customer and assigned along with the required sales area.
    thanks

  • Inter - Company Stock Transport Order Issue

    MM SAP Gurus,
When I try working on "inter company stock transport order between two company codes."
I found the errors while creating PO(using document type UB)
    ie.
*1st Error -Material 1 not maintained in Plant 2.
2nd Error - Customer 1 does not exist (please check entry in plant 1)
3rd Error - Not possible to determine shipping data for material1)*
i couldnt find out the error................................
Here is the configuration done by me......
    Company codes:c1,c2
    Plant for c1:p1
    Plant for c2:p2
I m going to create and transfer stock from p2 to p1.
Here i m using stock transport order with billing(SD)
    Purchase org for c1:porg1
    Vendor for c1,porg1:v1
I assigned plant p2 in additional purchase data of vendor v1.
    Sales area for c2:sorg2,ds2,d2
    Customer for sales area(sorg1,ds1,d1):cust1
Now i go to mm->purchasing->purchase order->setup for stock transport order
    > for receiving plant p1 i assign cust1,sales area(sorg1,ds1,d1)
    > delivery type for supplying plant:NLCC
    >checking rule RP.
i assigned doc.type UB into receiving plant p1 and supplying plant p2.
Then, in ME21N used doc type UB, these r the errors::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
*1st Error -Material 1 not maintained in Plant 2.
2nd Error - Customer 1 does not exist (please check entry in plant 1)
3rd Error - Not possible to determine shipping data for material1)*
    I already maintained all this.
The doc type NB also I tried ,,,,,,,but same errors r being shown.
Also where to create the inter company a/cs for billing?
Please check the attached file for the error and let me know.

--> Vendor 1 is assigned to the supplying plant in the vendor master.
--> My question for u is:
      1)  In ME21N, in the vendor field u assign the vendor from CC1 or CC2 (Because it says the vendor - external supplier if u read in F1 in tht vendor filed)
Company code , Purc Org, plant all this will be from CC1 in ME21N, right?????????
Material exists in both the plants P1 and P2.......right?????
    2) How to configure the inter - company accounts for the billing in sd for this STO scenario.???

  • Inter company Issue

For Inter company scenario when we configure we need to assign Assign Organizational Units By Plant.
In my case i have 2 dist chnls and 4 div, but in this assignment i can only do one, so how will i do it for other sales areas.
    Eg: Plnt-ABC     Sorg-ABC     DstCh-AB     Div-CD
    Please help
    Thanks

In intercompany sale, the plant could be assigne to only one combination of dist chan and div.
Logically the material for which you are doing the intercompany sales will have the same division as division are nothing but grouping of perticular type of material.
So try to convince your business partner that it is possible with only one combination of dist chan and div.

Did you assign the allocation type to STO PO type and supplying plant. If not, you can do under the img, goto Purchase order -->Set up Stock Transport Order --> Define Allocation for Stock Transport Orders (AFS).
