Interactive Report only returns data if user login in english

Hi All.
I'm working with CRM 7.0
If i login in English, i can run the report "accounts with open activities" perfectly (and i can get some results with it). If the same user, with the same roles, login in Portuguese, and run the same report, system shows no results.
Any hint about this issue?

Hi Inês,
in fact it is difficult to understand the reason for this without screenshots of both EN and PT logon.
If the texts, which are shown in case of EN logon are all SAP standard texts and in other areas your Portuguese UI is pretty much complete, then I guess these texts are not translated and you should raise a customer message (adding the screen shots mentioned above). However this is of course only valid for SAP standard UI texts - and in addition there might be some specific applications where SAP does not provide translations to PT.

Chart in Interactive Report always returns IO Error

Hi everyone,
Recently our company has a web application project that utilizes APEX and its powerful Interactive Report.
However, everytime when we try to generate a chart based on the IR (by going to the "cog" and pick "chart"), we will get this "IO Error".
For the last couple of days I have been researching on the net for solutions but still no luck on how to fix this problem.
I have used Firefox to check into the source code of the page.
To my surprise is that calling just the chart component is fine (the swf file does load up and wait for data), and so is calling that lengthy "...apex_util.flash2?..." xml-file under the variable "FlashVar" (an xml file is returned correctly).
But when the chart is called in the IR it just keeps displaying "IO Error".
This web app is hosted behind a reverse proxy server. Moreover, upon testing it is confirmed that the chart will be able to generate if the IP of the server is used to access the app... but not with the proxy domain name.
Using the plain server IP is not an option as this IP cannot be accessed from outside of the company; all traffic is routed via the domain proxy server.
It seems as is the proxy server is doing something in the middle, but I can't seem to find any information regarding conflicts between proxy server and anychart anywhere on the net.
I did find some information about Flash and crossdomain data access, and had created the "crossdomain.xml" file under the root directory of the data server as instructed from Anychart documentation and Adobe Flash Support TechNote (http://www.anychart.com/products/anychart/docs/users-guide/security-error.html and http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14213.html).
However it still does not solve the IO Error problem.
Please help! My team do have a demo approaching next week.

Interactive report filtered by date/time ?

Hi All,
I have an interactive report in my application.
Sql query of the report having start date ,end date column name.E.g.The values of start date and end date are like 16-NOV-2009 12:00AM and 16-NOV-2009 12:00AM.
I have 2000 records in my report.
When I go to Filter on the column, I can only pick the Date and not the Time. Is there a way so I can enter Date/Time as the Filter?
I need your help.Please suggest some solution.

In an interactive report
Click actions -> click filter -> select 'Start date' ||select operator 'between'||select click expression calender.
In the calender ,i want to display bath time and date.If its a user defined item like P2_START_DATE then i can set the format mask and check the date and time ,but its a in built one!! appearing from Action menu.
Am using APex 4.0,Is it a known apex issue or we can do it by adding some custome code or plugin?

How to enable detail view interactive report as default for public user?

Hello all,
I'm currently developing a search results page.
I'm trying to do a nice view instead of a default table like view from the interactive reports. So in this case i enabled the detail view so i could make fancy designs.
all worked well and looked neat but however when i pass value from my search page using IR_ROWFILTER and clear the results page using page_no,RIR, it brings me to the interactive reports result page with the default table like view.
i have to press the detail view to get it. i tried saving it as default but it wont work. this issue is for public user.
if i make the page requires authentication, and save the detail view as default i would not have any problem. i could search and it will straightly bring to the detail view of the search page.
of course the other reason i found is because im using the IR_ROWFILTER and clearing page using page_no,RIR..without it,it works well but i need it coz im doing a a search result. i need to send search text from another page and put it in the filter in the search page. i would need to use RIR to clear it for searching again.
is this a limitation for public user? it doesnt happened for authenticated user though..
how can i make this view as default for public user?

Do you really need this to be an IR? Other than the detail layout, do you require any of the interactive features? If not, try using a standard report with a custom report template.

Interactive report filter for date not working correctly

I am having an interactive report. I tried to give a filter for a column(created_on) as created on>29-oct-2009 17:17
but i am getting the row containing created on as *29-oct-2009 17:17* in the report result. How can i correct this

I think it is because seconds.
So it is 29-oct-2009 17:17:00 and your record is e.g. 29-oct-2009 17:17:02

Interactive Reporting:Error reading data of InfoProvider /CRMBW/CSAL_C01

Hi Forum,
I configured an interactive reporting to read interaction record data.
When I execute the reporting, I am getting the following error message:
+Error reading the data of InfoProvider /CRMBW/CSAL_C01+
+No destination exists to source system YYYCLNT999+
The RFC mentioned in the error message is not the correct one. But I checked the configuration in RSA1 and the RFC mentioned there is the correct one. So, I think I am missing a customizing that is pointing to the wrong client...
Any idea ?

Hi,
first you should check the overall configuration. Go to your CRM client and run transaction /CRMBW/CONFIG_WIZARD. If there are errors or warnings, solve them step by step. The transaction should be self-explaining but may require some expertise (the documentation provided should help, though).

Saved Interactive reports options display for all users

Hello,
For now I build once again my apex apllications in Apex 4.0
I created a user. In the apex administration this user is not an administrator and not a developper either.
However the saved interactive report options display for him too, so he can choose the look of the default report, etc...
Is that a bug ?? Or did I forget something ?

Fanny, as long as you are logged in as a developer in apex you will be able to save the report as the standard report, no matter with what user you are logged into your application.

Interactive Report uses XML data saved in database for creating PDF files?

Hello all,
I installed Apache FOP to allow a PDF "Download" in the Interactive Reports.
Correct me if i'm wrong, when a PDF file is created with the Interactive Report option "Download", it uses a XML data to make it. Right ??
I would like know where in the database is this XML code located.

After some searching i found that XML its stored as a BLOB and it is used as XML based report data and RTF or XSL-FO based report layout.
I didn't find yet where is located the XML used by Interactive Reports. If someone knows where in the APEX database is the XML located please share.

Interactive report - Function returning SQL query

i notice that it is not possible to create an interactive report based on a function call. can anyone shed any light on why this is?
also, is there a work around possible? i really dont want to store my SQL query inside a page in the application

I tried the collection workaround as well but noticed that it gets incredible slow when data sets grow bigger. Depending on what you need maybe my solution is of help for you:

I would like to ONLY return the field "famsalu" where field "famordr" = 1
Note that the punctuation is correct in the first record, but not in the others. I still report on the other rows, but when returning "famsalu" can I make it Always be from where famorder = 1 ?

You can use the select statement, right click on your famorder field, select the select expert, your select may look like this = "1"

Exclude column from interactive report when exporting data

Hello!
Is it possible to exclude column from exporting (using bi publisher) in interactive report, but having in report. So in report it is, but in export result it isnt :). I know, that I can just not to select this column in "Action" menu before exporting, but then to select it to view in report. But is it possible not to export this column, but having it in report result?
I Just have a checkbox in report, and I dont need to see it in export result.
APEX 4.1.

I am trying to use an interactive form to capture some data from the user.
This is what I have planned to do
User runs a program which will have four function module calls
(FP_JOB_OPEN
FP_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME
'Function modules which the above function module returned'
FP_JOB_CLOSE)
This will display a print box where I can click on the print preview to get the interactive form.
From here I am not sure how to go about, but following is what I can think
Once the user enters the data in the form and he should be given some button to click(say save). This button click should trigger the program (PAI) which will read the data from the form (this data will be saved to a Z table)..
First of all, Can I do this? Please guide
Note: I am not using WebDynpro ABAP or JAVA. Rather I am trying to use a Module pool + interactive form solution.

Report 2 returning data from previously ran report 1 - Plus/Viewer

We have an issue running through discoverer viewer and plus.
If you run the first report with a parameter for the year with this returns the correct data. However if you run report after the first with year 09-10, the 08-09 data is returned again from the previous report
It doesn't matter which order you run them i.e. if you run the 09-10 first and then the 08-09 the 09-10 data is returned.
The reports work fine when run in Discoverer Desktop.
When 2nd report is run after first it returns the data that appears in the first. This Does not happen on Disco Desktop. The SQL from the reports also runs correctly in TOAD.
Metalink notes suggest turning of the Webcache but this is not turned on in either apps tiers
I have also recreated both reports and this has not made a difference either.

Hi,
Even with webcache turned off Discoverer holds the results of the last run from plus/viewer in the application server and will return these results unless an explicit refresh is entered. Normally, if different parameters are entered this is recognised and the report is re-run. I don't know how you are running your report but for some reason it is not recognising the new parameters and returning the last result set. A refresh should return the correct results.

I would like to create a Members Only page on our site which allows our dealers to create their own user name / password. I would need to be able to manage the database of login information in order to remove users as necessary. Any advice on a widget or program that would work with Muse to accomplish this?

Report is returning data which isn't there.

I have a simple report pulling data from one table. I went through and deleted the information and I am still having 2 rows show up, where I KNOW there is no data.
I've gone through SQL developer and copy/pasted the query and I get nothing returned. I've refreshed everything, down to the computer level and even restarted since I first saw this problem, and I am still getting the same 2 rows displayed.
ANy idea whats going on??

well I just did this and I have no idea why some of the data showed as deleted and these two still existed. I deleted them in one fell swoop, deleting by the date they were added, all yesterday. Thanks for that pointer though, amazing it was somehting that simple :)
If I am to include a "delete" button on an APEX app which deletes rows, would I want a commit command inside that button also, or does it automatically get processed?
