i have create an interactive report with pagination .i have follow instraction form

Now it show me that code in header in my page .No value in my pagination select list.
How can i solve this problem.

Interactive report loosing pagination state

Hi I need your help please,
I have a page with 2 reports in a master detail fashion. The master report is an interactive report with a link that when clicked loads the record detail on the second report; this works fine.
However when the page reloads after the click the master (interactive) report is apparently re-queried from the database and the rows change, it goes back to pagination 1 , independently if when I clicked on the record it was in the pagination 3 or 11 or any, as a consequence even when I have the detail loaded in the second report I cannot see the original row in which I cliked on the main report.
How to avoid this?

Start a new thread. Yes, that's exactly what the "powers that be" want you to do. Start a new "thread" not resurrect an old one. Interactive Report with PL/SQL Function Source

Is it possible to create interactive report with PL/SQL function source returing a query? If not, has anyone done any work to simulate the interactive reporting feature for a normal report using API?

I haven't tried that before but you could:
1. create a collection from your result set returned by a dynamic query,
2. create a view on that collection,
3. use the view in your interactive report.
The usability of this proposal depends from a question how "dynamic" your query is - does it always have the same number of columns or not.

Problem of POP LOV in a SQL Report with pagination

I am using a pop up lov (along with some other fields), HTMLDB_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_LOV(5, null, 'EMPLOYEE_LIST', '20', '50')), in a sql report. This is a report with pagination. Whenever I select any value from pop up lov on first page of the report it gets populated properly in the corresponding text field. But from second page onwards it doesnt populate any value.
For example, my report fetches a total of 50 rows, of which I am displaying 15 at a time. The popup lov comes with a text field for each row. Whenever I do select from popup lov for 1-15 rows which come on page 1, the values come up in the text field properly, but for rows 16-30 on second page, 31-45 on third 46-50 on fourth the values do not get populated. When I changed the pagination settings to display 40 rows..the values were still coming properly on page 1(1-40 rows) and not on the next page. Any clues how to resolve this problem?

good find. this is a bug that has already been identified and will be corrected in the upcoming patch release for htmldb. a good work-around for now is to use the equivalent declarative options in the tool. so rather than coding your query like...
select ename , HTMLDB_ITEM.POPUP_FROM_LOV(2, null, 'DEPARTMENT', '20', '50') as "department" from emp
...just code it like this...
select ename , null as "department" from emp
...and then use the column attributes screen for your "department" column to indicate that you'd like that col to be rendered as a "Popup LOV (named LOV)" using your DEPARTMENT list of values.

Empty report with pagination, rows not displayed

Dear HTML DB Team,
We have in our reports the next error: An empty report with pagination appears , no rows not displayed
The test case to reproduce the error:
1. Create "SQL report" with next report attributes in "Layout and Pagination"
a. Row ranges 1-15 16-30 in select list (with pagination)
b. Number of Rows : 15
c. Number of Rows (Item): empty
d. Max Row Count: empty
2. Fill the table on which the report is based with 17 rows
3. Go to the 2nd page of the report , pagination rows 16-17 of 17
4. Remove 2 rows from the table, refresh report
5, The pagination shows now 1 - 15 of 15 rows
- no rows displayed
- no "previous button" ( only )
- no way to get the rows displayed, except logging out and in again

Hello,
i encountered the same problem while developing in HTMLDB.
In application builder, i select application Application 106, then click on items, then click next ( the application has 22 global items). Now i want to take a look at the global items in application 105 (there are only 5). In the menu i click Builder - Application 106, select application 105 from Available Applications, click Go and Items. It shows no rows, but says that is displaying rows 1-5, and offers a Next button. No way to see/modify the items unless make a new session or go back to Application 106, Click Previous to see the first page of global items and then again switch to Appication 105 or click to the next button and then manually set pg_min_row=1 in URL.
One more question - is this forum the right place to report bug suspicions, or is there some other special place for that?

Interactive Report with Null Columns

I've got a user who wants to export an interactive report, and he needs certain columns to appear on the export for him to fill the data in later (this is an intermediate step, while we work on getting all the data he needs in to the database). I've created the report query, and there are a handful of null/empty columns (to preserve the correct order for the export). When I try to add this query to APEX in an interactive report, I get a "ORA-00001: unique constraint (APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS_UK2) violated" error.
Googling around shows me that this happens because of similarly-named columns, and the solution is to provide aliases to all columns. My report has aliases on all columns, but I still cannot create an interactive report. I've tried changing the null columns to empty strings, as well as enclosing the aliases in double-quotes, but nothing works. I can however use my original query to create a standard report, but due to the export requirement, this isn't ideal.
I was able to create the interactive report with one null column, and then edited the report source to add in the others. This had to be done one at a time, since trying to add multiple null columns at the same time gives the same error again. Unfortunately, when I try and run the page, I get an "ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined" error.

The problem is likely that you have two columns aliased as "projected_cost" (7th column and 11th column).

Interactive Report with union all in the query

I have an interactive report with the following query in the report region:

The bottom query is actually the third query, it encompasses the two that are unioned. It is generated by APEX to allow for the search facility - to achieve what you want ignore the larger query, and get your query working in something like SQL developer. Once it's working then put it into APEX, and the search wrapper will be generated.

Then you need to think about how you are using the report, if it is linked to from another report, then create a hidden variable and pass it from the parent.
If the report is standalone , then you could create an item , that can be edited and when submitted, re-executes the report based on the criteria entered.

Interactive Report with specific rows editable

I have an interactive reports, with the edit (pencil) link to a maintenance form. I only want the link to show for specific records in the reports. Can you put a condition in the link column to the pencil for certain records?
If so, how can you access the value of the field? ie. I need to check the value of 'USER_NAME' in the select below against :APP_USER

After reading this great note (Copy to Clipboard LMCButton) I have implemented it, but the interactive report does not working properly - the pagination does not working, I can't use other interactive report features from the actions menu, and s.o.
Additionally I have the problem with IE 10 and Coogle Chrome:
IE 10 shows me the button only if I upload the swf file to the #IMAGE_PREFIX# directory
Google Chrome shows me the flash button not at all.
The javascript function call is in the "HTML Expression" field of the interactive report column.

Can't see interactive report page pagination icon

Version 3.2.0.00.27
When my interactive report first appears, it displays "1-15" in the pagination region. It does not show an icon to let me display the next 15 rows.
However, if I modify the report (as a user), and save that version (as "temp") so that I now have the "Working Report" and "temp" tabs, the pagination now includes the next page icon (i.e. 1-15 ->)
What do I need to do to have the next-page icon appear in my default report?

About privilege it4s ok, I have full control, all the permissions.
When I do "Refresh Portlet Repository" it gives me this ....

Interactive Report With No Column Heading

Is it possible to display a column with no heading (label) in an interactive report ?
I have tried to delete the column heading and save, but when I run the report,
it is still there

Interactive report with checkbox and editable field

Hi,
For a project I'm working on I need to create a interactive report in Apex 3.2 with the ability to select lines and to modify one of the columns in the report.
To do this, I started off by adding these two fields to the selection query of my IR:
apex_item.checkbox(1, product_number) cb
and
apex_item.text (2,QTY_TO_ORDER) QTY_TO_ORDER
cb is the checkbox files, and QTY_TO_ORDER is the editable field.
That worked like a charm and I got my two fields in the report.
To process the values, I added this page process, wich for now should only store the "product number" and "QTY_TO_ORDER" fields in a table.

However, this doesn’t work the way I want it to work. When I check the checkboxes of two rows, it will store two rows with the right product numbers, but it will take the top two QTY_TO_ORDER field of the table regardless of which ones are checked. I was able to solve this problem, by adding a rownum to the query and using the rownum as the value for the checkbox. Since I still need the product_number and qty_to order fields I made them both text fields.
I changed my page process to:
BEGIN
FOR i in 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01.count LOOP
insert into mytmptable values (APEX_APPLICATION.G_F02(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i)),
APEX_APPLICATION.G_F03(APEX_APPLICATION.G_F01(i)));
END LOOP;
commit;
end;
This seemed to solve the problem, and I now got the right values in the table, unless I used sorting in the report... As soon as I sorted the report in a way different than by rownum, I got the wrong values in the table. The reason for this is of course that my insert just selects the nTh row from the table, and my rownums aren't dynamic.
I've found a lot of examples on the internet using '#ROWNUM#' in the selection, which should dynamically generate a rownum in the report. This seems to work in normal report, but in a interactive reports, the literal values '#ROWNUM#' shows up.
Is there any way to solve this issue?

Try with 3 fields:

The hidden field should be display as a hidden column.
Then your process can be:

I have a nice request used with an interactive report.

from "#OWNER#"."CONTRATS_MAINTENANCE"
order by DATE_FIN descUnfortunately, the interactive report does not displays using the order into the SLQ query.
I tried to de select the "sort" option of each other columns into the Column attributes Section, but without any improvement. If I remove the order statement from the SQL query, nothing changes in the order.
Do you have an idea on how to display the lines in the order of the sql query ?

This can be a little tricky at first. Try this:
1. Remove the order by clause from the query.
2. Log out of the application, not the builder, just the application.
3. Log back in and try using the options in the interactive report to sort the information.
Does it work? If so:
4. Get the order the way you would like it as the default. Note: you get more sort options if you use the Action Menu (grind wheel) and selecting Sort over just clicking the column headers.
5. Save the report by selecting the Save Report option from the Action Menu. If you see a drop down, save the report as the "default".
6. Log out of the application again and back in.
Does it work?
