Interface errors (crc, in/output, collisions etc.) via snmp

Hi,
I'm trying to understand how to get interface errors via SNMP. I do get stats via SNMP for ifInErrors / ifOutErrors etc, but I'm trying to get output via SNMP for the errors visible via the 'sh int x' command - CRC errors, input / output errors, collisions, runts. giants etc.).
1) The SNMP ifInError / ifOutError seems to give an overall counter of all errors from the time the device has started - Am I correct about this?
2) Is there any way I can get the interface-specific errors noted above via SNMP?

Depends on the device and version of code, but most likely you will get what you want from the CISCO-IF-EXTENSION-MIB. Look at objects like cieIfInRuntsErrs, cieIfInGiantsErrs, and cieIfInFramingErrs. You will also get some ethernet-specific errors from the ETHERLIKE-MIB.

What types of Interface Errors lead to Input/Output Drops/Discards?

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows if all of the following errors would lead to packet drops/discards.
Runts
Giants
Framing Errors
Overrun Errors
Abort Errors
Also, are there any types of interface errors that don't lead to packet drops/discards?
So if all interface errors lead to packet drops/discards, I may not have to poll for multiple OIDs for these errors, but instead just poll for packet drops/discards.
Any insight would be appreciated.

ifInDrops do not related to errors. In fact, ifInDiscards specifically count packets that were discarded without an associated error. This could be due to a lack of buffer space (e.g. no queue slot), or there was no listener for a TCP connection. The same is true for ifOutDiscards.
For a consolidated error count, look at ifInErrors and ifOutErrors. It will depend on the interface/encapsulation type as to what exactly will be counted as an error, but anything that would be an encap-specific error should appear in one of the interface error counters.

EEM interface errors not matching

I have the event applet configured below. I test by changing the controller time-slots to 1-15 instead of 1-24 in order to generate errors on my Serial0/1/0:0 interface. Errors are generated, but the eem applet does not match even though the errors are incrementing. I've turned on all suggested eem debugging and it shows 0 matches while I can see that the interface is incrementing the errors that should be triggering the actions from the eem.

Interface Errors with connection to F5's

We are seeing input errors on all the interfaces that connect to our F5's.
We have checked the duplex (hard set to 100 full both ends, swapped the cable and switch interface but not changed the F5 as all the interfaces have the same issue on different F5's and Cisco switches.

Patch Failed - error 004, Could not find etc\config\inventory

Hi:
I'm trying to upgrade a 10.1.0.2 database with the new patch (via Enterprise Manager) and although EM had all steps succeeding (cachePatchFile, checkTarget, stagePatch, expandPatch, applyPatchWIN, collectionStep) when I look at the logs, I see that the applyPatchWIN step actually failed. Does anyone know why this occurs? How do I make redo the last two tasks after making whatever changes I need to make?

Error in Report Output

Hi Every one,
I have an issue in one Oracle report developed in 10g. I am able to get pdf output in User Interface but not Excel output. so I have gone through other oracle report existing which have EXCEL output in UI. I have seen JAVA code as 'desformat=spreadsheet<code>desformat=xls'
when I put the same code for my report, it is rendering the following ERROR:

REP-1814: Report cannot be formatted. Object 'horizontally' can never fit within 'B_1'.
can anybody please let me know the solution for this. this is Urgent.

You can get output in PDF as you see in report runtime preivew.
But you can't get same output in .txt.
Bcoz if it is in .txt , there is a problem with null strings for each of the columns..
Bcoz the report is in bit-map mode.
So plz change it into Character mode.
go thru steps mentioned in reports--help.
type character mode settings.
try with this.

How to check current input/output rate on router subintenterface via SNMP?

How to check current input/output rate on router (2821, etc..) subintenterface via SNMP, like cacti monitoring system.
I cant find OID to make this with snmpwalk.
Or there is no way to check current load by this way? Only polling?

CS5 Error with Animation Output

Running CS5 on a Mac 10.6.4
Every time I render, it gives the following error message:
An output module failed. The file may be damaged or corrupted. (-1610153464)
I've tested the files on a different machine and they open and render out fine.
I did some searches and for some it was the dreaded Optical Flares plugin from Video CoPilot causing this same problem.
I'm having these issues and I don't have any plugins installed.
Re-Installed everything 3 times, trashed preferences, removed plugins from the Application support and still no luck.
The only thing that works for me is outputting to a PNG or JPEG sequence.
If I try to render using the Animation preset, It gives the error message.
I also have been getting a weird "MooV" error message when I try to import certain types of quicktime files. Not all just a few random ones.
All of this leads me to believe it may be an issue with 32 bit Quicktime.
Any suggests on how I can get the Animation preset working again?

Sure, I had the exact problem posted at the top of this thread. Spent two days reading all the posts regarding anything that had to do with this Output Module error. I finally came upon a post of someone who was having a similar issue as I with the hang at start up. However, the post was replied to by a guy who said "Repeat the hang with only AE running, then go to the Activity Monitor and select the QT32 Server process. Then press the "Sample Process" button at the top of the window...It looks like both of you are having a similar problem with a third party AVI codec. Please remove or uninstall any third party AVI codecs such as DivX, XVid, etc. from your system and try AE again."
"You can also temporarily disable these components by closing any QT related apps and then dragging components out of the Library/QuickTime folder on your boot drive. If that works, try adding them back one by one until it fails again. That is the problem codec."
So I removed AviImporter.component from Library/Quicktime on the boot drive and these two problems were solved.

The best guess is this crash is caused due to an issue with the PC.
Make sure your iPad is updated to the latest operating system: iOS 7.0.4 and make sure iTunes is updated to iTunes 11.
iTunes 11 is optimised for iOS 7, so if you have an iOS 7 device and non iTunes 11 computer, life would be hard.
Try to update iTunes to 11.1.3 from: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Even try uninstalling iTunes and then re-installing. iTunes will not lose any of your iTunes songs when your un-install it as iTunes stores every media item in a folder found in (or around): C:\Users\NAME\Music\iTunes
Obviously iTunes and iDevices work best using Mac iTunes however; iTunes 11 and iOS 7 iPad Mini should work fine.
In summary possible solutions:
1.       Update iPad Mini to iOS 7 or better (iOS 7.0.4)
2.       Update iTunes to iTunes 11.1.3
3.       Restart both PC and iPad
4.       Uninstall iTunes from PC

How to resolve the Error in address output error in smartforms.
If I want to see the print preview of Po then I am getting the above error.
any idea for resolving it?

first make sure that it is maintained properly or not...

means firstname, last name , city, street etc......

RTP Interface error

Hi All,
I am getting a RTP Interface error when i execute my RTP interface. Below is the error message-:
"Error X_WRTPOUT-ICODES in ISU_RTP_RTPRESVAL_CREATE when accessing RTP component &1 period &2"
This error message appears because i havent assigned any output parameters to my 'Default' RTP component code.
If i assign my ouput result code to my 'default' RTP component output then it works fine but then it does not work as per the requirement.
There is SAP note 1353441 for this error message and this is because of the SAP standard FM error. I have implemented this note in my system and still getting the above error message.
In RTP interface it is not necessary to assign any output parameters to 'Default' RTP component code because i have assigned output parameters to my other RTP comp codes.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Can anyone guide me with the resolution of this issue?

I get this error during billing execution using EA00 tcode. Also when i execute FM - ISU_RTP_INTERFACE_SINGLE_RUN to check my RTP interface output i get the same error message.
Below are the error details-:

Diagnosis
An access error occurred while an internal table was being read.
SAP Note-:
I have only applied SAP note 1353441 and havent applied 1378483 note.
I had a look at 1378483 note today and found that the correction for this note contains commenting the code that causes my above error. Hence i think that implementing 1378483 note should remove my error. I will ask basis guys to apply this note tomorrow and will update you about this.

I want to know how to dynamically output a image via struts insted of servlet;
I can work it fine with the serverlet, this how i get it to work via serverlet:
