Interface for Configuration Rules

Hi, I need to know, whether there is any Open Interface or Public API to import Configuration Rules. Please somebody help me out.

We are engaged into a very large scale Configurator
implementation. We need to build huge no. of models
(500 odd) and there is lot of similarity across
models. As you are aware that we can not copy the
Features and Options across models, we would like to
evaluate any possible options to create Features,
Options and associated properties through backend.
Please note that this will a one time exercise and
any updates into Model Structure will be done from
front end.Another approach you should probably consider before a custom import of that magnitude is to define the desired features and options in a single non-BOM model, and then reference it from each of the models that need it. The benefit here is that you define the guided buying data once, and can maintain it from a central definition. Even if the models do not share all of the structure, it may be useful to organize it into a set of similar non-BOM models organized by product families or however your 500 models categorize.
The rules for any products with both BOM and guided buying are going to fall into 3 general buckets: (1) Rules between guided buying features, (2) Rules between BOM options, and (3) Rules using the guided buying selections to pick BOM options.
Using the approach above, you can move most or all of the rules in (1) into the common non-BOM model(s), which may reduce your maintenance as well.
Your user interfaces defined on the BOM models may still display the features in the referenced model (assuming the model is a fixed, not optional reference) by using a page include region.
