Internal key in formatted search table

How does the internal key field in the formatted search table get assigned?
(ouqr.intrnalkey)
Is this field taken from another SQL table that I'm not aware of?

onnm - objectcode column.
160 for ouqr
111 for oqcn

    Hye, I'm trying to do a formatted search over a user table using and I get the error -2006, why?
    I use "report generator" and my selecc is :
    SELECT T0.U_grupo, T0.U_CODE
    FROM T0
    WHERE T0.U_grupo ='[%0]' FOR BROWSE
    If I do the same with standar table ( e.j OITM),  all is right:
    SELECT T0.ItemCode, T0.ItemName
    FROM OITM T0
    WHERE T0.PrchseItem ='[%0]' FOR BROWSE
    unless, with user tables no, whyyyy?

    I have seen this, though I don't have an official answer, I have my own theories.  SBO matches up the variable with the previous field name and looks up the description for that field.  The description for user fields is not stored in the same place as standard fields.
    In a previous thread, named "SQL Syntax in SBO" (number 7144) another user showed a way to do dummy selects with the variables to get the names of standard fields.  Then the variables can be used for the real work.
    That is awkward, and it limits you to the descriptions of standard fields.

    that query assigned to FMS for UDF or some other fields. Identity that UDF and press shiftaltF2 and choose" wittout search  in user defined Fields. after delete that query. its worked

  • Formatted search on User Table

    Hi..,
          I need to set formatted search for user table which is @DCNR . My Requirement is that i need to  Pick CST NO from BP Master  . In my user screen i had taken CARDCODE value using CFL which is binded to the field U_ven in the table @DCNR.Using this CARDCODE value i need to pick CSTNO from BP master to the user screen which is binded to the table (@DCNR).My Query is as follows but it is not working,
    SELECT crd7.taxid1 from crd7 inner join @dcnr on crd7.cardcode  = @dcnr.u_ven where crd7.cardcode = $[@dcnr.u_ven]
    U_VEN field contains card code value.
    Do i need to follow some other terms in order to write formatted search on user table.
    Hope some one would help to fix this problem.

  • Formatted search - how to get table or form name

    Hello,
    I'm trying to create a generic query for modifying "Journal Remark" on different documents (Goods receipt, invoices ...) thru a formatted search
    My problem is that I want to customize the "remark" according to the current document.
    is there a way to get the table name or the form number in a query ? or should I to create a different query for each document ?

    If you activate the System Information from Menu Bar> View> System Information. Then when you move the cusrsor from any of the document you get some variable values which displays the ID of forms colums and rows.
    You can get this information for your FMS. There is no need to create no. of FMS for each Document. Just take the variables into the FMS and apply to the same ID documents.....

    I have the following formatted search query on a user defined table : select $[dbo.[@SALES_BUDGET].U_AcctCode]
    It throws an error when I attempt to execute it. What's the proper way to write formatted searches on User Defined Tables. Please advice.

    This works very well on the delivery docs :
      select  $[ODLN.DocNum] 
       on the header fields of a delivery document, Why not this
    select  $[SALES_BUDGET.U_AcctCode]  
    on a field in the User defined Table  ? Is it the syntax ?

  • Failed to find out the source table of query in the formated search

    Dear All,
    I am trying to find out how to know the table that it is the source of a formatted search query. In the query manager --> formatted search --> select one of query --> double click to see the query. I see the query but I can't find out what table it will be used if the query like this :
    SELECT $[$13.87.NUMBER] - ($[$13.9.NUMBER] + $[$13.88.NUMBER])
    If I go to receipt from production form, the column no relate to the above query are mixture of IGE1 and OWOR, so what actually the table must I choose if I redesign the above query from query generator. I need your help to solve this question. I appreciate your answer. TIA

    Hi Steve,
    Assuming the FS is currently assigned to a form field you could try the following:
    - Look in OUQR for the query and get it's id (OUQR.IntrnalKey).
    - Look for this id value in CSHS.QueryID and check the FormID value of any records listed. It's not the table name you're looking for but the FormID might help e.g. 139 = Sales Order = ORDR/RDR1 etc.

    I need some quality check on the items after delivery so i am trying to manage it through the user defined tables.I created two tables first is document type ,Second is Document type rows.Now i created 5 user defined field in both the table.Now i want to call my sales order and its items in the UDT.so i created one fms and call the sales order in the Document table now when i double click on the first row after that i am able to see the new table which is the document row table .Now i need the item code and description of the selected sales order in the document rows table.So how the items and description can come in the row type table through FMS..

  • Internal error while using Formatted Search

    Hi
    I am adding Assessable value in total amount at row level of sales document. For achieving so im using Shift +F2 on total amount field, which results in sum of assessable value and total amount. It is working properly in some of documents but throws message of internal error in some of the documents.
    Im not able to understand that why error is coming in some of the documents?

    1. Have the screen open where you have the Shift F2, you can manually run the query of the formatted search, it will sometimes give you more meaningful message.
    Eg:
    You have a formatted search query 'Query 1'  which is saved in Tools> User Query> Query 1 attached to field DocTotal.
    So, what you do is, instead of pressing Shift F2, you go to tools > User Query.> Query 1 to run it.
    2. Another thing could be the field you used in the formula do not have the focus when you run it.
    Eg: you use $[4.0.0] in the query.
    When you press Shift F2,  the field represents $[$4.0.0] do not have focus.

            i have created one UDF field in market document rows, now in AR invoice i need to add the values in the UDF fields of two rows, want to show it in anather outside UDF in title. kindly suggest me some query to track that.
    Ex:- i had entered two items in rows and
    for first UDF row i have given 20
    for second UDF row i have given 30.
    now i need to show sum of the two UDF in two rows in title UDF.
    kindly give me some query used for formatted search to do this task.

    To the best of myknowledge When you try to take the row value to the header the results of the Formatted Search are not consistent.
    but for your interest, I am giving below the logic to work this out.
    You need two Header level user fields.  One to copy the row user fields value and the other to store the sum.
    You can create a simple SQL "SELECT $[$38.U_UserFieldName] (substitute with row level user field name) and attach it to the first header level user field and make it Auto refresh on doc total.
    Then Attached SQL  "SELECT $[ORDR.U_HeaderUserField1] + $[ORDR.U_HeaderUserField2]"
    The results could be flaky because the header user field takes the value of the active row and sometime it only considers the first row active though you might be entering the second row of data.
    My recommendation would be to Use The Transaction Notification Stored Procedure for this by which you can be absolutely sure that the Header User field will have the sum.
    Let me know if you need directions for this.

  • Defining keys on user defined tables

    Regarding tables of type 'lines' (in document or master data).
    I want to define a unique key for the DocEntry fields and some other user-field (so I could restrict the user to add only 1 type of line for each master record), but the problem is that keys can be defined only on the user-defined fields.
    Is there any way around this?
    I can easily go to the SQL manager and add this unique index myself, but will that harm my SBO system in any way?

    Hi Avi,
    A formatted search is a customization functionality in SBO that doesn't require SDK to work. It allows a field to be selected from a list of values that you can enter or query. It also allows you to display in that field an automatic values that triggers when a value in other field changes. More information in product training :).
    It has some limitations, but using it smartly can be very helpful. A very basic way to use it is copying a value from one field to another (like DocEntry or Code). In a default form it'd be like $[$3.DocEntry], where 3 is the ItemID and DocEntry is the ColumnID. You save it in the query manager, and the focus on the field you want to assign the formatted search and do it using AltShiftF2. Anyway have a look at the official SBO training.

    Is it possible to fetch the value of first row of quantity column in user defined field through formatted search?
    SELECT $[$38.11.number]
      does work but in user defined column of matrix only. I have requirement that when there will be only one row in matrix, the quantity should be accessible in user defined field. and for this, the above query gives internal error.

    I used the query sent by you and further facing following problem. may be my filtering is on wrong parameter.
    SELECT $[rdr1.quantity] * $[ordr.u_qty1.number] from ordr o, rdr1 r where o.cardcode= $[ordr.cardcode] and r.itemcode = $[rdr1.itemcode]
    this query gives correct result when assigning to matrix column.
    when I applied the same query to user defined field, then after selecting the row as suggested by you, it does give value but, in this case, it takes it from rdr1 instead of from matrix.
    for example, I have selected item A001 in matrix. if that item is already there in rdr1, then it fetches its quantity from table instead of that provided by me in matrix's quantity column
    Please guide further,

    I am trying to place a formatted search in the document number series of PO to change it to a particular numbering series whenever the supplier code starts with '0'.
    This is the query i have tried.
    SELECT CASE WHEN T0.[CardCode] Like '0%%'  THEN 'Comms'
    It just seems to come back with an internal error, is this possilbe? if so how?

    Hi Experts
    I would like to get some help on a formatted search I wish to created which will show the payment terms of a BP in a UDF on the Sales Order form.
    I have created a UDF and applied a formatted search to it which only brings in the record key of the payment terms:
    SELECT T0.[GroupNum] FROM OCRD T0 WHERE T0.[CardCode] = $[$4.1.0]
    Ideally I wish it to actually show me the Payment Group name from the OCTG table.

    SELECT T1.[PymntGroup] FROM OCRD T0  INNER JOIN OCTG T1 ON T0.GroupNum = T1.GroupNum
    WHERE T0.[CardCode] =$[$4.0.0]
    apppply this to payment terms UDF in sales order.

    You can refer to fields in an entry screen using the syntax
    $[Table name.Field name]
    The table name is the name of the table belonging to the entry screen, for example, OINV for the A/R invoice entry screen.
    You can also use the fieldu2019s item number and fieldu2019s column number to refer to a field on the entry screen. By doing this, the query applies to all document entry screens. The syntax is then
    $[$Fieldu2019s item number.Fieldu2019s column number.NUMBER/CURRENCY/DATE/0]
    The system is able to uniquely identify each field of a document using the fieldu2019s index number and fieldu2019s column number. If you have activated the debug information under View  Debug Information, the system displays the fieldu2019s item number and the fieldu2019s column number in the status bar.
    You use the NUMBER parameter if the field concerned contains an amount and a currency key, and you want to extract the amount only. 
    You use the CURRENCY parameter if the field concerned contains an amount and a currency key, and you want to extract only the currency key.
    You use the DATE parameter if the field concerned is a date field and you want to use it for calculations.
