International Shipping + Usage

My dad is buying me an iPad, however he lives in the US and I am currently in the UK for university. I would like a US one because I want to be able to use the 3G when I go back to the States. If I get a UK one I would have to get a special international usage plan when I go home, right? And when I move back permanently that'd be a pain.
Does anyone know of any way my dad could get me a US iPad without just buying it there and mailing it (I think he's worried about just putting it in the post)? I saw the gifting option on the website, but it doesn't give any information about the region the product would be. Thanks!

It will probably be a lot less expensive to buy it in the UK, even adding VAT. The problem with shipping it from the US is that your father will need to pay for shipping (depending on the carrier and speed, it could cost another $100). Then you have to insure it. Then YOU will have to pay HM Customs when it arrives in the UK. And then you risk it being lost or stolen en route, even if insured.
Buy it in the UK. As others have mentioned, it is unlocked. So, you can get a monthly plan in the UK. When you come back to the US, go to an AT&T store, get a SIM, and using a US credit card, get a monthly plan (though you can't get an unlimited plan).

Problems printing international shipping labels in PayPal since updating to iOS 7

Problems printing international shipping labels in PayPal since updating to iOS 7. When I press the reprint label button, another tab opens up, which it did in the previous version but instead of the shipping label bring displayed I get a message saying cannot open page as the network connection has been lost. By this point I have already been charged for the shipping. Any ideas why???

I have the same problem, not just with international labels, but with any shipping labels in Paypal. iPhone 5 and iPad w/ Retina Display using iOS 7.0.2.

Converting External Ship-to-party number to Internal ship-to-party number

Hi Friends,
I am working on Ale idoc scenario in which i need to create sales order from customer purchase order. for this i need to maintain ship-to-party number in advance. Customer is providing me with list of ship to party number, but i dont want to maintain external number. I wan to maintain internal ship-to-party number and assign it to external ship-to-party number coming from idoc from customer PO.
So Please suggest how can i do this. is there some standard functionality provided by sap for this, coz i think this is standard requirement.

Hi Brijesh,
You can maintain the value of external ship to party number in the customer master against a system generated(internal) customer number.
This can be done in the sales view----partners tab of customer master. The field is called"partner description".
When you received an idoc,you can match the customer number in idoc to the field KNVP-KNREF and against this field pick value of KNVP-KUNNR. once the system determines the correct sold to party then ship to party will be determined automatically.
SAP has given KNREF field especially for these kind of scenarios.

IPhoto Calendar - International Shipping with US Billing Address?

I would like to send a calendar I'm making in iPhoto as gifts to friends around the world. Can I make the purchases using my US based credit card? For example I go to preferences -> advanced and change my store to Singapore (to ship to a friend in Singapore). Would I be able to make the purchase with a credit card with a US billing address?
It is my understanding that if I leave the store as United States in preferences, the inputs would not allow for international addresses to be put in and that is why I'm changing the store's country.

It really is a major failure on Apple's part that international shipping is not allowed. Instead you force users to go to SNAPFISH or other 3rd party services - thus taking our money elsewhere.
Its been a problem for YEARS... please fix this Apple. You can't expect users to open a credit card account in a different country - also its almost impossible to do for most people.

If that is correct.
Than you have to use the following table in the BAPI to update the same.
ORDER_TEXT.
You have to pass
In that structure
For DOC_NUMBER - Sales order number
      ITM_NUMBER - Item number
      TEXT_ID - '0012'
LANGU - 'EN'
TEXT_LINE - Pass the actual text
FUNCTION - Choos the required function listed in the domain

Hi! I have just moved to Singapore from London & have created an iPhoto book that I would like to ship to my Singapore address. However, when I click to purchase the book, it refuses to accept my Singapore postcode.. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you!

How to implement Task Tracker for internal team usage?

I would like to use the APEX Incident Tracker as a tool available to my internal team at Oracle, as a way to request content updates to our webpage.
Is there any documentation / guidance on how to use the APEX Incident Tool and open it to other @oracle.com team members for usage?
I was also having issues with creating Task 'Assignees' within the app.

Charged international phone usage for Whatsapp calls

I have consistently used Whatsapp for years and love it. However, something very odd has happened in the last two months and I got a  call from my provider (Verizon) saying there have been an unusually high  frequency of international calls made by my phone and I had racked up $1200  in charges. I figured it was fraud but then checked my usage online and all calls  (to two regular numbers I call in Europe) show up as regular  international calls. This began at the beginning of September (2014) and I  can't understand what is happening. The rate for these calls is about $1.29/min.
I live in the US and have many contacts in Europe, so like many other people, I have great use for Whatsapp. I was  especially excited back in the spring of this year when they announced free  calling, and I used it a lot. It doesn't make sense to me why I was  successfully making calls for free for the first few months, and then all  of a sudden in September, they've been going out as if I was calling  internationally through my carrier. There was no mistake on my part as I haven't changed any of my methods since the beginning of using Whatsapp calling.
Has anybody else had this experience? Is there some setting that got switched in a new iOS update that makes their calls just run normally? (I know, highly unlikely but I don't know what else could have happened).

I sent an email to whatsup. They told me the call icon is only for convinience but that this app is for texting only. I replied to their email asking gor assistance With the phone bill but they never replied. AT&T is my cell provider so I contacted them. They helped me by adding retroactively an international plan that cost $30.00 so Inwould not have to pay for the full bill. I now have terminated that additional service just did it for a month. AT&T explained to me whatsup is causibg a lot of problems by not explaining this feature up front. I am do glad I have AT&T since it is one of the few american companies that still lrovide awesome chstomer service. Goid luck to you if you have a different cell provider. I have dince deleted shatsup which is own by Facebook they have no accountability!!!!

Go to My Verizon..then at the top under the tab My Services..click on ‘Mange My Services’.
.then on the left hand side of screen you’ll see a tv icon with a ‘My Services’ next to it.
Under it click on “VOICE” .then you’ll see VERIZON WORLD USAGE PLAN..then Click on ‘Manage’
To the right of the globe icon. ..there you can view current and previous month usage.

I am dealing with this: I need to make recoemmendation on how much more space we will need to allocate to the given filesystem for the next year so I need to be looking at trends...I think (thanks to a colleague) that I may have cracked it:
looking at specific mountpoint (over 8 months, or a year or whatever)
High Value = 24
Last known value = 9
So in this time perid the mopunt point has dropped 15%. Lets say this was in a year, so we check out the size of the /data mountpoint which is 20G. So this way we can recommend that we should increase it by 30% (15 for last year and 15 for the next year all things remaining equal which yes i know they never do but hey).
So 30% of 20G is, erm, over 6 but less than 7G to recommend that we increase the disk space by.
Does this make sense?

Yes. The AC adaptors switch automatically. However, you may need a wall outlet adaptor for countries that don't use outlets like in the US. Get the Travel Adaptors from Apple's store.

How to have specific shipping method for only international customers?

In the old BC we had it set up with individual shipping methods Based on a shipping mentod flat for AU/NZ and another All other countries not AU?NZ.
In tests it worked because of the desination shipping address specified a country. (at least that appeared to be the case )
This seemes to have changed ( when ? ) and now checkout only displays the Australian shipping options to the "other countries customers" who should only see the shipping option of International (all countries not au and NZ).
Yes - There are issues with the dashboard shipping method selector, but we do have the shipping methods configured correctly.
We don't have separate currency prices for other countries or language pages etc, just simply 1 site selling in $AU priced products, but needs to have an international shipping option appear at checkout to those customer countries listing in the international shipping method list, and not see the AU shipping method.
Currently all AU ? NZ customers see correct AU shipping choices at checkout
Other countries customers don't see the international shipping choice at checkout, but do see the AU / NZ shipping displayed
Any one else had this issue? Advise appreciated, not sure how to get this functional for international customers checkout, thanks

Issues with printing/viewing International PayPal Shipping Labels on Safari

Hello, thank you for reading my post. Any suggestions or information is appreciated!...
I currently have Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) installed on my iMac G4; I am also running OS X 10.3.9.
I finally figured out why I could not successfully print my domestic US, pre-paid shipping, PayPal labels on my iMac.. BUT now I have a new problem that I can not seem to fix.
Now I can not view or print International shipping labels on PayPal. Their website says that I need to install Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment (J2SE JRE). However, both of PayPal's direct links are dead.
Besides, I ran Terminal to see what Java version I have installed, and this is what came up:
java version "1.4.2_09"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_09-233)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-56, mixed mode)
So according to the above message, it seems that I ALREADY have Java 2 Runtime Environment installed! I am SO confused.
Are there any eBay sellers here that know what I need to do in order to fix this problem? I'm tired of having to run to the post office every time I get an international order.

You are correct, I am running OS X 10.3.9; sorry about any confusion. I am 'away' from my iMac at present (a whloe other story), I forgot that I had already put that information on this post. Thank you for pointing this out.
That's interesting about your being able to use Preview to view and print domestic PayPal shipping labels with OS X 10.4.5. If I remember correctly, using Prewiew as the default reader will not work for OS X 10.3.9 and below. It seems that Apple really took these 'glitches' into consideration for 10.4 and above; good for them. Thank you for letting us know about Preview working for 10.4.5. I actually perfer Preview to Acrobat Reader, but only AR would work for me when trying to PRINT out a domestic PayPal shipping label. I think I remember that Preview would allow me to view the sample PayPal prepaid shipping label with the red lettering across it, but it would NOT allow me to successfully PRINT the actual label out.
On a side note, you know, FireFox has been operating seemlessly so far, and I have yet to read anything negative or experience anything negative with this browser. I would replace Microsoft's buggy Internet Explorer with it in a heart beat; I only wish I had known about FireFox sooner and gotten rid of IE sooner. I have nothing put praise for FireFox and it's seemless integration across the board with both Apple Microsoft based computers. Now I use this as my default browser and I actually use Safari as a backup browser, but I have yet to have any problems with FireFox, so I havn't used Safari since I downloaded FireFox.

Yes, I will definitely keep this thread posted if and when I am able to print an INTERNATIONAL PayPal label successfully using FireFox browser on OS X 10.3.9. If I am unable to do so when the time comes, I think I am just going to have to upgrade my OS as soon as possible. Will certainly be worth not having to drive to the Post Office every time I get an International order... NOW if we could only get PayPal to offer other shipping options for International packages. I have written them several times asking them to add Airmail Letter Post Rate and also Global Priority Flat Rate SMALL Envelope. They really need to add other options for Domestic packages as well. Natually, I have only received canned answers from them. Oh well, what's that saying about leading a horse to water? =P
