Interoperability between server using 6.1SP9 and client using 5.1SP9
Hi,
We have a weblogic server running on a Solaris 2.6 machine. This server
hosts some EJBs and it is also a JMS provider. We are using Weblogic 6.1 SP2
& JDK 1.3.1 for this server. Now we need to be able
to access this server from clients running on Solaris 2.5.1 machine and
jdk 1.2.2_05a. Since Weblogic6.1 is not certified on Solaris 2.5.1, we will
have to use Weblogic5.1(SP9 or SP11) on the client side. Would this work?
If not, do we have any choice besides running the clients on
Solaris 2.6 or highr machines and using different version of Weblogic & JDK?
I will appreciate any help/pointers.

Sorry, but you are aut of luck there. Had the same problem and according to BEA
communication between different version are not supported until 6.1 and higher.
That is 6.0 to 6.1 will not work but 6.1 to 7.0 will work.
That is an extrem pain and I have no idea why. I suggest that you look into SOAP
or some RMI server that will marshall requests or something. That is however some
serious work and will also kill the performance.

I am trying to import one of my non-BC sites into BC, using Dreamweaver CC, and then use it as one of my free WebBasics sites.
When I try to create a new BC site in Dreamweaver CC, it creates a BC template site, and I have unsuccessfully tried to update the files on BC - it won't let me connect.
If I import the site from my portal, I don't get the option of a free site - when I try to upgrade, I get the credit card form asking for payment.
I feel like I'm running around in circles with one foot nailed to the floor.

I choose the smallest size, 3x4 but I'd prefer to go higher as this DVD was originally a VHS home movie. The last week, Firefox will not load up the NEW YORK TIMES. So, I have had to use Safari to do so. If this continues, I'm going to quit using your browser, and begin using Safari all the time!
There are several other similar posts in this forum with the answers. Your post appears third in my Google search today looking for a solution so I thought I'd add the solution here as well.
It is obviously a bug in either (or both) Firefox and the NYT.
The quickest solution is to simply go to the VIEW Menu in Firefox, then the ZOOM option and choose RESET.
I use Mac and this happens in Firefox 3.6.10. It does not happen in other browsers like Safari, Chrome and Camino, and it did not occur before last week.
It has also occurred in the iOS version of Safari on iPad. Not sure how to fix it there. -

We are in the process of enabling Client Authentication for one of our websites. When enabling client authentication in iPlanet 6.1SP2 somethings go wrong when using the client uses Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.5.
It seems that when using a IE browser older than 6.0 the Content Type is being sent twice:
Contect type: application/x-www-form-urlencode, application/x-www-form-urlencode and the servlet that needs to capture the data which is sent by the Client replies with a Cannot process an empty request.Does anyone have a workaround for this??I hadn't heard of this problem before, but it should be possible to work around it by adding the following lines to obj.conf:

I have not had the chance to troubleshoot this issue but I strongly suspect that clients using Comcast which is now giving out routing working ipv6 addresses are failing to connect because of it. Has anyone else experienced the same?

Teredo is still the best technology for Windows 7 Clients. if you can install you DA service in Edge mode then the Win 7 clients will benefit.

Trouble with channels and clients using different 802.11 g/n adapters
Hi,
I have moved to a new home and I have a lot of problems with the wireless network
I have configured the airport extreme to use the "802.11n draft" with backward compatibility to b ang g at 2,4 GHz.
I had to manually select channel because the "Auto" option will probably use channel 6 and in this way all my clients are unable to connect.
After many tests I have found that I cannot use channels from 4 to 9 because my macbook airport card will not detect the wireless network. Channel 1 seems to be the best choice but it is used by other people in the near homes also.
With channel 1 my macbook is able to connect and mantain a stable connection, the signal is about 35%, unfortunally other clients (using windows XP, broadcom wireless adapter or a d-link DWA-140 USB key) are unable to have a good and stable connection: it is always "low", "very low" or not available
Using the D-Link DWA-140 wireless config utility I have discovered today that channel 5 seems to be the better for such device: using channel 5 it is able to connect windows clients from everywhere with good or excellent signal BUT my macbook wireless results completely dead instead :-/, the same for broadcom client.
D-link is unable to connect if I set channel 6 to 9 also.
Macbook is unable to connect to 5GHz 802.11n pre-standard, D-Link is able instead.
I have no cordless phones or running microwaves in the kitchen, the only thing I have is an home alarm using infrared and microwave sensors in each room. But they told me that they are using a frequency range much different from 2.4 GHz. Unfortunally I am unable to completely power off them and test some more.
May be that near homes have cordless phones, wireless routers or video/audio repetitors, I don't know. I also have much iron in my walls. It is very strange that d-link can use very well channel 5 while other wireless cards/clients are unable to find any network there.
I am going to become creazy... if I was able to explain the situation, could anybody help to investigate some more or try to solve?

Fabiomay be I have found the cause of all these troubles: the alarm motion sensors installed in each room.
I have made a search in the Internet and I have found the technical details of my sensors: microwave tecnology used by them is exactly using the frequency of 2.45 GHz :-/
So I have moved outsite of my hause the Airport Extreme and notebooks to confirm my suppose:
all channels were perfectly working, "auto channel" selection was ok, macbook was able to connect at 5GHz 802.11n mode. Windows client was ok too with all wireless cards or USB devices.
The alarm sensors seem to be always active and seems not possibile to have them completely off when the alarm is not activated.
I think I am going to switch them to a different version that does not use 2.45 GHz microwaves.
It seems the solution to my troubles.

The choice selection for that interface is as follows: 0 = first available, 1 = prefer the selected server group, and 2 = only use the selected server group.
The server group selection is by the SI_ID for that server group InfoObject.

HPDM using WOL with thin clients using WES8
When using HPDM 4.6 with t620 clients using WES8, the Wake on LAN option does not work.It makes it impossible to do settings and deployments outside office hours.How can this be fixed?

Thin clients normally have a low memory allocation on the video card (8mb to 16MB) so this can be a problem. Check to see if you can change this in the BIOS on the WYSE. If not connect at 256 Colours to reduce this. If you have pictures linked to products then their resolution will not be good but for SAP itself the difference is small. Also rename the SAPSS.AVI to .old if you have not already done so so that the splash screen does not come up when logging in.
In my multimedia testing on thin clients, unrelated to SBO, I found that both memory and processor power made a huge difference, which is contrary to thin client manufacturer claims. As an example I used a 200MHz/64MB TC for a flash application and sound was about 3 seconds behind the image and the image update would skip 3 to 5 frames when updating. Moving to a 800Mhz/128MB TC The frame refresh rate was almost perfect and the sound was only about 0.5 seconds behind. I would therefore test on a more powerful thin client to see if it improves performance.
The S30 is a 400MHz (rated @ 533 on performance by AMD). Try a 1GHz TC with the maximum Video memory you can find.
We are currently using VXL Itona 800Mhz/128MB and do not experience too much rolling but we are using 256 colours.

I made some objects in Cinema 4D and I tried to import them into After Effects CC 2014. I get an error saying 'Cannot find Adobe Premiere Pro Dynamic Link'. So I tried it in AE CC and that worked. However, I want to create a form object and then use that as a particle for Trapcode Particular. Is this even possible?

If I were creating an animated 3D shape using Form or C4D and wanted to use it as a particle I would keep the size of the particle about 1/6 to 1/8 of the comp size. You would create a new comp for your particle, animate it, then nest the particle comp in your main comp, turn off visibility, and then use it as a particle in Particular.

Is it possible to do this? I need to create a document so that I can export as a high quality CMYK for print and export the same file as RGB jpeg / pdf for web and email use. Do I have to create the document with 2 different colourspaces, or can I change / convert the colourspace after I have created and finished the document? or is there some simple way to select an RGB / CMYK option when saving/exporting?

In addition to what Monika said, the document can be either CMYK or RGB Colr Mode, but not both.
And you are right in starting with the CMYK because that will ensure (to the degree possible) that the CMYK and RGB versions match in colour (gamut, the CMYK gamut being the more linited and almost entirely included in the RGB gamut); this will prevent more vivid RGB colours which will make the CMYK colours seem duller. -
I use LabView 6i and I use Dialog Tab Control, but I can't put colors on it, some one try it before?
The Diaglog Tab Control works very well, but I could not paint it with Front Panel tools or with its property. Any one knows about this, thanks!
