Invalid file (help me)

i made a simple midlet run well in my emulator but when i put it onto my device it can't be install and on other device it's invalid file... 't drive me crazy and i've no idea what the problems... i've tried my midlet into nokia n gage, nokia 3650, and nokia 3105 but my midlet won't work... help me.....

Hi,
there are few causes: how do you upload the files to the device? If over server, make sure there are correct MIME types set.
Do you have the correct MIDP and CLDC versions specified in .JAD file?
Isn't the file too big? Keep it as small as possible (generally use 64kB as maximum).

  • Copying files from Mac to Windows-invalid file names

Unfortunately, my boss likes Windows more than Macs, so we have puchased some new Dell computers to replace older G4 Macs.
I'm having trouble copying existing files from a Mac (OS 10.4)to the shared drive on the Windows XP computer. I'm getting an error message:
"You can't copy the item 'filename' because the name is too long or includes characters that the disk can't display." Sometimes it doesn't give a filename, it gives a similar message "Some items couldn't be copied..."
I assume the person has used some "illegal" file names such as "Meeting minutes 10/7/07" Or maybe we have too many folders inside of folders.
QUESTION: Is there a correct/better way to copy large quantites of files/folders from Mac to Windows? Or is there a program that will look at the Mac files and alert me to wrong or too long files names?
Other ideas to copy these files?
    thanks,
    Bill

You can use a freeware utility like Renamer4Mac or BatchRename'em both of which have built-in filters that will rename files for Windows compatibility.
Thank you... This sounded to me like it would fix the problem, so I downloaded both and looked at them. However, the manual/help file is very sparse, so I don't know if it will do what I want to and how it would do it.
    1. I couldn't find any option in either program to: Look at all files in selected folder, and list any invalid file names for Windows.
    2. There doesn't seem to be an option to "rename files without bad Windows characters" or "Remove invalid for Windows characters"
I just couldn't find any explanation of how it was offering to rename the files. I can't rename all files to sequential names, that would make it hard to find a file later.
    Thank you,
    Bill

anyone has any idea abt this.
    im stuck :( pls help.
    thanks

Did you uninstall 1.3 completely? Completely in the sense both jdk and jre.
You may get this error if you use javac of one version and the rt.jar of another version.

  • Compiling Media invalid file path error when buring a DVD

    Hello,
I have updated to 3.0.2 Premiere Elements and the latest XP Home updates. I had 2.0 and it worked without any problems. I bought 3.0 and have had nothing but problems, I can capture, access files and put a video together but no matter if to file or to DVD I always get this error
    "Burn DVD Progress screen"
    "Compiling Media invalid file path"
then it all stops and nothing.
Any help or suggestions appreciated, I searched the web for this error and found nothing, when I search here I seem to get every Adobe product comes up but no premiere.
    Thank you

I started to do the FAQ to build a clean AVI file. I also re-installed the program, did an update to 3.0.2, defrag. Made sure I had 118gig space. All in order. Still I got the errors. Then I thought perhaps since this pointed to a path that somewhere a path was not correct. So I looked under Preferences - scratch disks - and found they all pointed to the D drive where I had some old Adobe files. It appears the 2.0 version worked when I had the files stored on another partition and 3.0 did not like this. So when I moved everything in Scratch Disk to the same folder on C: where I installed 3.0 things seemed to begin to work.
I tested it by burning to a file and then to an actual DVD and both worked well. I have a quad core chip.
Now the problem seems to be when I edit each end of a clip, "the IN and OUT" the in does not seem to be saved or rendered. When I get to the preview I can still see and hear date prior to the SET IN. I save, re-save and re-render and it still happens. However some clips it works fine.
Thanks again for pointing me in a direction so at least I can start to trouble shoot.

I got a procmon log file and examined it. I have the file and I could also provide you with that or screenshots of it.
There is nothing unusual about it. I can see entires in which CR has successfully opened the report and has cached in a c:\windows\temp.
However there is one or two non-successful entries that may be related, especially that examining the stack trace brings us to a call to get_ProductLocaleID():
    - A call to read reg entry HKU\S-1-5-20\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Crystal Reports\Locale fails with NAME NOT FOUND.
    - immediately after that and from the same process (w3wp.ex) there is a call to open directory "c:\" which is logged as ACCESS DENIED.
Any subsequent unsuccessful calls seem to be results of exception handling in the debug code.
Does this point to any setup issues with CR? We always run the redistributable x86 runtime when installing it.

  • HT201303 When I try to update my apps it takes me to my billing and says my security code on my card is invalid. Help?

iTunes is telling me that the security code on the back of my visa is invalid. Help?

Is the address on your iTunes account exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bill : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 ? If it is then you could try what it says at the bottom of that page :
If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.
And/or try contacting iTunes support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Invalid file path when building

Okay so I try to build a DVD folder and once it gets to the "opening project" part I get an error message that says "invalid file path". I'm going to try and burn it later once I get a chance, just wondering if anyone has any insights before I try.
Any help would be great, thanks.

    Ben,
Glad to say (for me), that I have not seen these two errors. Doesn't help you, but I do have one thought. "Invalid File Path," indicates that Encore could not find the path specified. In searching for a solution to that error, I'd check to see if the path, that you designated, exists, exists in the exact spelling that you specify, and that it is available - not on an external that is powered down, not on a network, etc.. Check your spelling religiously. Check your "\'s" your "/'s" and everything about the path. Check in Explorer that the two match, and that that path is available. Put it on an internal HDD and make sure that it is not open in any other program. As a test, Copy a file to it. Open that file. If all goes well, then Delete that test file, before you Export to that folder.
It's probably a matter of dotting the "i's" and crossing the "t's."

  • Invalid file while installing jar to motorazr v3i

    HI,
    Please help me.
I have simple midp application which print helloworld and working fine on enumerator.
    this is creted in netbeans.
So i have copy my jar file which is generated by running application in netbeans.
jar file is in this floder
    C:\Documents and Settings\sai\My Documents\NetBeansProjects\bhavin\dist
when i install this on my motorazr v3i phone it says me invalid file.
can anyone here help me to get out of this problem???
    I would really appreciate it.
    waiting for replies,

You probably have the wrong MIDP setting in Netbeans. It's default setting is MIDP 2.1, but most phones only support 2.0. Right-click on the properties of the project and select MIDP2.0 and recompile.

  • Invalid File Id Error

    Hello,
I am using shell script to run a set of sql scripts againts a 9.2 db.
When the script tries to write a file to a specified location it gives the following error,
    DECLARE
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-29282: invalid file ID
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_FILE", line 714
    ORA-06512: at line 395
    ORA-29280: invalid directory path
But if I run the same set of queries in a different box it runs successfully with now issues. We have verified that both versions of Oracle and AIX are one and the same. the directories to which it is trying to write has the same permissions too. Also did a comparison of the objects and didn't see any difference.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

  • Getting rid of invalid files

I have most of my files stored on a 2TB external hard drive. Sometimes it's connected to my laptop, sometimes it's not. Also because of the large amount of files, I also reorganize my hard drive very often.
Whenever my external hard drive is not connected and I open iTunes, all my files have a gray exclamation point ! next to them, and it states that +"The movie xxx could not be used because the original file could not be found."+ It fails to detect the files when my hard drive is connected and I have to add folders all over again. Half the files cannot be located because they have been moved manually due to my own reorganization.
So I have thousands, possibly tens of thousands of files marked with a gray "!" and it makes adding files to my iPhone a huge pain in the ***. I try to manually delete a couple of hundred a day but the invalid files do not stop. It was possible in previous iTunes versions but for iTunes 9 is there any way that I can remove all these "!" files with one go? Even any kind of external software that would help remove them would be helpful at this point.

    *Adding new items/removing orphans*
Try iTunes Folder Watch or iTunes Library Updater. Folder Watch is much faster on the adding files front, can be set to run in the background and includes a useful exclusion feature, however it’s really slow at removing orphans. iTLU is better for this although doing it manually after looking at a list of proposed removals generated by Folder Watch is probably faster still. iTLU can also be set to update iTunes when you've used 3rd party tools to change tag info.
