Invoice posting allowed despite GR reversal

Hi Guys,
I have created a PO with GR based IV indicator checked.Then GR is done and after that GR is reversed.Now when I tried to post the invoice against the po it is allowing to post the invoice.Only thing is that you have to enter the price in the IV.
How can I block such invoice creation
In OMBZ i have unchecked the indicator against the mvt type 102

    I have a PO that was goods receipted and invoiced receipted. Later on, the GR was reversed, and now that entry needs to be reverse... We're having a negative value in our reports that should not be there.
    What would be the way to fix this? Is it OK that the goods receipted may be reversed after invoice receipted.. i.e. after an invoice has been posted? In Tx. OMBZ the Mvt. 102 has "RevGR desp. IR" unchecked.

    Just do a GR again for the PO and this should fix your problem. The original document and reversal documents will remain there with another GR document against PO.
    Unless the payment against the invoice hasnt been made, your preceding documents can be changed. Once the payment has been made, you should not be able to change any preceding document.

  • Post park ivoice M8079 'Reversal value greater than value invoiced to date'

    I create a Service purchase order number is 8200000747 in our products system, and service entry sheet number is 1000026152, material document number is 5000306476.
    When I create a park invoice reference this Service PO, the system can not clear GR/IR account with that service entry sheet(1000026152). When we want to post this park invoice, system generate message M8079 'Reversal value greater than value invoiced to date'. But, this item never been verification invoice , I can find this not cleared  GR/IR data in MR11, this item not a multi account assignment , no foreign currency.
    What happened? How can I carry out the correct GR/IR account data in park invoice?

    The Material was issued to Cost Centre
    Later at the time of Excise Invoice posting, we came to know that the Tax Code in the Purchase Order was wrong. Here in our case, we have created separate Tax Code based on Excise Percentage. For example, V1 for VAT 5%, E1 for VAT %+Excise 10.3%.
    To post the excise invoice, we changed the Tax Code in the Purchase Order and did the Excise Posting as follows:
    24820020     CENVAT Inp SHEcess     1.00
    24820000     CENVAT Inp BED     100.00

    My Question:
    a. Is this the correct way?

    Here my worry is the all the postings have been made in SAP in Production Client.
    The User has already done the postings for MIRO & J1IEX without informing to us, and the volume of transactions is huge.
    We are in the back-log mode and at this stage, we can't go for any reversal . I am Just exploring the alternatives.
    Our MM & FI Users are little bit smart, when ever they do some mistake, they simply say "we will pass a JV" and we are not able to educate them that the JV is not a Solution. Please guide.

    In transaction code : VF11, where we cancel billing document ,
    Invoice posted in old / closed financial period and got cancelled in current period, the cancel invoice should be posted as an Open document,with out reversing the original invoice.

    I will answer your question one by one.
    The answer for the first question is, YEs you can have any many periods open as you wish. This you can do in T.Code OB52. In OB52 , You have to give from which period to which period it should be open.
    Now coming to the second question. i don't think there is any other way to upload the balanace.

    First you go GR document, in tht you can find the Excise invoice document number. Go to J1IEX select cancel/reverse enter the Excise Invoice number then save it. Based on you selection Excise invoice will be cancelled or reversed.
    In J1ID if you selected single GR, single credit for material you hve to cancel the excise invoice you can reverse it. If you selected single GR,multiple credits or Multiple GR, Multiple credits you can reverse the excise invoice.

  • COPA document not generated when Post Goods Issue is reversed.

    Hello Friends,
    WE uses Stock Transport Order in two steps for transfering Stock from one plant to another.  We have defined a Condition type FRB1 to capture the Freight cost involved in the stock transfer.
    When the Post goods issue is done for the Stock Transport Order. following Accounting documents are generated.
    Accounting
    Profit Center
    COPA
    Spec. Purpose Ledger
    Controlling Document
    Material Ledger document.
    But When the Post goods issue is reversed through transaction code VL09 all the above documents are generated except for COPA document. Though in controlling document it shows the object type hit is REO i.e profitability Analysis
    For further information we have mapped cost element (600150) with Value field in PA transfer structure (Direct assignment from FI and MM. Movement type used for PGI are 641 & 642.

    I thank all those who put in thier time and efforts for possible solution for my problem. But I could resolve this issue with help from SAP.
    Basically in costing based COPA the system does not post the cost of goods sold to COPA during goods issue but it is done at the time of posting the invoice since the system wants to see the revenues and the COGS values together.
    Since the system posts the COGS into COPA at the time of invoice posting, you will appreciate that if this is also done during goods
    issue then you will have duplicate entries in your COPA (i.e. the COGS will be doubled).
    If in transaction VL01N/VL02N a costing-based line item would be posted, the costs would be double in CO-PA (the billing and goods issue). For this reason, no costing based line items will be created in the standard R/3 system for transaction VL01N/VL02N.
    If for some reason you still wish to post the COGS to COPA during goods issue you have to do the same thro a modification of the system.In your case you have applied note 214381 for the same. Please note here that movement type '641' is used as an example. For other movement types you will need to code accordingly.
    as per note 337488 point 2. the changes of note 214381 were not required in our case. Therefore we reverted these changes in LKEIIF01 and added the relevant coding for movement type 642 in function COPA_DOCUMENT_CHECK as per note 337488 point 2.

    Dear expert,
    what is the best practice for posting an invoice? Is it in SRM system or MM system? In SRM, the system allows one to use approval procedure for invoice posting; wheras in MM, one cannot use the apporval procedure to post an invoice. similar is the case, in SRM-SUS and MM-SUS scenario?
    I would appreciate if you can feedback on the industry practice.

    As a SAP customer we use invoice entry in ERP using MIRO and FB60 as these are the most efficient for our busines.
    1. Invoice entry using MIRO tcode is faster as it can be done with minimal use of the mouse.  Invoice entry is slower in SRM as browser response and interactions with the backed ERP system slows the systems reponse to the user input.  Repeated use of a mouse in the SRM browser is detrimental to fast input.
    2. Not all types of invoices can be handled in SRM e.g. Invoice without PO.
    3. We process approx 20,000 invoices per month with multiple input operators, SRM could not handle that sort of load.
    4. SRM is really a procurement application and although invoice entry is included it is probably more for users who wish to use SRM in a stand alone scenario.  We use extended classic so all our financial transactions take place in the ERP backend.
    Your choice also depends upon the number and quality of the invoices you plan to process, and the need for the operators to be trained on one or two systems.

Once the decision is made then the  standard system allows to post invoice. But I want to restrict invoice posting once the material is rejected for quality reasons.

    posting of invoice is always allowed, the only thing you can restrict with customizing of QM in Procurement is the payment.
    if you want to block invoice posting, then you have to control this in a user exit.

    Hello everyone. My client is using OpenText VIM ( Vendor Invoice Management ) for incoming invoices. VIM automatically triggers FB60 (in case of PO invoice) & MIRO ( In case of PO invoice ). The invoice posting happens automatically in the background which doesn't allow automatic vendor downpayment clearing against these invoices ( done my a 'down payment clearing' push button in normal circumstances in MIRO when posting the invoice manually ). My client doesnt want to use F-54 for downpayment clearing after MIRO. Many of your clients now-a-days would be using automatic invoice posting , how are you guys managing the automatic downpayment process. I would really appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance

  • Invoice Reduction-Vendor error: only a higher amount invoiced is allowed

    I am trying to replicate the "Invoice Reduction" Scenario (for both Price and Quantity Variance scenario).
    1) Created a PO for 25 PCE and made GR for 10 PCE (10 USD/PCE).
    2) Entering Invoice for 25 PCE and Amount 2500 USD and I have selected correction ID as Vendor Error: Reduce Invoice. So when the document is posted system should generates the Invoice document and Credit memo.
    But I am getting the error as mentioned in subject.
    Please find below the Error description:
    Vendor error: only a higher amount invoiced is allowed
    Message no. M8582
    Diagnosis
    The item amount in the invoice of          100.00 is smaller than the item amount of        2,500.00 suggested by the system.
    System response
    You currently cannot enter an amount that is smaller than that expected by the system. This would lead to a credit memo for the vendor.
    Procedure
    You can change the default values to correspond to the invoice and then post the invoice.

    Please check if the PO is GR based invoice verification is checked.
    since the GR is only done for the partial qty while you enter the invoice and reducing it system is giving the error.
    If vendor sends a higher amount /qty when compared to PO you can try for a reduction.

  • Mass cancellation of invoices Posted in MIRO and FB60

    Hello,
    Because of wrong VAT customizing in OB40, i have several invoices posted to wrong VAT G/L Account.
    Now the user need a solution to correct this situation.
    I proposed FB08, F.80, MR8M but this is not a good solution for the user because, if i reverse one of this wrong invoices, the system will post the reversal to the new G/L account that is recently corrected in OB40
    What is the solution in this case, manual G/L posting ?

    P.S. By the way, I'm not that sure that, during the reversal the systme will 'derive' the account; I believe, it should simply make a reversal posting on the accounts of original documents.

       I am posting invoices using BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE. These invoices have POs associated with the Item Details. This is working fine for me.
       I want to post invoices that DO NOT have a PO. Can someone please point me to a BAPI that is similar to BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE in functionality but does not require a PO?

    I too was looking for a BAPI for non PO invoice posting.  I found that the above counsel did not work for me.  Instead of creating a buyside invoice, it just created a journal entry.  What DID work for me was BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST.
    Below, I am pasteing the subroutines that I created for its calling.  In it, for my purposes, only the invoice amount is parameter driven.  My needs allowed all other BAPI parameters to stay the same.

  • Duplicate invoice posting due to archived accounting documents

    Hi,
    Duplicate invoice posting is allowing against the below two Invoice reference nou2019s
    In transaction MIRO.
    00082 and 00072.
    After investigation I have found that these invoice reference nou2019s are used in 2002 for accounting documents 3300130419 and 3300135574 and these two documents are archived, and found that these accounting entries are missing in the table BKPF and existing in the table BSIP.
    We donu2019t want to allow the system to post duplicate invoices (For Example: against 00082 and 00072 Invoice reference Nos.)

    Settings for Duplicate Invoice Check In Vendor Master is correct
    Customization setting OMRDC transaction, tick mark for invoice reference no. only
    If all the cited characteristics match, the system displays a
    customizable message. M8462 (if logistics invoice documents are found) or M8108 (if accounting documents are found).
    I have ensured that message M8108 (if accounting documents are found) is maintained as an error message in OMRM.
    Still system is allowing duplicate invoices for the reference nos. 00082 and 00072.
    For other reference Nos. which are previously used for other documents, system issues error message successfully.
    I dont want to delete archived accounting doc. and if I maintaind BKPF entris of this archived doc manually it will create probelm in FI.
    is this happen due to life span of secondory index of archived accounting doc. is completed ?.
